Bible Stories: Job (Chapter XXXIII)

Job, let me start my discourse then;
Do listen to my words- hearken!
The words all come spontaneously;
I’ll tell my mind most sincerely

The Lord’s spirit with love made me;
God’s breath keeps me alive truly;
You may refute my statements if
You draw up your arguments stiff.

Behold, I am made from like clay;
Let fear not ever you dismay;
You told that you were clean a slate,
And innocent, until this date!

You’re free from transgressions also
There is not guilt in things you do;
Yet, God invents charges on you,
And considers you as His foe!

He even puts your feet in stocks,
And watches you when you’re in docks;
Let me tell you that you aren’t just,
As God’s greater, and not from dust!

Why then complain against a God,
Who need not give account or nod?
God speaks just once or hardly twice,
But, man perceives not His words wise!

God speaks to men asleep at night,
In dreams and visions, not daylight;
He opens ears of men to warn
Of dangers of the morrow’s dawn.

Thus, man is kept off evil ways,
And pride has no place in his days;
From Eternal Pit, souls, God saves,
And men are withheld from their graves!

Or chastened man is by bed-pain,
And suffering that keeps him sane;
So that he abhors choicest foods,
Avoiding alluring sin-moods!

His wasted flesh can just be seen,
And bones turn weak and very lean;
His soul is drawn nearer the Pit,
As death strikes him before he’s fit!

If lucky still, an angel guides
Him rightly: in God, He abides;
God’s pity helps him escape hell;
In health and wealth, all seems quite well.

His flesh comes back as in childhood;
He prays to God and becomes good;
God favors him and he has joy
Like when he was just small a boy.

He tells others, ‘I did things wrong;
God punished me justly, quite long.
He spared my soul from Pit fiery,
And gave it grace to be wary! ’

Be attentive, O Job, right now;
Hearken to what is God’s great love;
Be silent while I teach wisdom;
You should not miss the Lord’s kingdom!

Two Kinds of Wisdom

Words of wisdom can indeed, speak to the heart’s most inner need,
But you must be aware my friend, where words take you in the end.
For earthly wisdom can mislead, the heart seeking an earthly need.
While wisdom sent from up above, guides you in God’s perfect love.

Wisdom comes from many schools, some are wise, some are fools,
Even teachings that sound wise, could be packaged in eternal lies.
Earthly wisdom tells you friend, don’t be concerned about your end,
Just live your life for number one, fill each day with pleasure and fun.

Godly wisdom fills you with love, while keeping your mind up above,
God helps you each day to live, knowing that you have more to give.
Worldly wisdom says fill your life, with things that cause much strife.
It tells you to grab the biggest toy, but in the end you’ll have no joy.

Godly wisdom through sacrifice, prepares you for your Eternal Life.
With this wisdom men shall see, Jesus Christ as they enter Eternity.
In the end all worldly wisdom, to the Truth of God it shall succumb.
When men try embracing The Son, He will say what’s done is done.

All the worldly wisdom down here, has no room for The Lord, I fear,
With the wisdom they think wise, the Lord we love, they just despise.
The same Lord who we hold dear, has let us know His return is near,
And Godly wisdom fixes our eyes, upon Christ without any comprise.

To be the Veda

Who am I?
Who put me here?
Why am I here?
What should I do?

Who will tell me who I am?
Who will tell me, who put me here?
Who will tell me, why I'm here,
and tell me then, what I should do? ..

Sometimes, I am all thankfulness
for what keeps all of me alive;
is there a greater one whom I may thank?

And sometimes, I'm alive with praise;
Is there a greater one whom I may praise?

Sometimes, as thunder rolls and lightning strikes,
earth quakes; seas foam,
I am all fear; is there a one
who’ll tell me, the other, or the greater
things that I should fear,
and tell me what I need not fear?

From day to day, my thankfulness
wells up for this; and then for that:
the earth that yields me food,
the rain that helps it grow,
the sun and light that help it ripen,
the air that I must breathe,
the sounds that draw me to my fellow men:

so are there many such, whose mighty powers
I should thank and praise,
or is there only One?

Or are there many in the One
whom I should thank and praise –
and what then do these greater powers
know of each other; know of that One?

Sometimes, when all is silent, still,
I seem to have a hint of whom I am;
of why I’m here; what I should do;

then who will tell me the greater more
of all the more I think I know?

Sometimes, when all is silent, still,
I wish to spend my days deep in that place;
but I must work; then should I trust
some other man or woman, who will spend
their days in thanking, praising, in my place?
or can my work be also thanks and praise?
who judges thanks and praise enough?

Sometimes, when all is silent, still,
I feel a greatness in me, that
joins me to all things in myself..
who shall tell me more of this?

Sometimes, when all is silent, still,
I seek for sounds, and words, and song,
to measure all that this heart feels:
oh, who will teach me greater words?

Is there a teacher, and a taught?
Or is the teacher all around?
Or is the teacher all within?

Oh, who will tell me whom I am,
in words that sing as from myself?

Eternal Truths

In God’s Word you will hear, Eternal Truths, all men should fear,
A fear that comes as you heed, the Truths of God that you read,
Eternal Truths for all us to see, revealed by God to you and me,
A Divinely inspired Revelation, by God to lead men to salvation.

Revealing His Truth, for us to tell, others about Heaven and Hell,
Through the Holy Spirit of Christ, He shows eternal truths of life,
And He, who gave all men breath, speaks to all of eternal death,
God sets right before everyone, death or Eternal Life in His Son.

The fear God puts in me and you, is reverence to see us through,
To Guide us on this temporal earth, to that place of eternal worth,
As God moves upon our heart, with a Love, which will not depart,
And a fear that makes men wise, as His Spirit opens up our eyes.

They just say we have no proof, about God’s Word we call Truth,
And so God’s Truth they deny, embracing instead, the Devil’s lie;
Although you will die my friend, the eternal soul will have no end,
Your body in the ground may rot, but, your eternal soul shall not.

Some may read and simply say, that all men will just die anyway,
With no care at all, when or why, or where they go when they die,
But, every soul at its last breath, will face God and eternal death,
Unless a soul knows Jesus Christ, then he enters into eternal life.

Bible Stories: Job (Chapter XXXIV)

‘O men of wisdom, hear me speak!
O men of knowledge, watch me seek,
The truth for ourselves, what is right,
And learn what’s good with good fore-sight! ’

For, Job maintains, he’s innocent,
And God took all his due, decent;
What kind of man is Job, matters?
He drinks blasphemies like waters.

He lives in evil company,
And knows men wicked, so many!
Job says it profits man nothing,
When he does things to God, pleasing.

But God is far from wickedness;
He lives in only righteousness;
He corrects men with misconduct,
And reminds them of their product!

God cannot act so wickedly;
Justice is loved by Almighty;
Who gave him power over earth?
Who made all things and gave each, birth?

If God takes off man’s spirit back,
And breath divine, all men should lack,
Perish must all together fast,
And turn to dust of present / past!

Hear this, O Job, do it now please!
‘To condemn the Supreme One, Cease! ’
’Tis man who goes back to earth’s dust!
Could God of justice, be unjust?

Who tells a king, he is worthless?
Who tells nobles, they are ruthless?
God favors neither rich nor poor,
For all things were by His Hands, sure!

Each one of them in moments dies;
The powerful, he cuts to size;
His eyes on man’s ways, always stays;
He watches tenderly his days!

Hide evil can’t in darkness dense;
God doesn’t allow any nonsense;
The work of each one, God discerns;
At night, to crush him, He then turns!

He tells no man when comes Judgment;
He surprises with punishment;
The mighty get replaced instead,
Because they cared not for God-head.

And turned away from God-told ways,
And caused the poor, their cries, to raise;
God hears the pleas of afflicted;
The mighty get thus indicted.

When God stays calm, who can question?
If God hides face, who dare condemn?
If man repents, then God relents;
To man’s wishes, God never bends!

God need not punish, when man wants;
God need not care for his raves / rants;
God’s doings, man understands not;
To accept His verdicts, man ought!

The words of Job are without sense;
He speaks without intelligence;
He should not add to sin, non-sense;
Let him be tried to limits, hence.

The Eternal Goodness

O Friends! with whom my feet have trod
The quiet aisles of prayer,
Glad witness to your zeal for God
And love of man I bear.

I trace your lines of argument;
Your logic linked and strong
I weigh as one who dreads dissent,
And fears a doubt as wrong.

But still my human hands are weak
To hold your iron creeds:
Against the words ye bid me speak
My heart within me pleads.

Who fathoms the Eternal Thought?
Who talks of scheme and plan?
The Lord is God! He needeth not
The poor device of man.

I walk with bare, hushed feet the ground
Ye tread with boldness shod;
I dare not fix with mete and bound
The love and power of God.

Ye praise His justice; even such
His pitying love I deem:
Ye seek a king; I fain would touch
The robe that hath no seam.

Ye see the curse which overbroods
A world of pain and loss;
I hear our Lord's beatitudes
And prayer upon the cross.

More than your schoolmen teach, within
Myself, alas! I know:
Too dark ye cannot paint the sin,
Too small the merit show.

I bow my forehead to the dust,
I veil mine eyes for shame,
And urge, in trembling self-distrust,
A prayer without a claim.

I see the wrong that round me lies,
I feel the guilt within;
I hear, with groan and travail-cries,
The world confess its sin.
Yet, in the maddening maze of things,
And tossed by storm and flood,
To one fixed trust my spirit clings;
I know that God is good!

Not mine to look where cherubim
And seraphs may not see,
But nothing can be good in Him
Which evil is in me.

The wrong that pains my soul below
I dare not throne above,
I know not of His hate, - I know
His goodness and His love.

I dimly guess from blessings known
Of greater out of sight,
And, with the chastened Psalmist, own
His judgments too are right.

I long for household voices gone.
For vanished smiles I long,
But God hath led my dear ones on,
And He can do no wrong.

I know not what the future hath
Of marvel or surprise,
Assured alone that life and death
His mercy underlies.

And if my heart and flesh are weak
To bear an untried pain,
The bruised reed He will not break,
But strengthen and sustain.

No offering of my own I have,
Nor works my faith to prove;
I can but give the gifts He gave,
And plead His love for love.

And so beside the Silent Sea
I wait the muffled oar;
No harm from Him can come to me
On ocean or on shore.

I know not where His islands lift
Their fronded palms in air;
I only know I cannot drift
Beyond His love and care.

O brothers! if my faith is vain,
If hopes like these betray,
Pray for me that my feet may gain
The sure and safer way.

And Thou, O Lord! by whom are seen
Thy creatures as they be,
Forgive me if too close I lean
My human heart on Thee!

Song IV: Draw Near and Behold Me

Love is enough: draw near and behold me
Ye who pass by the way to your rest and your laughter,
And are full of the hope of the dawn coming after;
For the strong of the world have bought me and sold me
And my house is all wasted from threshold to rafter.
--Pass by me, and hearken, and think of me not!

Cry out and come near; for my ears may not hearken,
And my eyes are grown dim as the eyes of the dying.
Is this the grey rack o'er the sun's face a-flying?
Or is it your faces his brightness that darken?
Comes a wind from the sea, or is it your sighing?
--Pass by me and hearken, and pity me not!

Ye know not how void is your hope and your living:
Depart with your helping lest yet ye undo me!
Ye know not that at nightfall she draweth near to me,
There is soft speech between us and words of forgiving
Till in dead of the midnight her kisses thrill through me.
--Pass by me and harken, and waken me not!

Wherewith will ye buy it, ye rich who behold me?
Draw out from your coffers your rest and your laughter,
And the fair gilded hope of the dawn coming after!
Nay this I sell not,--though ye bought me and sold me,--
For your house stored with such things from threshold to rafter.
--Pass by me, I hearken, and think of you not!

Of Love To God

When I do this begin to apprehend,
My heart, my soul, and mind, begins to bend

To God-ward, and sincerely for to love
His son, his ways, his people, and to move

With brokenness of spirit after him
Who broken was, and killed for my sin.

Now is mine heart grown holy, now it cleaves
To Jesus Christ my Lord, and now it leaves

Those ways that wicked be; it mourns because
It can conform no more unto the laws

Of God, who loved me when I was vile,
And of sweet Jesus, who did reconcile

Me unto justice by his precious blood,
When no way else was left to do me good.

If you would know how this can operate
Thus on the soul, I shall to you relate

A little farther what my soul hath seen
Since I have with the Lord acquainted been.

The word of grace, when it doth rightly seize
The spirit of a man, and so at ease

Doth set the soul, the Spirit of the Lord
Doth then with might accompany the word;

In which it sets forth Christ as crucified,
And by that means the Father pacified

With such a wretch was thou, and by this sight,
Thy guilt is in the first place put to flight,

For thus the Spirit doth expostulate:
Behold how God doth now communicate

(By changing of the person) grace to thee
A sinner, but to Christ great misery,

Though he the just one was, and so could not
Deserve this punishment; behold, then, what

The love of God is! how 'tis manifest,
And where the reason lies that thou art blest.

This doctrine being spoken to the heart,
Which also is made yield to every part

Thereof, it doth the same with sweetness fill,
And so doth sins and wickednesses kill;

For when the love of God is thus reveal'd,
And thy poor drooping spirit thereby seal'd,

And when thy heart, as dry ground, drinks this in
Unto the roots thereof, which nourish sin,

It smites them, as the worm did Jonah's gourd,
And makes them dwindle of their own accord,

And die away; instead of which there springs
Up life and love, and other holy things.

Besides, the Holy Spirit now is come,
And takes possession of thee as its home;

By which a war maintained always is
Against the old man and the deeds of his.

When God at first upon mount Sinai spake,
He made his very servant Moses quake;

But when he heard the law the second time,
His heart was comforted, his face did shine.

What was the reason of this difference,
Seeing no change was in the ordinance,

Although a change was in the manner, when
The second time he gave it unto men?

At first 'twas given in severity,
In thunder, blackness, darkness, tempest high,

In fiery flames it was delivered.
This struck both Moses and the host as dead;

But Moses, when he went into the mount
The second time, upon the same account

No fear, nor dread, nor shaking of his mind,
Do we in all the holy Scripture find;

But rather in his spirit he had rest,
And look'd upon himself as greatly blest.

He was put in the rock, he heard the name,
Which on the mount the Lord did thus proclaim:

The Lord, merciful, gracious, and more,
Long-suffering, and keeping up in store

Mercy for thousands, pardoning these things,
Iniquity, transgressions, and sins,

And holding guilty none but such as still
Refuse forgiveness, of rebellious will.

This proclamation better pleased him
Than all the thunder and the light'ning.

Which shook the mount, this rid him of his fear,
This made him bend, make haste, and worship there.

Jehoshaphat, when he was sore opprest
By Amnon and by Moab, and the rest

Of them that sought his life, no rest he found,
Until a word of faith became a ground

To stay himself upon; O, then they fell,
His very song became their passing-bell.

Then holiness of heart a consequence
Of faith in Christ is, for it flows from thence;

The love of Christ in truth constraineth us,
Of love sincerely to make judgment thus:

He for us died that for ever we
Might die to sin, and Christ his servants be.

O! nothing's like to the remembrance
Of what it is to have deliverance

From death and hell, which is of due our right,
Nothing, I say, like this to work delight

In holy things; this like live honey runs,
And needs no pressing out of honey-combs.

Bible Stories: Job (Chapter XXVII)

Job Speaks On:

The ways of God, I will reveal;
His dealings, I will not conceal;
Embittered has the Lord, my soul;
Yet, I won’t speak anything foul.

My lips shall speak only the truth;
My tongue shall not tell things uncouth;
I stand by what I say till death;
Injustice, I will not bequeath.

My heart reproaches not my days;
O let my foes have unjust ways;
Wickedness, I’m ready to face;
I’ll maintain my innocent gaze.

What can the impious expect,
When lying on the verge of death?
Will God hear his cry with respect,
When peril strikes before last breath?

Will impious for help ask God?
Will he implore upon the Lord?
Have you not seen the wicked talk?
Without their God, all life, they walk!

Although, he has children many,
The sword becomes their destiny;
His offspring shall not receive bread,
No one will bury them, when dead!

His silver-dust though be a mound,
And garments can the world confound,
The innocent, his wealth begets,
Enjoying clothes and all his debts.

His house like cobwebs disappears,
He lives forever with his fears;
All that he has is lost o’er-night;
He opens eyes but can’t see light!
The Tempest puts him off his base;
The storm sweeps him out of his place!

Bible Stories: Job (Chapter VI)

Then Job replied, ‘my anguish and
Calamity, if be measured,
They would outweigh the ocean’s sands,
And hence, I speak without restraint.

God’s poisonous arrows pierce me;
Arrayed are his terrors on me;
Why should ass wild with grass bray loud?
Do ox with fodder near-by low?

Can you eat insipid, saltless?
Does egg-white have any flavor?
Those are loathsome foods to me;
If only, God, my request grants!

Yet, God could crush me with His Hand;
Still I could exult from the pain,
As I have not transgressed His code;
What strength have I to endure then?

Aren’t there limits for my patience?
Is flesh of bronze and my bone, stones?
Have I no one to advise me?
Friends must be kind when strikes despair.

I can’t depend on my brethren;
They run like dried-up waterways;
Though heaped with snow, and once they flow,
They vanish in the ambient heat!

The caravans that go astray
Into desert, do thus perish;
Though confident, they turn hopeless
And finally feel frustrated.

You have become like-wise to me;
You’re scared to see terrible things;
Have I asked you for anything?
Did I seek gifts that you possess?

Did you deliver me from foes,
Or redeem me from oppressors?
Teach me and I will be silent;
You prove to me wherein I erred.

Your honest words though agreeable,
Your arguments can’t convince me!
Although your words are proof enough,
A desperate man’s words aren’t wind!

You cast lots on the orphan too:
Barter away your friends in deal;
Think over well, I’m still correct,
My tongue speaks sincerely always!

Heaven and Hell are Real

Our faith in God must come right from our hearts;
No one can see the God of creation;
We know of God certainly through Nature;
The Bible speaks enough of God’s kingdom.

Infinite love of God for man is clear;
God cares for every creature made by Him;
God punishes to cleanse our soul sin-free;
The Maker is a loving, living God.

God may permit sorrows and grief for man;
He will not give him more than he can bear;
Our God is fair and just in everything;
He made heaven for man out of great love.

Through Nature’s furies, God warns all bad men;
By stern punishments, God reminds man’s wrongs;
The love of God made man so perfectly;
The love of God wants souls to stay in grace.

Our savior Christ had bled to death on cross;
He paid a bloody price for all men’s sins;
Even the worst sinner can now see God;
Repent to enter Kingdom of heaven.

Why blame the God of love for our own faults?
Why not believe in God, rather in science?
Man’s toil per se can’t do the greatest feats;
We need God’s help to subdue the devil.

Victory against the devil is real;
All men can win the war against Satan;
Our God made hell for angels-turned devils;
But evil men will get a similar fate.

Awake, O mind, heart, soul of man on earth!
Lord Jesus comes again in short a time;
He’ll take pure souls to heaven instantly;
Unrepentant sinners will land in hell!

The God of Love Speaks to Man…

I gave you hands to grasp and work
With finesse, deftly, and eat food;
I thought you'll fold your hands and pray,
And thank me for the gifts I gave!
But you use hands to hurt and kill,
And do all sinful things your way!

I gave you legs that carry you,
And stand upright and walk my ways;
I thought you'll genuflect and pray,
And thank me for all that I do;
But you tread upon evil paths
And leave my tenets, go astray!

I gave you eyes upon your face
To see the good world I had made;
I thought you'll read the word of mine,
And live your life in accordance.
But you use eyes to see the muck
That spoils your heart and mind and soul!

I gave you ears to hear sweet sounds
Of birds and animals I found;
I thought you'll hear my divine voice
And thank me for the gift of life;
But you hear noise that's deafening,
And songs that satisfy your lust.

I gave you tongue and mouth to speak
Kind words to all and love brethren;
I thought you'll eat the foods you should,
And thank me for the taste of things;
But you speak lies and blaspheme God
And eat substances of abuse!

I gave you mind to think aright,
And wonder how awesome is God!
I thought you'll keep your brain flawless,
And thank me for your reasoning power;
But you take drugs that give you highs
And waste your precious time I gave!

I gave you heart to empathize,
And feel the anguish of others;
I thought you'll have remorse for sins
And ask forgiveness from the Lord;
But your heart harbours evil thoughts
Those wreck your mind, body and soul!

Remember man, I made you out
Of clay but breathed life into it;
And gave a soul and my semblance
To know my love that's infinite;
Love made me make you with great care,
And yearns to have you back wholesome!

Angel (feat. Regina Bell)

Regina Bell harmonizing while DMX speaks]
What good is it..
for a man to, gain the world..
yet lose his own soul, in the process?
[Bell] God loves you, yes he does
Said you're alright with him
[DMX] I wonder..
Chorus: Regina Bell (repeat 2X)
I know you never seen him but don't fight with him
You're gonna make it through the night to the light with him
Uhh, you're alright with him
I said you're alright with him
[DMX]
I'm callin out to you Lord, because I need your help
See once again I'm havin difficulty savin myself
behavin myself, you told me what to do, and I do it
But every and now and then, gets a little harder to go through it
Losin friends, day by day
I'm in so much pain when I'm here Lord, please take me away
I put you here to do a job, and your work ain't done
To live is to suffer, but you're still my son
And there will be a time when you shine as bright as the stars
But there won't be a, his or hers, just ours
Then you'll see what I've been tryin to show you, all these years
Do the right thing; cause after the tears, come the cheers
I will, my Lord, with my heart, and my soul
That's gonna be how I roll, from now until I'm old
Lead and I'll follow, you take away the sorrow
I'ma sleep on what you said and holla back tomorrow
Chorus
[DMX]
I want you to know Lord, that for what you've given me I'm thankful
Sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, I'm grateful
You gave us power in our words, so I think before I speak
And that way when I speak, they know I'm here to teach
Can't tell em nothin wrong, cause I love em too much
I reach a lot of people, and Lord, I'm lovin the touch
But deep inside, I've got somethin that's workin against
everything I know is right, what I know makes sense
That's when you must fight harder, than you've ever fought before
cause what you've got goin on inside you is a war
between good and evil, be careful of those who wanna be you
They smile, but are not really happy when they see you
Be careful of the ones that always wanna get you high
Cause when the time comes, that one'll let you die
Listen to me! I'm here, but I can only help you
if you want me to help, what do you want for yourself?
Chorus
[DMX]
My Lord, my saviour, don't judge my behaviour
but instead, take what's in my heart and put it in my head
See I guess I really never knew, how proud I made you
My life is yours, my soul I gave you
I don't know if I'll do good enough (he's by your side)
And we both know the hood is rough (right by your side)
Sometimes I don't know what to do (X, dry your eyes)
But I know what I gotta do (it'll be alright)
You keep givin me the word, and I'll put it to song
Talk to me, I'll talk to them, and we can't go wrong
This is the start of somethin strong, and this is just the start of it
Praises to you my Lord, for lettin me be a part of it
I was that kid that, been there, did that
Became ashamed so I hid that
But, ain't no longer with that
Use me as an example - if I can do, then they can too
With the Lord behind us, there ain't nothin that we can't do
Chorus
[Regina Bell]
He's by your side
Right by your side
X, dry your eyes
cause it'll be alright
Yeah, he's by your side
Right by your side
X, dry your eyes
Cause, it'ssssssssss gonna be alright
Yeah yeah, yes it isssssssssss

Voices From The Grave

Mesmerizing sounds I hear telling me to kill
Telling me submit to the power
Demonic overtones I fear stealing my freewill
I am now the man of the hour
Controlling all my thoughts now I don't know
Right from wrong there is no hope for escape
Stung by wicked words as the silence
Speaks to me there is no hope for escape
CHORUS
Voices from the grave
Telling me to sin
My soul is what they crave
Killing me within
Disembodied spirits near pervading through my soul
Getting harder to live in this Hell
Angry voices loud and clear now they take control
Now they leave me just an empty shell
Controlling all my thoughts now I don't know
Right from wrong there is no hope for escape
Stung by wicked words as the silence
Speaks to me there is no hope for escape
CHORUS
Voices from the grave
Telling me to sin
My soul is what they crave
Killing me within
Nothing to do but heed to their world
And live to their every command
All of my thoughts are sacrificial
And used for their violent plans
Mustering strenght to fight the attack
Released from a hypnotic state
I drop to my knees and pray to the Lord
To save me from my evil fate
Screaming in pain I'm thrown to the floor
And grabbed by their arms of control
The powers of evil the powers of good
Are fighting for my weakened soul
A winner emerges darkness prevails
No future's in sight for me
Can't take the pain darkness delivers
Dying will set me free
Clenching the gun sweating in fear
Knowing the end is surely near
Pulling the trigger launching death
Evil inside me gasping breath
Lifeless pile dead and gone
Evil around me still lives on
Lesson in life the road is paved
Follow God and you'll be saved
Beware of voices from the grave

Bible Stories: Job (Chapter X)

I speak with bitterness of soul,
‘I hate my life; don’t prove me wrong.
O God, why do you oppose me?
Does oppression give pleasure, Lord? ’

‘Why spurn the good work of your hands?
Can’t you perceive like how man sees?
Is your lifetime akin mortals?
You know I’m not a wicked man,
And yet you seek my sins and guilt! ’

‘You fashioned me with your own hands
And then, why destroy me, O God?
From clay, you made me very well
Do you want to turn me to dust? ’

‘Like milk, you poured me, made me cheese!
You clothed my bones with flesh and skin;
You gave me grace and spirit too;
You hide your purpose in your heart! ’

‘You watch me sin but suffer guilt;
If I’m wicked, alas for me!
If righteous, what’s the advantage
To live in shame and afflicted? ’

‘A lion-like, you hunt me down
And show your mighty power, Lord;
Repeatedly, you attack me
And harass me, so often, God.’

‘Why out of womb, you brought me live?
I should have died without notice;
Had I ne’er lived, how much better?
From womb, you could have shown my tomb! ’

‘Are not my days on earth just few?
Leave me ’lone to recoup a bit,
Before I go to ne’er return,
From land of darkness and of gloom-
The land where darkness is but light! ’

Assured Through Christ

Thoughts on Heaven are never said, until a loved one here is dead,
And words are said, that aren’t true, said by friends and family too,
No mention of eternal death or life, and no mention of Jesus Christ,
But, since a loved one here has died, now up in Heaven they reside.

The majority of souls today assume, that from Hell they are immune,
From their very time of their birth, until that time they leave this earth,
Based on that premise they are good, which is generally understood,
But during this life, The Good Lord, by that large majority, is ignored.

The very God, Who gives man breath, is ignored by many until death,
That of a loved one, friend or family, who then, speaks of an Eternity,
Although finding it hard to remember, even by a close family member,
When they spoke of a belief or faith, in The Lord or His Saving Grace.

We all know men who love the Truth, and some who display no proof,
Of knowing the One, Who we love, or are even mindful of God above,
Yet, when death comes to the door, they’re placed on Heaven’s shore,
Not aware of what’s revealed to us, through the words of Christ Jesus.

Christ spoke of eternal darkness friend; for many that will be their end,
That, if they leave their earthly place, without The Lord’s Saving Grace;
They may even see God as Creator, but never accept Christ as Savior;
Knowing Christ as Savior and Lord, is the only way Heaven is assured.

The New Ezekiel

What, can these dead bones live, whose sap is dried
By twenty scorching centuries of wrong?
Is this the House of Israel, whose pride
Is as a tale that's told, an ancient song?
Are these ignoble relics all that live
Of psalmist, priest, and prophet? Can the breath
Of very heaven bid these bones revive,
Open the graves and clothe the ribs of death?

Yea, Prophesy, the Lord hath said. Again
Say to the wind, Come forth and breathe afresh,
Even that they may live upon these slain,
And bone to bone shall leap, and flesh to flesh.
The Spirit is not dead, proclaim the word,
Where lay dead bones, a host of armed men stand!
I ope your graves, my people, saith the Lord,
And I shall place you living in your land.

The Soul's Prayer

In childhood's pride I said to Thee:
'O Thou, who mad'st me of Thy breath,
Speak, Master, and reveal to me
Thine inmost laws of life and death.

'Give me to drink each joy and pain
Which Thine eternal hand can mete,
For my insatiate soul can drain
Earth's utmost bitter, utmost sweet.

'Spare me no bliss, no pang of strife,
Withhold no gift or grief I crave,
The intricate lore of love and life
And mystic knowledge of the grave.'

Lord, Thou didst answer stern and low:
'Child, I will hearken to thy prayer,
And thy unconquered soul shall know
All passionate rapture and despair.

'Thou shalt drink deep of joy and fame,
And love shall burn thee like a fire,
And pain shall cleanse thee like a flame,
To purge the dross from thy desire.

'So shall thy chastened spirit yearn
To seek from its blind prayer release,
And spent and pardoned, sue to learn
The simple secret of My peace.

I, bending from my sevenfold height,
Will teach thee of My quickening grace,
Life is a prism of My light,
And Death the shadow of My face.'

Sonnet- Life Has Its Risks

Some things of great import, still come to you;
At times, in ways inopportune, you think;
Life is so challenging and risky too;
We feel not thirsty, yet, are forced to drink.

When hunger strikes, we hardly find right food;
When sleep o'ertakes, we're unable to rest;
Often we have to do our work off-mood;
All things done prudently turn out the best.

Our common-sense and logic, saves our skins;
A tongue that speaks out magic words is great;
Courage and hope in life, gives us our wins,
And change, we can however sad, our fate.

When troubles come in search of every soul,
Avoiding more should be our primal goal.

Psalms in Poetry - Chapter 103

Psalms in Poetry - Chapter 103

1 You praise the Lord, O soul of mine;
my being innermost,
His holy name, you praise.
2 You praise the Lord, O soul of mine,
forgetting not His benefits –
3 He who forgives your every sin,
and heals your diseases;
4 He who redeems your life from Pit,
and crowns you with His love and compassion,
5He satisfies your desires
With numerous things that are so good,
so that like eagle’s, your youth is renewed.
6 Lord works His righteousness, justice
for all those who are oppressed.
7 He made His ways to Moses known,
His deeds to people of Israel:
8 The Lord is compassionate, gracious,
and slow to anger, abounds in love.
9 He will not always one accuse,
nor will He harbor anger forever;
10 He does not treat us as our sins deserve,
repaying us as per our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is His love for those who fear Him;
12 As far, the east is from the west,
so far has He removed our transgressions.
13 Like father, on his own children,
the Lord has compassion on those
Who fear the Lord.
14 He knows how we are formed,
He remembers that we are dust.
15 To man, his days are just like grass;
like flow’r of field, he therefore lives;
16 Wind blows o’er flow’r and it is gone;
Its place remembers it no more.
17 Ev’rlasting to ev’rlasting then,
Lord's love is on those who fear Him;
His righteousness, with their children's children –
18 With those who keep His covenant,
and fail not doing His precepts.
19 The Lord has made His throne in heav’n;
His kingdom rules o’er everyone.
20 So, praise the Lord, His angels all;
you mighty ones who do His bids,
and who obey His every word.
21 So, praise the Lord, His heav’nly hosts;
His servants all who do His will.
22 So, praise the Lord and all His works,
in His dominion.
So praise the Lord, O soul of mine.

You Are Unto Dust

You are made from the dust of the earth,
And the Wailing-Wall will be there for you;
For you are unto dust and you shall return unto dust,
And this is just the journey of the spirit.

To the realm of the unknown and to the things we do for love,
And until death put us apart on this side of the planet;
For the flesh goes back to where it belongs to!
Yes, back to the earth.

Death is part of us and we need to learn from others,
For we have to be prepared as well;
For he flesh goes back to where it belongs to;
And out of the dust we were made.

The dust became flesh and today we are human beings,
And from the knowledge of the things to come;
But naked we came and naked we shall return.

Shed no tears on this love,
For death comes for all of us on this earth;
And we need to learn from the facts around us as well,
For it is better to be very righteous than to be buried with evil deeds.

Life is a long road full of sand and,
All that is acquired on this earth is vanity!
Yes, vanity upon vanity! !
For you and i are unto dust and,
Unto dust we shall return at the end of of all things.
