A Prophet

Remember the Sabbath Day and keep it Holy,
Are veils and Modest clothing Evil?
Whether you will listen or not,
You will know that there was a prophet among you.

The Holy Sabbath Day

God created the things He thought
Over the six days of the week,
And being pleased with His own work,
The Sabbath Day of rest, He sought!

God made the Sabbath Day for man
So that his body, heart and mind,
From week-days’ drudgery, rest find,
And thereby increase his life’s span!

God made the Sabbath Day holy
So that man could be nearer God,
And keep his soul afilled with grace,
And keep the heaven’s road always!

The Sabbath Day is crucial
For man to keep off diseases
Those afflict him these modern days,
And add more years to life on earth.

The Sabbath is the answer to
The affluent illnesses that
Affect most men including stress,
Avoiding all things of excess!

Man, keep the Sabbath Day holy;
Give rest to body, mind and heart;
Cleanse soul from sins by divine art,
And do your duty for your part.

On this day, think of God much more,
And thank Him for His blessings shown;
Pray fervently from your heart’s core,
And keep off evils known, unknown!

For, holy, holy is the Lord
Of heavens, earth – the most high God;
Whatever He says may look odd;
All will be fine, heeding His Word!

Holy Is The Lord

Holy is your name, in all the earth I worship you
Holy is your name, in all the earth I come to you
Holy is your name, in all the earth I sing to you
Holy, Holy, Holy is your name

Holy are you Lord, I come before your throne and bow
Holy are you Lord, I come into your presence now
Holy are you Lord I listen to the angels sing
Holy, Holy, Holy are you Lord

Holy are you Lord, my heart it leaps within my chest
Holy are you Lord, Its in your arms I find my rest
Holy are you Lord, the saints around the world they sing
Holy, Holy, Holy are you Lord

Now listen to the saints, they sing Holy are you Lord
Now listen to them cry to you, Holy are you Lord
There is a cry around the world, they lift their voice and sing
Holy, Holy, Holy are you Lord

I come before your throne to sing, Holy is your name
I come before your throne to sing, I'll never be the same
Pour our out your fire of love on me, this is what I sing
Holy, Holy, to the risen King

Dangerous Veils

Desert candle in a tented space
Throwing softer shadows on a covered face.
Sister, silent to the likes of me --
Pay my respects to her propriety.
Is this some crazy woman here,
Dancing behind her thin black veil?
Am I misreading those mysterious eyes?
Duet impossible to harmonize.
Im not inviting any stiff reaction.
Im not one for naming holy names.
And I wont peek behind those dangerous veils.
Though you might hate me just the same.
Name of the father ringing in her head --
Thinking over what the prophet said.
Words and tradition bind her in their spell.
Dont drink the water from this holy well.
Im not inviting any fierce reaction
And Im not one for naming holy names.
I wont peek behind those dangerous veils.
Though you might hate me just the same.
Desert candle in a tented space
Softer shadows on a covered face.
Sister, silent to the likes of me --
I tip my hat to her propriety.
Im not inviting any fierce reaction
And Im not one for naming holy names.
I wont peek behind those dangerous veils.
Though you might hate me just the same.

Holy Holy

Listen lady, let me lie low, lie low with you
To be lie-high-high-high-high-high, my! oh my!
Slowly, we get too good and too holy
Helping one another, just a righteous brother
Night time, get me back in the night time
I dont want to be angel, just a little bit evil
I feel the devil in me
Holy, holy
Hold on to anyone, hold on to anyone
But just let me be
Holy, holy
Hold on to anyone, hold on to anyone
Let go of me
Listen lady, let me lie low, lie low with you
To be a lie-high-high-high-high-high, my! oh my!
Holy, holy
Hold on to anyone, hold on to anyone
But just let me be
Holy, holy
Hold on to anyone, hold on to anyone
Let go of me

The Boy Out Of Church

As Jesus and his followers
Upon a Sabbath morn
Were walking by a wheat field
They plucked the ears of corn.

They plucked it, they rubbed it,
They blew the husks away,
Which grieved the pious pharisees
Upon the Sabbath day.

And Jesus said, 'A riddle
Answer if you can,
Was man made for the Sabbath
Or Sabbath made for man?'

I do not love the Sabbath,
The soapsuds and the starch,
The troops of solemn people
Who to Salvation march.

I take my book, I take my stick
On the Sabbath day,
In woody nooks and valleys
I hide myself away.

To ponder there in quiet
God's Universal Plan,
Resolved that church and Sabbath
Were never made for man.

Sabbath Queen

The sun has already disappeared beyond the treetops,
Come let us go and welcome the Sabbath Queen,
She is already descending among us, holy and blessed,
And with her are angels, a host of peace and rest,
Come, O Queen,
Come, O Queen,
Peace be unto you, O Angels of Peace.'

We have welcomed the Shabbat with song and prayer,
Let us return home our hearts full of joy.
There, the table is set, the lights are lit,
Every corner of the house is shining with a divine spark.
A good and blessed Shabbat.
A good and blessed Shabbat.
Come in peace, O Angels of Peace.

Sit among us, O pure Shabbat Queen, and enlighten us with your splendor.
Tonight and tomorrow–then you may pass on.
And we for our part will honor you by wearing beautiful clothing,
By singing zemirot, by praying, and by eating three meals.
And with complete rest.
And with pleasant rest.
Bless me with peace, O Angels of Peace.

The sun has already disappeared beyond the treetops.
Come let us accompany the Sabbath Queen’s departure.
Go in peace, holy and blessed.
Know that for six day we will await your return.
Yes, till next Shabbat.
Yes, till next Shabbat.
Go in peace, O Angels of Peace.

Sonnet: Keep The Sabbath-day Holy

'Remember Man, to keep Sabbath holy',
The Third commandment of God clearly says;
And if you can't, 'twill be your own folly;
Your life gets spent wholly in worldly ways.

Oh, what a pleasure hearing Sunday Mass,
And taking part in God's great sacrifice!
God made the six days, for man's sake; Alas!
The Sabbath day is God's just asking price!

What guilty feelings fill my heart when I,
Don't go for Sunday's Liturgical rites?
A good habit for soul's sake should not die;
God's candle in our heart, it serves to light.

Can I not spend just one day for God's sake?
'Tis worth the swim in Elysium- God's Lake!

Bible in Poetry: Gospel of St. Matthew (Chapter 12)

It was the Sabbath day, when Jesus walked,
Through a field of grain with His disciples,
Who being hungry, picked some heads of grain,
And ate them while the Pharisees had watched.

They then remarked to Jesus about them.
On Sabbath day, his disciples had done
An act, unlawful, according to them.

Then Jesus asked them, ‘Haven’t you read
How David and his friends had fed,
When hungry they became one day,
And ate the offered bread that lay,
Inside the House of God which he
Ought not to eat but ones priestly! ’

‘Have you not read the Sabbath Law?
That priests that serve in temples are
Violating, though innocent? ’

‘There’s something more than temple here.
If you had known what was meant by
‘Not sacrifice, I desire mercy,
You would not condemn such things done.
The Son of Man’s, Lord of Sabbath! ’

Then, Jesus went into the synagogue.
There was a man with withered hand;
Is it right curing on Sabbath?
They asked to accuse Him therefore.

Then Jesus asked, ‘If your sheep fell
On Sabbath day, into a pit,
Would you not lift it out at once? ’
‘Is not man’s life more valuable?
’Tis lawful doing good on Sabbath day.’

He told the man, ‘Stretch out your hand.’
The man did so and was restored.
The Pharisees then decided
To wait and then, put Him to death.

As Jesus knew their evil plan,
He left that place to another.
And many followed Him with faith
And Jesus cured their illnesses.
He warned them not to publicize.

This was to fulfill what was said
By prophet Isaiah before:
‘Behold my servant I’ve chosen
My beloved, in whom I delight
I’ll place my Spirit upon Him;
He’ll bestow justice to Gentiles.’

‘He’ll not contend or cry out and
His voice will not echo in streets;
A bruised reed, He will not break;
A burning wick, He’ll not put out,
Until He turns victorious,
And in His name, Gentiles will hope.’

They brought to Him, a demoniac,
Who was blind too and also mute.
He cured the person immediately;
He started speaking and could see.
The crowd was astounded and asked,
‘Could this be perhaps, David’s Son? ’

But Pharisees remarked, ‘This man
Drives out the demons by the pow’r
Of Beelzebul, prince of demons! ’

As Jesus knew what they had thought,
He said to them, ‘A kingdom that’s
Divided will be laid to waste;
A house divided cannot stand;
If Satan can drive out one more,
How can his kingdom ever stand?
And if I drive the demons out
Through Beelzebul, by whom do you?
I drive out demons with God’s help,
The Holy Spirit assists me!
God’s kingdom shall be upon you.’

‘How can one steal a strong man’s house unless,
He ties the man up before he plunders?
Whoev’r is not with me is against me;
Whoev’r that does not gather, then scatters.
Every sin will be forgiven people,
But sin against the spirit will not be.
Whoever speaks against the Son of Man
Will also be forgiven without fuss;
Who speaks against the Holy Spirit won’t
Be forgiven now or in age to come.’

‘The tree is known by fruits, it shall put forth;
Either the tree is good and so is fruit
Or rotten tree producing just bad fruits.’

‘You brood of vipers, how can you talk good
Things when your heart is filled with evil-hood?
For, speaks the mouth from fullness of the heart.’

‘The good from good person comes from like store.
An evil person delivers evil;
On Judgment Day, each one renders account
For every careless word, he spoke in life;
By your words, you’ll be acquitted, condemned.’

Some of the scribes and Pharisees then said,
‘Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you.’
Then Jesus told, ‘A sign, an unfaithful
And evil generation seeks but then,
They will be given none except the one:
The sign of Jonah, prophet that all know;
Just as how Jonah stayed in fish’s belly,
For three days and three nights, so will the Son
Of man, be inside the heart of the earth.’

‘On Judgment day, Nineveh’s men will rise,
Because they heard Jonah and repented;
The queen of south will likewise then arise,
Because she heard King Solomon’s wisdom.’

‘When unclean spirit leaves a person, then
It roams through regions but cannot find rest,
And so returns to home that it had left;
It finds it empty, clean and in order;
It goes to bring back seven worse spirits,
And thus the person’s condition worsens;
Thus will this evil generation be.’

While speaking thus, his mother, brothers came,
And wished to speak to Him most urgently;
But Jesus asked, ‘Who’s my mother, brothers? ’

‘He showed His hand at His own disciples
And said, ‘Here are my brothers and mother!
Whoever does the will of my Father,
Is my mother, my sister and brother! ’

Evil, I call you! !

Evil
Don't listen to a word they say
Will let you be alone at times,
Needed most.

That evil eyes looks at you,
and lies
All the hateful things you said
and what you've put me through.

Evil
In the heart of people
Evil
Wont care if you die

Evil
Is all that I can perceive in you
So is your dark side,
Your evil.

Evil is you.

Here I Come-4

Holy holy is He
So merciful
Lion and King
Wonderful Counselor
Holy holy
Holy holy is He
Holy holy is He
Forever holy.

Most High God
Holy holy
Prince of Peace
Mighty Redeemer
King of Kings
Most High God
Holy holy

Take my sins
As far as the east
Is from the west
Purge me
With your precious blood
Shelter me
From the storms
Cover me
With your glory
Holy holy
Holy holy is He
Holy holy is He
Forever holy.

You are so holy
You went to the cross
For me
So holy
You bled for me
So holy
You paid a price
I could not pay
Holy holy

Why Do We Despise Another

Hate is evil
Hate tries to consume you, wait, stop! Fight back
Don't let it take over your mind

Evil spreads itself all over the world grabbing weak souls
Yeah, sometimes I get angry, but I must remember
I can't let it get me
I must be strong
I fight evil with the merciless God giving me the strength
Not to fall in the fate of evil

When you’re angry, you're not yourself, but something else
Evil causes you to do the unthinkable, but
The ones that are still holy must stay holy until the end
Hold on, don't let go!

We will soon have revenge
Just hold on a little more

Yeah, of course I hate when people talk about me
I hate when people bully others for being different
I hate when people steal from me
I hate when people pretend to be my friend, but use me
I hate when people take the lives of others
I hate to be around people because they have betray me
But in the end
Anger is my worst enemy
So I hum to God in my mind to enter my heart and save my soul
I don't want to let evil fill my heart to where I no longer care
I want to be saved
Thank you God, you have saved me

Hajj

Hajj is compulsory for the Muslims
Who are able to perform it
From every point of view

During Hajj the pilgrims
Wear a white piece of cloth
Which resembles the cloth
Of the Muslim’s corpse
To remind them
One day they will die and face God
It also reminds them
All are equal in the eyes of God
God will see only our works
And the prayers of others for us
On the Day of Judgment

The circling around the holy Kaba
Reminds us of the angels
Who circle around the throne of God

When we say, I am present O God
I am present and so on
God’s body looks at us and listens

When we perform Salat
During Hajj
God becomes more than happy
Because so many people together
Surrender to God at one point of time
In the most holy land of earth

When we run to and fro
On the Safa and Marowa hills
It reminds us of the sorrowful sight
Of mother Hazera
The wife of prophet Abraham

When we throw stones at Satan
It reminds us of the patience
And dependence on God
Of prophet Abraham
And prophet Ismile

At last when we reach
The holy field of Arafat
It reminds us of the joy
Of prophet Adam and Eve
When they fell down on earth
From paradise
And met each other
After a long long time

5. Fashion

I remember in the sixties funky clothes were all the rage
We wore our wide bell-bottoms with such pride
I remember beige/brown herringbone an itchy woollen cloth
Caused rashes on our legs we tried to hide

I remember soaking water up a gallon to each leg
As the bags took on a shower full of rain
I remember just how long they were dragging on the ground
Fraying edges showing signs of wear again

I remember one particular pair a kind of mustard yellow
The legs of which kept catching in the car
I remember as I closed the door a leg end dangling out
Collecting oil from hinges with some tar

I remember trying to free myself once trapped within the door
Like a prisoner in the clothing that I wore
I remember pulling really hard until the trousers tore
When the stitching couldn’t take it any more

I remember my elation as the clothing fashion changed
Back to good old baggy jumpers and black jean
I remember how we have a laugh at things from years ago
And all those stupid fashions we have seen

The Seventh Day

Forget not the day of the Sabbath,
Its mention is like a pleasant offering.
During it the dove found resting place,
And there the weary may relax.
The day is honored by the Children of Faith,
Careful to observe it are fathers and sons.
Engraved upon two tablets of stone,
From great power and mighty strength.
And they all came in Covenant together,
In unison they said, "We shall do and we shall listen."
And they commenced and answered, "God is One,"
Blessed is He that gives strength to the weary.
He spoke in His holiness by the mountain of Mohr spice
"Remember and guard the seventh day."
And all of his commandments to be completed together
Strengthen the loins and gather up power.
The nation that is in motion, like lost sheep,
By covenant He will remember to recall it,
So that an evil happening may not befall them,
Just as You have sworn by the waters of Noah.

Sonnet- O Listen To...

O listen to the songs, so sweet of Birds;
0 listen to the sea-waves hitting shore;
0 listen to the noise of trampling herds;
0 listen to the breeze that slams the door.

0 listen to the animals all wild;
0 listen to the Wind that howls and screams;
0 listen to the cries of orphaned child;
0 listen to the shrieks of ghosts in dreams.

0 listen to the beggar asking alms;
0 listen to the noises made by Science;
0 listen to the children clapping palms;
0 listen to God-given Conscience.
0 listen within you and hear God's call;
The Holy Spirit dwells in good souls- all.

Oh prophet!

Oh prophet! Oh prophet! get up and flee
The dormant city
Is vicious, merciless without joviality or glee

Oh prophet! Oh prophet get up and run
The dreadful city before the rising sun
The gentle night welcomes with cover and calm

Oh prophet! oh prophet get up and haste your retreat
The night city drums thunder and beat
A place so foul, no man is liberated or free in solitary streets

Oh prophet! oh prophet get up and hide
This city is filled with bigotry and shameful pride
The night is pure with divinity and delight

Oh Prophet! oh Prophet wake up and rise
Large treasure rapture city eyes
Their sins are blotted in shape and size

Oh prophet! oh prophet take a warning heed
Tomorrow God's wrath will over the city take lead
And with fury and fire burns her towers and her peaks

About To Be Born

Being cooked,
Being eaten,
And, being washed away! !
But, just remember the Seventh Day Sabbath and keep it holy.

This is it! !
And this is about the muse of your love;
For the nuclear war is about to begin!

Being preached,
Being read,
Being taught,
But the explosion of our sins had impregnated the earth! !
And, the nuclear baby is about to be born.
