Sonnet: When God’s Our Friend
You fear the Lord and He will spare His rod;
Have faith in Him and He will shower Grace;
Accept to be a believer of God,
And like the sun, so too will shine your face.
Believe in Him, although He is unseen;
But look for Him in all things He has made;
Just pray to Him and on His help you lean;
Praise Him; thank Him, till from this world we fade.
Never worry for He never forsakes;
He is the Almighty God and Creator;
With Him as Guide, big problems turn small aches;
To all our needs, He’ll certainly cater.
When God’s our Friend, who can against us win?
Devils are on the run, so is our sin!

As He Works Out All Things
God works out all things for me, in ways I could not foresee,
In ways that could only come, through Jesus Christ, His Son,
Changing the very heart of men, in ways which only God can,
Arranging a path in life for me, all for God’s Praise and Glory.
Even as those problems do occur, it is God’s Will, I can infer,
As our Lord uses many trials for, the Believer and many more,
Unbelievers who watch one’s life, of a believer in Jesus Christ,
To see just how we respond to, the trials God sees us through.
Our trials can be of any scale, but, in The Lord we shall prevail,
Whether trials come big or small, God, is still The Lord over all,
No matter what the magnitude, others watch to see our attitude,
Watching what is said and done, to see our faith, in God’s Son.
God’s Only Son, Christ Jesus, whose Grace is sufficient for us,
For He is the One who sustains, us through our trials and pains,
Sustaining us through His Grace, in each trial that we shall face,
So men see His Grace and Power, even within our darkest hour.
What many may not know friend, is He’s the beginning and end,
Christ knows every circumstance, in His plan there is no chance,
As Christ directs the way we go, down the path we do not know,
While displaying His power in us, with the peace of Christ Jesus.
Lord, I give you all my praise. (To the tune of down at the cross)
O Lord, My God, I give you all my praise
You have cared for me all my days
You have comfort and strengthen me
Lord, I give you all my praise.
Yes, God has been good to me.
God has been so good to me.
Yes, God has been good to me.
Lord, I give you all my praise.
O’ Lord, My God, to you I lift my hand
You will bless me right where I stand
You will guide me along the way
Lord, I give you all my praise.
Yes, God has been good to me.
God has been so good to me.
Yes God has been good to me.
Lord, I give you all my praise.
O Lord My God to you I sing my praise
I surrender and beg for your grace
Please O’ Lord, forgive all my sins.
Lord, I give you all my praise.
Yes, God has been good to me.
God has been so good to me.
Yes God has been good to me.
Lord, I give you all my praise.
O Lord, my God I need your help today
Please send some aid quickly my way
Problems are so bad I can hardly pray
Lord, I give you all my praise.
Yes, God has been good to me.
God has been so good to me.
Yes, God has been good to me.
Lord, I give you all my praise.
O Lord, My God, thanks for all you have done
You have empowered me to overcome
Now, I can claim my battle as won
Lord, I give you all my praise.
Yes God has been good to me.
God has been so good me.
Yes God has been good to me.
Lord, I give you all my praise.

Sonnet: God’s, the Almighty One
Renounce your sins and come back to the Lord!
Pour out your heart and make it burden-less;
Penance gives you the mercy/ grace of God,
And freedom from the tempter’s ruthlessness.
All things happen as per the Word of God;
He is the Almighty, our Creator;
A soul that’s dead in sins can’t praise the Lord;
God is a Friend, our Guide and our Mentor.
The Lord has eyes to see our every act;
Our God has ears to hear our every call;
With man alone, He has offered a pact,
To raise him up if ever should he fall.
Our life on earth shall pass in just moments!
So, let us live our days with God’s prudence.

His Perfect Way
A quiet beginning to the day, reminds me that I need to pray.
I need to call upon The Lord, to share with Him what’s in store,
What’s in store for me today, as I seek The Lord’s Perfect Way,
His Perfect Way in all things, through the Grace that He brings.
With a full day at the start, things begin to burden my heart.
Then I remember that He, Christ Himself, will not forsake me.
I simply look to Him and ask, to guide me through every task.
And as I go through my day, Christ is my guide, all the way.
With a task to big to face, I must lean totally upon His Grace.
I hear Christ say with a nod, “Be still and know that I am God.”
Every task He leads me to, His Grace guides me fully through.
And God again gets the praise, as I follow His Perfect Ways.
If the day seems dark and bleak, it’s His face I need to seek,
For its Christ that directs my ways, in the darkest of my days.
He shines His Light on my path, from the first step to the last.
With His Light guiding my way, The Lord quietly ends my day.
A quiet end to a busy day, reminds me again that I need to pray,
And trust God with all my heart, even before the day does start,
Acknowledge Him in all I do, and He will surely see me through.
I need to thank God for my day, for showing me His Perfect Way.
Step Out In Faith
Some seek God’s face both night and day
For months and even years
They’ll kneel and pray and pray and pray
With heart and soul in tears
They know The Lord can do this thing
Their faith in Christ is strong
And so with prayer God’s praise they’ll sing
Believing nothing’s wrong
But faith is not just sitting still
True faith dictates we stand
If through our deeds we do God’s will
Then God will lend a hand
We need to move we need to stir
We need much more than talk
If mighty things will soon occur
We need in faith to walk
Its good to pray its good to praise
But yet there’s so much more
Consulting God in all our ways
Opens many a door
Step out in faith but not as fools
Learn first to understand
Obey The Lord obey His rules
And see God mighty hand
The Lord may love the songs we sing
Our ways are His concern
He’s not a puppet on a string
Nor water tap to turn
Think not The Lord has all to do
When faith has been received
Action must come from me and you
In Him we have believed

Sonnet: God Is Our Hope and Succor
No one’s indispensable in this world;
Someone will surely take our place someday!
Retirement comes for good when we are old;
Let sober thoughts not come in our faith’s way.
When faith is challenged unexpectedly,
Our love for God must take us steadfastly;
When problems come mountain-like suddenly,
Let us meet them God most courageously!
All things good/bad must terminate some day;
Today’s troubles are enough for today;
Tho’ morrow brings more in its wake our way,
To God to guide us, we have got to pray!
The things we worry much won’t for long stay;
God solves our problems, keeps evils at bay!

In God’s Grip
I am in God’s Heavenly Grip, and in dark times. I will not slip,
As my feet, my Lord shall guide, walking closely by my side.
On the Rock He helps me stand, guided by His steady Hand,
As the times around me quake, my side God will not forsake.
When tragedy falls upon my home, I never find myself alone,
For through it God walks with me, together with all my family.
My Lord and God, Christ Jesus, leads and comforts all of us,
Concerning my family as a whole, I turn to One who’s over all.
As all of the uncertainty grows, I call to God, who truly knows,
My very beginning to my end, Jesus Christ, my Loving Friend,
And for The Lord of all Eternity, there is never any uncertainty,
A Mighty Shepherd over everyone, I turn to God’s Eternal Son.
Any worry when it has its start, only allows fear to fill my heart,
And as the shadows begin to fall, fear makes big out of small.
For us, fear cannot have its way, as God still orders every day,
As in the past, in all we’ll face, we’ll be upheld by God’s Grace.
Grace, Christ alone shall provide, while in Him we totally abide,
Though we may not understand, we’re all together in His Hand.
As restless as my heart may be, I know the God of all Eternity,
And from my Lord’s Loving Grip, I know my family will not slip.

Ya, Allah
Ya, Allah, Almighty, supreme ruler of the world
Shower me with bless and take me to your fold
What do I know about your mighty and holy land?
I am here in palace or huts built on sand
I don’t know whether it is ill gotten or by great efforts
But surely it is with me as safely reached to ports
I am unaware what to do with this much wealth
Oh almighty keep your grace on me with only health
I look towards sky with raised hands
Only rahem (pity) be shown toward an end
I need no empire, no money but simple grace
Reflection of your act brightening my face
I try to save self but may not be possible sometimes
Yet I loose no hopes and offer prayer all the times
I have great faith in the fellow human beings
So many of them poor, rich and some are kings
Why do I need them all in my life?
When life is full of pain and strife
I need your grace on all ignorant lives
Whether they believe in you or don’t believe
I see smile in star’s twinkle
Life is like bubble when they smile little
What light and message I read in your world?
Peace is rare and relations are turn so much cold
Shower us O almighty with love and only peace
So we can pray a little with life at ease
We need to live more on this beautiful earth
Life has become cheap and no charge for asking death
We are ignorant and know nothing
You may have for us surely something
We have impure body with senseless soul
No penalty can remedy it even if we crawl

Those Who Pray And Fake Faith
Faith is what it takes,
To conquer over inner fears.
Those who pray and fake faith...
Fool themselves.
Not The Creator.
To walk in faith to let go and let God,
Handle the business of guiding and correcting...
Leads one to witness the power of The Almighty.
Those hiding behind their shallow wants and wishes,
Repeatedly face opposition with a taste of chaos.
Faith is what it takes,
To conquer over inner fears.
Those who pray and fake faith...
Fool themselves.
Not The Creator.

Through Every Day
The Lord has and shall always; see me through all my days,
Whatever will come before me, His Gracious hand I will see,
As my life The Lord does guide, with my Savior by my side,
Through any task, large or small, He's the Lord God over all.
I seek God's face in the morning, before any trial or warning,
When talking to Him, anywhere, my Lord God's always there,
I just share what's on my heart, knowing to me He will impart,
Calm, for another day down here, as I cast to Him every fear.
I always reach the Throne of Grace, any time, from any place,
To talk about issues at hand, all things I may not understand,
God may not alter the day ahead, but He's always, like I said,
There, whenever I need to talk, anywhere along my daily walk.
Each day from beginning to end, I speak to God, as a friend,
Who helps me with doubt I face, to supply the needed grace,
Always an ear along the way, to help me through another day,
And in God, I'm always assured, I am in the Hand of my Lord.
In my days, as they come and go, this for sure I always know,
I'm guided by The Lord above, who leads me daily in His love,
And when I pause to talk to Him, He fills me with peace within,
Through the day into the night, He is always, my guiding Light.
Glorious Grace
Words & music: deborah d. smith and michael w. smith
Let us praise the one who chose us
Let us thank the one who knows us
Set apart, blameless in his sight
Through the son, we have faith, we have life
To the praise of his glorious grace
Chorus:
May the god of our lord the almighty father
Give you wisdom and peace, his comforting spirit
That you may know his hope
You may know his riches
And you may know his mighty strength
To the praise of his glorious grace
To the praise of his glorious grace
Grace and peace to you through jesus
Our deliverer receives us
Our hearts created for his word
Our salvation was spoken and we heard
To the praise of his glorious grace

Sonnet: Prayer Helps in Adversity
If you are thrown into a lion’s den,
The hungry beasts will surely you devour;
Pray to the Lord who saves you from beasts/ men
Of evil, even in the eleventh hour.
If you’re out-numbered by many bad men,
Who want to take revenge on you for sure,
Pray to the Lord and He’ll protect you when
You Say, ‘make my heart chaste and my soul pure.’
When if your fight ‘gainst evil succeeds not,
Just like a snail, return into your shell;
God reinforces and protects your Lot,
And very soon, all things will end quite well.
When Hope is like a tap without water,
Pray to the Lord, He will surely cater.

My God and Friend
He’s my God, my Lord, and a friend, who sticks closer than a brother,
He is one in whom you can depend, for comfort, more than any other,
He is a friend through thick and thin, the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
Who saved us from all of our sin, by becoming for us God’s sacrifice.
And for this, He became our Savior, but my friend He’s so much more,
As Christ my friend, He’s our Creator; one good reason He is our Lord.
However, Jesus lords not over us, and by God’s Grace we understand,
That all of those who in Him trust, He guides them with His gentle hand.
Dear friend, as our Creator God, there’s not one thing He doesn’t know,
And knowing all this earth we trod, Christ directs us in which way to go.
And Christ knows just how He will, provide for us each and every need,
And every need for our Lord to fill, is for our Creator a tiny task indeed.
The Lord God does all of this in love, from His Glorious Eternal Throne,
Reaching down from Heaven above, to care for those He calls His own.
But dear friend, before any of this, I stood all alone, lost and depraved,
I then received Christ’s Righteousness, when by His Grace I was saved.
It was on that day, which I believed, by faith in Christ Jesus as my Lord,
And from God the Father I received, new life through Christ forevermore.
So now He is my God and my friend, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
In a relationship, which has no end, as through Jesus I enter Eternal Life.

Rich Man, Poor Man
When God looked down from Heaven's Throne to Job upon the Earth,
God saw Job's faith had fully grown and that this man had worth...
God told the Devil of this man, so righteous and so pure.
God said, 'He does the best he can, almost without a flaw...'
The Devil fumed and then replied, 'You made him rich, that's why!
How many times has that man sighed? He has no cause to cry! '
Then God let Satan smite Job's land and suffer for a while
And death was very near to hand... and poor Job lost his smile...
The Lord received Job's faithful praise, despite the tragic loss!
Job proved he loved the Lord always! That made the Devil cross!
'What say you now? ' the Lord remarked! But Satan argued still...
For he was livid, he was narked, 'What if I make him ill? '
So God agreed, 'But spare his life! ' So Satan went below
And Job fell ill, such that his wife saw skin boils start to grow...
'Why praise the Lord? Reject His love! ' But Job dismissed each word.
'I trust the Lord who dwells above! Rejection's quite absurd! '
Alas, poor Job conferred with friends, who said that he had sinned...
But Job had faith that never ends! Though he no longer grinned!
Through gritted teeth, he set them straight, 'Of what sin am I blamed?
Of every sin I've learned to hate! I sit here unashamed! '
Then God spoke loud and God spoke clear, of everything He'd made,
Both sun and moon, things far and near, so truth could be displayed.
A structured world to live upon, from valleys to snowflakes!
If rainbow-coloured lights are shone, then, oh, what joy, each makes!
Poor Job, he suffered all he could, yet now he'd seen God's face,
By faith, he'd done the things he should, yet Job was saved by grace!
By faith, not works, lest any boast, no matter, rich or poor...
In Christ, receive the Holy Ghost... You'll never want for more...

Small Minds
Small minds truly think alike, while, we have the mind of Christ,
For Christ has a Glorified mind, one which is of an eternal kind,
So all believers think far above, small minds, which I speak of,
Those believing there’s no God, and limited to this earthly sod.
We’re seated in heavenly realms; small minds, this overwhelms,
Seated in Heaven with Jesus Christ, Who’s given us eternal life,
A thought that is much too tall, for their thinking, which is small,
Small enough to dismiss Truth, that from God has all the proof.
All the proof man could need, to believe, but they will not heed,
Since they dismiss The Creator, they have no need for a Savior,
But, in due time they’ll find, they were mislead, by a small mind,
By the thinking much too small, to accept God, Who is over all.
We may be shallow in their eyes, however, in Christ we are wise,
With the mind of Christ our Savior, as we embraced our Creator,
The One Who created all we see, The Lord God over all Eternity,
Christ is Lord, over all, my friend, as all shall see come the end.
But the small minds can change, in the Power of Christ’s Name,
When they see they were blind, they too can have Christ’s mind,
By repenting to turn to God’s Son, the very Creator of everyone,
When God’s Truth they believe, the mind of Christ they’ll receive.
It’s not For Us to Question, ‘Why? ’
When problems come galore
It’s not for us to ask, ‘why more? ’
Or curse our birthday in this world,
But accept things quite bold.
When woes come more than joys in life,
It’s not for us to ask, ‘why strife? ’
God has a plan for each of us,
And underlying bliss!
When things happen unexpected,
It’s not for us to question, ‘why? ’
‘Ask God for patience and His grace,
And will to bravely face! ’
When death comes by,
It’s not for us to question, ‘why
The Almighty has allowed it? ’
But meekly just submit.

A Thanksgiving Prayer to God
Almighty God, to Thee I pray,
And thank Thee for all things this day,
I had received in ample way;
Let glory be to Thee, Aye! Aye!
I am a human being mere;
I sin often and always err;
Forgive me Lord, my God, I plead,
A better life, may I still lead.
This day is almost over, Lord!
I’m sorry if I broke accord;
Without Thine mercy, love O God,
My life gets thrown into discord.
My every want, Thou providest;
My praises, thanks, I offer best;
Ignore my iniquities Lord;
Afill my heart, mind with Thine word.
O let my lips utter good words,
And let my tongue not turn like swords,
And let me labor for Thine sake,
And dispel ignorance and ache.
The good I did all came from Thee
The bad surfaced from within me;
O help me do my duty well,
And always toll the success bell!
O fill this vessel, Lord, I pray,
With gifts that I can share today,
With downtrodden brethren around,
And men and women, poor, unsound.
O bless my solitude always;
Let devils not invade my days;
So bless my deeds and mundane ways,
Miraculously most, in case.
O take away my pride, O Lord;
I long to live in Thine accord;
Rescue me from each temptation
That takes me nearer Damnation.
Provide me Lord, with Thine insight;
Thou art my only way, truth, light;
Let love for Thee burn always bright,
From dawn till dusk, and through the night.
My fallacies are not just mine;
O keep me off women and wine;
This bread will do; my health is fine;
My soul with grace must always shine.
O Lord, now bless this bread I eat;
And keep my body, heart, soul, neat,
And walking in heavenly grace,
With wisdom, piety-filled face.

One Believer
There are some roads you must walk yourself,
Just you and your own Faith: nothing else.
And on those dark days you're bound to go through,
Here's something to hold on to.
You got one believer,
One whose Faith goes deeper.
When someone loves you as much as me,
One believer is all you need.
This world's gonna try to bring you down,
But don't you let it: you just stand your ground.
Whatever happens, never forget:
Wherever you are, as long as I live.
You got one believer,
One whose Faith goes deeper.
When someone loves you as much as me,
One believer is all you need.
When someone loves you as much as me,
One believer is all you need.
One (One.)
Believer,
One whose Faith goes deeper.
When someone loves you as much as me,
One believer is all you need.
Oh One (Just one.)
Believer.
Mmm.

Sonnet: Why Do I Change My Clinics Frequently?
Why do I start my clinics everywhere?
So far, I have not found the answer yet;
Perhaps, I have to pray and bless the air!
Perhaps, God tests me if I fume and fret.
Whatever happens, I must take with cheer;
In everything I do, God has a plan;
The will of God is not well-known, I fear;
God moulds and shapes to be a better man.
The things that happen to me are so queer;
Nevertheless, I praise the Lord, my God;
My life on earth to me is very dear;
My soul is precious to my Maker, Lord.
I do not ask the ‘whys’ of things these days;
God is my friend, guide, protector always!

All That’s Needed
I do not need any external relief, I just need to live out my belief,
Belief that goes beyond salvation, as I lean on God’s Revelation,
While things change and surely will, I need to let my heart be still,
Knowing my Lord is God over all, ordering events, big and small.
I know not what’s down the road, but, alone I don’t carry the load,
Following God, the burden’s light, even through the darkest night,
Never knowing what may be ahead, I depend on my Lord instead,
Who, through His Word is my guide, walking faithfully at my side.
The faith that I have in Jesus Christ, not only gives me eternal life,
For along with that blessed hope, God gives me strength to cope,
With unwanted trials that appear, on my earthly journey down here,
And with my eyes upon The Lord, plenty of grace, God will afford.
My friend, as I live out my faith, God provides me sufficient grace,
As my Lord leads me in this life, He comforts me in times of strife,
Upholding me in the deepest grief, as I firmly hold close my belief,
Not just my faith, but Jesus Christ, who had paid the ultimate price.
God’s Word lights my path each day, as I journey life’s narrow way,
With His Word hidden in my heart, God’s Truth each day has a part,
Directing each and every thought, as His Truth in my life is wrought,
Placing me on a Firm Foundation, through my faith in His Salvation.
