A Carved Ivory
Walking naked and barefooted,
Moab will wail for Moab;
Naked and barefooted,
Gladness is taken away along with joy.
A Carved Ivory,
Fair as the moon with my mind on you;
To the heights of the mountains,
Bright as the sun with my mind on you;
To the bed of spices,
Love is like the fragrance of Lebanon!
To a Carved Ivory,
Our legs at war;
To a Carved Ivory,
Our toes for battle;
To a Carved Ivory,
Our bones so scattered;
Love is sweeter than wine.
prayers like incense,
Gladness is taken away along with joy;
Life is like a harp with ten strings where,
Wisdom is better than strength.

Barefooted
I am walking barefooted and naked because,
I have my mind on you;
I am walking barefooted and naked because,
I have my love for you;
But Moab will wail fro Moab.
You are the one that i love and,
Naked and barefooted i do go about daily for you;
But gladness and joy will be taken away very soon from Moab.
Like a carved ivory, you are as fair as the moon;
Like the highlights of the mountains,
You are easily reached up in love than others;
So we need no war around us.
Life is as bright as the sun on the sweet bed of spices,
And true love is like the fragrance of Lebanon;
But like a carved ivory on your love,
This love is sweeter than wine!
A carved ivory,
Of our legs of love and the peace that it brings;
And like the harp of ten strings,
I am like the native green tree of love to your heart.

This Precious Stone
Childless!
And many are lost in the wind;
But in the matter of my innovcence,
They took the exits without delay!
And i am now at the entrance of my lover.
All men and women are merely players,
But as you do love something so will you like it as well;
For all the aspects of life in the world are like a stage!
As you may like to use it so you may like to eat it as well,
And like the school boys who were late today;
For they've impregnated their female mates.
What makes you very grief on this matter?
And to quench your fiery indignation;
But let no such a man be fooled and,
Let no such a woman be trusted as well;
For the wolrd is like a stage to all of us and,
The royal throne of love is always around us!
But many are still childless.
Boat, coat, moat, goat;
The precious stone is set in the middle of the sea,
But under the canopies of love and with the sound of the wave;
For the power of your romance is lulled with the sweetest melody.
Forgetfulness is part of mankind but your city of love is like,
The doors, therooms and the gates of your passion;
For the flint of knives are here to cut out an image from your ivory.
Naked and barefooted,
True love is sweeter than wine;
But i am like the carved image from the ivory in your hand,
And like the precious stone set in the middle of the sea.

Ivory
You were born with a face that would let you get your way
Yeah you had everything you wanted child, that is until the day
you know you're much too fine and free, Ivory
You've been dressed in a vest, every minute of your day
You walk into a room, stand in a lit shade
Is your timer too high for me, Ivory
Ivory
How does it feel to be so high
Ivory
How long how long will it take for you to cry
Ivory
I'm in need
Ivory
Ivory
I'll touch your soul, might even touch your brain
I know you can't see me
I know your blind
Come back come back and see
Ivory
So good to me

Room 10
Scarcely!
Have you seen whom i love? !
For she's now taken to Room 10 and,
I don't know what is wrong with her.
Scared!
Have you seen whom i love? !
For she's now taken to Room 10 and,
I don't know what is wrong with her;
But the Doctors need to tell me of her condition.
Guidelines,
Location,
Additional,
Guidance;
But paved with love to respect her muse,
And like a carved ivory in Room 10.

Elephant's Graveyard III
Sanctified by elephants since time began-
elephants who accept their end uncomplainingly
with relief and nary a snivel
having long ago made it a point to live their lives well
and confident of this just repose.
'Oh, my God, ' you think, 'all the ivory.'
Ivory laying about, half-sunk, everywhere
strewn, grass-entangled, trip-you-up ivory,
because that's what's left of an elephant, after a bit-
after a century or so, that's quite all that's left,
a tusk of ivory bearing in this respect
a sharp resemblance to a man's poetic toil
or the opera-ticket stub found in his breast pocket
by his grand-child, rummaging in the attic
a century after the time when the music stopped
and stopped forever, never to again resume;
toppled stalagmites of ivory, some taller than a man,
cracked by the sun, washed by the rain, buffed by the moon.
Surely, someone would buy all that ivory for market
dice to make, dominoes, piano keys, dentures;
But how to get it home-would Swiss-Air take it?
stowed in sheaths...

Food For Thought
Ivory madonna dying in the dust,
Waiting for the manna coming from the west.
Barren is her bosom, empty as her eyes,
Death a certain harvest scattered from the skies.
Skin and bones is creeping, does'nt know he's dead.
Ancient eyes are peeping, from his infant head.
Politician's argue sharpening their knives.
Drawing up their bargains, trading baby lives.
(chorus)
Ivory madonna dying in the dust,
Waiting for the manna coming from the west.
Hear the bells are ringing, christmas on it's way.
Hear the angels singing, what is that they say?
Eat and drink rejoicing, joy is here to stay.
Jesus son of mary is born again today.
(chorus)
Ivory madonna dying in the dust,
Waiting for the manna coming from the west.
Ivory madonna dying in the dust,
Waiting for the manna coming from the west.

Canephor with a basket
Your voice is a
Canephor with a basket for songs
Coming towards me like a blue dream.
Delicate but strong,
My silence beats your ears,
Leaving a trace of love
Like a fog carved in the air
Or unlike a name carved in an oak tree.
My silence and your voice
Weave new vibrations.
It's like an embrace.
Whatever I'm touch'd from,
It clutches my mind.

The Quartet
Those who hates me hates also my people,
THose who loves me loves also my people,
For i am a teacher along the path of truth.
A house of prayer and hope,
A house of love and care,
A house of peace and kindness,
Like a beautiful carved ivory pomegranate;
But the practic of bowing before someone is a sign of honour.
Satan attacks us under peer presure,
But why should i wallow in the blood of my wounds?
The very next scenario from the Quartet;
And there is a Father in Heaven who reveals secrets.

O, Little David, Play on Your Harp
O, Little David, play on your harp,
That ivory harp with the golden strings
And sing as you did in Jewry Land,
Of the Prince of Peace and the God of Love
And the coming Christ Immanuel.
O, Little David, play on your harp.
A seething world is gone stark mad;
And is drunk with the blood,
Gorged with the flesh,
Blinded with the ashes
Of her millions of dead.
From out it all and over all
There stands, years old and fully grown,
A monster in the guise of man.
He is of war and not of war;
Born in peace,
Nurtured in arrogant pride and greed,
World-creature is he and native to no land.
And war itself is merciful
When measured by his deeds.
Beneath the Crescent
Lie a people maimed;
Their only sin--
That they worship God.
On Russia's steppes
Is a race in tears;
Their one offense--
That they would be themselves.
On Flander's plains
Is a nation raped;
A bleeding gift
Of "Kultur's" conquering creed.
And in every land
Are black folk scourged;
Their only crime--
That they dare be men.
O, Little David, play on your harp,
That ivory harp with the golden strings
And psalm anew your songs of Peace,
Of the soothing calm of a Brotherly Love,
And the saving grace of a Mighty God.
O, Little David, play on your harp.

Oh That Tree
Maybe if you would have seen
Our initals carved in the tree,
You might have fallen in love with me
When we were so very young
For I wanted the world to know
How I felt about you
Now after thirty years,
i went back to that tree
To see if I could still see
If those words could be seen.
Looking there to my surpise,
Two words carved right next to mine
I KNOW!

Sin.....
I've seen greatness
i love it,
i feel the wings
of the eagles of
this land
i, decrepit and
aging
lowly
creature of the
cold and slum
marvel on the
sharp claws of the great minds
ahead of me
I've seen them live
on the ivory towers
of their heads
i come late
and people ask the reason
why i seem
to rejoice
on that predicament
i bring no explanation
i have no flowers in my hands
i believe in myself
and though i worship great minds
i do not
imitate them
their passions and fame
are all theirs
they deserve a name carved
on marbles
and stones
on bold letters of gold
and embellished with
chunks of
polished diamonds
i repeat
i do not imitate them
i am like no other
i am original
like sin.

Somewhere Inside Of You!
Every life, shall meet death.
Every breath crosses that bridge
Every autumn leaf falls bereft.
See all in its burning leafage.
Oh diamond sparks burn inside
…Blue, with rage, behind iron-bars.
Oh there's a heart of a flower
And, somewhere inside of you!
Inside of you, child there's a Houdini…
Honeycombed with green-envying eyes
Somewhere inside of you, child, there's
A queen, that, that, that, never dies…
Oh, look, child how she just swans…
Seductively easy across the skies
Ah, seduction… in ivory,
Seduction… in ivory,
Seduction… in ivory blossom
Into a million crimson dyes,
But—no she'll never, ever, ever, die.
Nor be cast down into that dead leafage.
Ghostly; she's like some spiders webbing,
Webbed; across deaths ebony warring face.
Every life is like a stillborn, thought!
Just waiting, wondering, and rippling out of breath.
Inside of you, child there's a Houdini…
Honeycombed with green envying eyes
Somewhere inside of you, child, there's
A queen, that, that, that, never dies…
Oh, look child she just swans…
Seductively, easy across the skies
Ah, seductively into ivory,
Seduction… into ivory,
Seduction… in ivory blossom
Oh, into a million crimson dyes,
But—no she'll never, ever, ever, die.
Nor be cast down into that dead leafage.

The Allegories Of That Early Morning
one can
after a
time see
the dichotomy
of the body
& mind
the mind
has its own
territory
it grows its
own garden
plants its
own towers
of ivory
the body
constructs
its rivers
destroys the
fences
and demolishes
walls
in the mirror
you see a
face
and you are
carried
with so much
sympathy
the carriage
with a black horse
begins
to take the body
the mind is the
white horse
galloping in
a different
direction
the peace of your
world
depends on the
power of your hands
to whip and
caress
meanwhile the flowers
in your garden
bloom and wilt
the tower of ivory
begins to
shoot its light
against that
vast dark landscape

In Memoriam: Four Poets
1
Searock his tower above the sea,
Searock he built, not ivory.
Searock as well his haunted art
Who gave to plunging hawks his hearts.
2
He loved to stand upon his head
To demonstrate he was not dead.
Ah, if his poems misbehave
'Tis only to defy the grave.
3
This exquisite patrician bird
Grooming a neatly folded wing
Guarded for years the Sacred Word.
A while he sang then ceased to sing.
4
His head carved out of granite O,
His hair a wayward drift of snow,
He worshipped the great God of Flow
By holding on and letting go.

Upside Down
you carved the runes into my bones and signed them up for me
i still don't know what's on your list and what's prepared for me
you killed the fairies in my dreams, you poured their blood on me
if i only knew your plans, i'd drink it happily
i hate to be in love with you but put the blame on me
you're innocent just like a gun, you love me dangerously
your body seems to be unreal, your touch is like the sea
and when i gaze upon your smile the devil grins at me
but if i lost your gleaming look i'd lose the light in me
as long as i can feel the pain i burn fantastically
i hate to be in love with you but put the blame on me
you're innocent just like a gun, you love me dangerously
you brought the stars right down to me, you smashed them on the ground
you ripped the moon out of its place and turned it upside down
maybe you thought i'd take it cool but i feel like i'm cursed
armed with the rapture of a fool i ruin my universe
i hate to be in love with you but put the blame on me
you're innocent just like a gun, you love me dangerously
*
..you carved the runes into my bones and signed them up for me
i still don't know what's on your list and what's prepared for me...
...for me
...for me
...for me

Ebony And Ivory
EBONY & IVORY"
Words & Music by Paul McCartney
Ebony and Ivory live together in perfect harmony
side by side on my piano keyboard, oh Lord, why don't we?
We all know that people are the same where ever we go
There is good and bad in ev'ryone,
we learn to live, we learn to give
each other what we need to survive together alive.
Ebony and Ivory live together in perfect harmony
side by side on my piano keyboard, oh Lord why don't we?
Ebony, ivory living in perfect harmony
Ebony, ivory, ooh
We all know that people are the same where ever we go
There is good and bad in ev'ryone,
we learn to live, we learn to give
each other what we need to survive together alive.
Ebony and Ivory live together in perfect harmony
side by side on my piano keyboard, oh Lord why don't we?
Ebony, ivory living in perfect harmony (repeat and fade)
