Story of Christmas in Verse

Two thousand years ago on earth,
God’s love was born in baby form
By Bethlehem town’s boy king’s birth,
In freezing cold of stable warm!

A virgin turned Mother of God –
The Holy Spirit’s miracle!
The boy was King, Redeemer, Lord;
He talked to all by parable.

God’s son had chosen poverty;
The news was told to shepherds first;
Sinners could get eternity,
If they were sorry, took to Christ.

Divine love fleshed in Mary’s womb!
The man named Jesus would be great;
Death could not lock him in a tomb;
He was satan’s final defeat!

The sinless man grew up all wise;
He learnt the Scripture’s words by heart,
And took Pharisees by surprise,
From tender age, right from the start!

God loved His only Son begot;
The Son obeyed His Father’s word;
Both peace and joy on earth, He brought;
He was the Good Shepherd and Lord!
‘Merry Christmas to all on earth! ’

X'mas 2011

This winter’s cold’s much more than we can bear;
Yet, Christ was born in freezing cold, they say!
In house comfortable, we live and fare;
There was no room in inn for Christ that day!

Yet, He was born as Immanuel today!
He brought both joy and peace to men on earth;
The Son of God for pillow had just hay!
In manger poor, babe Jesus had his birth!

God flashed the news to shepherds warming near;
They walked at once to see their new-born King;
What Magi told had filled Herod with fear,
As Star of Bethlehem showed way to Him.

The Savior King was born in poverty;
The Word got flesh in Mary’s womb this day;
It happened as per Scripture’s prophecy!
Christ came for sinners’ sake on Christmas Day!

Christmas 2007 Song – 6

God Father had his only Son,
By Holy Spirit’s pow’r be born
Of Virgin Mary Mother blest,
In Bethlehem’s manger in West.

The Son of God had not ev’n place,
For being born on earth’s vast face;
His humble birth reminds mankind
That poverty, Jesus didn’t mind.

And yet, it was a special day,
As Bethlehem’s Star showed the way
To shepherds sitting ‘round a fire,
By message-song from Angels’ lyre!

The frightened shepherds rushed to see
‘Emmanuel’ new-born male baby;
The King of kings and Lord of lords
Was born as per the Scripture’s words.

And thus, there dawned both joy and peace
As God had sent His Son sans fees,
As Saviour of humanity,
And granted all Eternity!

Oh, what a wonderful gift, God
Of love, mercy and fairest rod!
Now sinners too can gain heaven,
When all their sins are forgiven!

X’mas

Born was a child in a manger;
Born was the son of God, the Father;
Born was the love of the Maker;
Born was for men, a Redeemer.

Born was a baby boy, a king;
Born was on earth a prophet great;
Born was the love of God in human form;
Born was a Messiah.

Born was a son of a carpenter;
Born was the king of Jews;
Born was the living God as flesh;
Born was a Savior.

Born was a babe, who brought,
Joy and peace to the world;
Born was a babe on a bed of hay,
As angels choirs kept singing on.

Born was the spotless Lamb of God
Who was to die on the cross;
Born was a divine child,
From the Virgin Mary’s womb!

Born was Lord Jesus Christ,
Who paid the price for our sins,
And by His death and resurrection,
Made it possible for sinners too,
To go to Heaven.

God’s Love is Christmas

The love of God was born on Christmas Day,
As baby Jesus slept upon the hay,
With Star of Bethlehem showing the way,
To Magi, who worshipped him, as he lay!

The love of God was showered upon earth,
As Virgin Mother Mary gave this birth,
And bestowed upon mankind immense mirth,
As living life on earth got back its worth!

God Himself came to earth as baby boy,
And brought the peace and everlasting joy,
Through His one Son, the King of kings and Lord,
As sins were forgiven including rod.

The love that entered earth from God’s own heart,
Took human form to live in poverty,
And gave the world new hope and destiny –
Unraveled mystery great on God’s part.

The God of love showed love unfathomed yet;
For man, His most beloved of all creatures;
And opened heaven to all, new trend-set,
As souls of mankind went into raptures!

O Emmanuel, the world welcomes You, Lord;
O Messiah, the world accepts You, God.
No death or tribulations matter now,
As mankind pledges its obeisance, love!

Thus, Christmas Day is all about God’s love,
Uniquely unsurpassed and rather rare,
And gave the Holy Cross for Son to bear,
Redeeming sinners, sending His peace-dove.

Christmas 2011

There’s no room in the inn tonight!
But Mary needs some place;
’Tis time for Jesus to be born;
Joseph wears vexed a face!

And Lo! They get the stable just;
The hay becomes the bed,
Where baby Jesus born is placed,
Swaddled in clothes to head!

An angel choir then brings shepherds,
Who sat around a fire;
With trumpets’ sound, good news is told,
With words played on lyre!

The Star of Bethlehem then stops,
Atop the inn for Kings;
Three Magi enter to worship
Boy Christ, the ‘King of Kings! ’

The Son of God is become flesh
In Mary’s womb on earth;
The love of God is born a man:
Emmanuel brings earth, mirth!

On Christmas Day, a Savior’s born,
In pitiable, a state;
He came to earth to save sinners,
And take to Heaven’s gate!

‘Happy Birthday’, Mother Mary!

8th September – your birthday,
O Queen of heaven, all say;
The grace that filled your heart, aye,
Gave us and world, a mighty day.

O Maria Bambina!
Daughter of Joachim and Anne;
You acceded to God’s request
Through angel Gabriel.

You grew up in great piety;
God chose you from amongst women –
A virgin to mother a child,
A baby boy, Immanuel!

By pow’r of Spirit Holy,
You bore the sacred baby,
In your womb of sanctity,
O Mother Virgin Mary.

Hail Mary, Mother of Jesus;
Heavenly mother of mankind;
Look down with mercy upon us,
Ask God to cleanse our sin-stained souls!

O New Eve of the world of men!
The Word became flesh in your womb,
And born was the Lord, ‘King of Kings’:
You trounced Satan forever then.

Conceived without Original Sin,
Becoming Mother of God;
You set aside all Natural laws,
And gave birth to the Lord.

You brought Salvation to mankind
Through Jesus Christ your son,
Who came as Savior, Messiah,
And suffered a death on cross!

O Lady of great chastity!
You obeyed Almighty’s one wish;
Exalted more than angels, saints,
Heaven is now your true abode.

O perfect vessel made by God!
Afilled by grace up to the brim;
The most blessed among women,
Our Intercessor, Pure of heart.

O Mary most immaculate,
Assumed into heaven by God;
Do pray for us sinners on earth
And protect souls from fire of hell.

The Meaning of Christmas

The greatest gift of God to man is Christ!
The love for creature man that God displayed;
Born in a manger of Virgin Mary,
By the power of the Holy Spirit,
To redeem mankind from the wages of sin,
So that, ev’n sinners can go to Heaven.

The birth of baby Jesus is Christmas.
Heaven and earth rejoiced when he arrived;
“He would be named Emmanuel! ” said God.
And grow up wise with knowledge of scriptures;
And suffer for no sin or faults of his;
But die by crucifixion at young age,
Resurrect on third day, defeating death!

His sacred blood-shed wipes out any sin;
All sins confessed are forgiven by God;
He would die for all mankind, present, past;
He brought both peace and joy to life on earth;
He was a Prophet, miracle-worker;
He was God’s son in whom God was well pleased!

Christmas gave new hope to human beings;
God could forgive all mortal sins of man;
Hell was for devils; not for every man;
All those who repented would see God’s face;
Jesus was Messiah, God’s begotten son;
God so loved the world, He gave his one son!

Christmas is in giving;
Christmas is in sharing;
Christmas is in loving;
Christmas is in caring;
Christmas is in humbling;
Christmas is in suffering
For others, for Christ’s sake!

Christmas is in repenting;
Christmas is in praying;
Christmas is in forgiving;
Christmas is in keeping
Our souls sinless and pure;
Christmas is in bringing
Back Christ into our hearts!

God’s Christmas Gift To Man!

God’s lovely gift
of love for man
was, being born
a child Himself,
named Emmanuel
(That’s ‘God with us’)

on Christmas Day’s
cold wintry night,
in manger at
Bethlehem town!

As angels flashed
The news around
To shepherds near,
Who heard in fear,

And three Magi
From East too came,
Brought by the Star
Of Bethlehem!

'And born was joy,
A baby boy;
Who brought us peace
To live in ease.'

The King of kings
And Lord of lords
Would die on cross
For mankind’s sins,
Creation since,

And pay the price
For all on earth,
Though sinners be
To reach heaven!

What love supreme
Then God showed man,
Of all creatures
He’d made with love!

Our living God,
Our loving God,
Wants every soul
Live with this goal!

‘Happy Christmas 2007 to all on earth! ’

The Only Reason For The Season

The Lord and Savior, The Great I AM, came to earth as a gentle Lamb.
Born a tiny baby in a cattle stall, born to be King and The Savior of all.
Isaiah said He’d be born of a virgin, brought into the world with no sin.
God’s sinless Son came to earth, came to offer sinful man a New Birth.

This was God’s predetermined plan, sending Christ to earth as a man.
Christ came to offer every nation, Eternal Life through God’s Salvation.
For it was God’s Only Begotten Son; who was by God the chosen One.
Chosen to be God’s Only Way, to save sinful men who’ve gone astray.

The One, who was but a prophecy, was born that day for all men to see.
Many of the prophets from Israel, had their prophecies in Christ fulfilled.
But ultimately for both you and I, The Sinless Lamb would have to die.
That little baby born in a stall, would soon die a wicked death for us all.

The Sinless Lamb from heaven above, sent to us by The Father’s Love.
Micah prophesied that in Bethlehem, would come The Savior of all men.
The city of Bethlehem, it is said, is known by all as The House of Bread.
What a place for the birth of Christ, who my friend, is The Bread of Life.

This season let your heart pause, when you hear the name Santa Claus.
As the real gift for both you and me, was not under, but nailed on a tree.
And the True Giver is our Creator, and the Gift was our Lord and Savior.
So Jesus Christ is the only reason, why men even celebrate the season.

Christmas Revisited

Two thousand years ago
In Bethlehem town, Oh,
A baby boy was born
In manger-shed forlorn!

He lay upon the hay,
Swaddled in cloths that day,
As watched Mary mother,
And Joseph, his father.

It was a cold, dark night;
There was just oil-lamp’s light;
But angels-choir sang song,
As bells near tolled ding-dong!

’Emmanuel’, his name;
The near-by shepherds came;
They worshipped babe boy-king,
As angels turned to sing.

Oh, what a heavenly sight!
The baby slept so tight;
He had brought joy to all,
Peace to men of good-will!

The boy was ‘King of kings’
For heaven, all earthlings!
The redeemer foretold,
For sinners of this world.

Bethlehem’s star stood there;
A phenomenon rare,
And brought the Magi three,
By camel-back to see!

It was a dream come true
Born was a Savior new,
Who shunned all pomp and show;
Rejoiced earth, heaven, Oh!

‘Hosanna in the high,
Sang angels in the sky! ’
Glory and thanks to God
For his love, mercy odd!

Spread Christmas cheer around
Spread peace, joy across world;
God’s kingdom is now nigh
If repentant, we die!

Christmas 2010

Christmas is the time that tells
That God was born a baby boy;
And He was called ‘Emmanuel’
(‘God with us’) , and brought us joy!

Christmas is the time that tells
That love of God was born on earth,
Becoming flesh in virgin’s womb,
Proclaiming the ‘King of Kings’ birth!

Christmas is the time that tells
That Word that was God became man,
And dwelt amongst us for some years,
And suffer in all ways, He can.

Christmas is the time that tells
That peace returned to heart and soul,
And brought back hope to sinners too,
Who aim toward a heavenly goal.

Christmas is the time that tells
That prophecy of birth of Christ
In Scriptures came to be fulfilled,
As angel choirs sang in Highest.

Christmas is the time that tells
That God chose poverty at birth,
To know how tough life on earth is,
And showed how woes can become mirth.

Christmas is the time that tells
That Christ was born to save mankind
From sins of present, future, past,
And peace came back to heart and mind.

Good Friday...

Behold the wood that went to make the cross
That bore the Saviour Lord, King Jesus Christ:
The holy cross at Calvary on which
Was hung, the Redeemer of mankind race!

That man was only Son of God in flesh,
Who suffered, shed His precious blood as price
For every sin of everyone on earth,
Of Adam and of Eve in lineage!

It wasn’t about the cross that Jesus bore;
It was about the One who hung on it!
He came to earth as Mary’s baby boy,
And gave to men the Good News, peace and joy!

The cross of wood assumed significance
When Jesus died upon it for our sins;
The sacrifice supreme was love of God
For creature man of clay whom He had made!

When Christ resurrected upon third day,
And won o’er death and satan for all times,
The holy cross became the weapon sole
That scares away the devils back to hell!

The cross became the symbol of Christians,
Reminding man of Salvation for all,
As Christ had paid the price on our behalf,
And turned to be the Truth, Light, Way to God!

The holy cross beckons each one of us
To take up each one’s cross and follow Christ;
It is the only hope for all mankind
As life on earth becomes so meaningful!

God’s Love was born on Christmas day as Christ!
Man’s sins nailed Him to death upon the cross!
Christ’s obeisance to Father freed mankind
If repentant, from Fiery Pit of hell!

Reflect on passions Christ had undergone,
Before He died upon the holy cross;
Follow His teachings and precepts for man;
Heaven is nigh for sinners penitent!

Christmas,2009

The love of Father God for man
Came down from heaven, once again,
To show He would do all He can
To save man’s soul in sinful lane!

He sent His only Son called Christ
To be born of a virgin’s womb
Of lady known to be so chaste,
A thing that sealed satan’s end / doom!

The second Eve thus crushed the head
Of satan who put man in sin,
And saved him from a hopeless world,
With capability to win.

The fruit of Virgin Mary’s womb
Was Jesus Christ, who bore the cross
To redeem living, those in tomb,
And showed that He was clearly boss.

Thus, God was born upon the earth
In poverty and humblest way,
To give all mankind, Heaven’s mirth
And justice on Last Judgment Day.

God’s love was born on Christmas Day;
There was no room in any inn;
The baby King just slept on hay –
A sign of love for man within.

Oh, what a lovely God’s own Son!
Oh, what a way to save mankind!
The work of Redemption began –
A fact of mystery, we all find.

Oh, baby Jesus, You brought peace
Into a world of sinful curse,
And hope to man to live with ease,
And reach God’s abode, heaven’s bliss.

The world was filled with intense joy
When born was Jesus, baby boy,
To be the Truth, Way and the Light,
And make man’s future always bright.

Oh, thank You God for Your great love;
To hope renewed, mankind will bow;
When sinners change, there’s joy above
Man freed from sin can live on now!

‘Thus, God was born,
A man, one morn;
Through Christ, His Son,
Hope was reborn! ’

Christmas Story, 2012

A baby boy is born in Bethlehem,
In just a manger, sleeping upon hay!
In wee hours of a morn in winter's cold,
For there was no room at the inn for Him!

A virgin was His mother upon earth;
The Holy Spirit conceived Him this way;
The Word of God took flesh in Mary's womb!
Foretold by prophets, He was ‘Emmanuel'!

The baby was to be the Messiah!
The love of God had sent Him to save man;
He came to forgive sins of all mankind,
As man could not rise to God's perfection!

The baby brought both peace and joy for us;
He was to suffer and die on the cross;
He shed His blood for mankind's every sin!
Heaven opened unto repentant man!

What love God showed for His creature called ‘man'!
He sacrificed His only beloved Son;
Christ Jesus rose to life upon third day!
He went to heaven and awaits us all!

Jesus will come as King of kings again!
He comes to judge all mankind with fairness;
The righteous then share God's eternity;
All evil souls will stay in hell forever!

Advent is time for souls to welcome Christ!
Confess all sins, reconcile with the Lord;
A soul must be most pure to receive Him;
SO, CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS BEFITTINGLY!

Sonnet: Mary, Mother of God

O Heavenly Mother of Jesus Christ!
O Virgin Queen, our Mother too, divine
Who bore Him, yet became disciple first,
O Mother Great of Velankanni shrine.

O Mary, born without Original Sin!
Loving Mother of God’s begotten Son;
Conceived by Holy Spirit, still virgin;
Queen of Heaven, crowned stars and sun!

From earth, Mary assumed into Heaven;
The serpent Satan failed to win, because;
Mother of Perpetual Help for all men,
Mother of Sorrows saw Son die on cross.

O Mary, Intercessor, Lord’s with thee!
Pray for sinners, on earth and Purgatory.

On Christmas Night!

Thus was born
The King of kings,
And Lord of lords,
And only son begotten,
Of the Father- God.

It was a baby boy
Who lay on hay,
On Christmas day
On a winter’s night.

Some Shepherds prayed;
While angels sang
‘Joy to the world
And peace to all
Men of good-will”

From the east,
Three magi came
Fell on their knees,
And paid homage
With gifts of gold,
Frankincense, myrrh,
And worshipped
The new-born King!

They found the babe
In a manger born,
As the Star of Bethlehem
Stood right above!

In total obeisance
To the Father’s decree,
Jesus Christ became man,
To die upon the cross,
To redeem mankind
Forever!

The boundless love of God
Was reflected by Christmas
And Satan’s defeat!

Do You Really Know Christmas?

Many people say Merry Christmas, but, do they know who Christ is?
And that the babe of Bethlehem, now reigns above as Savior of men.
They sing the weary world rejoices, but, does this include all voices?
For the joy that this speaks of, is in regards to God’s Amazing Love.

Do all men really know The King, in the songs that they love to sing?
And if they never receive the Gift, in sinful darkness continue to drift.
Men sing of His birth in a stall, but do they know Christ came for all?
For The King over all of Eternity, was born as baby, for you and me.

Why are all at Christmas rushed, as our Savior’s Name is so hushed?
Going for gifts, from store to store, while The Lord we silently ignore.
While they trim the Christmas tree, do they think at all about Calvary?
For Christ didn’t come to live, but, He came with His very life to give.

Men sing of peace upon the earth, but, is it a peace of lasting worth?
God’s Peace, many don’t receive, for in His Son they do not believe.
And if Christmas Cheer fills the air, why do so many hearts despair?
For this Holiday time, you will find, stresses many, a heart and mind.

If Christmas is all about The Lord, why does Jesus go quite ignored?
Many dismiss God’s Holy Day, while in sin and error, they pine away.
Could it be that this Holy Season, for many has no rhyme or reason?
While in their heart and their life, they truly do not know Jesus Christ.

Dr John Celes’ Song of Christmas,2009

The time for Christmas comes at last;
Prepare for baby Jesus, fast;
Confess your sins committed past;
Proclaim the joy to world, so vast!

The manger home of Jesus Christ,
Afilled with angels who sing first,
‘Hosanna to the One Highest’,
And ‘peace to men, who serve Him best! ’

So spread the tidings, angels brought;
A Savior King, the world has got;
The baby sleeps on hay, not cot,
To share the suffering mankind’s lot!

The Son of God came to this world,
By being born in freezing cold;
Bethlehem’s Star to Magi told,
‘A king was born to peace unfold! ’

So share the joy of Jesus’ birth,
And spread the peace upon the earth;
Let mankind live for heaven’s mirth,
By making lives on earth all worth!

Say ‘Merry Christmas’ to all men;
Bring joy of X’mas to children;
And shower blessings on women;
Let’s pray and sing, Amen, Amen!

‘Merry X’mas,2009! ’

God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen

God rest you merry, gentlemen,
Let nothing you dismay,
For Jesus Christ our Saviour
Was born upon this day,
To save us all from Satan's power
When we were gone astray.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
For Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.
In Bethlehem in Jury
This blessed babe was born,
And laid within a manger
Upon this blessed morn;
The which his mother Mary
Nothing did take in scorn.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.
From God our Heavenly Father
A blessed Angel came,
And unto certain Shepherds
Brought tidings of the same,
How that in Bethlehem was born
The Son of God by name.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.

Fear not, then said the Angel,
Let nothing you affright,
This day is born a Saviour
Of virtue, power and might;
So frequently to vanquish all
The friends of Satan quite.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.

The Shepherds at those tidings
Rejoiced much in mind,
And left their flocks a feeding
In tempest, storm and wind,
And went to Bethlehem straightway,
This blessed babe to find.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.

But when to Bethlehem they came,
Whereas this infant lay,
They found him in a manger
Where oxen feed on hay,
His mother Mary kneeling
Unto the Lord did pray.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.

Now to the Lord sing praises,
All you within this place,
And with true love and brotherhood
Each other now embrace;
This holy tide of Christmas
All others doth deface.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.

Born A Child, Yet A King

Christ came to earth for us all, as a tiny baby, humble and small,
The very God of all of Eternity, came to the earth for you and me.
He came by God’s chosen one, a virgin to deliver His Only Son,
By The Spirit she would conceive, The Savior men would receive.

Jesus was born a child yet a King; God and Creator of everything,
Christ was born in humble Bethlehem, to be the Savior of all men.
Named Immanuel or God with us; One in whom we place our trust.
Named Jesus by The Father’s will, for He’ll save His people Israel.

He came to save men from their sin, if they would only trust in Him.
To save God’s chosen nation, by Christ’s redemption and salvation,
He also came as a light to those, nations thought to be Israel’s foes,
A Light to every Gentile nation, to share in God’s Glorious Salvation.

Christ was born of a virgin birth, to give new life to men on the earth,
This New Life Christ now gives, to all who believe that He now lives.
He came in such a humble state, with a bloody death to be His fate,
Predestined by The Father above, to express to this world His Love.

The planned death of Jesus Christ, was so we can have eternal life,
Christ came to earth to set us free, so that we could live for Eternity,
God born of flesh to be a lamb, God’s single sacrifice for every man,
Born as a baby for you and me, to die as a man upon Calvary’s tree.

Although Christ died, now He lives, and Eternal Life, now God gives,
To all men who believe Christ came, and in faith, confess His Name.
Soon Jesus Christ will come again, and shall be revealed to all men,
However, this time as The Lord of all, not the humble baby in a stall.

You can receive God’s saving Grace, from Christ any time any place,
God’s saving Grace you will receive, when in His Son you do believe.
So you can reign with The Son, when He reigns as Lord of everyone,
And live with Christ forevermore, when you receive Him as your Lord.
