Price-Tag

From the price-tag of the vat-system to the price-tag of a rat,
And like the rat race in this world!
But with no compromise to expose your muse to others,
So how cam i pay my water-bills when there is no water running in my tap?

Here in Ghana with many light-outs to put us in darkness always,
And of the days in the darkness with the hope of seeing you once again;
But others do explore the negative ways to jump the bills,
And they are what we call economic thieves! !

Aluminium rod sign-plates,
'God Bless our homeland Ghana' is what they say;
But this first line of our National Anthem had never taught many!
And the price.tag of the Ghanaian still matters to me.

Parliamentarians are late to the parliament,
But that is normal in their own eyes over here in Ghana;
And the African Tea comes next with the muse of the heat,
For the Bushmen are ready with their cutlasses! !
And like the African-Time-Syndrome all over the place.

Incredible! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
This is Ghana! !
Our Beloved Country;
But the Ghanaians do love their pockets more than Ghana itself.

Who's To Blame

Oh Mother Ghana; Mother Ghana
What has happened to you?
What has happened to your culture?
They say we've fold arms against 'Vernacular' language
Instead opened arms wide to 'English' language

Oh Mother Ghana Mother Ghana
Why?
At school, we are taught the things we do not know
By the 'English' language
Why not 'Vernacular' language?

Oh Mother Ghana, Oh Mother Ghana
Where is your true identity as pure African?
Where is your pride as true Ghanaian?

Oh Mother Ghana, Oh Mother Ghana,
Day after day
When we put on the uniform as students
We are forbidden to speak 'Vernacular' language
Instead the 'English' language
Why Mother Ghana, why Mother Ghana?
When we speak 'Vernacular' language; your culture,
They say: 'Speak English' someone's culture!
When we speak 'English' that someone's culture
They say: 'Abrofosem; speak vernacular language' your culture!

Oh Mother Ghana, Oh Mother Ghana
Who's to blame?
'English or Vernacular language'
Oh Mother Ghana; Oh Mother Ghana.

Who Am I?

Who am i?
I was born and grew up in Ghana to an Egyptian mother and a Togolese father;
Who am i?
I have taken to the culture, language and the education of Ghana to this present day;
And i know more about Ghana than Togo and Egypt.
Who am i?
I am an half-cast to satisfy my status;
And i can easily blend with my colleagues in Togo and Egypt as well,
But who am i?
In Ghana i eat a lot of plantain,
In Egypt i eat a lot of couscous,
And in Togo i eat a lot of beans;
So i am an African on apeaceful course.
My accent is very sound in Arabic, French and English;
But you can call me black or white because i am always the same,
For i have never caught the wind with my hands!

Sana Boja

Hello Sana Boja my friend,
It is a very time since we met in Ghana;
And i hope you are now doing well in Gambia.
Try to exhibit your talents at all times and,
Do go for your dreams always;
And remember that you do have a friend in Ghana.
Your experiences in Ghana during your visit tells it all,
So do move on in life Sana Boja;
For i am what i am today with my mind always on a muse.

Welcome To Ghana

'Akwaaba'! 'Akwaaba'! !
'Akwaaba' to Ghana,
The Black Star of Africa!
Like shopping the past in descent ways,
I have more news fro you;
Welcome to the land of my birth.

Tourism, tourism, tourism!
True tourism comes from Africa! !
Where nature abounds for you to smile always;
So, come to Ghana and see things for yourself.
Visit the Gateway of Africa,
'Akwaaba' to the land of Freedom!

'Ghana your beloved country is free forever'! ! !
Whose idea was it?
Whose vision was it?
Whose motivations was it?
There are many answers to the worls so sweet when,
You do visit us in Ghana;
On the West Coast of Africa!

Ghana is full of natural resources,
Africa is full of natural resources;
'Akwaaba' is the message full of,
The hospitalities of the Ghanaian;
So, come and see things for yourself.
From the Castles of Slavery Days to,
The jungles of the animals;
'Akwaaba' to Ghana,
The Gateway of Africa!

From the cultural acts to traditions,
Your camera shots will fill your luggage;
What about the heat of the Sun?
'Waooo'! You will be touched with extra vitamin D;
It's all in the land of Freedom and Justice! !

The Writer's Ink

I am the writer's ink,
So just write with me without any fear;
I will move more than expected,
I will write more than expected,
I am the writer's ink.
Use me slowly or even faster,
I will talk more than expected;
I do have the message to teach everyone.
Of the beauty of communication,
I am used by everyone;
I am the writer's ink,
I do make people sad or glad;
My ink makes rulers sad,
My ink makes personalities sad,
My ink makes the common man sad,
The way i am used matters.
I am the writer's ink,
I am not expensive;
Buy me and use me always.
How can a country like Ghana be poor? !
Ghana has gold, oil, cocoa and timber;
There are also diamond, bauxite and other minerals;
How then can Ghana be poor? !
The writer's ink should tell us more.
Mismanagement is the food in the country,
Ghana has really more than it needs;
This country shouldn't be poor.
What the leaders say on air is not,
What we see on the ground;
I am the talkative ready to talk.
I am the writer's ink,
I will always speak the truth!

Abreast

Alike,
Afar,
Abreast,
Alot,
Abode,
And like the presentations of your descendants!
But you are about to learn from the scribe,
And like the best of the Irish Dance.
Beans and fried plantain,
The timber of Ghana and the oil of Ghana;
But with red, gold and green to satisfy your muse!
Because you are all that it takes.

Dr. Flash Hour

Horses from Egypt,
Of the prophecy and the love of your muse;
But the cocoa of Ghana is what you need today,
For i am about to tell you a story on this love!

She went to her own country like the royal bounty,
And the forest of Lebanon was exposed;
But i will present to you meat or vegetables at your request,
For Dr. Flash Hour is here with us tonight.

Dr. Flash Hour,
I am lovely and you've got the night;
And i will spread out my wings of love to learn how to fly away with you,
Because i can't easily forget how you taught me how to ride on the horse of Egypt.

My love is with you but the cocoa of Ghana is what you need on this love,
And i am ever ready to present my love along to satisfy you!
For the your sweet muse is like a country with a royal bounty.

Ghana's Most Beautiful

When drums are head
when beads on the ankle rattle
when flute gives it traditional rhythm
one thing comes in mind, the lives of our fathers
the rhythm of their heart beat.
Their quest for unity. We display them

We are Ghana's most beautiful
the eyes of our region.
We represent our culture and the beauty of
Ghanaians.
Our culture and hospitality makes alien natives
of our land
we are Ghana's most beautiful.

We are women of diverse culture
but common history.
We use beauty to promote unity
we use beauty to discourage conflict.
We use beauty to tell you, your history.
We are Ghana's most beautiful
the eyes of our society.

Let Us Go Backwards

Lesbians and homosexuals,
Come to Ghana and you will meet them;
And, go out of Ghana and, you will meet them as well!
But, have we forgotten about the pages of history? ! !
Then, let us go backwards to the days of Sodom and Gomorrah;
And read about what they did! ! !
And of the punishments thereafter from the Creator;
For, the truth is written plainly for us to understand.

Those Great Entertainers Of Ghana

Those great entertainers of Ghana to their drumming they dance and sing
Music, song and dance an integral part of their culture with them 'tis a natural thing
Compared to them I feel quite ordinary as if my feet are tied to the ground
They sing, dance and drum with a passion in them talent seem to abound
They bring to this great Southern Country their culture from so far away
In these simple lines I do thank them for bringing great joy to my day
So dark and so handsome and lively their whole beings are bubbling and bright
They dance, sing and drum with a passion in the Australian warm sunlight
A long way from tropical Ghana to this sunny Southern Land
They bring their joyful culture with them this marvellous African band
This town that is not known for culture is becoming more multicultural of late
A World without cultural borders is a thing that we should celebrate
And these great entertainers of Ghana they have brought great joy to my day
And I'll retain fond memories of them what better of them can I say.

The Black Stars of Africa

The Black Stars of Africa

In the midst of so much despair
where all hope seem to be lost
the human spirit do seek repair
from an inner recess, at all cost

in all African villages crowds grow
a lone Black Star hope awakening
as the crowd enjoyed the soft glow
of the screen on that cool evening

the Vuvuzela sounds like a bee hive
the Hope of Africa is being revived
in the Black Stars of Ghana to strive
but it is the Hope of Africa survived

Nkrumah’s Independence of Ghana
meaningless unless yoked with Africa
so the Hope of Africa muster to garner
to bring hope as a Ghana vs. America

one lone Black Star ate all their stars
so black stars shine, black balloons fly
to all greater heights to erase the scars
in the skies it is the air that lifts so sly

Aftermath victory, vuvuzela so deafening
Kokorokoo! Africa must now unite as one
Nyame Okokoroko, thank you in defending
Gye Nyame! The Hope of Africa is as one.

A message to 'Big Tony' in U.S.A. and 'White Tony' in Ghana,
Gone are the days that we shared together;
But the marriage is dead when the pleasure is fled.
Sweet America we love you,
Sweet Ghana we love you,
Sweet Africa we love you,
But the summer to me is like life in Takoradi.

1983 And Ghana Today

In a season,
They were all lean! !
And i saw their bones;
But today,
My people have grown fat on their bodies.

This reflects to the life in Ghana!
Yes, of what was seen in 1983 and Ghana today;
For the very people who were looking very thin are now very fat today! !

Louisa, make it a point to visit Ghana;
For the nature is there for you to admire.

Of the Bobiri Forest and Betterfly Sanctuary to visit,
Of the Wechiau Hippo Sanctuary to visit,
Of the Xavi Bird Watching Sanctuary to visit,
Of the Kakum National Park to visit,
Of the Aburi Botanical Gardens to visit,
Of the Bui National Park to visit,
Of the Ankasa Nature Park to visit,
Of the Bonsu Arboretum Park to visit,
Of the Digya National Park to visit,
And to sit under a broom tree with us;
Like a reed shaking in the water of love.

Louisa, make a trip to Ghana and see this lovely place;
For the nature is there for you to admire.

Tanzania In Africa

Rise up Africa!
Rise up Africans! !
Rise up Ghana!
Rise up Ghanaians! !
Rise up Tanzania!
Rise up Tanzanians! !
Tanzania oh Tanzania,
The land of my friend;
Oh Tanzania!
The land of Dr. Julius Nyerere of Africa!
You are blessed with Mount Kilimanjaro,
The land of my friend called, Dr. Ekk;
This is wher true love does span the ages.
You are the highest Mountain in Africa,
Overflowing with colours;
And the wonders of the forest are,
Tanganyika, Rukwa, Nyasa and Lake Victoria!
Oh Tanzania,
Like the hunter's gun;
Oh Tanzania,
The night falls and the rivers bring out their beauties;
So, how many rivers do i have to cross?
Rise up Tanzania,
How many mountains do i have to climb?
Of a country called Tanzania in Africa,
How many Lakes do i have to see?
Maybe, Dr. Ekk will tell me more.
This is your own son living in Shinyanga,
A noble Doctor to his people and the world;
Could it be 'Der Es Salam'?
Then, i have to learn more from these Islands too;
The Islands of Zanzibar and Pemba is what i mean.
What about Tanga?
This is on the Coastal Range with beauty;
Oh Tanzania! !
Do tell me more about yourself;
Bounded by the Indian Ocean is your love.
I am rather bounded by the South Atlantic Ocean;
Like Ghana to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah,
So is Tanzania to Dr. Julius Nyerere.
I am a Ghanaian and,
I have to learn from you as an African;
So, rise up Africa! !
From the North to the South,
Then from the East to the West;
Rise up oh Africans! !
Cos', we are all Africans.

Veronica

Love Yahweh your Father by walking in all His ways,
Like the monkey and the banana!
Love one another around you and the world,
Like the 'pig-feet' exported to Ghana!
But, they are sold in the markets for people to buy and eat.
Life is also like the 'turkey-tails' exported to Ghana,
Sold in the markets for people to buy and eat;
And of the 'stock-fish's heads' exported to Nigeria!
Sold in the markets for people to buy and eat,
But life to us is like a missing child in the forest.
Veronica, your thinking is very opposite to mine;
So how can we live together on this earth?

Eleanor II

301 churches registered in Ghana from 'January to July 2003'!
But read your Scriptures well to learn from it;
For the dance of the monkeywill not impress me who have seen the beautiful dance of the snake! !
But, who is ready to teach the masses?

Wolves in sheep skins,
Of a country of plenty where many are still hungry! !
But, a naked man knows no shame over here.

I am Eleanor and i know what i do see around me!
But to eat my breakfast like a king and my lunch like a prince;
For, i will always aim at my goals and be very active towards them! !
But when the wind blows, these churches will be exposed to their so called doctrines.

Paying attention to both the surface and the facts within,
For the fragrance of the lavender is now mixed up with their deeds! !
And there are churches everywhere today (2012) in Ghana,
But, have they been able to change the morals of the people at large? !
Tell me if you know.
