On the Friendship Betwixt Two Ladies

Tell me, lovely, loving pair!
Why so kind, and so severe?
Why so careless of our care,
Only to yourselves so dear?

By this cunning change of hearts,
You the power of love control;
While the boy's eluded darts
Can arrive at neither soul.

For in vain to either breast
Still beguiled love does come,
Where he finds a foreign guest,
Neither of your hearts at home.

Debtors thus with like design,
When they never mean to pay,
That they may the law decline,
To some friend make all away.

Not the silver doves that fly,
Yoked in Cytherea's car;
Not the wings that lift so high,
And convey her son so far;

Are so lovely, sweet, and fair,
Or do more ennoble love;
Are so choicely matched a pair,
Or with more consent do move.

A pair of Sparrows on my lovely Lemon Tree

Those were the days
So joyous and carefree
When I could watch the preening of
A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree

Summer days were so short, winters were so long
And for endless hours one could go on a kite flying spree
When I could watch, hopping here and there
A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree

Enjoying tender sunshine in winter is a past
And chapattis from an earthen hearth a history
When I could watch, assembling of a nest by
A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree

What seemed to be mundane at that time
Life in my backyard so ordinary
Bliss it is in hindsight, chirping of
A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree

I still sometimes motivate myself
To get off the treadmill and shake the shackles free
But can’t anymore find in my back yard
That pair of sparrows and that lovely lemon tree

A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree..

A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree.......

If She Do Not Love Me, Or Regard Me (Collins Sestets)

Will I over her be in some despair
as she is beautiful, in her looks fair,
like a blossom on a early spring day,
a fruit tree where all of the small birds play;
if she do not love me, or regard me,
what will I care, even if she is lovely?

How can she somehow come to my own mind
even if she is graceful, very kind,
even if she is tranquil by nature
and slenderness is of her a feature;
if she do not love me, or regard me,
what will I care, even if she is lovely?

If she cares for me true, her I will woo,
some pleasant things, all in my power do,
nothing to somehow cause her any grieve
while in her sincerity I will believe;
if she do not love me, or regard me,
what will I care, even if she is lovely?

For every moment of every year

I praise God for each and every year
that I have been married to you my dear.
Each day has been a great delight to spend
with you my lovely soul mate and good friend

You are more precious than silver or gold
a joy and pleasure to love and to hold.
Our lives are inseparably entwined
with much in common and our love combined

My lovely wife so wonderful and fair
each moment is a privilege to share.
You're the one that God has given to me
to enrich my life with love and harmony

Two Lovely Valentine Hearts

The touching of two lovely valentine hearts,
Blessing our days and warming our nights,
Filling our hearts and blending our souls,
With everlasting happiness, love and laughter. The touching of two lovely valentine hearts,
Love and beauty of the Aphrodite Goddess,
Wisdom and artistry of the Athena Goddess,
Corolla and whirls of the Azalea Goddess. The touching of two lovely valentine hearts,
Beautiful blue eyes of rainbow arc of hue,
Feeling the strength of permeate air breathed,
Gleam in the smile of the pearly white teeth. The touching of two lovely valentine hearts,
Creating rainbows for few precious moments,
The music from cabin sounds very grand,
and miracles created our most heavenly magic. The touching of two lovely valentine hearts,
Cannot escape the rapture that's captured.
The loving friendship that remained strong,
With essence of beauty lighting our life. May this poem instill the love and romantical existence and joy of
our life which is the birthright of all.
The very essence of being.

An Odd Conceit

Lovely kind, and kindly loving,
Such a mind were worth the moving;
Truly fair, and fairly true-
Where are all these, but in you?

Wisely kind, and kindly wise;
Blessed life, where such love lies!
Wise, and kind, and fair, and true-
Lovely live all these in you.

Sweetly dear, and dearly sweet;
Blessed, where these blessings meet!
Sweet, fair, wise, kind, blessed, true-
Blessed be all these in you!

Divine Love Endures No Rival

Love is the Lord whom I obey,
Whose will transported I perform;
The centre of my rest, my stay,
Love's all in all to me, myself a worm.

For uncreated charms I burn,
Oppressed by slavish fear no more,
For One in whom I may discern,
E'en when he frowns, a sweetness I adore.

He little loves him who complains,
And finds him rigorous and severe;
His heart is sordid, and he feigns,
Though loud in boasting of a soul sincere.

Love causes grief, but 'tis to move
And stimulate the slumbering mind;
And he has never tasted love
Who shuns a plan so graciously designed.

Sweet is the cross, above all sweets,
To souls enamoured with thy smiles;
The keenest woe life ever meets,
Love strips of all its terrors, and beguiles.

'Tis just that God should not be dear
Where self engrosses all the thought,
And groans and murmurs make it clear,
Whatever else is loved, the Lord is not.

The love of thee flows just as much
As that of ebbing self subsides;
Our hearts, their scantiness is such,
Bear not the conflict of two rival tides.

Both cannot govern in one soul;
Then let self–love be dispossessed;
The love of God deserves the whole,
And will not dwell with so despised a guest.

My lovely mom......My caring friend.....My magic angel
She is the one who I love the most
She is the one who cared for me all the time
She is the one who I share my secrets with
She is the one who fulfills my wishes
She is the one who I always treated as my best friend
She is the one who's always worried about me
She is the one who I can never lie to
She is the one who understands me better than anyone in this world
She is the one who suppots me when the world's against me
She is the one who shows me the right path
She is the one who understand single dropp of my tears
She is the one who fights for me
She is the one who is always in our hearts
She is the one who I can never forget
She is the one who stayed awake whole night just for me
She is the one who saves us from harm ways
She is the one who can put her life in danger just for me
She is My lovely angel
She is my magic fairy
She is the queen of my hearts

This is the only time you can spend with her

Shall I Wasting in Despair

Shall I wasting in despair
Die because a woman's fair?
Or make pale my cheeks with care
'Cause another's rosy are?
Be she fairer than the day,
Or the flow'ry meads in May,
If she be not so to me,
What care I how fair she be?

Shall my heart be griev'd or pin'd
'Cause I see a woman kind?
Or a well-disposed nature
Joined with a lovely feature?
Be she meeker, kinder, than
Turtle dove or pelican,
If she be not so to me,
What care I how kind she be?

Shall a woman's virtues move
Me to perish for her love?
Or her well-deserving known
Make me quite forget mine own?
Be she with that goodness blest
Which may gain her name of best
If she be not such to me,
What care I, how good she be?

'Cause her fortune seems too high
Shall I play the fool and die?
Those that bear a noble mind,
Where they want of riches find,
Think what with them they would
That without them dare to woo;
And unless that mind I see,
What care I how great she be?

Great, or good, or kind, or fair,
I will ne'er the more despair;
If she love me, this believe,
I will die ere she shall grieve;
If she slight me when I woo,
I can scorn and let her go;
For if she be not for me,
What care I for whom she be?

The Manly Heart

Shall I, wasting in despair,
Die because a woman's fair?
Or my cheeks make pale with care
'Cause another's rosy are?
Be she fairer than the day
Or the flowery meads in May --
If she be not so to me,
What care I how fair she be?

Shall my foolish heart be pined
'Cause I see a woman kind;
Or a well dispos-ed nature
Join-ed with a lovely feature?
Be she meeker, kinder, than
Turtle-dove or pelican,
If she be not so to me,
What care I how kind she be?

Shall a woman's virtues move
Me to perish for her love?
Or her merit's value known
Make me quite forget mine own?
Be she with that goodness blest
Which may gain her name of Best;
If she seem not such to me,
What care I how good she be?

'Cause her fortune seems too high,
Shall I play the fool and die?
Those that bear a noble mind
Where they want of riches find,
Think what with them they would do
Who without them dare to woo;
And unless that mind I see,
What care I though great she be?

Stanzas To A Lady, On Leaving England

'Tis done---and shivering in the gale
The bark unfurls her snowy sail;
And whistling o'er the bending mast,
Loud sings on high the fresh'ning blast;
And I must from this land be gone,
Because I cannot love but one.

But could I be what I have been,
And could I see what I have seen---
Could I repose upon the breast
Which once my warmest wishes blest---
I should not seek another zone,
Because I cannot love but one.

'Tis long since I beheld that eye
Which gave me bliss or misery;
And I have striven, but in vain,
Never to think of it again:
For though I fly from Albion,
I still can only love but one.

As some lone bird, without a mate,
My weary heart is desolate;
I look around, and cannot trace
One friendly smile or welcome face,
And ev'n in crowds am still alone,
Because I cannot love but one.

And I will cross the whitening foam,
And I will seek a foreign home;
Till I forget a false fair face,
I ne'er shall find a resting-place;
My own dark thoughts I cannot shun,
But ever love, and love but one.

The poorest, veriest wretch on earth
Still finds some hospitable hearth,
Where Friendship's or Love's softer glow
May smile in joy or soothe in woe;
But friend or leman I have none,'
Because I cannot love but one.

I go---but wheresoe'er I flee
There's not an eye will weep for me;
There's not a kind congenial heart,
Where I can claim the meanest part;
Nor thou, who hast my hopes undone,
Wilt sigh, although I love but one.

To think of every early scene,
Of what we are, and what we've been,
Would whelm some softer hearts with woe---
But mine, alas! has stood the blow;
Yet still beats on as it begun,
And never truly loves but one.

And who that dear lov'd one may be,
Is not for vulgar eyes to see;
And why that early love was cross'd,
Thou know'st the best, I feel the most;
But few that dwell beneath the sun
Have loved so long, and loved but one.

I've tried another's fetters too,
With charms perchance as fair to view;
And I would fain have loved as well,
But some unconquerable spell
Forbade my bleeding breast to own
A kindred care for aught but one.

'Twould soothe to take one lingering view,
And bless thee in my last adieu;
Yet wish I not those eyes to weep
For him that wanders o'er the deep;
His home, his hope, his youth are gone,
Yet still he loves, and loves but one.

I Know What Love Is

I Know What Love Is
There ain't a right way to a wrong thing
Tere ain't a bad tune that angels sing
Coz I know what you are like
There ain't a short cut to a long love affair
You know that three hearts don't make a pair
Coz I know your ace is high
I know what love is what love is what love is
And I know what love is like
There ain't a quick fix to a slow heartbreak
There ain't a good feeling in a bad mistake
But I know when it feels right
I know what love is what love is what love is
And I know what love is like
Love is like a bed I make it every day
Love is like breeze it blows you away
I know what love is like
There ain't a small thought in a big bouquet
There ain't another kiss like that first date
Coz I know that you just might
I know what love is what love is what love is
And I know what love is like
Love is like a bed I make it every day
Love is like a breeze that blows you away
Love is like a wish and love is like song
Love is like a thought that spins you along
I know what love is like
There ain't another song like Avalon
When the lights are off to turn you on
I know what love is like
I know what love is what love is what love is
And I know what love is like
Love is like a bed I make it every day
Love is like a breeze that blows you away
Love is like a wish and love is like a song
Love is like a though that spins you along
I know what love is like
I know what love is like
And I know what love is like
And I know what love is like

Love Me, Lovely

Lovely, lovely, did you see me
Just as I was crying
Love me lovely, make it easy
What I say is hard but I am trying
Lovely, lovely, can you hear me
Listen to my singing
Love me lovely, while youre near me
Try and understand the thought Im bringing
Last night I was sleeping
But I did not know if Id awaken today
Lie in my keeping, only know
That I cant stay after today
Im on my way - love me lovely
Love me lovely
Lovely, lovely, you cant fool me
I know that you need me
Love me, lovely, now and truly
Knowing that your love can only speed me
Dont say how it could be
Or Ill know that youll be crying today
Just how it should be I dont know
So this Ill say
Im on my way - love me lovely
Love me lovely
Last night I was sleeping
But I did not know if Id awaken today
Lie in my keeping, only know
That I cant stay after today
Im on my way - love me lovely
Love me lovely

Swallows

O LITTLE hearts, beat home, beat home,
Here is no place to rest.
Night darkens on the falling foam
And on the fading west.
O little wings, beat home, beat home.
Love may no longer roam.

O, Love has touched the fields of wheat
And Love has crowned the corn,
And we must follow Love's white feet
Through all the ways of morn.
Through all the silver roads of air
We pass and have no care.

The silver roads of Love are wide,
O winds that turn, O stars that guide.
Sweet are the ways that Love has trod
Through the clear skies that reach to God.
But in the cliff-grass Love builds deep
A place where wandering wings may sleep.

A Pair of Fractured Hearts

A pair of fractured hearts stand
near the corner of regret.
Each with their arms outstretched
ready to take another bet.
That the next heart they meet
will hold the intensity of love they need.
Too many long nights
with pillows stained in tears,
now they wait with beckoning arms
trying to forget their worst fears.
Each needs a loving heart
to fill their soul with warmth.
And so they wait
these pair of fractured hearts
near the corner of regret.

Essence of Azhaki (a tamil movie)

Thangamony and Shanmughom,
A loving pair diverged to suffer.
He had fortune and she, misfortune.
He had lovely spouse and she, a drunkard.
He met her, felt her and wept for her.
From the bed of rose, he thought of
thorn.

She ekes out; He weeps out.
She is coolly; He is gloomy
As a maid, she is hit, he doubly.
As her son is denied food,
He resolves to forgo his food.
She is more than his wife.
Her son is more than his.
Her humiliation is his humiliation.

As a widow, she is undisturbed
As a lover, he is perturbed.
He is not an ex-lover to her
But she is so, to him.
Her identity unfolds.
As his wife sulks
She flees their home.
He is upset.
Doubts are cleared.
His wife is reconciled.

He finds her son back
The son is backing home.
He is his foster father.
He cannot be the foster husband.
Her son and his daughter
Grow together
He could not live for her.
He wanted to live for her son.

His love for her
Is subtly sublimated on her son.
He does it with the hope
That she will return once
And see his gratitude.
If I were in his shoes
I would give her son my girl.
The love of
Thangamony and Shanmughom
Is the perfect example
For every ex-love pair.

For You, For Me For Evermore

Paradise can not refuse us
Never such a happy pair
Everybody must excuse us
If we walk on air
All the shadows now will lose us
Lucky stars are everywhere
As a happy being
Heres what Im forseeing
For you, for me, forever more
Its bound to be forever more
Its plain to see
We found, by finding each other
The love we waited for
Im yours, youre mine
And in our hearts
The happy ending starts
What a lovely world
This world will be
With a world of love in store
For you, for me, forever more.

Add me to pair.

There are you, only you,
who for I long. Tell me,
what is with me wrong?

I love you, only you,
which is not a crush.
Nor a truce, but real.
Can’t you grant my wish?

Maybe one,
someone, is in your way.
In a better way I can sway.
Heed can you pay?

Sweet and sour, one likes.
Moon and stars, one likes.
Kids and kitten, one likes.

If not sweet, be I a soar;
If not a moon, be I a star,
If not a kid, be I a kitten,

To you, dear.
Take me too, with you,
along with them.
Then I am not wrecked.
A pair of eyes,
A pair of limbs
And a pair of breasts,
all in pair you have.
Take me, to pair with the other.

I can’t retreat. Upbeat is
my heart, that will repeat,
will not subside, or recede.
Don’t put me aside.

There are you.
Only you who for I live.
Show me, please,
show me that
you lull me to trance.

The Lover's Resolution

SHALL I, wasting in despair,
Die because a woman 's fair?
Or make pale my cheeks with care
'Cause another's rosy are?
Be she fairer than the day,
Or the flow'ry meads in May,
   If she think not well of me,
   What care I how fair she be?

Shall my silly heart be pined

Be she meeker, kinder, than

Shall a woman's virtues move
Me to perish for her love?
Or her well-deservings known
Make me quite forget my own?
Be she with that goodness blest
Which may merit name of Best,
   If she be not such to me,
   What care I how good she be?

'Cause her fortune seems too high,
Shall I play the fool and die?
She that bears a noble mind,
If not outward helps she find,
Thinks what with them he would do
That without them dares her woo;
   And unless that mind I see,

Sick Heartbreaker

I am sick

I am a sick and demented soul who finds pleasure
and a sense of importance
in breaking hearts

Nothing flatters me more than the dull thud of the male ego crushed
by mere words of mine
The happiest smile I smile
when a pair of longing, jealous eyes are watching me

Does this make me evil?
Does it make me evil to not let anyone put my heart under their microscope?
to strive for detachment from everything that might cause me sorrow in the future?
I don't believe so.

I am just sick.
No silly boy can get me out of this state
No weak-hearted, easily-swept-off-their-feet lad can cure me

I am sick, severely ill.
Only the strongest of hearts
the coolest of heads
the most cunning
the most sincere
the calmest
the most passionate
have any hopes of curing my diseased heart

I am sick.
I am vain and sick.
