Sonnet: Upon the Christian's Heart

Upon each Christian's heart is etched by God,
The Ten Commandments that He gave Moses;
And disobedience's mortal sin with rod;
And after-life with God, He thus looses!

Each Christian's heart has knowledge of God's love;
The Father gave His Son's life for man's sake;
By keeping all Commandments, we then prove
Our love for Jesus is true and not fake!

And when you keep the Ten Commands all life,
Your soul stays pure, ready for heaven's gate;
God raises you each time you fall in strife;
You are well dressed for Bridegroom's Banquet Date!

Happy's the Christian who keeps God's tenets;
And when he dies, he leaves without regrets!

Basically Speaking!

You cannot do a dirty job
Appearing always clean;
You cannot live in vice all life,
And have a virtuous soul!

You cannot wear just tattered clothes
To attend banquet feast;
You cannot be unsterile and
Perform clean surgery!

You cannot be a patriot,
And help the enemies;
You cannot live a life of sin
Awaiting miracles.

You cannot sin repeatedly,
Expect God’s forgiveness;
You cannot stay a Satan’s child,
And enter God’s Abode.

You cannot kill the innocent
Babe, growing in your womb;
For, murder is a crime and sin
Mortal, that God detests.

You cannot cut the thread of life
For anyone on earth;
The Creator is life-giver:
So, He alone can take!

You cannot break God’s Commandments
Willfully, by habit;
God will not forgive mortal sins,
Unless you change your life.

You cannot go against God’s laws,
And be in grace, sin-free;
You cannot be in mortal sins
And think God will forgive.

Adultery is mortal sin;
Prostitution is adultery;
Murder is mortal sin;
Feticide and abortion are murders in the womb.

Breaking any of the Ten Commandments
Of God is a mortal sin;
The price of sin is death;
The price of mortal sin
Is Eternal Damnation i.e. HELL!
A good Christian knows this too well.

Yet, Jesus paid a ‘bloody price’
And gave His life on cross;
‘Will you not give up sins and vice? ’,
The Savior asks of us.

The LENT is meant
For you and me
To reconcile with God;
Each LENT is lent,
By love of God
To lessen our just rod.

Sonnet: A ' Xian's Life

When problems seize a man upon the earth,
The cause is devils, nature, God or I;
The Christian has a dreary life since birth;
In all his strife, Jesus remains near-by!

Why blame someone for things going amiss?
A Christian life is full of misery;
Just don’t worry for stands besides Jesus;
“Take up your cross and follow me, ” said He!

The devils tempt a Christian soul often;
But Jesus assures him victory always;
The shadow of the Cross leads to Heaven;
A baptized soul on earth has sure D-days!

The Son of God, Jesus, forsakes me not;
Thro’ bloody price on Cross- That’s how I’ as bought!

Jesus Christ, Our Hope, Strength and Refuge!

For sins of human beings all,
Lord Jesus laid His life on cross;
Although a sin-free soul Himself,
He suffered, died to redeem man.

He shed His every dropp of blood,
Emancipating human race
From punishment by hell for sins –
Such heinous crimes upon the earth!

The cross is part of Christian’s life,
And persecutions will happen,
As Christ predicted all these things,
For those who walked in His foot-steps!

His Holy Spirit guides Christians,
Who live a righteous life for Christ,
The only Son of Almighty –
A heart of immense love for man!

But Christ resurrected from death!
He won clear victory o’er satan;
All Christians good will do the same;
This faith is something strangely true.

Let humiliations come in life!
Let trials, tribulations come!
Let strife threaten our faith and hope!
Christ stays with us till end of time!

A Christian takes his cross and walks
Behind the Savior, Jesus Christ –
The Light and Truth and only Way
To reach Heaven, abode of God!

Learn From The Holy Bible:

About the God of creation;
About His Kingdom called Heaven;
About His angels and saints;
About His glory and power.

About the narrow road to Heaven;
About the broad paths to hell;
About His Ten Commandments;
About the need to avoid sins.

About the prophets and their prophecies;
About true stories that occurred before Christ;
About the infinite mercy of God;
About His just punishments as well.

About the love of God for man;
About the birth, death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ;
About the Last Judgment Day;
About the second coming of Christ.

About the need to repent for our sins;
About the forgiveness of sins;
About how to live a good Christian life;
About the end of the world!

Sonnet: On Being a Christian

Like Christ’s, a Christian 's life will have to be;
Like Him, he'll carry crosses all his life;
He'll live amidst a world of treachery;
His love of God gets reinforced by strife.

Like Christ, the world will unfairly treat him;
And punish him for 'crimes' which he ne'er did;
His woes and foes will make his life so grim;
Nevertheless, they will fail in their bid.

For Holy Spirit guides each Christian!
Against devils, evils, misdeeds and sin;
He walks boldly in the road to Heaven;
On earth and Heaven, the 'Xian will win.

A Christian's life tho' difficult is best;
And Christ will help him pass the final test.

Happy Marriage Anniversary

United were two hearts,
Before one, living God,
As husband and his wife,
For rest of earthly life.

And then, they bore a child
That gave them joy so wild;
’Tis better that souls two,
Their Christian duties do;
If one happens to fall,
The other helps it stall.

So, love your spouse whole-heartedly;
And live God’s way unitedly!
In Jesus Christ, the road to Heav’n
Is easy, straight and quite even!

Christian Marriage

God made you two as man and wife,
And live as one in earthly life;
The two bodies are now one flesh;
In Jesus Christ, you dwell, refresh.

No one on earth can separate,
Two souls ‘en way’ to Heaven’s Gate;
The marriage vows you took ’fore Lord,
Come sanctified by Divine Word.

For, Matrimony- sacrament,
Was made by Christ, a monument;
Forever love must then prevail,
Whatever comes as strife, travail.

When Christ suffered for sins of ours,
And shed His blood by death on cross,
Our suffering on earth is naught;
In joy of after-life, we’re caught!

God helps us brave all storms in life,
And timely aids us in all strife;
In Him, our faith should grow always
Until we pass our earthly days!

Ne’er fear: for God ne’er will forsake
The souls who live for His own sake;
Nor will He ever abandon
His righteous ones, the least even.

Believe the Lord and all He says;
Success on earth too comes in days;
Prepare your soul with grace always;
A Christian true has won the race!

The God of Love!

By love, God made the universe;
By love, God created the earth;
By love, God made man and woman;
By love, God gave them each a soul.

By love, God cares for human needs;
By love, God watches over man;
By love, God gave Ten Commandments;
By love, God punishes man too.

By love, God made Heaven for man;
By love, God sent His son to earth;
By love, God had Christ die on cross;
By love, God nullified sins’ rod;
By love, God waits to embrace man!

The God of love made man with love;
But man with sins questions Him, ‘How? ’

What is Christianity (Catholicism) ?

To live a Catholic life
In an alien land!
To be witness for Christ,
And join the martyrs’ band.

To suffer for Christ’s sake,
And offer them to God;
To bear our cross and walk
In footsteps of the Lord.

To live upto our faith,
No matter how comes strife;
To live with hope in Christ
Is prime in Christian’s life.

To be persecuted
For sake of Christ is true;
And being ill-treated,
The Almighty, we woo.

To read the Word of God
As Bible’s verses tell;
To mitigate our rod,
And never land in hell.

To spread the Word of God
To every person born;
To die a holy death,
And God’s abode adorn.

The road to God is clear
Narrow and only one;
With God, why should we fear?
His love gave us His Son.

To turn a martyr then
For faith and sake of Christ;
If need be, we will die
As Christ shed His blood first!

Sonnet: What a Christian Loves Most

I love to hear the church-bells peeling loud
For Angelus, before each service starts;
I am a Christian and I am so proud
To keep my soul pure till my life departs.

God’s peace descends on minds that deeply pray;
The atmosphere within a church is great;
I wish to get communion every day,
Confessing sins mortal, venial till date.

I love to pray kneeling ’fore grotto-gate
Emptying the heaviness from off my heart;
And then, I know my God will change my fate,
And help me do my duty and my part.

’Tis nice to live quite near a church always,
And spend in Piety our earthly days.

Jesus Calls Us

Jesus calls us; o'er the tumult
of our life's wild, restless sea,
day by day his clear voice soundeth,
saying, 'Christian, follow me;'

as, of old, Saint Andrew heart it
by the Galilean lake,
turned from home and toil and kindred,
leaving all for his dear sake.

Jesus calls us from the worship
of the vain world's golden store;
from each idol that would keep us,
saying, 'Christian, love me more.'

In our joys and in our sorrows,
days of toil and hours of ease,
still he calls, in cares and pleasures,
'Christian, love me more than these.'

Jesus calls us! By thy mercies,
Savior, may we hear thy call,
give our hearts to thine obedience,
serve and love thee best of all.

Lord Of The Dance

I am the Lord of the dance
I dance beneath the sky
On a clear night
I can see the stars
Shining above the sky
I am the Lord of the dance
God rewards me everyday
I dance for my Lord
The sky is clear
The moon is shining in the sky
This is a beautiful fall night
The peace fills my mind and my heart
I feel at peace
It is good to know that God cares
I want to serve my lord with all my heart
I am God’s Child
I am gifted
God brings peace into my heart
I am the lord of the dance
He gave me peace
He gave me life
He gave me health
He gave me a spirit
He gave me a mind
He gave me a body
He gave me hope
He open’s my ear
And let me hear the sound of silence
He gave me eyes
For me to see more of him
I trust the Lord with all my heart
I am the Lord of the dance
I was born a Christian
And I will die as a Christian

Sonnet: For Heaven’s Sake, Be Righteous

Like a roaring lion, prowls the devil,
Our adversary, to undo our good;
For, enough is enough; do no evil;
Receive the crown of life through good priesthood.

Shepherd the flock like how Jesus Christ did;
The Good Shepherd died for no fault of His;
Be like the city on the hill unhid;
Walk in the shadow of the cross to bliss.

Oh, how much longer must we live in sin?
Such precious time has gone awaste in life;
God helps the righteous against devils win;
The life in heaven is one without strife.

Oh, live a selfless life for Jesus’ sake;
Remember that Heaven, hell isn’t a fake!

Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity

Is India Still Secular?

A nun was gang-raped in public;
A priest was beaten black and blue!
Half-naked, both were paraded;
While police-men stood near-by mute!

They burnt houses of Christians!
They torched the churches and killed some;
They reconverted quite a few;
‘Christians have no place in own land! ’

This was how Kandhamal returned
the love and charity of both;
They suffered for the sake of Christ!
Shame on a nation with such crimes!

Religions have sense of values;
But fanatics don’t have any;
Are not the Christians Indians too;
Why blame them for a Hindu’s death?

‘A little pencil in God’s hand’, -
in words of Mother Teresa –
are missionary sisters who serve
serve the poorest poor for Christ’s sake!

They see Christ in the poor they meet;
Like pencils they serve till worn out;
In white sarees with blue-border,
Their Foundress was Mother Teresa;

They offer smiles to distressed souls;
They caress people abandoned;
They console hearts filled with chaos;
The unwanted are made happy.

But Jesus touches any heart!
He turned Saul to Apostle Paul!
God’s-calling, no one can refuse;
All souls surrender to His love.

The ways of God are strange and queer!
God chooses anyone He wants;
He will not neglect souls that pray;
God’s rod is weapon powerful-most!

The country where Teresa slogged,
And won the Noble Prize for Peace
Has sadly ignored her sisters,
Who suffer ignominy much.

No one knows what one will become!
Religion is a transient thing –
The outer garb for every soul,
That must be pure to Heaven reach.

Why crush the flowers meant for God?
No man can win against God’s power;
Why ruin lives who serve the Lord?
God’s curse and wrath awaits such souls!

A priest or nun has made a vow –
His body, mind belongs to God;
He lives his life just for God’s sake;
His soul will surely reach heaven.

To be a Christian is God’s will!
A Christian is proud to be one;
He’ll give his life for Jesus’ sake;
His love for God, no one can steal!

Sonnet: Lord Jesus Christ - the Good Shepherd

Christ Jesus Lord is Good Shepherd - the one,
Who is ready to sacrifice His life,
For sake of sheep He leads, and He is Son
Of God, Redeemer and saves all from strife!

Christ gave His life upon the cross for all,
And shed His blood as price for mankind's sins,
So that the penitent can hear God's call,
And enter heaven with pure soul and wins.

The Good Shepherd has other sheep to lead,
For they too heed His call and follow Him;
For all His sheep in flock one, need to feed,
Returning safely when the light turns dim!

Christ is the owner of the flock of sheep;
With Good Shepherd around, no wolves dare peep!

Forgave, Saved and Raised

The Spirit sent from Jesus Christ, came and my heart He engaged.
Christ became for all a sacrifice, and all of my sins Christ forgave.
And by the blood of Jesus Christ, a sinful soul by Christ was saved.
From the grave He came to life, and now my life Christ has raised.

The Holy Spirit Christ sent to us, came from The Father up above.
Who had sent to us His Son Jesus, to the entire world by His Love.
And in His Son we place our trust, as we look to The Father above.
God then purges us of worldly lust, by filling us with Christ like love.

Christ forgave me of all my sin, when I accepted Him into my heart.
He cleansed my heart deep within, and gave me a brand new start.
And The Spirit that was sent from Him, from my life shall not depart.
The Spirit helps me avoid all sin, as He guides my mind and heart.

As a darkened soul I was saved, through the blood of Jesus Christ.
With the very life that Christ gave, He paid for all the ultimate price.
From my life that was so depraved, He gave to me brand a new life.
And so this life, back to Him I gave, to be for Jesus a living sacrifice.

Men who once knew me are amazed, as I live like an innocent dove,
As now with Him I’ve been raised, seated in the Heavens up above.
Where He’s to be forever praised, for what’s truly God’s Eternal Love.
And I may never look on my grave, if soon raptured to His side above.

On Our Earthly Life

Like a sail-less ship, we try to cross life’s sea!
From birth, we sin and tend to sin all life;
No man is pure or perfect in God’s eyes;
Our faith in Jesus saves us from sure hell!

Our hearts like knives all blunt, need sharpening;
Our faith in Christ needs depth and widening;
Our love of God needs to be strengthening;
Our human strength per se in weakening!

Just Jesus raises us whenev’r we fall;
Our hearts are filled with evil desires all;
Our minds and ears recognize not God’s call;
Our knowledge fount is bitter, tastes like gall!

We tend to do evil though thoughts are good;
We eat rubbish thinking it is good food;
We aim for being better than we could;
We sin so often, wear a mask and hood!

Through Jesus came the Good Shepherd for all;
Before Him, men were shepherdless, a flock;
The law wants us to love God by whole heart;
And yet, we fail to love our neighbours oft!
