SONNET: By way of the 'SAT
Oh what a marvel, world has found today?
The INTERNET has brought all people close;
One can connect anyone in some way;
Mankind had gained and no one had to lose!
A stranded man in desert can contact,
A person of his choice and get his aid;
Rescue a man from anywhere's, a fact;
One can buy or sell or trade or be paid.
The world communicates through Satellite;
One can send any data in this way;
The Cell-phone is becoming rather light;
The world has turned the night a part of day!
The world can watch a war while being fought!
Like every invention, 'tis danger fraught.

World
The time is right for decision
The time is right for those with something to say
This is the world I envision
The type of world where people aren't afraid
What in the world have we done
What in the world...
The time is right for revision
The time is right for revolution today
This is a world in sedition
This is a world that hasn't found its way
What in the world have we done
What in the world...
What in the world have we done
What in the world...
No time to fight for permission
No time is right for those who hesitate
This is a world in atrition
The world we live in is the world we make
What in the world have we done
What in the world...
What in the world have we done
What in the world...

When the cell phone was born
Something happens
When the cell phone was born
Beyond sex and gender
Beyond race and religion
Beyond economic status
Each hand holds
This thing
And says
hi!
Hello, how are you doing?
To every extreme end
Of this world
From the north to the South Pole
Passing by the equator
The world now is
Too small
Too near
Your cell phone is ringing
Then,
This internet thing…..
Write it.

People Talk Of Love...
In today's world of greed,
In today's world of fraud,
In today's world of broken relations,
People talk of true love.
In today's world of materialism,
In today's world of selfishness,
In today's world of distress,
People talk of true love.
In today's world of mishappenings,
In today's world of misunderstandings,
In today's world of one- night stands,
People talk of true love.
People have the right to love;
If they honour the values and culture.
People have the right to love;
If they know the need of each other.
and people have the right to love
If they have faith that one day they 'll be together.

The MoonWalker
Here lies The Moonwalker
The greatest of all performers
The one who inspired the whole world
And brought us closer together
Here lies The Moonwalker
The greatest vocal artist
Whom he himself suffered
But still brought our world together
Here lies The Moonwalker
The greatest dancer of all time
He was diagnosed with vertigo
And still brought our world together
Here lies The Moonwalker
One of the best human right fighters that ever lived
Whom himself was accused and trialled
But still brought our world together
Here lies The Moonwalker
Who without a choice was turned a different colour
Who was convicted and discriminated
And still brought our world together
Here lies The Moonwalker
Who was cheated and lied to
Whose children were forced to were masks
But still brought our world together
Here lies The Moonwalker
Who performed his heart and soul
Who millions of people idolized
But still brought our world together
HERE LIES THE MOONWALKER
Who donated over $150,000,000 to the sick, hungry and poor
His songs were amazing amongst them were:
Man in the Mirror, Will you be There and Heal the World
These songs are all based on life....
Michael Jackson Brought The World Closer Together

Your World
How can you lose your world, as the world is you yourself?
Why you lose your dreams
If they are so beautiful?
Why the tears fall down from your eyes
And disappear in the ground?
Why your heart breaks
If its beats represent life?
But how can you lose your world, as the world is you yourself?
Then why you lose your world
If love is your world?
Why your eyes full with tears
If your eyes are so beautiful?
Why sorrow comes
After every happiness?
And how can you lose your world, as the world is you yourself?
As life is nothing but ups and downs
You feel pain and cry,
And you forget everything with the time.
If you do not gain anything, you do not lose anything too.
So, how can you lose your world, as the world is you yourself?
Oh it’s nothing but life!
No one can become your world
You yourself is the whole world for you.
So, how can you lose your world, as the world is you yourself?
Tears trickle down your cheeks like droplets of rain,
And after every sorrow happiness comes
And after every sunset there is a sunrise
So, how can you lose the world, as the world is you yourself?
Im In The World
(nickolas ashford/valerie simpson)
Im in the world
Im in the world
Im in the world
I must be part of it
At last convinced
To the right of it
Im in the world
For some reason or another
Sometimes I get up
And sometimes I dont bother
But Im here
Im here for, oh lord, who knows?
My light gets dim
Then it glows, ooh yeah
Im in the world
Im in the world
Im in the world
And being what it is
Ive learnt to look
To look beyond the tears
Im in the world
Though hearts dont break even
Ill take my chances
cause it aint about leaving
Im here
Im here and I wont apologize
Maybe at the end therell be a surprise
Oh, yeah
cause Im in the world
Good or bad
Im in the world
Yes, Im here
Im in the world
Im here, Im here
Im in the world
Im in the world
Im here
Im in the world
Oh, yes, oh, yes
Im in the world
Good or bad
Im here in the world

Satellite Of Love
In this world as we know it
Sorrows come and go
Now we see the human race
Has put its footprints on the moons face
Satellites gone up to the sky
But its not as nice as looking in your eyes
Woh, take it for a little while
No, I could watch it on tv, yeah
Satellite of love, oh, satellite of love
Satellite of love, satellite of
Satellites gone up to the sky
And its going to drive me out of my mind
Woh, take it for a little while
No, I can watch it on tv, yeah
Satellite of love, satellite of love
Satellite of love, satellite of
Ive been told, baby, youve been bold
To winkin, blinkin and nod
Monday, tuesday, wednesday and thursday
To winkin, blinkin and nod
Satellite of love, satellite of love
Satellite of love, satellite of
Satellite of love
Satellite of love, its just a little bit of
A satellite of love

One World
One world is enough
For all of us
One world is enough
For all of us
It's a subject we rarely mention
But when we do we have this little invention
By pretending they're a different world from me
I show my responsibility
One world is enough
For all of us
One world is enough
For all of us
The Third World breathes our air tomorrow
We live on the time we borrow
In our world there's no time for sorrow
In their world there is no tomorrow
One world is enough
For all of us
One world is enough
For all of us
Lines are drawn upon the world
Before we get our flags unfurled
Whichever one we pick
It's just a self deluding trick
One world is enough
For all of us
One world is enough
For all of us
I don't want to bring a sour note
Remember this before you vote
We can all sink or we all float
'Cos we're all in the same big boat
One world is enough
For all of us
It may seem a million miles away
But it gets a little closer everyday
One world...

Busy Bee
Everybodys alright with me
Possibly youll disagree
Busy bee watch the world go by
Everybodys alright with me
Thats just the way I choose to be
Everybodys on my mind
Cant sit aside and watch this world go by
That aint me
Chorus x2
Busy bee watch the world go by
Everybody does their time
The people walk in crooked lines
Everybodys got their choice
But often we dont use our voice
Chorus x4
Busy bee watch the world go by
How could you be so blind?
Some people they just aint satisfied
Watch the world go by
I always hear the school bell ring
Let the children dance and sing
Just let us find whats been lost
So many people get torn and tossed away
Chorus x3
World go bye x3
Watch the world go bye x3
Nice ending bit
Everybodys alright with me

Peace (oh my)
Peace
Peace (all around the world)
Peace (it's what I pray for)
Peace (oh my)
Peace
Peace (hurry)
Come on in this house children
The war has started
Light the candles right now
It's about to be darkness, oh yeah
There's no telling when the sun will shine again, no
When it's over there's a question asked
Who wins? Who wins?
Spirit (ooh)
Through the land (ooh)
Spirit of peace (ooh)
Oh yeah (ooh)
Spirit move (ooh)
Oh move (ooh)

Turn your head, close your eyes
There's people out there dying, oh
With so much wealth in the land
Why is this thing staving? Oh
As I look over this place
There's so much hatred
If I could I'd pack my bags
And hitch hike to heaven, yeah
Spirit move (ooh)
Oh move (ooh)
Spirit move (ooh)
All through the land (ooh)
Won't you move (ooh)
Oh move, oh move, oh move (ooh)
Oh move, yeah (ooh)
This is what I prayer for (ooh)
Peace (for peace)
Peace (all around the world)
Peace (whoa)

Message In A Bottle
Just a castaway
An island lost at sea
Another lonely day
With no one here but me
More loneliness
Than any man could bear
Rescue me before I fall into despair
Ill send an sos to the world
Ill send an sos to the world
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
A year has passed since I wrote my note
But I should have known this right from the start
Only hope can keep me together
Love can mend your life
But love can break your heart
Ill send an sos to the world
Ill send an sos to the world
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
Walked out this morning
Dont believe what I saw
A hundred billion bottles
Washed up on the shore
Seems Im not alone at being alone
A hundred billion casatways
Looking for a home
Ill send an sos to the world
Ill send an sos to the world
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
Sending out an sos

Blue World
Heart and soul took control
Took control of me
Paid my dues spread the news
Hands across the sea
Put me down turned me round
Turned me round to see
Marble halls open doors
Someone found the key
And its only what you do
That keeps coming back on you
And its only what you say
That can give yourself away
Underground sight and sound
Human symphony
Heard the voice had no choice
Needed to be free
Fly me high touch the sky
Left the earth below
Heard the line saw the sign
Knew which way to go
Cos its easier to try
Than to prove it cant be done
And its easier to stay
Than to turn around and run
Its a blue world
It takes somebody to help somebody
Oh its a blue world
Its a new world
It needs somebody to love somebody
Oh its a blue world
Heart and soul took control
Took control of me
Paid my dues spread the news
Hands across the sea
Put me down turned me round
Turned me round to see
Marble halls open doors
Someone found the key

Today
Yesterday, just a dream i don't remember
Tomorrow, still a hope i've yet to endure
I'm out of time
I'm out of rhyme
I'm out of reason
Season's change and leave me out in the cold
The story's old
The tale been told by many scholars
Got a fistful of dollar
And a pocketful of love
God above if you hear me cryin'
I've tried to sell my soul
But no one's buyin'
Lord, strike me down now if i'm lyin'
It's gettin' cold
It's time for dyin.
Chorus
Come on and watch me shine
Like the world is mine (check it out) today
Come on and watch me shine (check it out)
Like the world is mine today
Watch me shine (check it out)
Let the man who's free from sin
Cast the first stone and begin the violence
Let the man whose words ring true
Speak on up till his voice breaks through the silence
Let the ones who lose their way
Live to see just one more day in the sunshine
Let the ones who choose to stray
Recognize the price they'll pay
In their lifetime
Chorus
Come on and watch me shine
Like the world is mine (check it out) today
Come on and watch me shine (check it out)
Like the world is mine today
Watch me shine (check it out)
Sittin here waitin' for my roads to cross
You nail me down and you watch me bleed
So lay my head against the earth
Plant my body like a seed
You can't always get the things you want, love (check it out)
You get what you deserve
Or maybe what you need
So fill my hole with precious dirt, love
Till the soil and plant the weed
Chorus
Come on and watch me shine
Like the world is mine (check it out) today
Come on and watch me shine (check it out)
Like the world is mine today
Watch me shine (check it out)

Response to Merton: Balandi and Alkaocai
To choose the world is to choose to do the work I am capable of doing,
in collaboration with my brother and sister, to make the world better, more free,
more just, more livable, more human. And it has now become transparently
obvious that mere automatic 'rejection of the world' and 'contempt for the world'
is in fact not a choice but an evasion of choice.'
Thomas Merton. Contemplation in A World of Action
Our world is
bleeding out
filling the sea
with stolen
humanity
Why should I not
reject this contemptible
world?
Last night
in Kahdahar's shadow
Fear smashed open
the simple doors
of Balandi and Alkaozai
as an American soldier
defiled
the mothers and children
of two nations,
spread thick their blood
and painted red
this sinful
world.

This is the World,
This is the World,
This is the World hast seen it,
This is us making that day,
The World is all on the run,
We are able to capture minority with love,
This is the World hast seen,
Looking at the World today,
This is what I perceive,
That mankind is all able to achieve more and more,
This is the Understanding,
That we are perfected in right than wrong,
This is the New World that will give us a Remedy.

The World Is In Pain
This world was once as bright as gold
With happy people young and old
But then as the people tell
To the evil goodness began to sell
The world wasn’t as bad as it is
With people’s tears coming out as rain
It wasn’t filled with darkness
It wasn’t like today - The World Is In Pain
And as the darkness began to prevail
So says the story tellers tale
From bad to worse, and worse to worst
It felt as if the whole world would burst
The world wasn’t filled with all sorts of crimes
With all the people going insane
The world wasn’t filled with killers and bandits
It wasn’t like today - The World Is In Pain
Now evil is ruling and angels are dieing
No truth is there and the people are lying
And as the truth is overpowered by lie
Over all places the dark clouds fly
The world wasn’t filled with lies
With search of truth ending in vain
The world wasn’t filled with darkness
It wasn’t like today - The World Is In Pain
