World Poetry Day Poem on ‘Appreciation
Appreciate your employees,
And recognize their achievements;
Reward them for their good work done;
Award them too if they deserve.
Employee-friendliness works well;
Kind words of enquiry are good;
Make them feel happy in work-place;
Be courteous, acknowledge their feats.
Give incentives for special jobs;
Don't punish them unduly oft;
Point out their fallacies with care;
Let them not feel guilty and bad.
Employees need a humane touch;
Their welfare must be addressed too;
Rules need not be used like a whip;
Be logical when finding faults.
Employees are wealth in disguise;
Experience can't come overnight;
Avoid unruly talks that hurt;
Appreciate, appreciate!
Employees mustn't feel unwanted;
Each one has given his/her mite;
Each one's potential must be tapped;
Each one needs appreciation most;
Appreciate, appreciate!

Sonnet: Boss’ Day (Oct.16)
Some bosses do not know what fairness is!
Some bosses want to be corrupt in life;
Some bosses work endlessly without bliss;
Some bosses cut their employees like knife!
Some bosses do not want to be honest;
Some bosses talk but do opposite things;
Some bosses do not want workers to rest;
Some bosses live a lazy life like kings!
Good bosses are good administrators;
Good bosses think of employees’ welfare;
Good bosses are not liars / orators;
Good bosses serve their employees and share.
What sort of boss do you prefer to be?
A boss must live a life exemplary!
Dedicated to all bosses world-o'er

Responsibility In The Workforce
What is the work ethic
of Japanese
white-collar employees?
there are three
important components
to the work ethic
loyalty to company
a commitment to quality
peer group bonding
What do the Japanese
feel about their co-workers
and their company?
the Japanese feel
great responsibility
toward company
and co-workers
What moral attitude
are Japanese
employees taught?
Japanese employees
are taught a moral
to work in groups
to think of themselves
as part of a family
What is the Japanese
attitude to failure
in the workforce?
the white-collar executive
is extremely diligent
knowing that failure
or any errors affects
other fellow employees
What is the Japanese
attitude to sharing
profit in the workforce?
all rewards
are group oriented
which places
greater responsibility
on individual
performance.
What is the foundation
of modern business
relationships in Japan?
to develop to maintain
long-term relationships
within one's peer group
is the company goal
this system creates
social professional
networks representing
spiritual foundation in
business relationships
What is the Japanese
attitude to quality
in the workforce?
a Japanese commitment
to quality has rightfully
earned Japanese products
an esteemed reputation
How do Japanese workers
support the continued success
of the company they work for?
Japanese employees put
their best efforts into the
success of their company
Japanese employees give
a wholehearted allegiance
to employer and company
company family are inseparable
within harmony of group society
What is the future of Japanese technology?
All systems are on line and operational.

About the good people
He was merciless with his employees
And lavish with well wishers.
He was lowly with the employees
And kingly with his family.
He could earn a name for himself.

From the employees' standpoint, in 1935, Social Security was a big gamble. Employees would be required to participate in the program, contributing a percentage of their income for their entire adult working life.

Workers’ Lamentations
This place isn’t thrilling anymore!
There is no fun or work to do;
Most things in shambles lie for long;
There is no soul who bothers much.
Corruption rules the roost to core;
The honest workers are ignored;
The lazy ones are most favored;
The sincere ones are shown the door!
The patients’ numbers keep dwindling;
New doctors are not attracted;
Touts direct patients to clinics-
The Management is well aware!
The contract system works too well;
Poor employees are temporary;
A kind of cheating continues;
They call it ‘ADMINISTRATION’!
A lot of trees have been cut down;
The place is not getting good rains;
The Cauvery-water is off;
The current-cuts are frequent now.
Some quarters are in ruins too;
Private-roads are not laid within;
The changing bosses do nothing,
Each one retiring without blame!
There is no one to ‘bell the cat’!
No one cares to revamp the place;
It is no doubt a beauteous one;
The glory seems to fade with time.
A sorry state of things, Alas!
No one is dedicated much;
The place has lost its magic-touch;
They do not give you a bus-pass!
But students do read well o’er here,
Although the faculty is less;
May be, some kind of curse is on;
May be, God’s rod is upon all!
The righteous workers are scapegoats;
Luck favors dishonest doctors;
I see no clouds of changes now;
A desert-like, place looks somehow!

Dignity
Dignity is what we want,
As human beings on this earth;
Dignity is what we can’t,
Give up anyway since birth.
Dignity is innate right,
God has bestowed man, He made;
Dignity is cause to fight
When employees get under-paid.
Dignity, all need always
At home, at school and one’s work-place;
Dignity for human race,
Men must guarantee all days.
Dignity in livelihood,
Receive should all citizens;
Dignity in dying too,
World must assure everyone.
Dignity is what we need
In life on earth and when we die;
Dignity is good indeed
For creatures born under the sky.
Dignity for man and beast
Is a must for all, west / east;
Dignity for anyone
Shouldn’t be denied, any time!

Stop & Shop
There are people I see...
But I don't know them personally.
Yet I can truthfully say,
I've come to respect them highly.
They may be folks who work,
At stores I go.
To purchase items,
Where I stop to shop.
In unique and personable environments...
I've come to like a lot.
Friendships I've developed,
I did not expect.
As I spend a few dollars...
Sharing and gaining respect.
And there is one place I travel,
In Bloomfield, Connecticut.
Intending but forgetting...
What I've come to get.
Some places attract,
Because the service and employees...
Are just charismatic.
Dedicated To:
Those sometimes humorous,
Friendly and always respectful employees.
At the Stop & Shop in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
I think you all are terrific.

Sonnet: Change Does Come
The time has come for things to change again;
Solutions to old problems spring anew;
The summer’s heat is followed by much rain;
The trouble-makers are now just a few!
Reprieve is due after a spell of gloom;
Mellowed are many when old-aged and grey;
The corrupt will no longer have more room;
All employees are due for rise of pay.
The righteous hope to see some better times;
The tricksters feel their game has concluded;
God ushers seasons marking changing climes;
There is no place for masks and things hooded!
The wheel of time does turn definitely;
Good times will come for upright souls surely.

Sonnet: Our Institution- a Poet’s Desire
How nice if this place wonderful could turn,
Into a haven and Heaven to all!
Its employees in unison could call,
‘We will toil, ’ ‘the mid-night oil, we will burn! ’
How nice if people give up corruption,
At every level in the family;
And work better with greater harmony,
Forget the past; have rededication.
How nice if management should realize
Staff, students, patients’ welfare- it’s secret;
That, doctors, nurses are not as bad as yet,
There’s still hope but ’tis not a game of dice.
Let bad influences vanish from the scene,
And Labor/ Love/ Justice be our new Dean!

Starbucks Lake Worth
Starbucks Lake Worth has unique employees working there,
here is a poem about them which I wrote to share.
Jessica is a Miami Dolphins cheerleader knows my drink,
she has it ready before it is rung in.
Nicole wears a red bracelet for good luck,
she works with Chris the morning shift, please tip them a buck.
Ivan and Ian are fraternal twins, Ian doesn’t work there but he fits in.
Mia was sweet- she gave me a free coffee as a treat.
There’s younger Taylor kind of shy, she goes to school I think part time.
Brittany with hair that’s blonde, Rachael & Ashley also have hair long.
Rachel is pregnant son born this year, Oliver Tanner Robert so dear.
Rachel had her birthday the other day, sky was sunny not cold and grey.
Elexie works night shift with black dark hair, she is sweet and cares.
Weekends Luke is on staff, he has a fun time he makes you laugh.
The employees at Starbucks are friendly and will say hello,
stop by Starbucks and buy delicious coffee on the go.

The Man Of Maddness
The man of madness
How can I describe the craziness
Forgetting his wallet on his back seat
Screaming at some lady cause they double charged him for his coffee
Keeping every single receipt
Penny pinching with deceit
Paying his employees
What he wants
When he wants
The American forced into slavery
Good honest jobs are just so hard to find
Whistle blowers aren't treated to kind
Top dollar is a figment of the mind
Faster faster
Do you jump while being held at finance gunpoint
Do you say I won't and ask for a raise
Or to be paid legally as you are.
Robbing from the taxes of the already poor
7.25 over, and 2.75 under.
Never truly work enough to collect unemployment
Hes a.d.d. and has very little routine
All I want to do is scream.
So many holes he slivers through
Money laundering in Florida.
Just get them to write the check out to you
Have your mother cash it.
Yeah that will do.
Yeah the IRS has no clue.
For they have already audited you
Squeaky clean so it seems.
Never repair or fix any equipment.
Just so rigged, its just your employees after all.
No lunch or 15 minute breaks
Lovely are the 14 hour days
No time and half
all extra hours will be banked for the week in which need
This is my boss
This is my job
This is what pays my bill
No thrills in the thought of this
For it makes me ill
Here just give me that pill
All the insanity will be healed
