Sonnet: A Weird Workplace

The carriage looks so fabulous indeed:
And drawn by steeds and horses, superbly
On roads in tough terrain with rather greed;
They do it sub-consciously but ably!

The passengers are from far-off places,
And some are picked from road-side on the way;
A few wear masks of poverty on faces;
Only a few are truly made to pay.

The drivers change too frequently at times;
Some do not know the horses, roads at all;
They sleep both day and night in changing climes;
They do not care if horses stop or fall.

The carriage has to be repaired often;
The hearts of drivers will never soften!

Sonnet: Our Family-Carriage to Heaven

God drives our family-carriage with four wheels-
Love, harmony, forbearance, piety;
His whip of grace goads parent horses’ heels;
Their faith in Jesus sees eternity.

All children act as passengers at first;
Some take their turn as horses very soon;
They run with crosses on footsteps of Christ;
The Bible’s words are Manna-like food- boon.

God-Driver guides the carriage in His lanes-
Narrow and straight, and guarded by angels,
As light of heaven, Holy Spirit rains;
God’s mercy-mantle has Lord’s safety-bells!

The carriage moves on swiftly, by prayers;
Of siblings, saints, prophets and soothsayers!

What’s Holy Matrimony (Marriage) ?

A carriage divine,
With earthly wheels unequal,
Plying on mundane terrain of all kinds,
With varying speeds,
Pulled by horses of virtues,
Driven by mutual love, will-power and forgiveness.

It holds just spouses two,
Of opposite sex,
To start with;
And children join with time,
Adding more joy and woes,
With wavering harmony,
Set to go towards heaven,
But if callous,
Could turn hell-bound!

Mustangs Are Born Free (Monchielle)

Let wild horses run free
In mountains let them be
Release them let them go
Stop killing these horses
They are so scared you know

Let wild horses run free
Don't divide mom from baby
Wild horses to be free
Let them run in mountain
Don't take freedom away

Let wild horses run free
Let's join voices help horses
Take them where they belong
They truly need our help
Selling these horses wrong

Let wild horses run free
Since small I love horses
I grew up watch them grow
Mustangs are beautiful
They're unique smart you know.

The Hatred In You

Dappled horses,
Bay horses,
Red horses,

White horses;
However, you boasted against us all with your mouth!
Because of the hatred in you.

Demise Of My Horses

Demise of My Horses

I had been away for a few days,
visiting the aunts of Cascais,
and found my three stone horses gone.
Just cheerless holes
where they had been tethered.
Widening the road, they said
and for that beauty must go.
When a road is enlarged more
cars will fill the space until
the bigger road is too small and
they decide to build a motorway.
The other side of the road will be
impossible to cross and neighbours
will become strangers.
Sun or rain endlessly stunning my horses were
before turned into grit.

Sonnet: Change Does Come

The time has come for things to change again;
Solutions to old problems spring anew;
The summer’s heat is followed by much rain;
The trouble-makers are now just a few!

Reprieve is due after a spell of gloom;
Mellowed are many when old-aged and grey;
The corrupt will no longer have more room;
All employees are due for rise of pay.

The righteous hope to see some better times;
The tricksters feel their game has concluded;
God ushers seasons marking changing climes;
There is no place for masks and things hooded!

The wheel of time does turn definitely;
Good times will come for upright souls surely.

I Hate Women Drivers!

I hate women drivers!
Why, can they not park?
Near the kerb?
Not anywhere
With no regards!

I hate women drivers!
Especially in the dark
They put on their blinkers
Because, they can not see.
The problem, is neither can we!

I hate women drivers!
How they love to drive fast
Only for school runs
Then they cruise all day long

I hate women drivers!
Do they believe?
That the traffic lights are stops
To make phone calls
For their daily needs

I hate women drivers!
Can they see there are lines in the road?
They signify lanes
You should only drive in one
Not in all 3!

I hate women drivers!
They stop at zebra crossings
Because they feel this is the time
To speak to their friends and catch up
What feels like an hour long!

I hate women drivers
Oh, I wish men
Will stop shouting
THIS AT ME!

The Rose of England

'Twas a most solemn day
Of that most the world would say.
The Rose of England would pass
Her still form in a gun carriage alas.

Many called it the event of the years
As the cortege the Royal Standard bears.
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on history the Princess leaves her mark.

John Bull's joie de vivre now diminished
It seemed to many that an era had finished.
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on history the Princess leaves her mark.

Yet, even in dying she still lives on
In the heart of many, a love already born.
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark.

They'd come from near and far
This massive crowd there'd been no par.
Bless you.Bless you.They cried
For the Queen of their hearts had died.

Many a funeral there had been
But nothing like this the world had seen.
The multitude weepingly lined the way
There was hardly anything you can say.

Two young princes with solemn look
Their precious mother the angels took.
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark.

A day one could almost feel wintry's cold
Merry ole England had lost her gold.
Now the winsome princess to be seen no more
Her loving fans no more could adore!

The Queen, Her Majesty, stood at her Palace gate
Had her compassion and caring come too late?
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark!

And the bell at the abbey tolls
As the cortege bearing the fallen Rose rolls.
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark!

'Twas a day of saddened faces
It seemed the Princess had held all aces.
A flood of tears from the river Thames;
'Twas a time of gloom for the Court of St James.

Do you hear the clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark?
Yes! I hear the clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark!

Human Falls

From infancy to senescence,
All human beings tend to fall;
By slipping, tripping, on their own
Or stumbling on something on road.

Some falls are nasty in mishaps;
Some fall in trivial accidents,
Or roads made slippery by rains;
Some fall from heights in suicide.

To fall is natural to men;
Some grievous hurts are sequelae;
One tries to get up from each fall;
To fall in life is natural!

Don’t fall down from life’s ladder’s rungs;
Don’t slip down staircase to heaven;
Don’t roll down steep hill-side of life;
Don’t trip into ravines of sin.

Ranaway Horses

Can't sleep tonight
I feel so shaken
Baby the wind has changed again
You come to me
Straight out of nowhere
Taking me where I've never been
Suddenly all of my fences have broken
I'm cutting the reins of my life
Wo Runaway horses
Take us thru the night
Runaway horses
ooo baby hold on tight
Racing thru the darkness
Trying to find a light
You and I on Runaway horses
Baby hold on tight
Stars guide us now
The whole world is sleeping
10 million dreams will soon be told
Out on this road
I'll share your secrets
I'm not afraid of where we'll go
I want you here with me
Pray for our destiny
Here on this mystery ride
Wo Runaway horses
Take us thru our life
Wo Runaway horses
oo oo baby hold on tight
Racing thru the darkness
Trying to find a light
You and I on Runaway horses
oo baby hold on tight
Open my eyes,there's so much light
I feel alive when I'm with you
With every end we'll begin again

The Jumping Horses Of The Carnival

Do you still remember
the jumping horses of the carnival
when we were yet small?

Do you remember sometime
in July of 1968?
The horses are made of tin
in different colors,

practically all other colors
which are impossible for real horses

Those horses did not jump on their own
You bet
and when you guess wins, you get
either a plastic glass or
a cheap teddy bear

Those horses move with the music
of the record player
and there was a Big Man
holding the microphone

Dictating who shall move next
till your number wins

That is the beginning of my criticism.
Now, i am going back there to obtain more data
Perhaps, i shall then be
Enlightened.

Remember Lot's Wife

One is taken and the other is left down,
One is spoken to and the other is written to,
But remember Lot's wife and learn!
For if your child ask you of fish,
Will you give him a snake? !
Then think twice before you leap.

Life is full of ups and downs but,
Be very strong always to carry on;
And like the fig tree planted in the vineyard,
be very focus on your dreams.

Red horses and black horses,
White horses and dappled horses,
And with the bay horses to write this muse;
Life is guided by the four spirits of the heavens but,
Yu've sown much and brought in a little.

All The Kings Horses

All the kings horses and all the kings men
Couldnt put me back together again
My heart lies in pieces all over the ground
Whos gonna help me when youre not around
And I know inside me ,that nobody cares
Whatever happens to me
I live my life as a plea
All the kings horses and all the kings men
Couldnt put me back together again
I was in love when I sat on my wall
No one could hurt me , no one at all
And I know that somewhere my love walked away
She threw my love to the sky
Nothing to do but to cry
All the kings horses and all the kings men
Couldnt put me back together again
All the kings horses , all the kings horses
All the kings horses , all the kings horses

The Human Eye

God made the eye-
An extension of brain:
To see the beauty of all things,
He made.

God made the eye-
The mirror of the brain:
To show the mind’s beauty
Within.

God made the eye-
A camera:
To picture Nature’s lively snaps,
For man.

God made the eye-
A receiver:
To gather photic stimuli
For thought.

God made the eye-
Lovely:
To give expression to the face
Of man.

God made the eye-
For sight:
To perceive what the environs
Can give.

God made the eye-
For knowing world of good and bad:
To walk the roads in Heaven’s light,
On earth.

God made the eye-
For seeing light in dark alleys:
To look before one leaps in life
On earth.

God made the eye-
With two fine lids:
To prevent vice
From reaching mind.

God made the eye-
To see and feel:
The Omniscient Lord
Of creation.

God made the eye-
To know His love
And mercy great:
For man and beast.

God made the eye-
To see the light
Of Godliness
On earth’s terrain.

God made the eye-
To choose the road
That leads to Hell
Or to Heaven.

Farewell To The Travelling People

Farewell to the travelling people their fame it was known far and wide
Their horse drawn vans are no longer to be seen on the by roads of the green countryside
Their descendants live a different sort of a lifestyle with the passing of the decades few things stay the same
And so it is for the children of the wanderlust people who too are often called out of name.

Farewell to the travelling musicians on their culture they too took great pride
They used to play beautiful old tunes but sad to say their old tunes with them died
A thing of beauty is lost forever and the Seasons they come and they go
And across the countryside they travelled in the winds of change ever does blow.

They knew about discrimination the under class of their Homeland
But they had their own ways and cultures that others could not understand
Their love of their coloured pinto horses their great love of music and song
Lost to the winds of change forever their culture to history now belong.

Farewell to the travelling people fond memories of them do remain
They travelled the by roads of Ireland their likes we will not see again
They played their music by their camp fire and sung in the glow of the fire light
And their romany vans drawn by their pinto horses made for such a beautiful sight.

Where’s Grandad

The hearse had been booked at the Co-op
for the Friday before the Goose Fair.
We paid for a top notch send off,
with a carriage and six to bear.

The hearse was well behind schedule
on the morning we were burying grandad.
The wind was howling and the sky was dark,
and it began to rain quite bad.

The coffin lay on the front room table
with the flag and white lilies on top.
My dad was anxiously twitching the curtains
until he saw the carriage and horses stop.

It had finally arrived to take grandad
to his resting place in the ground.
Six solemn bearers came into the house
and they never made a sound.

In the hearse they carefully placed the coffin,
then returned to their seating places.
But then they galloped off down the street
leaving us with rain soaked faces.

We ran to our cars and tried to catch up,
but the traffic lights didn’t go our way.
The next time we saw the shiny oak coffin
was by the grave, with the vicar about to pray.

Under umbrellas we gathered and watched
as the coffin was slowly lowered down.
Well after all that it didn’t turn out so bad,
except that we were at the burial of a Mrs Brown.

Wild Horses

Childhood living
It's easy to do
The things you wanted
I bought them for you
Graceless lady
You know who I am
You know I can't let you
Slide through my hand
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
I watched you suffer
A dull aching pain
Now you're decided
To treat me the same
No sweeping exits
Or offstage lines
Could make me feel bitter
Or treat you unkind
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
I have my freedom
But I dont have much time
So let's do some living
After we die
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild horses
We want them someday

Miracle

Isn’t it a miracle?
That we with no
Eyes and ears
Honking on the roads
At every bend, turn and
Corner,
Ignoring pedestrian
Crossings, encroaching
On their right to cross
The roads safely, shooing
Them away to race our cars
At break-neck speeds,
Bribing the police to get away
With our mischiefs,
Having under the table
Money exchanges with the agents
To get our driving licences.
All the rules being flouted.
No respect for road safety laws.
We, the blind and deaf people
Suddenly, almost miraculously
Start seeing and heeding what is
Being said to us in countries
Other than our own; become
Civilised drivers, with no need
For honking while driving,
Reversing and turning.
All the mayhem that happens
On our Indian roads, where
People don’t follow their lanes,
Come threatening us with their noisy horns
And nerve-racking swerves; just the places
Need to change, and the same people find
Themselves quietly going through the roads
Abroad. But India isn’t destined to see
Such miracles. Or is She? Some eon, may be.

The horses of the sea
Rear a foaming crest,
But the horses of the land
Serve us the best.
The horses of the land
Munch corn and clover,
While the foaming sea-horses
Toss and turn over.
