I sat like a mountain
Yesternight I sat like a mountain
wrapped in a blanket of darkness
The eye couldnot see anything
The ear could hear the sound of silence
And my head seemed to be drugged
deeply plunged in some sensation
undisturbed by the world of getting and spending
I felt a sense of totality where there were no words
When i awoke from the reverie
I learnt that I am a living entity
unlike the cot or sofa or the floor of the room
At once I was hungry
and I told myself that the room belongs to me

Good Night Old Self
unlike before,
when i unlock a door
in a house where i have lived all alone
for years
i feel like crying
hearing the sound of the living room
in the anguish of the
silence that it has never chosen
there is always the imagined sound of rain and
it is eerie
there is a spiteful
space that is always trying to strangle you
a hollow hole inside
my guts
i must have gone beyond the demarcation line
or i must have jumped that fence
having grown longer
these pair of legs that have outgrown the
looseness of corduroy pants
now it is different
i feel the content of having to accept that when i was born
i never had a twin
now the silence of this room is comforting
telling me that the crowd in fact does not serve
but chokes you as well
with whatever whims it has
what to do with my life
or where to do things the way they should be properly done
i am fed up with all these dictates of the mob
i have proclaimed that i am a different reality
in fact more beautiful than the face of the average
the many, the crowding people
as i open this door, i hear the song of my own silence
sweeter than ever
i leave my dirty shoes
take off my stinking socks
i lie my body on the soft sofa
and take my sleep
i don't even need a television to make my eyes
weary and
thus have the much needed sleep.
good night old self. I shall dream anew.

Hump
Like these pistols
And your hair hangs
Blanket over hollow mirror,
We hold black mans hands spy glass
We carefully mold like water lovers
No!!! hear (hear) you changing, and I change you, tattood forever
Make me assist her and i...
When we lay down by our favorite
Ones who scares me and who could hate her
Likes to degrade our own band aid
While we disown mother nature
No!!! hear you changing, and I change you, oh!! and you save
Me...
In my room were can dance on the floor,
In my room were can dance on my walls,
In my room were can dance on my bed...yeah
In my room were gunna dance on my....head!!!!!
No!! hear you blame me, and I blamed you, no!! hear you changed
Me...(bye? ) i!!
No!! hear you blame me, and I blamed you, no!! well you changed
Me, but I made you!!
Remember her...did (when, and, ? ) I stop!! (x6)

Empty Spaces
In a room long left vacant, he sits at the window looking out, cobwebs adorn the room like Christmas decorations. The window glass dirty from neglect.
In his reverie he hears the joy now past, sounds of fun and laughter. Long gone but not forgotten.
A movement in the corner of his eye, a glimpse of a reflection in the window pane, but he learnt long ago not to focus on them as they would vanish.
Darkness falls and the moon rises over the garden and casts it glow on her face, she has returned to him again this evening to bestow her smile on him, her lips move, no sound, but words perfect, fall upon his ears.
Without him turning she stands beside him, slips her hand in his, just to let him know.

In The Silence Of A Reverie
In the silence of a reverie,
I hear a lonesome whistle call.
The cries of someone wanting
their lover to come back home,
and the sound of anguished voices
from a battlefield far away.
In the silence of a reverie,
I hear a baby cry for its father.
A father who marched to duty
to fight a far off war
and whom will never see
another spring again.
In the silence of a reverie,
I hear the muted cries
of the wailing widows
struggling in the tears of their grief.
I see the white crosses
row upon row is silent cemeteries.
In the silence of a reverie,
I hear a future filled
with the cries of hope and understanding.
A future filled with victories
from the enemies
we hold within our minds.

Passion As Defined Inside Walls
to step upon a door
and close it
to stay inside a room
and fortify walls
to sit upon a sofa
with someone you love
to talk and talk and
then to live upon a
beautiful silence
and then be undisturbed

All Fetal.....
after i have written so much
the night will be deep and dark
and then when i go into the room
it will be so silent
that i can hear the whisking of a
bug on the floor
on the rug
and she will be soundly asleep
tightly curled
around herself
the bed is wide and the blanket is thick
the sound of the night wind is not that horrible
as i may have thought that much
the light is dim and
the room smells significantly nothing
like artificial orange or a fake
lemon
i too shall curl inside myself
cover everything in me with that separate thick blanket
and take my much needed sleep
it is a very late hour and the hands of the clock are tired
and the light will be completely turned off in such a way
that i see nothing at all
not even feeling that i have a soul
this is what we are now
all genetically
fetal.

I had been hungry all the years
I had been hungry all the years-
My noon had come, to dine-
I, trembling, drew the table near
And touched the curious wine.
'T was this on tables I had seen
When turning, hungry, lone,
I looked in windows, for the wealth
I could not hope to own.
I did not know the ample bread,
'T was so unlike the crumb
The birds and I had often shared
In Nature's dining-room.
The plenty hurt me, 't was so new,--
Myself felt ill and odd,
As berry of a mountain bush
Transplanted to the road.
Nor was I hungry; so I found
That hunger was a way
Of persons outside windows,
The entering takes away.

The Sun Sea
I see I hear its very clear
Because the day has come when you have won
Its myself I feel
She calls me calls me the sun the sea yeah
I know its not for today
Its not for today, its for you and me yeah you and me
Alone in my room youre there on the floor
Open up your eyes let me get inside
Learnt to love on tv
Learnt to love on tv
Can I help you?
Can I guide you?
It amazes me how I broke free
Then got brought back in
Cause when the feelings there shattered and scared
I know youve won goodbye Im gone
Alone in my room, youre there on the floor
Open up your eyes let me get inside
Said you learnt to come on tv then hold on to me
Can I help you? can I guide you?

Bouncin Around The Room
The woman was a dream I had
Though rather hard to keep
For when my eyes were watching hers
They closed,
And I was still asleep.
For when my hand was holding hers
She whispered words and I awoke
And faintly bouncing around the room
The echo of whomever spoke
I awoke and faintly bouncing round the room
The echo of whomever spoke.
The place I saw was far beneath
The surface of the sea
My sight was poor
But I was sure
The sirens sang their songs for me
They dance above me as I sink
I see them through a crystal haze
And hear them bouncing round the room
The never ending coral maze
That time and once again Im bouncing around the room.

The Sound Of Silence....
it speaks no words,
yet they fall on the soul..
quietly falls on the heart so heavy,
pain wrapped, the words of silence....
filth and grime,
pure and honest,
the words do a medley of sorts,
ever felt the sound of silence..
the world pulls down,
the dust seems sticking,
tears entrapped in the soul,
commotion in the worldly shows.
what's life? regret, remorse..
the dull light always burning,
resonating from inside,
try listening, the sound of silence...
the voice screams,
it brings the truth,
momentarily, the pain halts,
with the tasting of the salt.
ironical the world is,
contradiction filled...
sounds stupid, but true,
the sound of silence...
befriend silence,
redemption u find...
the lost answers,
u will find.
sound, so enthralling,
sound, so enigmatic..
yet so healing, , ,
the sound of silence..

In My Room
There's a world where I can go and tell my secrets to
In my room, in my room
In this world I lock out all my worries and my fears
In my room, in my room
Do my dreaming and my scheming
Lie awake and pray
Do my crying and my sighing
Laugh at yesterday
Now it's dark and I'm alone
But I won't be afraid
In my room, in my room
In my room, in my room
In my room, in my room

Now That You're Gone
I ain't afraid of hurt
I've had so much it feels just like normal to me now
I'm alone and I'm dancin', with you now, in your old room, in your old house
I'm alone and I'm dancin', with you now, in your old room, but there's nobody there
Now that your gone
Now that your gone for good
Everything you ever touched is undisturbed and hangs out
Like crime scene evidence undisturbed in dust
I don't dare touch anything because it's evidence of us
And it means everything
Well sort of
I'm alone and I'm dancin', with you now, in your old room, in your old house
I'm alone and I'm dancin', with you now, in your old room, but there's nobody there
Now that your gone
Now that your gone for good
I'm alone and I'm dancing with you now
In your old room but there's nobody there
Now that your gone
Now that your gone for good
Gone

Silence Is...
Silence is an absence
Silence is profound
Silence is a conversation
Being had without sound
Silence is an expression
One that cannot be heard
Silence cannot be spoken
Although it is a word
Silence is a presence
Of great nothingness
Silence can be something
And yet cease to exist
Silence can fill a room
And have no mass at all
Silence cannot be dropped, yet it can fall
Silence is a mystery
That will forever go unsolved
Silence is how every sound can swiftly be dissolved
Silence is the sound of rest
The only sound that can sound best
While other sounds can cause great pain
Silence is not the sound to blame
For Silence is what silence is
Something that is nothing
Nothing that exists

The White Room
(SpringfieldVallance)
I can see her at her windows watching,
locked away inside her skin,
I can see her but I can't get to her, she won't come out,
and she won't let me into
The white room (she's living in)
Lying alone til she comes undone
In the white room, she burns for the real thing.
But it won't come.
In her head is the same obsession
and all the bottles and pills won't heal her heart.
She heard his last confession
and every word just tears her apart
In the white room (locked away)
doing time till her time is done
In the white room there's so much to say
but the words won't come.
Come back to the land of the living,
when you gonna break the chain,
there's so much too much that you're leaving
and you're never gonna stop the rain
In the white room.
waiting for the call that never comes
in the white room, she awaits.
Look at something long enough you'll find,
that the splinters and the cracks begin to show,
I'll be the first in line when the walls start falling
and she lets go of
The white room (it's late)
living alone only makes you numb
In the white room she burns for the real thing
but it won't come
In the white room (she's living in) I think its time
that you're time is done,
In the white room she burns
In the white room (it's late)
lying alone till she comes undone
In the white room she awaits
In the white room

Face On The Cutting Room Floor
Shes history
No one would give her a star on the walk
Shed have a hundred if pillows could talk
Where have I seen her before?
Shes the face on the cutting room floor
Its no mystery
Acting in school at the tenderest age
Lit up the room when she stepped on the stage
Came to la for some more
Shes the face on the cutting room floor
She had visions of contracts
And thousands of people in line
To see her;
Knocking on door after door after all of this time,
Now shes not sure
Up in hollywood
Stayed with an agent she met in a bar
Laughed when he told her hed make her a star
Where has she heard that before?
Shes the face on the cutting room floor
One night he told her that shed never get anywhere
In her clothes
Thats what it takes to play movieland musical chairs
Now she knows
Goodbye hollywood
Leaving tonight on the 2:30 hound
Sunrise or sunset she wont be around
But theyll replace her with so many more
Shes the face on the cutting room floor
Poor little face on the cutting room floor

Fogging Up The Windows
the sound of a small child crying
hungry in the night
of a young woman sleepless
waiting for daylight
the sound of church bells ringing
not too far away
the sound of an old man dying
remembering how to pray
the sound of two hearts breaking
a thousand miles apart
of the last tear a fallin'
unseen in the dark
the sound of lifetimes wasted
of a love that didnt last
the sound of memories forgotten
of a time already past
can you hear?
can you hear?
a lone tree a fallin'
a hoot owl callin'
life and death, a lover's breath
fogging up the windows
of an empty room...
fogging up the windows
of an empty room...
the sound of the nails driven
into His screaming hands
the sound of salvation
entrusted to a man
the sound of bodies falling
of buildings swept by flame
the sound of different voices
whose souls are the same
can you hear?
can you hear?
a lone tree a fallin'
a hoot owl callin'
life and death, a lover's breath
fogging up the windows
of an empty room...
fogging up the windows
of an empty room....

Dog Trap
s/he got a new dog &
like many dogs before it,
it shed & it jumped up on the
sofa, the comfy chair in the
living room, etc.-
in regards to the prior dogs in
her/his life, s/he had
"suffered" the hair deposits,
the smell of dog, be it dry or
wet, and the rest of the
litany of petty problems
which dog owners will claim
when going to great lengths
to tame & beat their happy dog
into submission-
one day,
s/he came up with an idea
as to how to get the dog off the
chair & the sofa-
s/he got up early in the morning,
wrapped the chair in a sheet &
then subsequently wrapped that
sheet in electrical tape, masking
tape &
that really sticky gray duct tape,
all with the adhesive side facing up-
after the chair was engulfed in tape,
s/he left the house &
went to work.
low & behold,
when the once-frustrated dog owner
returned to her/his abode that evening,
there was a whimper coming from the
living room-
the dog, a shaggy dog whose resemblance
to a frayed towel
was uncanny,
had gotten itself stuck on the tape &
the pulling of its hair in the attempt to escape
the tape-engulfed chair,
was too much for the poor dog,
who had been undergoing the pain for
who knows how long-
the satisfied owner
talked conceitedly to the dog,
asking it what the problem was
(as if the poor dog had any idea what
this horrible human was babbling) &
then got down on her/his knees to
help the dog from the trap that had
worked out just the way the owner
suspected that it would,
because the dog never set foot on the
chair or the sofa again.
