At The Feast

EVOLVING, changing, onwards still we press--
We must advance, invent, construct, possess;
No matter what a price we have to pay,
We must obtain perfection, and no less--

Perfection in our luxuries, the hours,
Fulfilled of sweetness, must be slaves of ours;
Our air be rich with music and soft light,
And all our halls be odorous with flowers.

How our least want may best be satisfied,
How not a pleasure may be left untried;
How to appease each longing and desire,
This we have learned, and something else beside.

Yes, we have learned to know, and not to shrink
From knowing, to what depths our brothers sink;
And we have learned the lesson 'not to feel,'
And we have learned the lesson 'not to think.'

We must have learned it; otherwise, to-night,
When, sped by wine and feasting, time takes flight,
When perfect music searches for our soul,
And all these flowers unfold for our delight,

We should not hear the music, but, instead,
Hear that wild, bitter, heart-sick cry for bread,
And in the lamps that light our lavish feast,
Should see but tapers burning for the dead.

We should not see the myriad blossoms waste,
The bloom of them would be thrust back, displaced
By the white faces of the starving children--
Wasted and wan, who might have been flower-faced.

Oh, not to think! To think and not to care!
Oh, woman hearts, still do these flowers seem fair?
Can music drown the little piteous voices?
Can you not see the little faces there?

For 'faring sumptuously every day,'
For raiment soft and music on our way,
We give--the tortured lives of little children:
For such a purchase, what a price to pay!

Add Some Music

The sunday mornin' gospel goes good with the soul
There's blues, folk, and country, and rock like a rollin' stone
The world could come together as one
If everybody under the sun
Add some music to your day
(Add some music add some add some music to your day)
A bob didit a bop didit
You'll hear it while you're walkin' by a neighbor's home
You'll hear it faintly in the distance when you're on the phone
You're sittin' in a dentist's chair
And they've got music for you there
To add some music
(Add some music add some add some music to your)
To your day
A bob didit a bop didit
Add some music music everywhere (add some music)
Add some add some add some add some music (add some music)
Your doctor knows it keeps you calm
Your preacher adds it to his psalms
So add some music
(Add some music add some add some music to your)
To your day
Music
(Add some music add some music)
When you're alone
(Add some music add some music)
Is like a companion
(Add some music add some music)
For your lonely soul
Oo oo oo woo oo woo oo oo oo oooo
When day is over (when day is over)
I close my tired eyes (I close my tired)
Music is in my soul
At a movie you can feel it touching your heart
And on every day of the summertime
You'll hear children chasing ice cream carts
They'll play it on your wedding day
There must be 'bout a million ways
To add some music
(Add some music add some add some music to your)
To your day
Add some music to your day
Add some music to your day
Add some music to your day
Add some music to your day
Add some music to your day

Terrible place

There is time to smell the flowers,
There is time to drink the wine,
We have time to sit and think
About the love we left behind.

There is time to be romantic,
There is time to say goodbye,
We have time to hear the music
Of the babies when they sigh.

There is time to feel remorseful,
There is time to heal old wounds,
We have time to learn the lessons
From the wars that brought us gloom.

There is time to feel excitement,
There is time to trust a friend,
We have time to love each other
In this world that we must tend.

There is time to watch the sunset,
There is time to sit and stare,
We have time to whisper softly
To the ones we find most fair.

There is time to see the heavens,
There is time to praise the Lord,
We have time to take slow walks
Across the fields that we adore.

Please let this be a lesson learned
Treasure each and every trice,
For time holds no one to itself
It’s lost at a terrible price……

Learned...

from being homeless,
i learned the value of home!
from being hungry,
i learned the value of being fed.
from being sick,
i learned the value of health.
from being left alone,
i learned the value of love.
from being confined in a cell,
i learned the value of freedom.
from being persecuted,
i learned the value of human rights.
from being an infidel,
i learned to see the face of god...

Sleep Waltz

for MCW

Get old enough so you won't have much to fear.
By then, the music plays inside your head
and everything beautiful must be learned by ear.

In the bathroom mirror I behold my wear and tear.
In our bedroom I try to levitate in bed.
Get old enough so you won't have much to fear.

Meanwhile, my son at six wants to keep me near
and we sing together every night head to head.
So everything beautiful must be learned by ear.

His father's tunes, though, will one day disappear
beyond today's routines and daily bread.
But get old enough so you won't have much to fear.

Remembering my mother was my first career
and the songs surrounding her on which I fed,
knowing everything beautiful must be learned by ear.

We may waltz in the kitchen now, my dear,
or dance out of time in our sleep instead.
Get old enough so you have nothing left to fear.
Everything beautiful must be learned by ear.

The Music

The Music is an outlet
The music is a living thing
The Music is everything
The music is heart and soul
The Music also has its toll
The music is a creature
The music takes time
No matter your life or rhyme
The music is variety
The music can also heal
No matter you calamity
The music is a way to be found
No matter the music’s sound.

Epiphany, Dead Man Walking

i learned to walk again,
the day you drove away
and left me standing in the drive...

i learned to see again,
staring at old photographs
in a book hid away.

i learned to think again,
thinking, and rethinking
every move and every action.

i learned to feel again,
struck dumb with waves of sorrow,
with blood on my lips.

i learned to cry again,
in the dark and sleepless night,
when no one else could see.

i learned to fight again,
pushed back against the wall
with nothing left to lose.

i learned to pray again,
to a God that doesnt answer,
from the gates of hell.

i learned to dream again,
violent shaking nightmares,
waking up to a cold sweat.

i learned to love again
to cherish every moment,
every touch forgotten.

i learned to walk again,
and walked off into the sunset
with our hearts in my hands.

I have never learned to read or write music so I am not a virtuoso musician like the others you mentioned. I am completely unable to play like them because I never learned classical music, I just developed my own crazy style!

What I Learned Today

What I learned today is that there will be a tomorrow,
what I learned today is the truth is full of pain and sorrow.

What I learned yesterday is people make mistakes,
what I learned yesterday is I will do whatever it takes.

What I learned Saturday when i watched you leave I take back
what I said, what I learned Saturday is when we fought i dread.

What I learned now is that part of my heart is gone,
what I learned now is you will no longer wake me up at dawn.

It is quiet with out you,
I feel I have many things to do.

Live To Tell (Live)

I have a tale to tell
Sometimes it gets so hard to hide it well
I was not ready for the fall
Too blind to see the writing on the wall
A man can tell a thousand lies
Ive learned my lesson well
Hope I live to tell the secrets I have learned, till then
It will burn inside of me
I know where beauty lives
Ive seen it once I know the warmth she gives
The light that you could never see
It shines inside, you cant take that from me
A man can tell a thousand lies
Ive learned my lesson well
Hope I live to tell the secrets I have learned, till then
It will burn inside of me
The truth is never far behind
You kept it hidden well
If I live to tell the secrets I knew then
Will I ever have a chance again ?
If I ran away, Id never have the strength to go very far
How would they hear the beating of my heart ?
Will it grow cold the secrets that I hide ? Will I grow old ?
How would they hear ? They would they learn ?
How would they know ?
A man can tell a thousand lies
Ive learned my lesson well
Hope I live to tell the secrets I have learned, till then
It will burn inside of me
The truth is never far behind
You kept it hidden well
If I live to tell the secrets I knew then
Will I ever have a chance again ?
A man can tell a thousand lies
Ive learned my lesson well
Hope I live to tell the secrets I have learned, till then
It will burn inside of me

Music

Music, the sound of loud music just rocks my heart and soul. The feeling is so amazing because the life seems so fulfilled when good music is around. Bright and complete I become. Everything is so perfect when I hear a cool song. Music, it is music. Ultimate feeling can be recieved through loud and lovely music. Listen and feel the rhythm with your heart so that it can touch the soul. Music, loud music.

Music

Can you feel the music,
As it calms your soul,
Music helps to keep us
on our feet.

Music is surely the soul
that connects within us all,
Nourishing and comforting us.

The beauty of soft melody
playing helps to relax our
mind and body and our
soul.

Variety of different music helps
us all to decide which rhythm our
soul wants for today.

Music helps us to blossom,
The same way as flowers
like a good tune or a sweet
lullaby.

Without music life would
have no nourishment to help
move us along,
life would feel dull.

Music fills the emptiness in
our hearts,
Spreading that joyful feeling.

Music has a way to always chase
away those dark clouds,
When feeling gloomy and sad,
Turn on that favorite song.

Music has come along way through
out history,
Nothing could never take away
the magic of music.

I hear the music
The music is playing
The music is soft
The music is now fading
The music is gone
Which means so is my life
No music means no life
The music is gone
Come back to me music
The Music is begining
I have a life
The music is pretty
The Music is wonderful
Oh no
The music is fading again
I love the music
The music is gone
Good bye music

I've learned

Ive learned that to love someone doesnt have to involve pain,
Ive learned that to have a friend you must be a friend first,
Ive learned that in time youll see your mistakes and learn from them,
Ive learned that to be alone sometimes is the best thing for you,
Ive learned that in order to love a person you must feel loved,
Ive learned that if your wrong admit it or youll never forgive yourself,
Ive learned that your first love will be a part of you and you may never forget,
Ive learned that in order to move on you must fix what was first wrong,
Ive learned that if you ever mess up, you can always start over again,
Ive learned that to be 'cool' doesnt involve pressure,
Ive learned to accept what I have and be happy,
Ive learned that people will come and go so tell the ones you love how you feel,
Ive learned that to respect yourself you must respect others,
Ive learned that your actions always involve consequences whether it be good or bad,
Ive learned that priceless words can mean the world to someone,
Ive learned that sometimes being silent is the best solution,
Ive learned to expect the unexpected,
Ive learned that healing a broken heart involves tears and pain,
Ive learned to see the world in the eyes of others,
And Ive learned that each new day is a day to touch a life.

Music can tell a story

I hear the music
Music is love
Music is life
Music can tell a story

Music cheers
But also brings memories
What's so special about music?
When I listen to music it takes me'
to another world.

Music is my passion
Music soothes the soul
Music can take away the pain
Our life is music.

Music inspires me
The music flows through me
Do you hear it?
The beats of music.

Come dance with me tonight.

Last Show

This is the Last Show
I will ever play with you
this is the end of what you put me through
the Last Show i will ever play with you
this is the end of what we do...
I don't want fame, i don't want money
I just want to have fun again
I don't want girls, or backstage parties
I just want to feel like we're friends
I think i've learned my lesson
I think i've figured this whole thing out
this is a fine profession
but it's no fun
so i'm done
This is the Last Show
I will ever play with you
this is the end of what you put me through
the Last Show i will ever play with you
this is the end of what we do...
I never thought i would hate music
I never thought i would hate you
but every day this feels more like a job i don't even want to do
I think i've learned my lesson
I'll NEVER follow my dreams again
I wont waste any more of your time
so kiss my ass
I wont be back
This is the Last Show
I will ever play with you
this is the end of what you put me through
the Last Show i will ever play with you
this is the end of what we do...
did we do it for the money?
did we do it because we were bored?
I was better off with what i had before
and that was nothing
that was
nothing
at
all...
This is the Last Show
I will ever play with you
this is the end of what you put me through
the Last Show i will ever play with you
this is the end of what we do
this is the last song
this is the last line...goodbye.

What is music?

What is music?
Music is the rhythm of the soul
Every beat, every tone, every melody
Is in sync with the natural vibe of your body

What is music?
Music is an outlet, from the everyday
It can take away the pain you feel
Or add to the excitement of a new day

What is music?
Music is something that never changes, just Evolves
Music brings people together of all ages
No matter what you believe in, music brings Common ground

What is music?
Music is my name
Music is who I am
Music is my life
Music is something that can’t be taken away
I will always and forever have MY music
