Sonnet: Helmet-wearing Does Save Lives
A priceless brain resides within the skull,
From which the neural control reach each part!
–A living computer that takes each call,
And keeps all organs working fine, and heart.
A brain that’s smashed in accidents can’t work,
Nor can damaged a brain-box serve purpose;
Surrounding waters take brain off each jerk:
Protect each part in correct ways, God does.
When science has shown brain-injuries so rife,
Can be averted wearing helmets good,
Why not protect your God-given one life,
By putting proper cover like a hood?
Like how a shield protects one from a knife,
Yes, helmet-wearing saves your limbs and life!
‘Helmet-wearing does save lives! ’

Bad Brain
I used to be an A student
I never used to complain
I used to be a truant
But I'm still the same
Bad bad brain
Bad bad brain
I used to go to parties
I used to drink champagne
Now I'm beginning to feel the strain
Bad bad brain
I used to be in show biz
I used to have fortune and fame
I used to have pleasure and pain
I used to have a name
Bad bad brain
Now I'm on the Bowery
I can't remember my name
Bad bad brain

The Human Brain and Accidents
Each thought and act of man is born
Within the brain’s cortex neuron;
To do a thing right / wrong is one
Decided by inhibition.
When good prevails over those bad,
It makes a person always glad;
When evil functions turns one mad,
The outcome is so very sad.
God gives full freedom to do things
To paupers, subjects, queens and kings
Alike, and satisfaction springs
In minds and hearts of all earthlings!
The brain is vital-most organ,
And has to function through life-span;
The conscience is prime in man;
To use it always then, all can.
The bloodless brain is defunct one;
A brain-dead person’s life is gone;
To live like this, no one is born;
Yet, accidents make life forlorn!
Yes, accidents kill most persons;
Don’t take more risks; use common-sense;
Why worry much and make life tense?
Why spoil the eye’s God-given lense?
To live a vegetable life
Is detestable-most, a strife;
Why cut the thread of life by knife,
When natural deaths are almost rife?

I think a good movie would be about a guy who's a brain scientist, but he gets hit on the head and it damages the part of the brain that makes you want to study the brain.

I Love Your Brain
He was hurting for the answers
He was serving up the questions
He was searching for a guru he was lucky that he knew you
When I saw your fine physique I was into you like a train
And I love it when you speak youre so urbane
Oh, I love your brain
Yes, I love your brain
Ooh, I love your brain
Im gonna say it again
Love your brain
Its a beautiful brain
I wanna be with your brain
I wanna sleep with your brain
She was looking like a roman
She was cooking it with fire
She was talking right to me
And I couldnt unglue me
Though I am no duke of earl you are my chatelaine
I love the way the world drives you insane

Irony And Unthinkability
Just like football helmets that create
illusions of invulnerability
irony can’t truly mitigate
the trauma of unthinkability.
Lacking helmets football would not be
the game it is, but they do not protect
the wearer any more than irony
protects politically the incorrect.
The trauma that’s inflicted when a skull
is fractured is no less than the concussion
that’s suffered by those people who are dull,
but miss the irony of a discussion.
Inspired by an article in the WSJ on November 11,2009 (Is It Time to Retire the Football Helmet? New Research Says Small Hits Do Major Damage—and There's Not Much Headgear Can Do About It, by Reed Albergotti and Shirley S. Wang) :
This football season, the debate about head injuries has reached a critical mass. Startling research has been unveiled. Maudlin headlines have been written. Congress called a hearing on the subject last month. As obvious as the problem may seem (wait, you mean football is dangerous?) , continuing revelations about the troubling mental declines of some retired players—and the ongoing parade of concussions during games—have created a sense of inevitability. Pretty soon, something will have to be done. But before the debate goes any further, there's a fundamental question that needs to be investigated. Why do football players wear helmets in the first place? And more important, could the helmets be part of the problem? 'Some people have advocated for years to take the helmet off, take the face mask off. That'll change the game dramatically, ' says Fred Mueller, a University of North Carolina professor who studies head injuries. 'Maybe that's better than brain damage.'
The first hard-shell helmets, which became popular in the 1940s, weren't designed to prevent concussions but to prevent players in that rough-and-tumble era from suffering catastrophic injuries like fractured skulls. But while these helmets reduced the chances of death on the field, they also created a sense of invulnerability that encouraged players to collide more forcefully and more often. 'Almost every single play, you're going to get hit in the head, ' says Miami Dolphins offensive tackle Jake Long. What nobody knew at the time is that these small collisions may be just as damaging. The growing body of research on former football players suggests that brain damage isn't necessarily the result of any one trauma, but the accumulation of thousands of seemingly innocuous blows to the head…
Nonetheless, the strongest argument for the helmet may turn out to be an economic one. The NFL is shaped around the notion that players can run into each other at high speeds without consequence. It's the same sort of idea that has made Nascar the nation's most popular form of motorsport. And beyond all this, there's the very real question of whether the prospect of serious mental impairment later in life will ever discourage people from playing the game—let alone watching. 'Without the helmet, they wouldn't hit their head in stupid plays, ' says P. David Halstead, technical director for the Nocsae, the group that sets helmet-safety standards. But without helmets, the game 'wouldn't be football, ' he says.

A Trinity
the brain, mind and me
it has to be a trinity
three entities sailing
the cosmos trying
to outdo each other
the brain is generous
letting the mind wander
in and out while me - i -
try to work out the best deal
in the crowdy sojourn
the brain tinkles with
god's act of
predestination
sealed in tightly, foolproof
you think you are in control
yet in the end you have to
concur you are way out of hand -
one mystic takes you
by the head, one other
slips in and out
the brain keeps itself known
sometimes in touch
sometimes out,
sometimes even trying
to let you know
the pool of secrets
it holds over you
all nervous you could only wish
you are out of this bewildering
soul draining situation

To One Who Bade Him Work
EACH day Work bids my heart anew,
Fold wings and watch my brain at play;
But brain and heart will fly your way,
And find their natural home in you!
Come to me--'tis the only way!
For heart and brain have had to learn
Such carrier-pigeon feats of flight,
That were you here, my heart's delight,
My brain and heart to Work would turn,
Spread wings, and flutter from your sight.

Limit
Tempo!
Limit;
My brain,
Your brain,
Einstein's brain! !
In common,
But, to drive us apart with negative minds.
Tempo!
Limit;
My brain,
Your brain,
Einstein's brain! !
In common,
But to hold us together with positive works.
Toad, load, road, broad!
Ignominious,
Tent, intent;
test, attest;
Mutter, butter, cutter, utter, gutter, putter! !
But, let us all try to do positive works only in this life.

The brain makes you perish.
An autocrat brain works fast,
Senses no danger and sooner
Would perish..
A democrat brain balances
Its move to reactions and soon
Would perish.
A monarch brain stays up,
Earns name and in saving it,
Would perish.
A slavery brain toils,
Lags behind and later
Would perish.
Your brain is the cause
Of your disaster.

Gain Using Brain
Think carefully thrice
Throw decisions' dice
On the fine brain-floor
Success will knock at your door
You must be brave
Do not think about the grave
Surely from worry-fever
You will soon recover
The World you must leave
But before leaving, you must leave
Principles for ambitious youth
Living in East, West, North and south
Make cowardice face death
For this stop fear's breath
Valuable thoughts you must contribute
Forever then the World will pay tribute
If thought -fertilizers are scant
How can grow brain-plant?
Let brain make the right move
Then only obstacles you can remove
Wonderful plans brain can easily invent
Any hardship it can surely circumvent
A sharp brain is hard-work's gift
For coming up in life, it is the lift
Man has developed great cultures
Remain the same all other creatures
The obvious reason is brain
Thinking is to the brain grain
Life-river when you cross
Hindrances will come across
So skilfully construct the brain-bridge
Keep guiding thought-boards in the edge
If brain remains dull and negative
How can actions become superlative?
Brain is the basic root
That gives sweet success-fruit
If life-land is arid
Sweat can help get rid
Of aridity which is a success -killer
Provided brain becomes an expert-tiller.

We Grow And We Die
May we die as we have delivered,
Natures of the brain are compact;
Nested in the rights of Our Word
Is the brilliant brain and the well-spoken heart.
May we die like the spring and not winter;
Offered to the mind is the brain,
For they both grow with each other,
Finding strength to resolve a certainty
That we have delivered.
The death of someone is a brain,
The mind has much to consider.

Brain or heart?
Brain or heart?
Losing your heart for someone?
No, losing your brain for someone.
Falling in love gives euphoric feelings,
Which stems from brain and not heart.
The concept of love is formed
By top-down and bottom-up process,
That connects the brain and the heart
Through sensory nerves and hence so.

Well-Adjusted- Don't Be-Brain-Stuffing
To be well adjusted
can be a terrible thing
for where am I to dream
what does not yet exist
if I am only focused
upon what currently is?
And where in this
is to come to be
Creativity?
It can be a terrible thing
to be adjusted
because the mind
becomes hard-wired
to only what we
have personally experienced-
when I am out to discover
what is different from me?
No small thing this:
sailors die on the open sea
because their hard-wired minds
think that they need to find land
for fresh-water
making them forget
that they can catch fish
and drink.
Adjusted means
thinking like all the others think
knowing they will punish those
who dare to utter something
different from the orthodoxy.
Takes a strong mind
and character
to really think
differently
from what the others
keep
saying you
should think.
Protect that brain:
don't let the others
fill it in
for you,
find your own stuffing
to put in there
after all
you have to
all your life
live with it.
So open up
the Brain-Door
spend at least
five hours
a day
day-dreaming
that is how the Brain
wards off
Brain-Stuffing.
This what Einstein did-
five hours a day
you can see
how good
he did.

At The Back Of The Brain.
At the back of the brain a picture lies
Of all we have been and done,
And ever and then a color flames
In the shadow of thought's sun.
At the back of the brain our life-tale's writ
In wondrous words and fine,
And poet and painter but mimic it,
Your life, my friend, and mine.
They are God's spies it may be, yet
They lack the art to limn
The back of the brain of a man that moves
And makes a dream of him.

SUICIDE SUICIDE IN MY BRAIN
SUICIDE IS THE WAY
I CANNOT BEAR THE PAIN
I WILL KILL MYSELF BY DRINKING POISON
FOR MY LIFE DOES NOT HAVE A REASON
SUICIDES NOT THE WAY PLEASE USE YOUR BRAIN
FROM COMMITING SUICIDE THERES NOTHING YOU WILL GAIN
PRAY TO GOD YOU WILL DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE
FOR YOUR LIFE DOES HAVE A SPECIAL PURPOSE
YOU’LL KILL YOUR BODY NOT YOUR SOUL
IF YOU SUICIDE YOU ARE A FOOL
ONLY GOD IS THERE TO TAKE YOUR LIFE
SO PLEASE DON’T CUT YOUR WRIST
THROW AWAY THE KNIFE
ALL RIGHT THEN I HAVE MADE MY DECISION
I WAS WRONG I WAS MISTAKEN
I WILL NOT SUICIDE TO GO TO HELL
I WILL LIVE LONGER AND WORK FOR HEAVE

Brain Dead
Turn me off
Pull the plug
Leave me with some dignity
I am not
What I was
And I dont need the sympathy
Alive inside me
No one can hear me
Brain dead
Im not
Brain dead
Sentenced
Forgot
Paralysed
In my shell
Enduring every
Endless day
Immobilized
On my back
Aware of everything
They say
Extricate me
Eliminate me
Brain dead
Im not
Brain dead
Drip fed
Forgot
I cant blink my eye or cry
Or even speak
They crowd around my bed
Condescending words are said
Thinking I dont hear or know
What is going on - hello!
Cant you suckers hear my cries
From inside Im still alive
Its my decision to abort
Turn off the goddamn life support
Let me pass
From this world
So I fade away in peace
Comprehending
Unrelenting
Brain dead
Im not
Brain dead
Sentenced
Forgot
Brain dead
Im not
Brain dead
Drip fed
Forgot

Brain
Lord giveth the brain
To be sane
Which we all
Have profaned.
Made amongst us
Few insane
Mirrored reflection
For the sane.
But this brain
Of the sane
Has become
A source of bane.
Boon!
For him
Who
Lacks the brain.
No I, No my
No boundaries
To restrict
The flight.
Oh brain
Why
Thou has
This animal tamed.

Water On The Brain
(hicks / clarke / nash)
Ive just come in from out of the rain
Its wet outside the water runs down a drain
I go to bed cause my heads full of pain
And drip drip its driving me wild
Drip drip its driving me wild
Outside the window theres a pipe wearing thin
It lets the water do a dance on a tin
I try to sleep but its making a din
And drip drip its driving me wild
Drip drip its driving me wild
Water on the brain water on the brain
Water on the brain water on the brain
Drip drip its driving me wild
Drip drip its driving me wild
I toss and turn and my patience is weak
Go to the bathroom door and I take a peak yeah
The bath tap has started a leak
And drip drip its driving me wild
Drip drip its driving me wild
Drip drip its driving me wild
Drip drip its driving me wild

Brain Shake
Alright, hold tight
I really want to ball tonight
On my fender, no space defender
I enjoy it on the floor, I get it tight
Toe to toe with the blood below
Fee fia foo smell the blood of rock n roll
All night drive on the rockin suicide
My feet are jumping, shes a joy to ride
Joy to ride, a joy to ride
Shes an all night drive on the rockin suicide
And its a brain shake, brain shake, brain shake
All I can take
Brain shake, brain shake, brain shake
Shes a mean lean rocking machine
A hip hugging blue jean dream
Shes a one horse town (? ) with a sweet sweet kiss
Her hips are right around me
And its toe to toe with the blood below
Fee fia foo smell the blood of rock n roll
All night drive on the rockin suicide
My feet are jumping, shes a joy to ride
Joy to ride, a joy to ride
Shes an all night drive on the rockin suicide
And its a brain shake, brain shake, brain shake
Ready to shake
Brain shake, brain shake, brain shake
Its a brain shake brain shake brain shake
For mercy sake
Brain shake, brain shake, brain shake
Shes a joy to ride
Joy to ride, a joy to ride
Shes an all night drive on the rockin suicide
