Possible By Election And Effort
A mosquito is flying across my eyes,
A tiny mosquito which sits on the fruits,
I am trying to chase or snatch it,
But I am unable to catch it.
A person who cannot catch a mosquito,
How can he expect to fetch the government
to get the President post (or) FORT?
It is possible by election and EFFORT.

Muscoviet Musquito
I must write a letter to you
I must make myself clear
It is spot on time, right on cue
I am a clam, somebody said to me
Its obscene, there must be a motive behind
Its obscure. there must be someone behind
A muscovite mosquito, a muscovite mosquito
A muscovite mosquito, a muscovite mosquito
A vivid image anyway
Someone said, youre a clam,
Consider this !
Mmm, listen oh, listen to me, youre far
A thousand miles away from here
I am here, I am here in this ooze through country
Trampled down by mega people
A dispute will never end
A retrospection ,it sounds obscene
A disconnection,
A final balance sheet for muscovite mosquito
For muscovite mosquito
For muscovite mosquito, it sound obscene
It sound so obscure, for muscovite mosquito
My final balance sheet is gone...... for
Muscovite mosquito, muscovite mosquito
Its spot on time, right on cue
You missed the chance, somebody vexedly said
Its obscene, there must be motives behind
Its obscure, there must be someone behind

You Came
You Came
I remained before you came
After your arrival I remain also
Ballie bloomed before you came
Crow used to cawing at dawn
The barking dog used to embrace me
As soon as I reached to it
Some feature after your arrival
But amongst this something differ
What is that something?
I asked it to a street boy-
He replied, how can I answer-
This footpath was bedroom of my grand father
That was before 1947
Grand father could not sleep because of British mosquito
My father’s expression was same
He was destroyed due to Pakistani mosquito
And what’s about-
The mosquito grew up socking blood of me
Grand father and father- Will let me off?
But I have heard, If this government
May come for next term-
Government will give us mosquito curtain each.
In the previous periods none gave this commitment.
If really I get the mosquito curtain
Then, like my life
Answer of your `something’ will get.

Triolet: Sacrifice
Mosquito you must die for me,
with one last hypodermic bite.
You have my blood and guarantee,
mosquito you must die for me.
I line you up and count to three,
goodNIGHT! to you, to me goodnight.
Mosquito you must die for me,
With one last hypodermic bite.

There was a mosquito the other day
That buzzed as he went along the way.
He stung me on a whim.
I jumped and swat at him,
But the mosquito had flown away.
Gone young
I stopped for some minutes
Looked away from my scribbles, littered
Pieces of papers on the table and
A glass of water that fattens the thumb
Only time knows how long;
As I glazed through the window
At the orange sun
Hanging on the west side
Little Jamie was kicking football around
With the others
He was only five,
Bare, tiny mosquito legs
On tiny rocks, stones and silt
Dogs frolic around the corner
With their undefined business
After a moment in time
I turned back
At the future soccer mockery
Jamie was gone
Like the fading light in April
That was the last I saw him
My tiny, mosquito legged star player
News came few days later
Stray bullet went through him
As hot knife through butter;
My tiny mosquito legged player
With reverie and ambition
Fizzled like smoke in the wind
I remember you Jamie;
My mosquito legged star
Faded dreams
On rocks, stones and silt
On my scribbles and poetic rubbish
Fit for publication
Adieu!

Just because you are irritated by a mosquito, you burn the mosquito curtain.
Sinecure
A mosquito on my hand; I smiled at her
She evaded my eyes and dug deep into my skin
‘zrrrrrrrrrr’! Sipped my blood without fear
Again I smiled; rather I did grin
This time she looked with dozy eyes at me
Laughed aloud and tried to take off,
Stumbled a bit and fumbled her way to the
Nearby chair and managed to cough
She looked around as if she is unable
To see anything and moved precariously
Towards the cabinet at the corner wall
Looked at the files and left my room lazily
Few weeks later, during my evening stroll
Along the side of a drainage channel
I found that mosquito and called her
“I haven’t seen you for too long! Gone where? ”
She looked aghast at me and after a long brood
Said, “By our mosquito-king’s decree
I never dared to come to your sinecure
The order said; never touch a Govt. servant’s blood”

The Little Turtle
A Recitation for Martha Wakefield, Three Years Old
There was a little turtle.
He lived in a box.
He swam in a puddle.
He climbed on the rocks.
He snapped at a mosquito.
He snapped at a flea.
He snapped at a minnow.
And he snapped at me.
He caught the mosquito.
He caught the flea.
He caught the minnow.
But he didn't catch me.

Loco Mosquito
Pop
My mommy told me
If I were goody
That she would buy me
A rubber dolly
I got some energy to burn
It makes me jumpy and nervous
But Im too damn old to join the military service
Hup two three four
I got to hit my baby on a saturday night
You know the devil made me do it
I know it wasnt right
Like a loco mosquito
round and round and round igo
And when Im hungry
Down I go
Please mr. custer I dont wanna go
And spend my night in a bar with some stupid dodo
Im sick of hanging round with old transvestites
They stare at my rubbers
It makes me uptight
And here I go
In love again
Here I go-oh wo wo
Like a loco mosquito
I got some energy to burn
But you always want to tap it
Youre busy sucking on my gas tank
Before I can tap it
Like a loco mosquito
round and round and round igo
And when Im hungry
Down I go
Loco mosquito

Life Life
a lizard is dying near the sink
ants are having their time
all over the cup that has
been on the table for two days
and mould is growing in another
with leftover milo that has
been there for days
a mosquito is feeding
on one of my legs
even though i have on
the mosquito repelling
sonic wave machine made
in china
so much itch it leaves
and it is still flying around
i am trying to get to
the other side of the world
all parts of the world
and join the brains hovering
at my fingertips

Benitez
Mosquito,
Of the blood-sucker insect very common in Africa! !
And the after effects of the mosquito bits had led many to death;
But where is the City of Love for us in Africa?
Benitez my friend,
It is just like the days of the flood;
But when one prophecy is fulfilled,
Only a few are aware of it.

A Mosquito....
a mosquito bites my toe
but i am busy looking at the stars
let it bite suck some of my blood,
let its thirst be quenched and let it go away
and breed and live in the places of the heart
let there be no dots and dashes
and commas and periods
a semicolon may even destroy the existence of
my colon
my hands do not strike a mosquito
they are my pillows my maps of destinations
my fingers my words
let not that mosquito see the giants
we're not
let it live and find its gods
we're not
we're just here as the outpouring of our rain
as factual mountains
we are ' living trying to distinguish
creativity from self-destruction'
who placed us there is never our wish
who put our names is never our command
we are but landslides of our weaknesses
slips of our rashness
morning soliloquy
evening's parting words
if we have harmed your transparent wings
must you forgive and define for once what could be worst than worse?

Mosquito Coil
Its looking out
From inside
A Christmas bonus
To last forever
You think you"re ready dont you
Its a Mosquito Coil
Where boys and girls
Trying to stop
their heads spinning
A Mosquito Coil
An instant supernova
For beginners
Once you"re in
You cant get out
Dashboard Jesus
Has your number
And please remember me
In your circle of friends
What"s killing you
Is killing me
One fling leads to another

Mosquito's Feast
A humming mosquito said: gun, gun, gun,
For greatest ever feast come, come, come.
Party area is a house of SHETH,
And venue is his lush dark pate.
Angelic Anopheles and Cute Culex* are special guests,
And black trouser is place for rest.
Special item is blood of HITESH,
Our greatest enemy, whom I detest.
Coil, Net and Mat may prove hitch,
But, 'Arise, awake and stop not till goal is reached.'**
Please keep your children at bay,
From a newest mosquito killer spray.
With God’s grace destroy devilish plan,
And with malaria wipe out evil human clan.
*Anopheles and Culex are species of mosquito
**Arise, awake and stop not till goal is reached-Saying of Swami Vivekananda.

How To Kill
Under the parabola of a ball,
a child turning into a man,
I looked into the air too long.
The ball fell in my hand, it sang
in the closed fist: Open Open
Behold a gift designed to kill.
Now in my dial of glass appears
the soldier who is going to die.
He smiles, and moves about in ways
his mother knows, habits of his.
The wires touch his face: I cry
NOW. Death, like a familiar, hears
And look, has made a man of dust
of a man of flesh. This sorcery
I do. Being damned, I am amused
to see the centre of love diffused
and the wave of love travel into vacancy.
How easy it is to make a ghost.
The weightless mosquito touches
her tiny shadow on the stone,
and with how like, how infinite
a lightness, man and shadow meet.
They fuse. A shadow is a man
when the mosquito death approaches

The Hippo and The Mosquito
The huge happy hippo asked his mosquito friend,
“Why must you sting when it does nothing but offend?
Your bites really hurt and then they itch for days.
Think of something new and try to change your ways.
The sweet honey bee has a stinger much like you,
But instead of causing pain, helps flowers paint a view.
Can’t you turn that stinger into a thing for good?
Please stop all the suffering and do as you should!
The munching mosquito landed on the hippo and said,
If I don’t sting every day, no doubt I’ll soon be dead.
Blood is my diet so I must sting each and every day.
I know you eat just plants, but I can’t be that way.
Hurting others is the only way that I can live.
I depend on others and the suffering that I give.
Huge hippo understood what the munching mosquito said.
Then thought to himself, “Maybe he’d be better dead! ”
Just then hip hippo had an idea for this bug.
He said, “Maybe all your poison could be made into a drug.
Snakes have used their venom to make medicines for good.
You can help all those suffering as you know you should.
If you can be like the snakes, you’ll bring happiness and bliss.
Then each hurtful, itchy bite will be like a friendly kiss.
As for your diet, if you smile and bring cheer,
Maybe, instead of blood, you’ll start to like root beer! ”

Early Dawn Along The Dumaguete Boulevard
the sea is so peaceful
like a sheet of blue linen
a boat's shadow is that gray
thing floating on a canvass of blue sea
against an indigo sky
a tall and lean figure stops to watch this view
last night this figure chased happiness
along the cemented pathways of this boulevard
he didn't catch any
not even a flirting female mosquito
