I knew the exuberance of playing before an admiring audience and hearing my secret voice.

With Each Beat Of My Heart
Honey, sweet
Ive got something to say to you in privacy
Something Id like for you to hear
And only your ears alone
Secretly
Ive been admiring you intensely
So much so Id like to settle down with you
And make a home
You are my first breath
My first smile
And my morning cup of tea
Yours is the love
That I pray for
Before I go to sleep
From the time I saw your face
I knew no other could erase
My loving you with each beat of my heart
Until the day I heard your speak
I didnt know that sound was sweet
Me hearing you with each beat of my heart
Theres a time when playing ends
And the serious begins
Like the love that I felt from the start
With each beat of my heart
Honey, sweet
I soared into a heavens galaxy
So hypnotized was i
From seeing all the magic in your eyes
So I bring
To you whats been a lifetime fantasy
O f being with the only one who can
Create my paradise
You are my first breath
My first smile
And my morning cup of tea
Yours is the love
That I pray for
Before I go to sleep
From the time I saw your face
I knew no other could erase
My loving you with each beat of my heart
Until the day I heard your speak
I didnt know that sound was sweet
Me hearing you with each beat of my heart
Theres a time when playing ends
And the serious begins
Like the love that I felt from the start
With each beat of my heart
Theres a time when playing ends
And the serious begins
Like the love that I felt from the start
With each beat of my heart

It Depends On The Situation
In the playing of games,
There are those who are less experienced...
Decide without advice taken,
To play them indiscriminately.
Without thought of who the opponent may be.
Or if the one chosen to be exposed to playing,
Has not in fact...
Elected to do so to prevent total boredom,
To hop and take a ride on one's back...
In the playing of games.
And then,
In the playing of games...
It depends on the situation.
The environment is important as well.
However...
If the playing of the same games,
Gets too familiar...
It becomes very difficult to play them,
With the same exuberance...
As those enjoying to play them repetitiously,
Throughout their lives!

For anyone who works in front of an audience there is no thrill quite like that of feeling and hearing the evidence of the audience members' enjoyment. Laughter and applause really are powerful.

The BBC were not playing the music that was happening on the street so we did an independent production because we knew we had an audience. Then we licensed the album to EMI.

I Walked With The Lines Of Others In My Mind
I WALKED WITH THE LINES OF OTHERS IN MY MIND
I walked with the lines of others in my mind
Greater lines by far than my own -
But they were the lines of others
Hearing them I could not hear myself -
I walked and let my own voice tell itself
It knew it was a lesser thing
But it was my voice
And hearing it
I know I am alive.
There are a few great poets
But there are many small poets too.

You know, we're not on stage, we're not doing a play, so we don't have a relationship with the audience but going through that process and also just hearing how much people love the film, you feel like you do have a relationship with the audience.

The Fly
It's no secret that the stars are falling from the sky
It's no secret that our world is in darkness tonight
They say the sun is sometimes eclipsed by a moon}
Y' know I don't see you when she walks in the room
It's no secret that a friend is someone who lets you help
It's no secret that a liar won't believe anyone else
They say a secret is something you tell another person
So I'm telling you... child
Low Voice:
A man will beg
A man will craw
On the sheer face of love
Like a fly on a wall
It's no secret at all
It's no secret that a conscience can sometimes be a pest
It's no secret ambition bites the nails of success
Every artist is a cannibal

Intimacy comes from being yourself on the stage and making the audience feel, without trying, that you're sittin' down there with 'em, playing, and that can happen in a big hall, if you have a good audience that want to listen.

A performance is only as good as the audience you are playing to. A lot of times you feed off of the audience, and we always try to give them all we've got and sometimes you don't get a lot back, but we've never been dead whenever we've performed.

You're in front of an audience, but you're playing for a camera. There's this huge adrenaline rush, because you know that besides the audience in the studio, there are millions of people watching at home.

Memory In The Mist
Looking through the
mist of the past
Hearing the ego of
your voice in my dreams
Seeing your shadow in
our secret places
Your voice caught me
without a warning
Fire of hate burning
Why didn’t I listen
to the voices of
warnin’
The snake at the back
of your voice
That was so perfectly
disguise as an angel
Walking slowly through
the rain of my tears
Memories of us are
running through my
mind,
cuts me open
without a warning
The rose of promise
in your eyes
Trying to catch the
fallen promises
Reaching for a
Disneyland love
Remember the words
you spoke
Your gentle touch
on my skin
The soft glance in
your eyes
If only I could see
the twisted lies
underneath the beauty
You’re the only one
who really knew me
If only I could let
you turn around
and see the leaves-pain
fell
Now, your face is
just a memory in
the mist

Liquid Sky
I aint no romeo. Im just the man for you.
Holding out as secrets travel, they kind of get to you.
Everybody says that it couldve been something.
Never was a smart kid, never knew a good thing.
Always hearing voices swim ... in your liquid sky.
Liquid sky ... always hearing voices, like no more choices in disguise.
I aint no sacred idol or a saint pretending.
Ill build you up. Ill tear you down. turn you wrong side in.
What am I afraid of? everyones listening.
Standing on my soapbox, lost the beginning.
Always hearing voices ... swim ... in your liquid sky.
Liquid sky ... Im always hearing voices, like no more choices, like a lie.
Its just, its just liquid sky.
Im always hearing voices like electric shock waves in disguise.
I dont know what this means. Ill leave it for your interpretation. its just me at the edge ...
Everybody says that it could have been something.
Never was a smart kid, never knew a good thing.
Always hearing voices ... swim in your liquid sky.
Liquid sky ... Im always hearing voices, like no more choices, like a lie.
Its just, its just liquid sky. Im always hearing voices like electric shock waves in disguise.
Always hearing voices swim ...

You said that you'd call me!
Don't hate me for caring
Don't tear me apart
I'm lost without you
Please don't break my heart
You said that you'd call me
But my phone hasn't rung
Now the radio's playing
Our song that you sung
My world isn't worth it
Without you by my side
The pains getting worse
But i have to bide by the time
You said that you'd call me
But my phone hasn't rung
Now the radio's playing
Our song that you sung
Everything reminds me of you
I'm scared of never seeing your face again
Your eyes
Your smile
Your lips
Or hearing you speak
Or hearing you laugh
Even hearing you cry
I need you
Here
Here by my side
You said that you'd call me
But my phone hasn't rung
Now the radio's playing
Our song that you sung

The First Day
The day we met i knew
from the distance i could see
a angel in the sun, in heaven I must be
the smile, the sparkle eyes, the soft voice
the gorgeous body, the elegant walk
for evey move i knew, it's you
I drool, endless looks
just gotta meet
seeing you dance, hearing you sing
bring music to my ears
brings tears, and fears
one day i hope you'll be mine
then i will be fine
there's never a day goes by
when the day i seen you
I knew we be true
that first day
a angel came

Being on Oprah? You realize that there are a couple of types of audience members. There are like the cult people in the audience who are just crying before she gets on. And then there are the people who are playing it cool. I definitely was somewhere in the middle.

The Power of the Voice
Have we become such a slave to social media that we forgot the power of the voice?
Hearing I love you is so much more meaningful then seeing a smiling avatar with a heart.
Actual of hearing the sound of someone laughing is more joyful then LOL.
Someone saying I am sorry is more powerful than a face with a teardropp running down.
As much as we communicate with one another these days to me it seems as if the world has gone mute.
We have forgotten the power of the voice.
