Sonnet: Life is Different to All

Why brood about the past you cannot change?
Each person's life is strange and quite unique;
Each one's journey is so different in range;
We build most structures labored, brick by brick!

Why worry when something cannot be changed?
Envying others can't give one life's lift;
One's mental strain should not leave one deranged;
Our trust and hope in God is greatest gift!

Let's count our blessings, not what we can't get;
A cat can't be a tiger any day;
When we are principled, why then regret?
To every creature, Maker shows His way!

Why waste your precious time worrying in life?
Why seek women when you have your good wife?

Sonnet: Our Earthly Life is Ephemeral!

Remember man, this earthly life will fade;
All glory gained will also vanish fast;
Just think about God’s love that had us made;
Our achievements will become things of past.

Money cannot give us joys permanent;
Our labor needs God’s blessings all the time;
God’s earth is where we live as His tenant;
We need His grace for success in bad clime.

We needn’t worry about our earthy needs;
The soul needs utmost care right from our birth;
Good soil alone can sprout good trees from seeds;
Our aim must be to reach heavenly mirth.

Let mist of sins not block heavenly gaze;
Let’s live a righteous life, with Maker’s grace.

Sonnet: Why Waste …?

Why waste your voice, extolling men on earth,
Who don’t deserve the smallest praise, you give?
Why waste your life in earthly aims since birth,
When there are better things for which to live?

Why waste your talents, earning name and fame,
When nothing we can take back when we die?
Why waste your precious days in acts of shame,
When we can thank the Lord and God, Most High?

Why waste your labor, building things that break,
When you can share the love of God with all?
Why waste your life in taking risks to make
One skyscraper, that must anytime fall?

Why waste God-given time in sin and vice,
When God expects us to remain soul-wise?

The Tower That Ate People

There's a bump in the basement
There's a knocking on the wall
In the pumping of the pistons
I swear I heard you call
There's a bump in the basement
There's a hole in the floor
There's a guard in the garden
Locking up the door
There's a rumble in the floorboards
No shutting out the sound
And the workers down below me
Digging underground
Feel the building all around me
Like a wrap of armoured skin
But the more we are protected
The more we're trapped within
Tell it like it is
Till there's no misunderstanding
When you strip it right back
Man feed machine
Machine feed man
Tell it like it is
Till there's no misunderstanding
You make up what you like
Man feed machine
Machine feed man
?
Brick by brick by brick by brick we're building
Brick by brick by brick by brick we're building
Brick by brick by brick by brick we're building
Brick by brick by brick by brick we're building
Brick by brick by brick by brick we're building
Brick by brick by brick by brick we're building

Sonnet: To My Wife

Our marriage comes just once a life-time dear;
Yet, anniversaries could come often;
Our sacred bond must instill love, not fear,
And help us reach our goal, which is Heaven.

Why brood over the future God intends?
’Tis waste of precious time in worrying much;
Why bother when our needs God well attends?
Let’s thank the Lord for his Fatherly touch.

Let’s keep our lives God-centered and proceed;
Avoiding sins, we must perform good deeds;
God will provide whatever things we need;
Let’s not worry if suffering exceeds!

Each Marriage Anniversary must show,
God’s love and help our love on earth to grow!

Sonnet: Senescence

All love to reach a ripe old age in life;
A long life-span is Maker’s gift to some;
Attaining hundred years is not so rife;
To most, a peaceful death is just welcome.

Old age gives time to think and pray to God;
Past memories of good and bad days flash;
Diseases, frailty are the only rod;
Some find it difficult to eat or wash.

Some lucky ones are hale and hearty still;
Their loving kith and kin, so often throng;
Some pray that they must never fall down ill;
Some spend their old age engrossed in some song.

Not all old-timers leave the world quite fast;
In somnolence profound, some breathe their last!

Dedicated to all old persons, who keep their cheer.

Better Not to Ask God ‘Why?

What for I came here is unclear to me?
Why did God bring me to this place isn't known?
Am I doing things as He wanted me?
Despite all odds, I know I am quite fine!

The ways of God are strange, ill-understood!
Nevertheless, God does whatev'r is good;
There is no need to waste time or to brood;
Just do our duty sincerely, we should!

The way God thinks, no human being can;
God's wisdom is more perfect than a man's;
Fulfill His purpose, man should in life-span;
A holy God wants man to be sin sans!

There is no way of saying ‘no' to God;
The things He expects may seem sometimes odd;
For labour done, He surely will reward;
Remember God is Master and the Lord!

Worry

Friend worry is just Satan’s ploy, to rob you of your God given joy.
He may say that you have control, as he desires to ruin your soul.
Worry not; a command of The Lord, by many simply goes ignored.
Seek first The Kingdom of God, this He says with a confident nod.

Also seek His Righteousness, and He will fill your heart with bliss.
Seek Him first, my dear friend, and all will be yours come the end.
Your concerns to Him just release, and He’ll fill you with His peace.
His Peace that comes from above, comes with His unceasing Love.

Worrying friend will never achieve, what Satan leads you to believe
Not only is worry a waste of time, it robs you of your peace of mind.
Worrying will not add to your life, but fill your heart with undue strife,
Giving your heart unneeded grief, instead of delivering to you relief.

My friend, be not one of little faith, while you anxiously contemplate,
Fearing what may be next in life, which only adds to unneeded strife.
Think upon everything God does, to fill your heart instead with trust,
Christ at work in your daily deeds, is there supplying all your needs.

Look at all the birds up in the air, which feed and live without a care,
And how God clothes all the grass, which only for one season lasts.
The Lord who cares for all the earth, placed on you a special worth,
So friend, worry not about your life, simply give it all to Jesus Christ.

Sonnet: I’m for all Time!

I’m not of any age but for all time;
My life is not just mine but for all men;
I take up humanity’s causes prime;
I seek not earthly rewards but heaven!

I know my words have magical power;
They serve to make a good human being;
Like beauty, fragrance of a rose flower,
I write to change the heart of each earthling.

My poems soothe the minds afilled with grief;
The pathos gives way onto newer mirth;
The music gives so many, great relief;
To better thoughts of living, they give birth.

But all the same, I do this not for me;
But for His sake, my Maker, heavenly!

Sonnet: Don’t You Worry

Some things may happen unexpectedly;
No need to fret or fume or feel depressed;
All things do happen for our good only;
Let’s hope that life makes feel less repressed.

We should not change in ways the world expects;
We must not change if principles are lost;
We can adjust to things if world respects;
For everything, there is a risk and cost!

Don’t you worry as God decides all things;
Just take the things as they come up to you;
None can predict the time and things, life brings;
Life brings problems and apt solutions too.

All things in life are transient, ev’n if long;
We have to do things right and not the wrong!

Sonnet: Think Less: Work More!

Don’t think of things you can’t well think about;
So many things our minds can’t ponder still;
The wise won’t waste their precious time in doubt;
Reveal in His own time most things, God will!

No one can delve in any field to depths;
God made each creature with a perfect touch;
According to our labor, yield results;
The human brain has limitations much.

There is no point in thinking endlessly;
Our time on earth is finite and too short;
Our duty must be done most selflessly;
Our days of life are leased by God, not bought!

So, spend your days most usefully, O man!
To change our destiny, only God can!

All Are Precious

Every child’s, a precious one!
Every spouse, a precious one;
Every sibling, a precious one;
For, most have small, a family norm!

Every parent’s, a precious one!
Every student’s, a precious one!
Every teacher, a precious one;
For, most have small, a family norm!

Every worker’s, a precious one!
Every inmate, a precious one;
Every colleague, a precious one;
For, most have small, a family norm!

Every person’s, a precious one!
Every life, a precious one;
Every soul, a precious one;
For, most have small, a family norm!

So, take all care of every life,
And don’t take undue risks at all;
Life’s most precious thing on earth;

And There is... a Brick

And there is a brick
A wall that not speak
Silent and still
and doesn't have any will

That is a brick
Some may pray, some may weep
Some kick the brick

That is a brick
Shield not to hurt
Human that lock their minds

But let the brick
takes the wind of change
without regretting
what both sides couldn't send

Good Friendship

In friendship lies, life’s beauty prime –
A bond that stands the test of time,
And withstands every change of clime.

Good friendship makes life worth living;
Than taking, life is in giving –
The crux of friendship, worth telling!

Our earthly life would be a bore,
Without good friendship at its core:
That takes each person to the fore!

Though parents care for their children,
And relatives for kith and kin,
Yet, friends usher on earth, heaven!

Happy the ones, who have good friends!
Their worries in life, almost ends:
In need, good friend always attends.

And without friends, life could be sad,
And make all events, pretty bad,
And turn some persons, almost mad!

Good friends are rarely found in life,
And help you timely in your strife –
Some turning husband or your wife!

Nurture good friendship if you can;
Essential are friends good, man:
Those add spice to your earth’s life-span.

A good friend is a...

Divine gift in earthly life;
Boon in life’s situations;
Helper in times of needs;
Consolation in times of grief;
Fountain of joy and happiness;
Source of inspiration and guidance;
Companion for a life-time;
Gateway to air your feelings;
Soul to share your opinions and secrets;
Precious addition to your family;
De-stressor in distress;
Comfort in life’s travail;
Guide to personality;
Wealth that is rarely found and hardly gained!

Life……

Always give more to life, never count the gifts we gave..
Do keep a count of sweet memories, cause they are all we save..
Never ask too much from life, never be too keen to take..
Read the book called 'Life', learn from the mistakes we make..

We tend to curse our life, when life brings us pain..
Do ever we bless our life, when life brings peace and sain..
Big joys don't matter to us, small problems hurt too much..
We count the knock out punches, we forget the gentler touch..

Life is always a wish, we pray for better then best..
We seek self satisfaction, we end up neglecting the rest..
Life is a roller coaster ride, full of twist and turn..
each ride should bring more smiles, each turn should have more fun..

Life is fighting a war, some battles are won while others are lost..
Loosing may cause some pain, but winning comes at a greater cost..
Life is an individual sport, it depends on how we play..
Winning and loosing should not matter, take new challenges everyday..

Life is a sweet smile, life is a salty tear..
Life is the heart of courage, life is our darkest fear..
Life seeks for true love, Life needs our trust..
Everything for life is an option, for us all that is must..

Life is a tower of cards, you need to build it slow..
Life can fall apart to pieces, with a gentle blow..
Life is a silent river, lay in its flow and let it drift..
Respect life, if you respect god for life is his greatest gift..

Don't count moments in life, Cherish the life each moment brings to you..
Life can mold in different shapes, it depends on what we do..
Time is the greatest healer, if this is really true..
Keep good faith in life, and life will have faith in you..

Sonnet: To Dear Invinciblz on Teacher's Day

Just few months from now on, life sure will change;
Your learning as a medico may end;
Your doctor's training starts in newer range;
Your medical degree, you must defend!

So, put your theory learnt to practice soon;
Your patients serve to give you bed-side ken;
Time spent in library will turn your boon;
Remember, you're elite men and women!

Your professional knowledge must go sky-high!
Your labour shouldn't reduce in any way;
Awaits a world of competition, nigh;
Life's enjoyment ought to be kept at bay!

You aim for excellence in treating sick;
Experience is throughout life, a pick!

Life is not always perfect

life can be ****ed up,
but what can we do?
whine and cry
because the things we want
you can't have?
or just change the way
you see life?
life can be unfair,
why let it bring you down?
you can't change what happens,
or what's going to happen,
you control your life,
nobody else
so to place blame on somebody,
only shows,
that you have no courage
to take responsibity,
for the way your life was going
fight through when times get hard,
why cry when nothing will change?
the people who are gone,
will never return,
that guy that broke your heart,
will fall in love again,
why should you remain,
trapped in the past,
plus everything you want to change,
only to find,
it was out of your reach to begin with,
except for....
Right here and Right now,
because what matters the most,
is when you realize,
that life not as bad as you thought,
when you find that person inside,
that know pain is part of life journey,
even though life sucks,
you have to fight through it,
without letting it get the best of you.

A Special Poem to My Dear Wife (on Valentine’s Day,2010)

For twenty years, you’ve been my wife;
By now, you are almost my life!
You seem more precious than my wealth;
You are my mind’s and body’s health!

Life’s road, we’d traveled was quite rough;
Denied, we’ve been, a heart laugh;
Nevertheless, it was quite good;
The test of time, our marriage stood!

Our dreams are coming true, my dear;
With God, our side, we need not fear;
With ensuing, quite good, a clime,
We surely can make up lost time!

The future looks so rosy, sure;
Life’s travail will receive a cure;
Let worry not disturb our cheer;
Let confidence work out like beer.

Our ‘success days’ are very nigh;
To ‘failure years’, let’s say, ‘Good-bye! ’
Let’s cheer up, baby, dance and wine;
I am your one true valentine!

Let’s leave our world of woes behind;
By bonds of love in life, we bind;
The future looks indeed so bright;
Let us renew our love tonight.

Today is also, my birthday;
World’s people make merry, this day;
This is the day for all to say,
With kisses, hugs, ‘I love you! ’ Aye.

Fondly dedicated to my beloved wife, Mercy,
On Valentine’s Day, my birthday.

Sonnet: ‘Get well soon! ’ Brother-in-law

You are in bed for heart ailment, right now;
You will be better when the morrow dawns;
God’s blessings are upon you and His love;
You will see many more wonderful morns!

Life-giver God has plans for you unknown;
Life-carer God will heal the body’s wounds;
Life-breather God will not leave you alone;
Life-extender God gives you suns and moons!

You don’t worry then, God’s our Master great;
He will not forsake nor abandon us;
The present strife will have to soon abate;
The pain will vanish followed by more bliss!

‘Get well soon! ’ Brother-in-law, we all pray;
The day of healing is not far away!

A Rubric On Belief, Chance And Change

The highest brick wall you will have to scale
Is the one you place before your trail

This world is filled with chance and opportunity
It is up to you, to look and see

Do not feel held back, by false perceptions and beliefs
Reality just is; you will find to your relief.

Pluck up the courage, you never know a ‘yes’ may be waiting around the corner
Worry not if life does not go on perfectly, don’t shut out the world, and become a loner

You will be the greater, if you own up to your mistakes
It will change your fate

The beauty of people is that you can change their hearts, win their minds
Today, a brick wall of animosity
Tomorrow, a brick of humanity.
