Fraser
Shave his hair and trim his nails,
For i am in the winter garden in search of my lover;
And Fraser came in to guide me on.

Up the Garden Path - 0877 - Acrostic
Up the garden path she led him,
Private joke she told herself,
To sacrifice his precious self
He, half blind went to the brim,
Enjoyed close shave, then cut it trim.
Garden path walks wily woman's whim!

Ode to Baldness
Heads that shine are “oh so fine”
And mostly trouble free
No hair to fly when wind is high
They’re always slick and neat
No hairspray or Brylcreem to buy
No brushes or pocket combs
And many ladies, I’ve heard it said,
Are fond of the old chrome dome
That must be why so many these days
Full heads of hair will shave
But, you can’t shave hair that isn’t there
I got mine the natural way
Now, you men of poetic métier
Whose hair has taken leave
Just write a verse if you’d care to link
With the bald headed poets’ league

Va Va Voom
Some men have shaven their heads full of hair.
To keep some thinking it's a style to shave them.
But thinning hair attracts some folks to stare.
And vanity is mainly known for women,
Who groom!
With nails they manicure and shoes that shine.
Colognes expensive are picked for the scents sent!
High maintenance is now the bottom line,
For men groomed.
To be swooned.
Some men have shaven their heads full of hair.
Va va voom.
To keep some thinking it's a style to shave them.
But thinning hair attracts some folks to stare.
Va va voom.
And vanity is mainly known for women,
Who groom!
With intent to be swooned.
Ooooohhh...
Va va voom.
Groom to swoon.
Both...
Groom to swoon.
Va va voom.
Groom to swoon.
Both...
Groom to swoon.
Some men have shaven their heads full of hair.
To keep some thinking it's a style to shave them.
But thinning hair attracts some folks to stare.
And vanity is mainly known for women,
Who groom!
Although there are high maintenanced men there too...
Seeking to be swooned!
Oh? Oh? Oh? Ooooohhh...
Va va voom.
Groom to swoon.
Both...
Groom to swoon.
Va va voom.
Groom to swoon.
Both...
Groom to swoon.
Va va voom.
Groom to swoon.
Both...
Groom to swoon.
Va va voom.
Groom to swoon.
Both...
Groom to swoon.
Va va voom!

Garden Of Roses
My garden of roses is dead
All the most beautiful flowers have wilted
And now the winter is here
My garden of roses is dead
Like my love and my nurturing was nothing
And now the winter is here
My garden of roses is dead
Nothing but dust in the wind is left
And now the winter is here
My garden of roses is dead
Everything's gone and I feel so empty
And now the winter is here

The Mess Of A Man
Meet a man,
A man named Harry,
He's in need of a shave,
And it's quite scary,
He's got hair on his chest,
Hair on his back,
Hair on his ass,
And hair in his crack,
He leaves hair on the soap,
Hair on the floor,
Hair every place,
Including the store,
Harry, dear Harry,
Do something, please,
Your hair retains odor,
And you reek of cheese!
Look at your cat,
What will you do?
Your cat's hairballs,
They're the hairs from you!
No hope, it seems,
For your hairiness,
It'll just regrow,
So live in your mess.

Lover Lover Lover
I asked my father,
I said, father change my name.
The one Im using now its covered up
With fear and filth and cowardice and shame.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.
He said, I locked you in this body,
I meant it as a kind of trial.
You can use it for a weapon,
Or to make some woman smile.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.
Then let me start again, I cried,
Please let me start again,
I want a face thats fair this time,
I want a spirit that is calm.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.
I never never turned aside, he said,
I never walked away.
It was you who built the temple,
It was you who covered up my face.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.
And may the spirit of this song,
May it rise up pure and free.
May it be a shield for you,
A shield against the enemy.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.

Basically, they had asked me if I would shave my head or wear a bald cap. I said look, if you are doing a series for five years I would want to shave my hair because I would go bald with all the gum and glue from the bald cap.

Marrat
Oh Yahweh, change this tide of sorrow and give me the tide of joy;
For i have got Marrat as my lover to lead me on.
Show me the prompt response on this love and,
Guide me on to my lovers heart;
And like Russia's Winter Road,
I need a safe mind on this love to lead me on always.
Of the frozen sea that gives way for the Highway,
For this Winter Road for cars is like my lover;
And Marrat is there to lead me on.

Winter Lady
Winter lady, where you going
With your hair all soft and loose like snowin?
Winter girl, december child, dont run away.
Winter lady, walking sadly, does your lover
Treat you badly? do you dream or wish on stars
To hear him say, oh, winter lady,
I wont hurt you, I wont cheat you,
I wont desert you, winter lady. you need lovin,
I need lovin, too. I need lovin you.
Staring out your winter window
At a silver sky you know youve been to
In a kiss upon a day before a spring.
Winter lady, cry those crystal tears.
He wont know what hes missed
Till loves too late; youve changed your mind,
And its my turn to sing, oh,
Winter lady, I wont hurt you, I wont cheat you,
I wont desert you, winter lady. you need lovin,
I need lovin, too. I need lovin you

When you feel lonely
There goes my excellent lover,
In her room or in her garden of roses,
In your house or in your yard,
But when you feel lonely,
Just pick up the phone and call me
You take away the sorrows,
Reading novels or my poems,
Seating alone or with your friends,
Thinking present or the future,
Babe when you feel lonely,
Tell me i will come
There you are my queen,
Vanishing your face or otherwise,
Treating your hair and nails,
I ponder with amusement,
But when you feel lonely,
Pick up the phone and call me
Watching the rain fall,
Feeling the sun heating,
Or hearing the wind blowing,
But when you feel lonely,
Tell me and i will come

Divine
Excuse me my son
But do you believe
That you are without divine company
Come with me now
I'll show you the way, now join today
I have no appetite for your control
Please go away and just leave me alone
I'll search on my own
I don't need a guide for my soul
So when you feel lost
Or losing your hope
Reconsider this antidote
Hold on to me
I'll show you the way, now join today
I have no appetite for your control
Please go away and just leave me alone
I'll search on my own
I don't need a guide for my soul
Let me choose the path to take
Cause it's my own choice to make
And I'll challenge this to you
What if I told you
You were programmed to obey
And what if I told you
I didn't need you and your flock
Cause I'll find my own way
I have no appetite for your control
Please go away
And just leave me alone
I'll search on my own
I don't need a guide for my soul

Three Lowly Nails
Three lowly nails,
Changed the world for you and me
Three lowly nails,
Were used to attach Jesus to a tree
Three lowly nails,
In each hand and through His feet
Three lowly nails,
Set His people free
Three lowly nails,
Gave us a King for eternity

Skin Hair…
Skin Hair…
Where else does the earth rise?
settle down with a fall,
cover with strand...
after other strand,
of hair curl,
loom adversely,
along the length,
along the breadth....
of a man, woman
where it is delicate, where it is private...
pronounced an' concealed.
on the face above the eyes,
like a brush of feathers,
above the lip,
a moustache…
eloquently trim,
tweezed eye browses,
hair flock grace the neck,
onto the back.
Along the shin,
Along the skin,
Smooth touch rendered,
Chill rising the hair follicles,
Desire burn,
In the shower wet with soap,
Silk fiber strand,
Run through fingers of a lover,
Relishing the sensations erect,
Tiny hair, almost as fur…
Souring along the back,
Trough upon the skin,
Collect scent of a love scene.
The skin here dark,
Chocolate born,
Wind caress these, both hair an' skin
Creature so supreme,
Conquer all but this, delicate
Feather brush of skin against skin,
Hair rise here thin,
Space of a love gaze seen,
Hair on skin….

I Am Free, I Tell You So...
your hair is in disarray
nails are dirty
and just like your feelings
all those little things
that hang on your body
are in chaos,
i look at you and you stare at me
and i look back and you laugh
triumphant perhaps in what you are finally
from an ordered past to a
present pandemonium you come to me and
shout at me that you are free,
i wonder, is freedom actually chaos?
i am free too,
i have worked my freedom and earned it
i comb my hair
i trim my fingernails
i wash my body
i filter my thoughts
i put things in their
proper order
i exercise propriety
i choose my words,
i plan my day
i only buy what i need for the day
i write my diary
i decide what book to read
i weigh things
i throw away what destroys me
i don't put myself to danger
i protect myself
i defend what is right
i speak the truth
and i will tell you too,
' i am free! '

If you run an Internet search on Vietnam and the war, most of the information you get begins at about 1962. I think this is telling. It is missing the whole period that led up to the reasons the war happened in the first place.

Amoako
If you kill a snake, try to cut off its head;
For many are they which will wake up to bit you again.
Amoako is your name and,
You need a muttonfish to guide your lover;
But like a visit to the Island of Guernsey,
Try to cut off the head of the snake whenever you kill it.
Amoako is your name and,
Your love is served raw and sliced at times;
But try to live with your lover like,
An indigenous Maori of New Zealand.
Life is like that at times and we all need a guide,
But who the cap fits must surely wear it;
So try to do your best for your lover at all times.
