His Or Her Tongue
Desolation,
Appalled,
Slander;
But the truth of the righteous utters wisdom,
And his or her tongue speaks what is just.

Slander
The word is out -- heads are talkin
And just like a fire ragin wild in the night,
The rumors hot, the room is rockin,
Its out of control, too vicious to fight
Two lovers split -- a heart is shattered
And out of revenge it steals through the night,
Making sure the lies are scattered
To every border of this town tonight
The words on the street, you call it truth,
I call it slander,
Times are tough, talk is cheap --
Soon theyll talk about you --
Slander
The jury splits -- undecided,
Theyre searching for clues,
My live in their hands
The hour has come, they stand divided,
The future shall judge the good and the bad
And now, theres talk on the street --
I call it slander,
I will fight this somehow
Revenge will be sweet
Slander -- like a knife in my heart --
Slander
Slander -- gonna keep us apart --
Slander
Slander c theres talk on the street
Slander -- revenge will be sweet
Slander -- Im ready to fight
Slander -- I will find it tonight
Slander -- like a knife in my heart --
Slander
Slander -- gonna keep us apart
Slander
Slander -- theres talk on the street --
Slander -- revenge will be sweet
Slander -- too vicious to fight
Slander -- wild in the night

The tongue of experience utters the most truth.
Seeking Godly Wisdom
Receive The Word in your heart, and you'll give Wisdom her start,
In your conduct as you live this life, while you follow Jesus Christ,
This, if Wisdom you will treasure, indeed, she'll guide you forever,
Helping us on a path that's right; leading us to walk in God's Light.
With Wisdom's discerning heart, from The Lord you will not depart,
As her discernment comes your way, she will lead you day by day;
Seek out Wisdom as if silver, and through grace you shall find her,
Seeking her as hidden treasure, when found, she'll leave you never.
Through Wisdom one understands, where a Holy Lord God stands,
And exactly what God expects of us, as we follow The Lord Jesus,
By Wisdom, we know to fear The Lord, when His Word is explored,
As like silver is when we mine, we learn of God's Righteous design.
Wisdom, in a world like this, allows us know God's Righteousness,
His Righteous Judgment we can see, by God's Justice and Equity,
Wisdom puts us on a righteous path, leading far from God's wrath,
Saving God's own from evil men, and their ways God will condemn.
Godly Wisdom shall lead all of us, onto a path of God's Goodness,
Preserving us through all these days, while we lift to God the praise,
Who is the source of True Wisdom, leading men to God's Kingdom,
His Kingdom that's forever friend, where God's Wisdom has no end.

Fool
No,
But must go
By the argument
With little amusement
Sad part to resent
Over the comment
But truth remains
There is much to gain
Speak no truth
Hold tongue behind teeth
It is sign of wisdom
Witnessed seldom
One of the strongest sides
Difference is very wide
But fool is wise
Full of wisdom with no promises
He knows
Not to give reason for others to blow
To face the criticism for revelation
And raise many questions
Fool is full of wisdom
Enough scope for freedom
Wise may suffer
Fool has nothing to offer

I would not care whether truth is pleasant or unpleasant, and in consonance with or opposed to current views. I would not mind in the least whether truth is, or is not, a blow to the glory of my country. If necessary, I shall bear in patience the ridicule and slander of friends and society fo the sake of preaching truth. But still I shall seek truth, understand truth, and accept truth. This should be the firm resolve of a historian.

Age of Innocence
We dismiss
The backroads
And ride these streets
Unafraid
Resort to
Scraping pain
From our bones
Unashamed
No more the eye upon you
No more the simple bane
Desolation yes
Hesitation no
Desolation yes
Hesitation no
As you might have guessed
All is never shown
Desolation yes
Hesitation no
And in my prayer
I dream alone
A silent speach
To deaf ears
If you want be love
You must be love
But if bleed love
You will die love
No more the eye upon you
Catch me starving out of shame
Desolation yes
Hesitation no
Desolation yes
Hesitation no
As you might have sensed
We won't make it home
Desolation yes
Hesitation no
But for the rites of spring
Come to mean all things
A little taste of what may come
A meer glimpse of what has gone
Cause for the moment we are free
We to find our release
Too young to die

Tongues
the tongue
of my body
is in the nerves
the tongue
of my soul
in the heart
the tongue of
my mind
in the head
the tongue
of truth and deceits
in the mouth
the tongue of
the World (Creation)
in the words
of God

A person's cleverness is not shown by how many words he utters at once but how he utters them.
Sonnet: The Tongue
Tongue, the muscle belly in the mouth’s floor!
That grandmothers used to narrate folklore;
With sensors to taste the food that we eat,
And speak fluently with neighbors who cheat.
The boneless tongue gives creatures satiety;
In misdemeanor, speaks words so nasty;
The tongue-tied man cannot speak out too well;
The one with a long tongue argues like hell.
The tongue can emit both a soothing word,
And also cut like a double-edged sword;
The tongue helps one to sing a sweet song,
And touch one’s nose-tip whenever too long.
The tongue can start a war or conclude it;
Some stars use it for their kissing habit.

Truth
The truth about a truth is that
The truth can’t be concealed for long;
And when revealed, the truth appears
A bigger truth than what it was.
Truth is beautiful; splendid;
Truth is eternal; everlasting;
Truth is endearing to righteous hearts;
Truth is consoling, comforting;
Truth is perennial; evergreen;
Truth is God.
Truth is a virtue all yearn for;
Truth is global, heavenly;
Truth is uncompromising;
Truth is always encouraging;
Truth is desirable; exhilarating.
Truth is mankind’s ultimate search;
Truth is a great topic of research;
Truth is delighting; enchanting;
Truth is trust-worthy from
Beginning to the end.
No lies can hide a truth for long;
No lies can make a lie, a truth;
All lies will vanish leaving truth exposed,
As bright as ever any time.

The aftermath of the war is what inspired us to write many of our plays. The whole reason for our writing Inherit the Wind was that we were appalled at the blacklisting. We were appalled at thought control.

Confused To The End
The more confusion seen down here, the more it is abundantly clear,
That Truth revealed for us to heed, is the truth men everywhere need,
All God’s Truth written in Ages past, are Truths that will eternally last,
The Truths that many have refused, is that solution for the confused.
Many are confused in many ways, as we slip into much darker days,
And the very Truth that men despise, is what makes any leader wise,
Yet eternal decrees from the Lord, by the nation’s leader go ignored,
And since this Truth, many hate, they are sealing a much darker fate.
Confusion shall continue to rule, as all who ignore God play the fool,
But fools, who say there’s no God, will soon see His Righteous Rod,
As they’ve no excuse to speak of, regarding God, who reigns above,
For denying God and Eternal Truth, will only bring on God’s Reproof.
Some confusion is simply pride, for Godly Wisdom won’t be denied,
If one humbly seeks God’s face, God supplies wisdom in His Grace.
But, many pursue their own plan, an agenda without The Son of Man,
And the end of the man’s confusion, will be met with strong delusion.
Their confusion, lacking so much control, will affect every living soul,
And persuade many leaders to a need, to follow an even darker lead,
A man indwelt with Satan’s power, taking men into their darkest hour,
As confusion would be welcomed friend, as they see their world end.

Just say Yes
Say no to hate and violence.
Say no to greed and selfishness.
Say no to corruption and abuse of power.
Say no to prejudice.
Say no to lies and slander.
Say no to war and slavery.
Say no to homelessness and hunger.
Say no to desperate poverty.
Change the course of history.
JUST SAY NO.
Say yes to truth and justice.
Say yes to dignity and grace.
Say yes to sharing and compassion.
Say yes to peace.
Say yes to mercy and forgiveness.
Say yes to wisdom and integrity.
Say yes to strength and hope eternal.
Say yes to racial harmony.
Celebrate humanity.
JUST SAY YES.

The Truth It Can Be Hurtful
I may not like what you say of me but if of me you speak the truth
Though the truth it can be hurtful if it is not spoken without ruth
The truth cannot defame me if of me the truth you say
And if the truth taints my character well that too is okay.
But if you tell lies about someone and know them to be lies
Then the dislike I'd feel for one like you i barely could disguise
For lies can be defamatory when used in such a way
Any respect to a malicious liar i would find hard to pay.
The truth it can be hurtful as we all ought to know
But out of the truth it can be said respect for one does grow
And though you may not like what's said about you at least what's said is true
And to the one who speaks the truth credit is always due.
The truth it can be hurtful but the truth is never wrong
And those who cannot accept the truth mentally cannot grow strong
And though for some the truth is poison they'd rather live a lie
The truth lives on forever and the truth will never die.

The ironist is not bitter, he does not seek to undercut everything that seems worthy or serious, he scorns the cheap scoring-off of the wisecracker. He stands, so to speak, somewhat at one side, observes and speaks with a moderation which is occasionally embellished with a flash of controlled exaggeration. He speaks from a certain depth, and thus he is not of the same nature as the wit, who so often speaks from the tongue and no deeper. The wit's desire is to be funny; the ironist is only funny as a secondary achievement.

Balaam's Wish
How blest the righteous are
When they resign their breath!
No wonder Balaam wished to share
In such a happy death.
Oh! let me die, said he,
The death the righteous do;
When life is ended let me be
Found with the faithful few.
The force of truth how great!
When enemies confess,
None but the righteous whom they hate,
A solid hope possess.
But Balaam's wish was vain,
His heart was insincere;
He thirsted for unrighteous gain,
And sought a portion here.
He seemed the Lord to know,
And to offend him loth;
But Mammon proved his overthrow,
For none can serve them both.
May you, my friends, and I,
Warning from hence receive;
If like the righteous we would die,
To choose the life they live.
