Tibet- A Lost Land and People
They want to live in peace,
The people of the ‘Roof of th’ world’;
They want to sleep in Nature’s lap,
But cannot do with ease!
A Buddhist country wedged between
World’s two most-populous nations;
Twelve thousand feet high MSL;
A culture most unique.
The Chinese eyes were on Tibet,
They’d eyed the plateau high;
The Dalai Lama- their leader
Is in exile in India.
One thirty-thousand refugees,
Are mostly in India;
They want Tibet’s independence,
But China won’t accede.
Oh, what a sorry tale to hear!
Their land is long denied;
A mountain terrain, beautiful
Their home is ‘Land of snows! ’
They wish to rid their Chinese yoke;
But China won’t give in;
And proud about His Holiness,
The Lama who can’t sleep!
The Chinese invaded Tibet
And will not simply leave;
They’ve put their own people in here;
While Tibetans have fled.
Why China with her vast terrain
Should seize the mountain-land?
-Denuding forests of its trees,
And planting own settlers!
Monks or nuns, none are spared;
Thousands have just been killed;
And many more have spent their lives,
Tortured life-long in jails!
The people of Tibet are strong
With spirit not weakened;
They hope the Chinese will relent-
Return their land to them.
Can not the UN solve this case?
They’ve passed resolutions;
But nothing more is being done.
As selfishness, still rules.
Most Tibetans have little choice;
‘They are a dying race’!
Their pleas and protests go awaste;
Won’t someone fight their case?

Tibet
Tibet..
All reflected glories some are china come against Japan. China grasping greed as pick up Tibet for long and till now is law.
Venal official claim their own country lands.
China value china olden lands the fishing island which stand near the seas of Japan..
China says they own the fishing island.
Fishing island has change of owner countries for several times. Ok logically pick up fishing island regain their china lands.
Fishing islands back to china all as china grasping greed.
There are sin and china capture Tibet from DALA LAMA.
DALA LAMA and his precedents own and charge Tibet at the older next turns.
Now china arms are strong and all their policies may drum at the worlds but first is Japan which is this chesses and capturing cards.
One should love their country soils but fair for other countries.
Free the Tibet.
Free the Tibet before picking up fishing island and Japan seas that flowed near.
China deaden sounds are gongs and drums.
Get into deathful ends are creepy ways.
China matches are long are sad.
Only saints should lives every more.
China sins are then sinning.
Polar moods are wars are killing forces.
Give the Tibet back to old Tibet leaders all are rights.

Underhand Han Hand
For fifty years Han hand has lain
heavy on Lhasa's mountain land,
acting in manner underhand
on peaceful population. Pain
and persecution, thousands slain
on whim, as Chinese thugs expand,
manhandle monasteries, demand
obedience to illegal reign -
discrimination's bridle rein
with basic human freedoms banned,
protests punished out of hand.
Upon collective conscience: Stain!
The Dalai Lama's aging fast
who'll liberate Tibet at last?

What the Dalai Lama had to resolve was whether to stay in Tibet or leave. He wanted to stay, but staying would have meant the total destruction of Tibet, because he would have died and that would have ripped the heart out of his people.

Veto-powered Membership in UNO
Some bigoted leaders heading some nations
sent shipments of arms to kill civilian Tamils
in the war-torn SriLanka ruled by inhuman Buddhists.
The Tamils are locked in a three-decades-war
with the brutal Sinhalese to free their Eelam soil.
Lakhs of Tamils were bombed en masse, and burnt alive.
Sites of mass-burials are strewn with corpses over.
The women and girls were raped, butchered and left to rot.
The Tibet-occupier China has supplied a chemical to Lanka
to hasten the decay of the fossils of the dead.
What is done in Tibet to capture the land
was carried out in a short time in Lanka.
Does Buddha, the God of the poor-folk, revel to see,
one-lakh war-widows in the Eelam land of Tamils?
Is the veto-powered membership of China in UNO
to annihilate the weaker races and nations?

Outrage!
let me see if i understand this...
you go to 'liberate' Vietnam,
at the cost of thousands of lives...
you invade Iraq, and their fake WMD's.
you go to battle in Afghanistan,
using terrorisn for an excuse...
but you cant and wont
lift a damn finger to help
the people of Tibet...
a nonviolent people,
being abused, ravaged, raped,
and killed by The Chinese government...
who's sleeping with who?
and who do you think you're fooling?

The Dalai Lama Who Loved Wine, Women and Song
Here the May lilacs blossom in the garden
Their fragrance sprawls in the air of spring.
Yet my mind drifts on wings of a daydream
To a far away land of peach-treed valleys
Embraced by snow-capped mountains.
One night there on the Roof of the Earth
A young man in the holy city of Lhasa
Listened to the chanting of mantras
Not for the sake of enlightenment
But in order to sense her breath.
That month he span all the pray wheels
Not for the sake of freeing his soul
But in order to touch her finger prints.
That year he prostrated on the ground
With his hands clasping the earth
Not for the sake of adoring Buddha
But in order to sense her warmth.
That incarnation he crossed green forests
He passed through farmlands and deserts
He climbed a hundred thousand mountains
Not for the sake of afterlife
But in order to meet her on the road.
Who was this young man?
Descending from the Monpa Tribe
He was born in 1683 at Urgelling
In the Monastery near Tawang in India.
His parents gave him the name
Losang Rigdzin Tsangyang Gyatso
In the Tibetan language it means
Ocean of Melodious Songs.
His trunk of life was cut short though
Just a child yet and he became
Like an uncrowned king in the land
And even so he remained modest
Humble and unassuming.
He traveled about on foot
He kept no personal servants
He brewed his own tea
And served his guests himself.
And he wrote magnificent poems
They are still loved and revered
And sung throughout Tibet and China.
He loved women, friends and wine
Although he was chosen as His Holiness
The Sixth Dalai Lama of Tibet!
But he had no plans to accept the role
Renounced the vows of a novice monk
And then asked the forgiveness
Of the Panchen Lama
For refusing to accept the duties
Of full ordination.
He had rather lived his life
As a rake and stud.
He gambled and practiced archery
Grew a long hair embellished with jewels
Called himself the Turquoise Bee
Acting as a playboy and dressing as a layman
A gadabout debaucher in blue silk brocade.
He roamed through the countryside
Reveling with his friends
In the parks in daylight
And then spent the dark hours
In the taverns of Shol-town.
Drinking barley beer stuffed in bamboo barrels
Or enjoying the intoxicating rice chang
White and sweet and pungent in taste.
He had 'never slept a night
Without a sweetheart'
He wrote in one of his love poems
To the indignation of the opulent Potala palace
As servants traced back his footprints
In the fresh snow leading to the brothels.
However, the Dalai Lama had a broken heart
He wanted to wed his beloved lady
The sweetheart who truly loved him
But she “has been stolen to wed another”
And he became sick with hankering sorrow.
That night in the holy city of Lhasa
He listened to the chanting of the mantras
Not for the sake of enlightenment
But in order to sense her breath.
That month he span all the pray wheels
Not for the sake of freeing his soul
But in order to touch her finger prints.
That year he prostrated on the earth
With his hands clasping the soil
Not for the sake of adoring Buddha
But in order to sense her warmth.
That incarnation he crossed green forests
He passed through farmlands and deserts
He climbed a hundred thousand mountains
Not for the sake of afterlife
But in order to meet her on the road.
Then turbulence shook the Roof of the World
It was now the fragile year of 1706
And a Mongol army invaded Tibet
Their leader Lhasang Khan did not believe
That the Dalai Lama was the real one
And he wanted to depose him.
A foreign army besieged Lhasa
And Lhasang Khan ordered the Dalai Lama
To relocate at the Mongol military camp
In Lhalu Garden.
Soon afterwards, on June 27,1706,
The Mongol warlord ousted
The Head of Tibetan Buddhism.
And since the Chinese Emperor Kangxi
Approved it the Mongols took the Dalai Lama
On a journey to the east to banish him
To the imperial court
Of the Manchu-led Qing Dynasty in Beijing.
It was a long voyage, joyless and exhausting
Escorted by a group of Mongolian soldiers
In the fall of 1706 he reached Gunga-Nor Lake
On the road to the Chinese capital.
However, the Dalai Lama did not want
To spend the rest of his life in humiliating exile
And on the night of November 14,1706
He escaped under the veil of darkness.
A Mongol sentry noticed the fleeing figure
And placed a fir arrow on his birch bow.
The archer aimed his weapon
At the running target, he drew the curved bow
Gripping the string
Between his horn-ringed thumb and index finger
Until his left arm was fully extended
And then released the metal-bladed projectile.
The arrow took to the air
With a sharp snapping sound.
A moving shadow emitted
A subdued moan of pain
But vanished away
On the nightly lake shore.
White crane, lend me your wings
I go no further than Lithang
And thence, return again.
While in Mongol captivity
At Lithang Monastery in Kham
Tsangyang Gyato, the Sixth Dalai Lama
Predicted his own rebirth.
In 1708, two years after his disappearance
The Seventh Dalai Lama, Kelsang Gyatso
Was born in Lithang in Kham.

In A Far Away Land
In A Far Away Land, a song written by Luo Bin Wang, is sung, by John, in 1994 Australia concert. The visual footage is availabele on the John Denver "VIDEOKE" available only in Japan. Audio is available on Calypso Collection of The John Denver Collection, 1997 release by LaserLight Digital.
This song is a tradition Chinese folk song, written by Luo Bin Wang, who spent over the last 40+ years of his life studying the songs and lifestyles of the peoples in the Qing Hai area of China, an area that is similar to PrairieLands and GrassLands, where the Zhang people live a nomadic life, raising such livestock as goats and sheep.
Luo Bin Wang is considered the King of Chinese Folk/Country songs. He wrote over 100 songs. He has helped to preserve and to promote a very special part of China's social culture, and is regarded highly in China. Luo Bin Wang died in the late 1980's, but his music still lives, today.
There appear to be many more stanzas to this song, although John only sings one. In addition, the song seems to be well-known to the Chinese people, and, John's rendition appears to be somewhat humorous.
Courtesy extended to Rick Li Bao, for helping me with John's singing of this song, and for the historical perspective. If we have not done this song its due justice, please email us with any helpful modifications. Thanks.
There is a nice, pretty girl, in a far away land.
When people pass by her tent, they always stop and take a double-glimpse
(People said that she always keeps a lamb beside her)
I wish I can be a young lamb, running towards you, until I am by your side
I wish her narrow quirt always whips me gently
I wish I can be a young lamb, running towards you, until I am by your side
I wish her narrow quirt always whips me gently
I wish I can be a young lamb, running towards you, until I am by your side
I wish her narrow quirt always whips me gently

I Hear The Cry
i hear the cry....
oppression, enslavement,
beatings, torture, rapes,
and killings.
people of heart,
slaughtered like sheep.
monks self-immoliating,
crying out for justice,
and freedom,
for basic human dignity,
for basic human rights...
i hear the cry...
of Tibet on fire.
and am ashamed
to be part of a world
turned blind and deaf!

Living In China
They got the red book, they got the new look
All the little people that are living in china
They got the answers to all the questions
All the little people that are living in china
The solution is revolution
For all of the little people that are living in china
They got ping pong egg foo yung
For all the little people that are living in china
What would chairman mao say, if he knew what theyre doing to his wife today
What did china do? she ordered out for submarines instead of chinese food
China fields of rice, modern man no longer evil hes a paradise
What did the chairman want?
A great big wall they could all watch orientals on
They got the red book, they got the new look
The little people that are living in china
They got the answers to all the questions
The little people that are living in china
The solution is revolution
For all the little people that are living in china
They got ping pong egg foo yung
All the little people that are living in china
What would chairman mao say
If he knew what his people think of him today
Revolution is out of hand
The gang of four, trying to make it as a western band
China, what do you need
Youve got everything from your scruffy head to dirty feet
China you want to dance
Youre wearing makeup and listening to adam and the ants
They got the new look, they got the red book,
All the little people that are living in china
They got the answers to all the questions
All the little people that are living in china
The solution is revolution
For all the little people that are living in china
They got ping pong egg foo yung
The little people that are living in china
The solution is revolution
They got the answers to all the questions
All the little people that are living in china
China, living in china
China, living in china
China, living in china

China Town Work Ethic
China Town has many more business's I do say
because hard working Chinese people made it that way.
Having a good work ethic that made America strong
Chinese Americans work their business hours extra long.
Now I do patronize a Chinese Health food store
I bought herbs there and they gave me health advice galore.
So Thank the Chinese people for bringing customs and expertise
for they too have right to live the American dream.

Whose Country Is This?
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of snakes;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of many waters;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of thieves! !
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of people;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of oil;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of earthquakes!
Whose country is this?
it is a land full of lovers;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of volcanoes!
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of beautiful flowers;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of hansome men;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of beautiful women;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of roses;
Whose country is this?
it is a land ruled only by men;
Whose country is this?
It is a land without rainfall;
Whose country is this?
It is a land ruled by a woman;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of corruption!
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of pirates! !
Whose country is this?
It is a land ruled by law;
Whose country is this?
It is a land controlled by rebels!
Whose country is this?

It is a land full of the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah!
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of singers;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of troubles;

It is a land full of war! !
Whose country is this?
It is a land with the biggest cemetery in the wolrd!
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of desert;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of trees;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of pregnant teenagers!
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of timber;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of hatred;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of love;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of care;

It is a land full of harlots;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of wise people;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of idiots!
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of gold;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of cocoa;
Whose country is this?
It is a alnd full of crabs;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of evil;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of rainfalls;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of ants;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of horses;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of pigs;
Whose country is this?
It is a land full of statues;
Whose country is this?
it is a land full of birds;
And so on, and so forth!
Because nature had made them so as we see them around us,
But the wise and fool live together on this earth.

Truthful
I met a truthful man from Tibet
Who found the world to be a null set
And laughed at the world and its love for death
He vanished into laughter
That cried-Was there anything called life
Was Tibet ever alive
So that it might die of cholera
Or of an attack of heat wafted from Amudaria

Up Er Mei
Notes:
Jt on sony.com: er mei is a mountain in china (sechuan province). before the cultural revolution there were maybe 100 buddhist shrines, temples, etc. on the way to the summit which usually pokes
Ugh the clouds like an island in the sea.
Sally and I went there to meet ben in 93 (he was traveling out of tibet). it took three days to climb the many miles of stone steps carved centuries ago into the living rock of the mountain. at
Time, I might as well have been on the stairmaster at jack lalane on broadway and 76th.
We were walking in paradise
Never did notice
Blind in the buddha land
Looking for solace
We had been told of a place
Far beyond this vale of tears
We could never have guessed
We were already blessed
There we were, where we are
In the garden
Didnt we climb on up er mei
Temple to temple
Yes and all and all along the way
The day was simple
Didnt we reach the top
Didnt we gain our goal
Did we finally stop
Surprised by the cold
We were walking in paradise
Never did tumble
Blind in the buddha land
Looking for trouble
We had been told of a place
Far beyond this vale of tears
We could never have guessed
We were already blessed
There we were, where we are
In the garden

China and India are close neighbours linked by mountains and rivers and the Chinese and Indian peoples have enjoyed friendly exchanges for thousands of years.
Warakurna
There is enough for everyone
In redfern as there is in alice
This is not the buckingham palace
This the crown land
This is the brown land
This is not our land
Some folks live in water tanks
Some folks live in red brick flats
There is enough, the law is carved in granite
Its been shaped by wind and rain
White law could be wrong
Black law could be strong
Warakurna, cars will roll
Dont drink by the water hole
Court fines on the shopfront wall
Beat the grog and save your soul
Some people laugh, some never learn
This land must change or land must burn
Some people sleep, some people yearn
This land must change or land must burn
Diesel and dust is what we breathe
This land dont change and we dont leave
Some people live, some never die
This land dont change this land must lie
Some people leave, always return
This land must change or land must burn
Warakurna, camels roam
Fires are warm and dogs are cold
Not since lassiter was here
Black mans got a lot to fear
Some people laugh, some never learn
This land must change or land must burn
Some people leave, always return
This land must change or land must burn

Come Home My Son, Come Home
As I travel across this country
the land that I love best
with its snowy peaked mountains
that lay out of reach in the west.
The rivers and the lakes
where nature grows at its best.
The forests and the plains
that each has their part
in the land I love the best.
I write from a distant shore
with dreams of coming home again
ever always on my mind.
Seeing once again friends
from a long, long time ago.
The land that I live in is not to my desire.
My home is ten thousand miles away,
and each time I see it,
it’s like the birth of a new day.
The cities are filled with people
and in the countryside; you can breathe in the fresh air.
The more I dream about it,
the more I wish to be there.
It is not the land of my birth,
but the place that I call home.
That distant country keeps calling to me
come home my son, come home.
