sealing their own fate?

Anna Hazare’s Crusade against Corruption in India

Anna wants a Lokpal bill strong
Anna wants a Lokpal bill fast
Anna wants a Lokpal bill full
Anna wants a Lokpal bill now

Anna wants a Lokpal bill by fast
Anna wants a Lokpal bill first
Anna wants a Lokpal bill for all
Anna wants a Lokpal bill – his call

Anna wants a Lokpal bill now
Anna wants a Lokpal bill without delay
Anna wants a Lokpal bill, come what may
Anna wants a Lokpal bill even if it means death.

There is no turning back
There is no giving up the fast
There is no fear of arrest
There is no worry about death

For,
India needs an anti-corruption bill
India is monetarily seriously ill
India needs the honesty drill
India has its wealth outside but inside will

Bring the bill
Heed people’s will
Give them the fill
Heal those hearts ill.

Victory to India; victory to Lokpal Bill; victory to Anna!

India’s ‘I’m Anna’ Movement

With eagle’s eyes
And staunch a mind
And heart of love
For common man

A Gandhian true
Fast undertook
None could predict
Repercussions.

He donned a cap
And kept vigil
For twelve full days
On mere water.

He scared the rich
Men in power
Who misuse it,
And cheat the poor

He minced no words
spoke out his heart
in plain language
to all Indians.

His wake-up call
was clear and firm
Corruption should
end in India

A Bill must come
In Lok Sabha
To include all
Both high and low

Jan Lokpal Bill –
He authored fast,
And broke his fast
When promise came.

This was Anna,
An Indian,
Whose one good thought,
New Freedom got.

He showed the world
That corruption
Should be contained
For nation’s sake.

His act was brave
And defiant
Till success came
By polity.

This was the start
He aimed for now
Fight will go on
On more issues

Anna was great
His slate was neat
He was simple
And most humble

He shook India
On ruin’s verge;
He convinced crowds
That came to hear.

A new Gandhi
A modern one
Who wars with hearts
That destroy peace

His arrest, fast
None can forget
His stamina
Aided his feat.

‘We need to change
All things around,
And common man
Needs faira share.’

Jan Lokpal Bill
Would do the trick –
The game-changer
That people want.

The Parliament
Saw well his cause,
And passed a good
Resolution.

Anna made it:
His plan had worked;
His fast pulled off
A victory!

His win was great,
Exemplary;
He changed the fate
Of polity!

He moved a sea
Of Indian hearts
Within, abroad,
Uniting all!

Oh, what a way!
Oh, what a win!
Non-violence
Had won most hearts!

“No scams or shams
No shame or blame,
No corruption,
In people’s rule! ”

'Democracy,
If good, will be
The ideal form
Of governance!

Where power comes
From people’s votes
And corruption
In shackles stays!

God bless India
God bless Anna
God bless Lokpal
God bless all men.'

Anna Hazare is...

A hope anew for Indians all;
A spark that set aflame most hearts;
A road that leads to righteous ends;
A mind that thinks of freedom new.

A fast that captured many souls;
A chant that caught the lips of youth;
A speech that lured global Indians;
A song that turned a haunt aloud!

A soul that followed Gandhi’s steps;
A heart that loves all fellowmen;
A man who fights corrupt brethren;
A voice who vows for justice’s sake.

A phenomenon new to world;
A brave who wakes the lion-hearts;
A call that’s clarion and noble;
A freedom fighter with great cause!

‘May his Jan Lokpal Bill cleanse all Indians’

Untrust

Trust is not a thing
Most people can bring
me to believe it seems.
Therefore I deem
it an unnecessary feeling.
That keeps on sealing
an untrusting fate.

This fate without debate
will not decipitate
The rate at which my untrust grows.

Before long fate takes this trait
that quickly breaks trust
showing that it's not a must
but more or less a bust that is not needed
by me for anything.

The Corrupt Ones

(garaventz / kaye)
Here in this town of dirt and greed
Playground where devils play
Here where I had the bad, bad luck to be born
Here I must stay
Here I belong
Here I will die
Caught in the web of love
I cant escape
Wont even try
My fate is tied with the corrupt ones
Especially with one guy
He came around when I was down
Opened new worlds for me
Gave him my love
And dreamed of breaking my chains of misery
But I was wrong
I soon would learn
Thinking Id leave this town
Here he found wealth
Money to burn
Not like the nowhere
Where he came from
And he would never return
Here I belong
Here I will die
Caught in the web of love
I cant escape
Wont even try
My fate is tied with the corrupt ones
Especially with one guy
Especially with one guy

Anna Hazare – a short auto-biographical poem

He went to commit suicide;
But didn’t, due to God’s grace;
On two occasions, almost died,
And put on a sad face!

God saved him from a bullet hit;
A road accident too;
His health had remained always fit;
He lived for me and you.

He read some books by leaders great;
Gandhiji and Bhave;
Vivekanandha changed his fate;
Meaning to life, it gave.

‘To live for others’ sake’, his aim;
He served his fellowmen;
He won awards, laurels, acclaim;
He grew in wisdom, ken.

The welfare of the common man
Became his desire prime;
He laboured hard throughout life-span;
Prayer became past-time.

He thought about his Motherland;
Could he change farmer’s lot?
He got his own following band;
He stemmed the nation’s rot!

Corruption was the main issue;
The poor man suffered most;
The affluent did lucre woo;
Progress became a ghost!

So, Anna started a crusade,
To bring the Lokpal bill;
The constituents, he had laid;
Indeed a task uphill.

No giving up, till bill is passed;
‘The fight’s on, ’ says Hazare.
Huge crowds throng venue unsurpassed;
‘I’m Anna, ’ pukaare!

No one can tell how things will end;
The people’s call is clear;
How far will politicians bend?
To most, money is dear!

Gypsy Jill

They're hanging Bill at eight o' clock,
And millions will applaud.
He killed, and so they have to kill,
Such is the will of God.
His brother Tom is on my bed
To keep me comforted.

I see his bleary, blotchy face,
I hear his sodden snore.
He plans that he can take Bill's place;
I felt worse than a whore
As in his arms I cried all night,
Thinking of poor Bill's plight.

I keep my eyes upon the clock;
It nears the stroke of eight.
I think how bravely Bill will walk
To meet his gallows fate . . .
His loaded gun is in the tent,--
I know now what he meant.

Though Tom is boastful he will wed
With me, no more to part,
I'll put a bullet through his head,
Another through my heart:
At eight, stone-dead we three will be,
--Bill, Tom and me.

Corrupt crops

As a child I was corrupt less.
As I grew to an adolescent,
I know all adults are corrupt.
As an adult, I forgave them.
Growing wise, I forgave myself.
Corruption cannot be weeded.
Crops themselves are corrupt.

Fateful Death

Blow your mind

Sink in the air

They love you

They loath you

Smile

It makes you look better

Feeling your way through the blindness

Seeing nothing, and everything simultaneously

Let go

Your fate is inevitable

Who am I?

Sitting so lonely on the pale window sill…

Come closer, here

Smile into the eyes of your death

Who am I but your fate?

I will corrupt you, love you

Torment you, kill you…

Your inevitable fate…

Fate and Destiny

Fate and Destiny

Who can tell us what Fate and Destiny are?
Who can tell us what our Fate is?
Who can tell us what our Destiny is?
Fate. Destiny.
People say we cannot choose our Fate, but we can choose our Destiny.
People say we are Fated or Destined to do/become something.
Fate. Destiny.
Are they different?
Are they the same?
People say we can choose Destiny and we are Fated to do it.
People say that our Destiny is open, but our Fate is sealed.
Are Fate and Destiny the same?
If our Destiny has yet to be chosen but our Fate is sealed, then is not our Destiny already chosen, but unseen to us until the opportune moment?
Fate. Destiny.
When is the opportune moment?
At what point in our life will our Fate and Destiny be revealed?
Or will we realize what our Fate and Destiny are only when it is too late?
Or will we pass our Fate and Destiny without knowing it?
Fate. Destiny.
If someone tells us what our Fate and Destiny are, will we like what we hear?
Or will you strive against the path set before you?

Decapitate

Your head
You will lose it
Severed
When executed
You always thought
Youd never get caught
Decapitate
Sealing your fate
Rebels
Futile efforts
Are quelled
With effective measures
The sentence is read
Word that you dread
Decapitate
Walk through hells gate
Youve lost your head sir
Well you will tomorrow - sleep well
This courts
Best deterrent
To set
New precendents
The verdict of course
Couldnt be worse
Decapitate
Example be made
Decapitate
Will seal your fate

Long Live Anna and Indian Democracy!

‘The passing of the bill
will prove that people’s will
Can make the nation ill
To climb corruption’s hill! ’

Anna has won through his marathon fast
A spectacular victory for all;
His Lokpal Bill has finally been passed;
Fast will be off; He set rolling the ball!

All MP’s also performed well their part;
They showed the world that Parliament’s supreme;
The people’s needs were paramount in heart;
They worked to realise the people’s dream!

The Anna Team had done too fine a job;
They helped Hazare all ways through his fast;
They were well encouraged by huge a mob;
They worked in harmony until the last!

The Resolution Anna asked had come;
The Anti-corruption bill will make it;
The happy end’’s more than hearty welcome;
The fast had become terrific a hit!

The war on Corruption is just begun;
’Tis the beginning of a struggle long;
The struggle long ought to always go on;
The country men can sing a happy song!

Long live the sacrifice of Hazare!
The aged man is hero without doubt;
The Anna Team has become bright thare;
On day twelve, they managed to win the bout!

The support ends the battle just for now;
A lot of things are to be done henceforth;
All showed their unity and country’s love;
The Bill will change the future giving mirth!

Long live Anna Hazare! Long live Indian Democracy!
