Sonnet: Belittle None

Such distant stars appear like tiny dots!
Who cares for them if starry be night-sky?
A tree can’t grow fully if placed in pots;
Unless ’tis transplanted, it tends to die.

From earth, the clouds though small can obstruct gaze;
When you travel by plane, they look huge size;
The nearest star to reach may take you days;
While from a plane, earths-men look like just mice.

Distance is important in telling size;
Beholder’s eyes too equally matters;
Some men are stupid mostly, sometimes wise;
A beggar wears but clothes in just tatters.

All things are equal in the eyes of God;
And creatures all, He had made from only Clod!

Sonnet: All Men are Equal in God's Eyes

All things on earth are equal 'fore God's eyes;
There ain't a thing thats insignificant;
It does not matter payment or job-size;
All men are equal too who slog or chant.

Take pride in things whatev'r that you may do;
Give respect due to everyone around;
Let money not your earthly conduct woo;
To keep away from evils, men are bound.

Even the beggar will reach God's Abode;
Even the wealthy man could lose His Bliss;
But, keep we must in every way, God's code;
To keep soul pure, we can't afford to miss.

The Ant or Elephant are same for God,
But souled is man alone tho' made from clod.

Beyond The Astral Plane

From books I'd read, I learnt so much
That I thought I was wise...
But all at once felt out of touch
When looked at through God's eyes...
One night upon the Astral Plane
Where I would sometimes go,
My spirit slowly seemed to drain...
How come? I didn't know.

I'd left the Earth to gaze at stars,
The distant suns so bright
And watched the shooting stars that pass
Across the darkest night...
I swam with dolphins there in space,
Beyond their seas and pools...
While angels sang with utmost grace,
Observing all the rules...

But then I heard God's holy voice!
He whispered, 'Calvary...
Forget these visions and their joys...
Repent and pray to Me...'
Then I saw Christ once crucified!
And oh, what tears I wept...
The Astral Plane no more was tried...
For wiser truth I kept...

The Astral Plane? It merely drifts...
With Christ it can't compare!
The Holy Spirit grants His gifts,
Eternity to share...
I've dreamt of Christ... I've seen His love...
There's so much to discuss!
He lives on Earth, He lives above...
To think, Christ died for us...

Relativity

I looked down on a daisied lawn
To where a host of tiny eyes
Of snow and gold from velvet shone
And made me think of starry skies.

I looked up to the vasty night
Where stars were very small indeed,
And in their galaxy of light
They made me think of daised mead.

I took a daisy in my hold;
Its snowy rays were tipped with rose,
And with its tiny boss of gold
I thought--how like a star it glows!

I dreamt I plucked from Heaven's field
A star and held it in my hand.
Said I: "The might of God I wield,
The Great and Small I understand."

For when the All is said and done,
In Time and Space I seem to see
A daisy equal to a sun,
Between heart-beats--Eternity

Somewhere

somewhere you speak of a star
bigger
thirty times
than our star and you say
you have seen it from your
telescope
where you stand
how the star explodes
and then
gone, leaving just a space,
a patch of
black dot
in your eyes,

i do not wish to understand you further
with your calculations
about the risks, the dangers, the consequences
of what happens
in that distant sky

here i am in my daily cares, i remember
feeding corn to the chickens, or cleaning my car, or
frying my cues,
or simply sitting by the stair
and just merely looking at the passing butterfly
hovering
in the summer air

what do i know about distance?
what do i care about distant stars
how they explode and how
the space starts to become empty, and grow another star again?

what i know of is simple enough
i do not know you
anymore, and i think, i am about to explode
and i think
i may become empty like what you are telling me
about that space left by the exploding star

and i am afraid
i am the kind of person
in this place
of the universe
that does not know how to grow a star again
after an explosion

It is only fantasy, not true!

Just imagine that earth is the size of a pinhead,
The universe may be the size of the earth.
when The universe is the size of the earth.
that earth may be the size of a pinhead,
The maximum time difference is less than a day,
Wherever we travel on the earth in pain or gay,
When we travel east or west, we either lose or gain,
A few of hours of the past and the future,
when the morning arrives earlier or later,
While the people, their age and their progress are the same,
But we gain or lose only less than a day on this planet of a pinhead.

When we travel in the universe which is the size of the earth,
How many years and decades that we need to go for a round,
When we travel east and west, we lose and gain in years,
Many years of past and the future that exists at the same moment,
So, when the time travelers return, they wouldn't be younger, not lament,
To look for their gone ancestors in the changed land scape,
As the human wherever they go and whatever they do,
They age at same pause gradually, not one age faster,
The other remain younger during the same period of roster.
I am a time traveler to travel faster to reach the future,
or dig the past, I am always the contemporary human to ponder.

Big and tiny creatures

Big and tiny creatures, are so unique each one,

But they're so amazing each one, out in the noon day sun;

For example, look at the spider, and the web she doth make,

So clever and wonderful, and the time she doth take.

Big and tiny creatures, I am amazed each one I see,

Look at the pigmy possum, trying to hide in a tree;

It's color goes in with the background scene,

But he will cover his steps to hide where he's been.

Big and tiny creatures, do you like the tall giraffe?

To think his neck is so tall, his length is longer than a raft;

Then there's the whale, out in the huge sea,

Moaning and groaning to his mate, amazing do you agree?

Big and tiny creatures, like the tiny crab, or the large hippo,

What about the large elephant, and the tiny ant on the go;

Each one has a job to do, yet both care for their young,

They travel far, travel wide, busy in the hot sun.

Big and tiny creatures, colors some so pretty,

Such as the butterfly, and the flamingo, agree;

Then there is the snakes, and the parrots too,

We should thank God for each one, where thanks is due.

Sonnet: The Drumstick-Tree’s Growth

Look how the drumstick grows in length each day!
It goes so fast as if our eyes can know;
The fruit though small, grows long in Nature’s way,
And in a few days time, ’tis stick-like, oh!

Incredible it looks when fully grown,
From such a small flower, its present size;
God’s marvel makes man appear like a clown,
And yet, man will not agree God is wise.

The bees and butterflies too play their role;
Seeking nectar, they transfer pollen grains;
What umptine fruits cover the tree-like pole!
The lengthy fruits hang down like giant canes!

The drumstick tree shows God’s work at its best;
How much more wonderful, He’s done the rest!

What Could It Be?

At birth it is a rather small
and barely visible at all
identifier for the folks
and butt at times for silly jokes.

It grows, of course, in later years
and on occasion it appears
that it will stand up to attention
though few will point to it or mention
this feat of physiology
some girls do ask 'how can this be? '

The decades take their deadly toll
and if you were to have a poll
you'd keep the size of middle years
because, that's when those little gears
still function freely, cog on cog
and rarely get into a bog.

It's funny, says the narrative
that what starts small can grow so stiff
only to shrink to tiny size.
It must be said that God was wise.

The Plane

when it starts to fly it is being met by this rain.

there is this strong wind ahead of us and some dark clouds
the stewardess announces said state and we are 30,000 feet
above the mountains

yes, these are the bumpy skyways.
i close my eyes. i think of you, the house, the garden, the room,
and the two dogs you are caring.

(will we crash? will this plane fall to the ground? shall we die in an instant?)

i close my eyes.
then the plane steadies. i open my eyes.

there are clear clouds. below is a wide expanse of the blue sea.
i look at the wings of the plane.

and then its wheels touch the ground.
the door opens.

it is another world for me.
i feel the importance of the ground. Its glory. Its reign now.

Starry, Starry Skies

Starry, starry skies
that fill my searching eyes
so distant and so far from me
and yet I feel so close to thee.

Each one that twinkles in the night
brings to me sweet heaven's light.
Oh that I could travel far
and finally touch one shiny star

But I can only stop and stare
and wonder how and why and where.
Wondering, never knowing
how it is you're always glowing
My
Starry, starry skies.

Fireflies in the Garden

Here come real stars to fill the upper skies,
And here on earth come emulating flies,
That though they never equal stars in size,
(And they were never really stars at heart)
Achieve at times a very star-like start.
Only, of course, they can't sustain the part.

The Wonder of God’s Creation

Every cloud is differently shaped;
Every plume has its own beauty;
Every sand is of size unlike the next;
No two leaves are equally green.

Every grain is similar and yet, dissimilar;
Every creature is so ideally made;
Every man differs in many aspects;
Even cloned individuals aren’t alike.

Every river has a changing course;
Every color looks so beautiful;
Every seed is a miniature tree!
No two mountains are of equal height!

Every beast has brain appropriate;
Every being is well-proportioned;
Every man has talents different;
A potter, however skilled, can’t make two pots alike!

Yet, no one knows if two identical things truly exist;
Only the Maker knows such natural freaks;
God made each creature with unfathomed love;
And man was made the best of all!

There’s nothing yet, in man’s powers,
That equals God’s creations;
For, man is just a creature of God,
Though made with soul, in God’s image!

Next Plane To London

Im on the next plane to london
Leaving on runway number five
Next plane to london and Im missing her
That baby of mine
Told her I was gonna be a star
But to do it I would have to go far away
But Ill come back someday
And take her away
Im on the next plane to london
Leaving on runway number five
Next plane to london and Im missing her
That baby of mine
Said that over here I wasnt in
Down in hollywood I couldnt find a friend
Who would help me get in
Or listen to me
Im on the next plane to london
Leaving on runway number five
Next plane to london and Im missing her
That baby of mine
Maybe over there Ill get a start
Only hope by leaving I dont break her heart
The more important part
Than any record on the chart
Next plane to london
Leaving on runway number five
Next plane to london and Im missing her
That baby of mine
Next plane to london
Leaving on runway number five
Next plane to london and Im missing her
Whoa-whoa

The Star outside my window

It was late
I couldn't sleep
The moon lit night was seaping through my window seam
i quietly rolled over on my tummy
as i gazed out at the starry night
i felt so small and weak looking at the millions of stars
just then one star caught my eyes
It was the biggest most spectacular star in the sky
at first i thought it couldn't possibly be a star
i sat still for minutes staring at it
it didn't move
not once
so i closed my eyes in the dead of night
and carefully made my wish to the star outside my fogged up window
i layed back down my eyes blinking shut
a smile on my face
i fell asleep with the sweet though that it might actually come true
that star still shines outside my window every night
my wish never came true

He makes His abode
Huge much His size
The size of cosmos
Sized full His size

That room is small
But His holy house
He makes His abode
But full His size

Dim, dumb, mute occult
Lit hearts light Him
Leaning on a measure
He sleeps wide awake

Lonely boons line lot
Like Kupera for myself
My soul's hunting quest

Shes Actual Size

Words fail
Buildings tumble
The ground opens wide
Light beams down from heaven
She stands before my eyes
Shes actual size, but she seems much bigger to me
Squares may look distant in her rear view mirror but theyre actual size
As she drives away
Big men
Often tremble
As they step aside
I thought I was big once
She changed my mind
Shes actual size, but she seems much bigger to me.
Ive never known anybody like her, shes actual size
Nationwide, believe
Shes got
All the money
Money couldnt buy
Shes got something special
That someone left behind
Shes actual size, but she seems much bigger to me
Squares may look distant in her rear view mirror but theyre actual size
Actual size to her
Her face
Hangs in portrait
On the post office wall
Shes stuck in my heart now
Where my blood belongs
Shes actual size, but she seems much bigger to me
Ive never known anybody like her, shes actual size
Actual size, believe

You think shes big, you think shes larger than life
But if you open up your eyes youll see shes actual size
You think shes big, you think shes larger than life
But if you open up your eyes youll see shes actual
In your mind you have her on a pedestal
You admire her from afar like shes a china doll
You need to realize
Before you ? ? ? ?
So go ahead, approach the girl, it up to you ? ? ? ?
You think shes big, you think shes larger than life
But if you open up your eyes youll see shes actual size

There Was A Time

There was a time when the wide world
seemed immense, when every tree
was gigantic, streams were like rivers
with something celestial
that touching my eyesight
when I was but a child

but now as a man
it’s with different eyes that I look
and although things have taken
their normal size
there are still things that are sublime
that I at times comprehend.

The rainbow with its bright colours
that arc above the earth,
has a kind of magic
which science explains,
but still there’s a kind of mystery
that nothing can really measure.

The rising sun that paints the sky
and clouds in its loveliness,
even the moon and stars
have an own influence
on feelings, on well being
as if in their presence they can bless.

A Special Friend Indeed

You are my guiding star
That God sent along.
So please stay with me,
At least when things go wrong.

I'm glad that god blessed me,
With a caring angel till the end.
A person to take me for a ride,
A person to help me get a girlfriend.

You gonna get married in few days
I can't bear to be apart.
All the restrictions on whole day texting,
Will be too much for my heart.

So stay single my best friend,
You are the one with those cutiepie cheeks and shining eyes
The one that cheers me up,
The one that seems huge in size
But after I met you..
Something really seemed huge
Not your weight..not your stomach
But,
your caring and beautiful heart.

The Book Of Creation

The book of nature open lies,
With much instruction stored;
But till the Lord anoints our eyes
We cannot read a word.

Philosophers have pored in vain,
And guessed, from age to age;
For reason's eye could ne'er attain
To understand a page.

Though to each star they give a name,
Its size and motions teach;
The truths which all the stars proclaim,
Their wisdom cannot reach.

With skill to measure earth and sea;
And weigh the subtle air;
They cannot, Lord, discover thee
Though present everywhere.

The knowledge of the saints excels
The wisdom of the schools;
To them his secrets God reveals,
Though men account them fools.

To them the sun and stars on high,
The flow'rs that paint the field,
And all the artless birds that fly,
Divine instruction yield.

The creatures on their senses press,
As witnesses to prove
Their Saviour's pow'r, and faithfulness,
His providence and love.

Thus may we study nature's book
To make us wise indeed!
And pity those who only look
At what they cannot read.
