Sonnet: After Death

A dead person never requires praise,
Nor does rebuking help to change his ways;
What if he wins or loses any case?
His earthly tenure, none can ev’r efface.

The soul that’s dead needs no awards/rewards,
Or posthumous citations, or birthdays;
What does it matter if they be kings/ bards?
No monument, his achievements repays.

And statues, paintings too will not suffice,
To glorify his works or laud great souls;
Just prayers for the dead souls will be wise,
And pleas to God to save souls from hell’s coals.

Death is a full-stop to our life’s sentence!
Where use we must, our sense and common sense.

Dead Prayers

hearts trek
feet travel to the road
leading to unknown tombs
forgotten by the winding clocks
never remembered by the heart
and troubled souls
reach the unpainted walls
of a moss decorated crypt
and the dead souls
shouts dead prayers
only the dead can understand
what are halloween prayers anyway?
for uncaring bones
became stout by the earth
addicted by the rain of forgetfullness
and drugged by dreams gone wild
of wisdom lost
in a maze of unknown heavens
in a hell never found..
yet it is Halloween
so hearts still murmur
souls still recite
dead prayers for all
dead souls
encaged on dead tombs

Hail To Dead Souls

dead souls wailing in water, frozen like a tide of depression, i lie and wait, howl at the moon, hail to dead souls, wash over me, and take my life away, push this staple into my head, watch my arms fall out over the table, twisted fabel, touch me once, and i'll turn to dust, i give up my life, and give my soul to you, the collector, agony save me, save me from love, love, save me, save me from love and thoughts of their passion, and i'll wait to become my fear suffocating on you. cry cry in slow motion. so sad, so sad, and nothing clinched you, hail to dead souls.

Stop Dead

Stop!
Stop!
Stop dead,
Stop stop stop stop stop stop
I pulled up at a west end junction (seeker of attention)
A full body kit and bass bins pumping (size up competition)
Come on red light, get into green,
I hit the brake, I must be dreaming..
Im stop! (stop), dead! (dead), in my tracks (in my tracks)
Got to fix on you.
Dont wanna loose you, from my sight
Where ya going to?
Gotta know now..
Stop! (stop), dead! (dead), in my tracks (in my tracks)
Got to fix on you.
Dont wanna loose, you from my sight
Where ya going to?
Oh-oh-oh
Ive got my eyes on the action (killer reputation)
Heat crazed in full satisfaction (become a phaser? )
Do what you do and do it to me,
Body in motion, now you see me
(chorus)
Gotta know know.. stop!
Come on now, come on now
Come on now, come on now
Wise up to remain young victim (come on, ways of attraction)
A full scale attack on the system (come on, no one visor? )
Do what you do and do it to me,
Im into red line territory
And im..
(chorus)
Stop!, dead in my tracks again,
Im stop dead in my tracks
Stop!, in my tracks (yeah)
Im stop dead in my tracks
(oh-oh) gotta know know..
Stop! (stop), dead! (dead), in my tracks (in my tracks)
Stop! (stop), dead! (dead), in my tracks (in my tracks)
Stop! (stop), dead! (dead), in my tracks (in my tracks)
Stop! (stop), dead! (dead), in my tracks (in my tracks)
Stop! (stop), dead! (dead), in my tracks (in my tracks)
Stop! (stop), dead! (dead), in my tracks (in my tracks)
Stop! (stop), dead! (dead), in my tracks (in my tracks)

Are They Still Here?

sometimes i question what
has been taught about souls

are they still here?
are they in heaven, and then on All Soul's Day
permitted to visit us
here in our homes?

is there a day when the souls of the dead
and the those who are still leaving
meet and converse
and evaluate what's up?

i like to think, there is still this connection.
Papa telling me what to do and
Mama still comforting me about
what has been done.

And all the souls of my ancestors
for once on this day of the souls
Guiding me towards what pleases them

and what pleases us all,
something that is good and beautiful
and yes, levelling

when the dead and the living are still one
inhabitants all
in God's everlasting grace.

God Amply Blesses Righteous Souls

At last, some things do happen much sought for,
in strange a manner, and in God’s own time;
The world is taken aback by such feats –
those happen by mere trust in Almighty!

God blesses righteous souls in mighty ways!
Our prayers can bring forth miracles quite fast;
God does not forsake nor abandon souls;
His love for righteousness is too steadfast.

The world looks down upon all righteous souls;
Yet, truth triumphs always ultimately;
Our foes and friends cannot believe their eyes;
God showers blessings on His beloved souls.

The righteous win against such heavy odds;
When God does things, He does them perfectly;
Our earthly tries end up in vanity,
But God gives upright souls some thumping wins.

Let worry not engulf one’s heart and mind;
Keep purity of soul foremost in life;
Sin shouldn’t decrease the bond of man with God;
God does great things if one truly deserves!

Remembering the dead

The king has been dead.
The queen has been dead.
So are many kin;
So are my parents.
Do they live by souls?
I’m not sure of it.

Remembering the dead
Is the existence of souls.
Let us remember them
Who have impacted us.

All Souls’ Day

The many ones I knew are hardly seen;
My friends, relatives are in scarce numbers;
Their memories are truly evergreen;
But death has put those souls in deep slumbers!

Most near and dear and loved ones are all gone;
This world looks empty but their graves abound;
They couldn’t be saints but sinned even alone;
Their cemeteries with time are hardly found!

Yet, most had left with venial sins galore;
In Purgatory, God cleanses souls by grace;
They need our prayers to be freed much more;
Like gold refined, souls enter Heaven’s haze!

But fiery love of God can change their roles;
The ones in mortal sins are nearer hell;
God’s mystic mercy could redeem such souls;
The living souls on earth can make them well!

All Souls’ Day comes once in a year for all;
Let’s empty Purgatory by praying hard;
Let’s fast to hasten Almighty God’s call;
Recite the rosary to stay on guard!

God, send your angels soon to fetch all souls;
Their sufferings are much more than on earth;
Let light perpetual shine upon dead souls;
Take them to Your Abode and grant them mirth!

Show mercy Lord, on every soul, we pray!
Let light divine annul the hellish spray;
Forgive them, Jesus Christ, we beg to say;
Ignore their trespasses on Judgment Day!
Lovingly dedicated to all souls on ‘All Souls’ Day! ’

Babylonian Spirit

Today we see the Babylonian Vine, with intoxicating spiritual wine,
Seducing many religious hearts, as from The Truth a soul departs,
From God’s Truth and Foundation, that Cornerstone for Salvation,
Through their religious experience, which is lacking Biblical Sense.

All Truth is found in Christ alone, The Foundation and Cornerstone,
The Only Way, Truth and Life, is found alone through Jesus Christ;
Christ alone is The Narrow Way, opposing the ways we find today,
With many being led astray, on what Christ called the broader way.

Many who are “enlightened” friend, ignore The Truth, about the end,
Enlightened in a new spiritual dawn, through that Spirit of Babylon,
Souls deceived and being misled, by men who are spiritually dead,
Leading many souls down a path, to see not life, but, God’s Wrath.

Christ had told those who believe, that many shall come to deceive,
By deceptive ways they shall claim, to speak the Truth in His Name,
Truly sent from the father of lies, they profess to be spiritually wise,
Guided not by Christ Jesus at all, they guide souls to spiritually fall.

They pervert, The Gospel of Christ, Who, paid for all, The Full Price,
Behind their experience and works, a dark and deceptive spirit lurks,
Complicating God’s Salvation Plan, to mislead, every wayward man,
Is Satan’s desire to simply deceive, all seeking souls, as he did Eve.

Beliefs of the doubtful existent

Caesar has been dead; so has been Brutus.
Gandhi has been dead; so has been Hitler.
Where did their souls, if any, go out?
Where had those souls come from before?
Beliefs of heaven and hell are there,
Neither proved, nor disproved as yet.
As such, suchlike beliefs carry weight.

All Soul’s Day

God, many are the souls that left the earth;
Lord, many were in sin while departing;
The cleansing of souls takes in Purgatory;
Have mercy God and take them to heaven!

Man is not perfect anytime since birth;
Sinfulness fills his heart and mind till death;
Always a prey to Satan’s ploys, he stays;
The purity of soul is something rare.

Show mercy on our brethren God, we pray;
They lived a life of struggles upon earth;
Let Requiem masses celebrated bring
Release of more souls earlier than due dates!

Let Light eternal shine upon those souls
Whose threads of life were severed by rude death;
Let hymns of pleas on behalf of faithful
Open the gate of heaven to them soon!

Let world remember ‘All Souls Day’ and pray
For deliverance of the faithful dead;
Let acts of alms-giving and good deeds too
Kindle the heart of God to set them free!

Every tear you shed for the dead you love

Reminds them of the earth people who love them
And the dead are now confused

To go or not to go
To finally leave and be full-fledged souls to the other world

Every tear confuses them
And you are so cruel, you shed so many tears

Enough for the dead to be restless and crazy,
Please stop crying, let the dead go, we just buried them.

Sonnet: Let Death Come, So What?

Most faces known to me are no more seen;
Most names I’d heard have been erased by time;
Is it God’s work or quirk of fate quite mean?
Yes, death must come to all earthlings sometime.

Belov’d landscapes have changed for good of man;
Nothing on earth remains permanently;
All earthly things have definite life-span;
This is a fact but sad reality.

But what if death had stolen ones I know;
Their souls aren’t dead and all will resurrect;
Let’s pray for God’s compassion on them now;
Nothing to worry if upright, erect!

The good we’ve done will gain us Heaven’s bliss;
With faith in Christ, nothing can go amiss!

‘May the souls of the dead, rest in peace! ’

All Souls Day: The Faithful Departed

Today, we think of all souls dead, some dear;
Some were so near, now gone afar, we fear;
Some were our friends, both good and bad, we knew;
But they all vanished like the morning dew!

Some were our neighbours, righteous or quite bad;
Nevertheless, they’re dead, which seems so sad;
Some were just strangers whom we met sometime;
They are no more with us in life and time.

Many we heard of, now no longer live;
Some men violent to violent ends did give;
Many unknown are gone forever too;
We pray, the love of God must all souls woo.

Some bodies lie in earthy dampness cold;
Some met a watery grave or in urns hold;
Some killed by beasts or men-demonic, died;
Many were holy, in God did abide!

Some were burnt, their ashes scattered by wind;
Some as mummies in pyramids, we find;
The end of many, we can’t imagine;
For myriads dead and worm-eaten, we pine!

The world of dead exceeds the living one;
Who thinks of orphans and who lived alone?
Kings, queens, lords, ladies, paupers too are gone;
Let living pray for God’s mercy and moan!

‘May the souls dead all, rest in peace;
May God forgive sinners with ease! ’

Spirits Of The Dead

As the spirits of the dead
Rise from the fires of death

I feel a presence
In my minds eye
Of all the lost souls
Fighting for their lives

I hear a voice
In my head
Telling me they are dead

But then I hear
The shadowed souls

It is we who have lived
It is you who is lost

Internal Bleeding

Rot Alone. Destiny,
killing the souls of lives at your feet.
Dead to its fight.
Hell as they said.
Killing the darkened rotting fate.
Fate. Rot Alone. Bludgeoning hell.
Finding their souls and returning to dwell.
Killing and bleeding tightened as one.
Killing the darkest rotting fate.
Rot all lesions.
Glory. Rotting, plowed.
Dead he's killed your soul.
Glory. Rotting flower.
Kill.

The World Is Made For The Cunning

Children innocently ask:
Where do the animals' souls go when they are dead?
Does the fish-soul leave the ocean?
And do the birds
Simply turn into branches of a tree?

Childern do not make concepts
They can't conceptualize
The philosophy of
Evolution and transmigration of souls
They don't know who was what in
previous incarnation
And what would one be in the next one
How would they know that the world
Is full of people
Who sup on innocent souls
Whether of animals or human beings! !

Why Death Comes?

There is a place after life;
There is a home after death;
There is a life after life on earth,
And that is the Abode of God
Called Heaven!
It’s a place of joy alone;
It’s a place devoid of sorrows;
It’s a place that’s free from pain and sin;
It’s a place that’s very pure;
It’s a place where sufferings are unknown;
It’s a place of everlasting joy;
It’s a place of commune with God-
Eternity is its name!
Death gives rest to souls that depart;
Death gives reprieve from earthly woes;
Death is the only way to God’s Abode;
Death heralds the resurrection of souls!
When death comes, why should we fear?
Death is the one way to Heaven;
But when it comes, our soul must be prepared,
And if that is done, why bother?
Miracles can be wrought by God;
Prayers can bring miracles through;
Yet, a sea of fervent appeals from souls,
May not keep back a single soul
For a time longer than
What God has pre-destined!
Because, God knows each heart;
God knows each soul;
God knows our sufferings,
And the ideal time to deliver
All.

The Kiss of Death

I
There she lay
Her soul astray
Her cruel lips
Where my soul slips
Into the taste of death
To find her breath
The breath of pain,
Where souls are slain
Death does not kill pain!
It lives in the one who suffer from it.

II
Death is the ultimate symbol of life
Its deadly kiss pierces harder
Than the plunge of a sharpen knife….
Death comes to us all
We know not when
Or where death will call
So our souls
Slowly slip
Into death's kiss
On her lip
Where we slowly sip
Death's dead breath
The kiss of Death

One Day Someone Will Say The Same Of Me

The hearse through the main street is passing slow
With the funeral cars following in a single row
Is the dead person a he or a she?
One day someone will say the same of me.

And did that person die young or old
And will her or his life story be told?
To the departed that does not matter 'twould seem
As the dead do not have a sense of self esteem.

The funeral towards the cemetery winds it's way
Up through the main street at noon of day
But on the cortege shoppers no interest show
As in and out of shops they go.

The dead from the Land of the living gone
But life for the living must go on
And the same fate surely awaits you and I
As the dead person in the hearse going by.
