‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY’, Rev. & Dear Father
Praise the day when you were born;
Thank the Lord for this great morn;
Sing good hymns and blow your horn;
Pray for parents for God’ altar, you now adorn!
God chose you from the rest of flock,
To be a Shepherd with a frock;
And guide all safely to the Rock,
That quenches thirst of souls that knock!
A priestly life’s closest to God!
You are one most beloved to the Lord;
Live your life as per His Word;
Fight satan with this divine sword!
The love of God will guide you through
The trials, travail that you woo;
The harvest work is tough to do,
But God will find more, when time’s due!
The shepherd runs, trudges and walks;
The Holy Spirit in him talks;
He gives the wisdom, power of staff;
Oh, let wolves come and hyenas laugh!
You have done well so far but still
More things will happen by God’s Will;
May grace of God, your soul afill,
And show the way in vale, uphill!
You have a flock to tend night/ day;
You have to put them in God’s way;
You have to tell what is God’s Say;
You have to sacrifice and pray!
Blessed is the man of God;
He speaks like Jesus, every word;
Like Christ Lord, he shepherds the herd;
All live with God in accord.
Your work can’t be extolled by word;
Your earthly life can be bit hard;
In heaven will be your reward;
This is to you my Birthday Card!

Life of a Roman Catholic Priest
A priest is nearest Christ;
A priest is Christ at times;
A priest is almost Christ;
A priest is most divine.
A priest is God’s shepherd;
A priest must tend to flock;
A priest must be like ‘rock’;
A priest should ne’er defrock.
A priest communes with God;
A priest draws hope from Lord;
A priest shows love of Christ;
A priest carries His Cross!
A priest is tempted too;
A priest has falls in life;
A priest falters also;
A priest has strength from Christ.
A priestly job is tough;
A priest’s life can turn rough;
A priest has strife enough,
But has to smile and laugh!
A priest helps harvest souls;
A priest has many roles;
A priest has but one goal –
To drink from Christ’s own bowl!
Pray that more priests should come;
May priests curb their freedom;
May priest usher Kingdom;
A life for Christ’s welcome.

‘holy Family Church House-warming, Perundurai, T.n.’
Excerpt from Dr John Celes’ Welcome Speech
(to be held on 05-02-2010)
The Shepherd comes to meet his flock,
And bless the church that’s newly built,
Wherein an older church had stood on rock –
A sacred ground of prayer for Catholics!
Let’s welcome him; let’s welcome him, ye sheep!
He brings with him his staff that protects us;
This is the time our hearts with joy must weep;
The anointing will give us greater bliss.
Let’s thank the Lord for giving us this house
Of prayer to worship the ‘King of kings’;
Let everyone take Jesus Christ as spouse,
And tread the road to heaven as earthlings.
The Church though small looks splendidly laid out;
It has been christened ‘Holy Family Church’;
Our parish is a small one without doubt,
Nevertheless, peeps in internet-search!
The flock is one led by our parish priest,
Father Claudius, a dynamic, young man!
Who works hard without mistakes in the least;
‘May God give him good health and long life-span! ’
Our heart-felt thanks to Bishop and all souls
Who gave the land for building the new Church;
Our hearty thanks to all who played new roles,
And doled the sums that can now help to preach.
God made it possible to build His house!
Let’s worship Him with masses, hymns and pray;
Let’s reach the world at the click of a mouse!
And preach the Word of God by night and day.
We thank You God for giving us this place,
And worship Jesus Christ, as a family;
Let sweat of foreheads reinforce this base,
And help to rear this provident LILY!

Catholic Priesthood and ‘Year of the Priests’
‘The sheep are calling;
The flocks are swelling;
Good shepherds are a dearth,
Upon the mighty earth! ’
All sheep need good shepherds;
Sans shepherds good, they are mere herds,
That cannot find the pastures green,
With grass that’s fit on global scene.
Good shepherds know each sheep by name;
They do not work for pay or fame;
They know the wolf’s, many a game;
Their staff protects the sheep that’s lame!
Priests are the good shepherds of God;
They woo the souls away from rod;
They serve by being celibate,
And show humanity, God’s Gate.
They say the Holy Mass each day;
They preach and fast, fervently pray;
They drive the devils out, away,
Suffer for Jesus, come what may!
They change bread to body of Christ;
They change the wine to blood of Christ;
They forgive sins like Jesus Lord;
They tell the world the Divine Word.
Priesthood is one of sacraments;
Priests know the Old, New Testaments;
Their work is worth more than all gold;
They bring more souls unto God’s fold!
This is the ‘Year of Catholic priest’.
Lord Jesus waits with His great Feast;
Happy are souls, even the least;
God saves all sinners from the Beast.
Priests take vows for a divine role –
To lead souls to God’s Abode – goal.
Those worldly ones are merely fools!
God chooses priests to be pure souls.
‘Priesthood is passion great for Christ –
The profession that’s one highest;
The goal of men who are wisest –
Who live for Jesus’ sake, diest.’
Dedicated to all Catholic Priests world-over,

The Shepherd
The shepherd goads his sheep by staff,
And leads them on to pastures green,
Instructing them to watch for wolves
That come in sheep-skin, in their midst!
The shepherd knows each sheep by name,
And calls them sweetly when they stray,
Or when they near the ledge atop
A valley deep or hill-side steep!
The sheep too know their shepherd's call,
And graze on meadows, keeping near;
They know he is their protector,
And will save them at any cost!
How safe it is when shepherd's near!
No sheep can ever lose its way;
The shepherd takes care of the flock,
But cannot bear to see one, lost!

Story of Christmas in Verse
Two thousand years ago on earth,
God’s love was born in baby form
By Bethlehem town’s boy king’s birth,
In freezing cold of stable warm!
A virgin turned Mother of God –
The Holy Spirit’s miracle!
The boy was King, Redeemer, Lord;
He talked to all by parable.
God’s son had chosen poverty;
The news was told to shepherds first;
Sinners could get eternity,
If they were sorry, took to Christ.
Divine love fleshed in Mary’s womb!
The man named Jesus would be great;
Death could not lock him in a tomb;
He was satan’s final defeat!
The sinless man grew up all wise;
He learnt the Scripture’s words by heart,
And took Pharisees by surprise,
From tender age, right from the start!
God loved His only Son begot;
The Son obeyed His Father’s word;
Both peace and joy on earth, He brought;
He was the Good Shepherd and Lord!
‘Merry Christmas to all on earth! ’

Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Health, Vailankanni (A Thanks-giving Poem)
With hearts afilled with joy and awe,
We come to thank you, Mother dear;
For all the good things done so far,
Throughout the past, and present year!
O Queen of heaven, soul divine!
O Mary, Mother of Christ Lord!
You kept our family so fine,
Believing, living by the Word.
Do bless us in the future days,
And intercede to Jesus Christ;
Help us to live as per God's ways,
With purity of soul, as first.
O Lady of Miracles, Health!
Answer our prayers said all life;
Give us the grace and needed wealth
To tide over our earthly strife.
O Virgin who bore Jesus King!
Help us to fight the maligned foe!
Teach us to obey God and sing
A hymn of praise, thanksgiving, Oh!
O Vailankanni, born sin-free!
Help us to be holy like you;
And keep our soul heaven-ready,
By giving love to Jesus, due!
Pray for us, O Lady of Health!
Protect us from the devils' snare;
Prevent the tempter's attacks stealth;
Keep us under your loving care!

God’s Word
Living out the Truths we’ve heard, comes in obeying God’s Holy Word,
As the Word of God dwells in us, when we live our life for Christ Jesus.
We can live our lives in Christ’s Love, as we focus on our Savior above,
In this world, to live our life higher, God’s Word needs to be our desire,
Through the Word of God’s Wisdom, we’re fit to serve in His Kingdom.
All men will wither to fall like grass, but, God’s Word shall forever last,
God’s Word will last forevermore, with Truth eternally certain and sure.
The Lord’s promises will fail never, as His Holy Word shall last forever,
The Word of God will empower, the life of believers each day and hour,
Power that’s been revealed by God, to guide us upon this earthly sod.
Only God’s Word can fill your soul, to make one’s life pure and whole,
God’s Holy Word can purify the lives, of every believer in Jesus Christ.
It is God’s Word that changes men, filling hearts and cleansing them,
With Living Water from the Lord, while blessing in our heart is poured,
To keep our life on this earth pure, from a source that’ll forever endure.
Following men we falter and fail, but, living God’s Word we will prevail,
To live for God’s Kingdom friend; a new life in Christ which has no end.
The Word of God is available to all, who’ve been freed from man’s fall,
For one to begin a New Life in Him, Christ, who saved us from our sin,
To live according to God’s Word, those eternal Truths that we’ve heard.

Committed Disciples
With The Word God speaks to us, when we know The Lord Jesus,
The Word the Spirit also uses, to move upon those God chooses,
Men who don’t know His Son, Christ, who came to save everyone,
Through The Word both can receive, wisdom, as God they believe.
In our prayers we speak to Him, God, who saved man from all sin,
Confession to The Lord we make, as sin, God helps us to forsake,
And to The Lord we lift request, so for Christ, we can live our best,
Other men can even pray to Christ, if they desire in Him, a new life.
By fellowship in Christ with others, we together mature as Brothers,
Sisters and Brothers, in Christ above, as God fills us with His Love,
In that love and encouragement, guided by the Spirit God has sent,
We can help one another grow, and live for God the Truth we know.
To The Lord believers must commit, all their life, to be spiritually fit,
To be used for the Kingdom of God, while we’re on the earthly sod,
We all must live a life of discipline, while in this world filled with sin,
Willing for Jesus to pay the price, and become His Living Sacrifice.
For The Lord, we must choose, as Messengers of His Good News,
Discernment towards all the night, to be for God our Savior’s Light.
Through The Word and by prayer, God’s Good News we can share,
As a fellowship committed to be, His Body, pointing all to Eternity.

God Speaks In Many Ways
God speaks to us in many ways, many times throughout our days.
In our trials The Lord may send, a comforting word through a friend,
During that special time of need, God may use them to plant a seed.
A tiny seed sown just for that trial, that will cause your heart to smile.
God may send a friend to impart, words of wisdom into your heart.
God can even speak in the night, even when there’s no one in sight.
God will use the events of life, to draw you closer unto Jesus Christ.
For God is still quite active friend, speaking to the hearts of all men.
Almost anyone The Lord can use, to impart to men His Good News.
And when you truly come to Him, He’s with you through thick and thin.
God begins with you New Life, and talks to you through Jesus Christ.
For Jesus Christ is the Living Word, on this earth until all have heard.
The blessed news of Jesus Christ, that He came to grant Eternal Life.
And He gives you His Holy Spirit, to grasp the Word when you hear it.
Through The Word He will guide, Christians to walk close by His side.
For through The Word He speaks to you, as your life becomes anew.
Through the changes in your life, you shall hear the voice of Christ.
And as a shepherd always near, His voice you’ll hear loud and clear.
So when Christ calls, follow Him, and He will lead you from your sin.
And He will speak to you my friend, and Eternal Life will be your end.
A Catholic House-warming Prayer
By sweat of human forehead built,
And money earned in honest ways;
Reside good Christians within it;
God bless this family always!
O Holy Spirit, Dove of peace,
Preserve love, faith and unity;
Help us to live our life with ease
Through fortitude and piety.
O Mother Mary, pray for us!
Ask Jesus Christ to ever bless,
And keep our souls in grace of God,
Until we part to His abode!
Saint Joseph, show us God is first,
And how to be a father best;
And teach our children about Christ,
And emulate the Holy Nest.
O saints and angels, dwell here-in;
Pray that we stay away from sin;
And keep our soul’s gaze towards God,
Living our lives, like Jesus Lord.
O Jesus Lord, bless us, we pray;
Protect this home both night and day;
Help us to carry our life’s cross,
And serve God nobly without pause!
Lord Jesus, be our guiding Light;
Help us to speak the Truth always;
Goad us to do all things aright;
Proclaiming God to human race!

Sonnet: Word of God
The special grace endowed in me by God,
Goads me to write to men about the Word,
Through pow’r of wisdom coming from the Lord,
So that, more flock can hear the Good Shepherd!
The Holy Spirit writes these wonder-words,
So that ev’n atheists may believe the Lord,
Who feeds and cares for human beings, birds –
And they abide and accept Him as God.
The words can pierce through hearts of stone and clay,
And give it love that flows from God above;
Even the dragon in them, Word can slay:
They acknowledge the one true God and bow!
The Word of God has power eternal,
And fills the soul with God’s grace cardinal!

New Year 2012, a Christian Message
Though born in dark hours, New Year shall be bright,
As Jesus Christ is Truth and Way and Light;
Don’t worry for today’s worries are much;
Just pray to God to give the soothing touch!
The Almighty has plans to bless New Year;
Just live your life soul-wise and loving dear;
If thoughts be cleaner, sins be lesser, Man,
Then change your life for better, God’s grace can!
God gave some strife in Old Year for our good;
His Word’s enough for earthly livelihood;
The God of love will bless you immensely,
If you fix heart’s gaze to eternity!
God is the Master of the universe;
He is sole Lord; not wealth or money-purse;
To God, all things are possible with ease;
His only Son brought joy to man and peace!
Take up your cross in life and follow Christ;
You will be sin-free, not satan-enticed;
Aim for treasures in heaven that’s priceless;
Your earthly bliss shall grow to be boundless!
So, live a life in New Year as God wants;
Say thanks and praise the Lord by hymns and chants;
God cares for all giving both sun and rain;
Spend time in prayer more – a boon, not bane!
Let good men lead lives better than they must;
God undoes rods and frees those hearts accursed;
Have trust in Him who loved you when He made;
Your earthly good deeds will bear fruits, not fade!

Sonnet: Lord Jesus Christ - the Good Shepherd
Christ Jesus Lord is Good Shepherd - the one,
Who is ready to sacrifice His life,
For sake of sheep He leads, and He is Son
Of God, Redeemer and saves all from strife!
Christ gave His life upon the cross for all,
And shed His blood as price for mankind's sins,
So that the penitent can hear God's call,
And enter heaven with pure soul and wins.
The Good Shepherd has other sheep to lead,
For they too heed His call and follow Him;
For all His sheep in flock one, need to feed,
Returning safely when the light turns dim!
Christ is the owner of the flock of sheep;
With Good Shepherd around, no wolves dare peep!

Beware of Satan, the Deceiver of the World
Satan deceives the world for long
As Gospel's truth aren't known to all;
He uses Christian rituals, rites,
Doctrines and laws to delude souls!
The evil spirit Satan thus
Enters the souls afilled with sin,
Pretending as Holy Spirit,
Duping even Christians with faith.
Satan can quote the scriptures well;
He uses name of Lord and God;
The Tempter is a ‘born' Liar;
And steals souls en way to heaven.
Receive the Holy Spirit then,
By knowing Gospel entirely;
And let Him dwell within always,
Enlightening your soul with grace.
False preachers in this world abound,
Who try to interpret the Word,
By creating ‘mass hypnosis',
And making people to convulse.
Loud hymns and intonations work
Illusions, magic, transient ‘cures',
Taking the minds and hearts to heights,
As if God has anointed one.
The Bible is the Word of God;
A heart with sin can't work like Christ;
Only a soul that's cleansed off sin
Can do the things, Jesus akin.
The Holy Spirit cannot dwell
In persons who have little faith,
In sacred words that Bible tells,
And live their lives as per God's Word.
A sustained life of prayer's first,
To follow foot-steps of Lord Christ;
A soul that's kept sin-free always
Can make the Holy Spirit stay.
The Holy Spirit dwells in those
Who have repented for their sins,
Renouncing Satan's pomps and works,
And never follow his vile ways!
No human act or endeavour
Can do miracles on one's own
But grace of God, prayer-obtained,
Alone can heal afflicted men.
For grace of God, strong faith is prime;
Fasting, prayers make life sublime;
Good deeds and charity are next;
All stem from love of Jesus Christ!
God sees the minds and hearts of men;
If body must be God's abode,
It should be freed of every sin,
And stay that way until one's death.
Beware of false teachers, prophets,
Who claim to see Jesus, Angels!
For, God was never seen by man,
From ever since the world began!

What Used To Be
I was too, once deceived, but through God’s Word I believed,
Knowledge of God, I had none, but then I embraced His Son.
I was too, a sinner lost, but then I read about Calvary’s cross,
Where The Lord was crucified, and for all my sin He had died.
Though darkness was all around, by Christ Jesus I was found,
Giving me through His Light, a path to life, out from my night.
Christ sent me the Holy Spirit, to teach me Truth when I hear it,
To grow in the knowledge of Him, who saved me from my sin.
I was separated from a Holy God, upon this fallen earthly sod,
But, brought into His family, through Christ’s Cross at Calvary.
In my trespasses, I was dead, no matter what my religion said,
But, from The Son, Jesus Christ, I was given by God New Life.
In my previous life I was all alone, left on earth to simply roam,
Now my Shepherd and my guide, Christ, is always by my side.
Once I had lived with uncertainty, about the time called eternity,
Now I know through His Grace, in heaven for me awaits a place.
A place for me’s been secured, by Jesus Christ my loving Lord,
Where in His presence I shall be, and, throughout all of Eternity.
And friend God wants you to know, you can have a place to go,
To live with Him in heaven above, provided by our Savior’s love.

To my Wife dear, beloved in Christ…
Twenty years of married life have rolled off fast!
Our woes and trials are things of the past;
Our earthly problems, strife cannot long last;
The world of joys in store for us is vast!
The love you gave to me was memorable;
The care you gave us all was adorable;
The timely words you spoke were admirable;
The toil you gave for family – incomparable!
Life’s burden seems lighter when in Christ Lord;
We’ve learnt to live in piety, accord;
The Lord is our refuge and strength, fortress;
Let’s call to Him aloud when in distress.
Let love be bond between the spouses two;
Let fortitude be guide in things we do;
Let earthly life be Christ-centered in base;
Let heaven be our goal and dream always.
May God bestow His blessings on us dear!
Let’s work unceasingly and without fear;
Let peace prevail when end of life gets near;
Let grace of God become soul’s dress and gear!

About the Holy Bible (Alphabetically-speaking)
Allow the Word to seed within your heart
Beg God’s forgiveness for your sins and grace for soul
Change your earthly life in accordance with the Word
Delve into its meaningful depths
Encounter Jesus in the Living Word
Fall in love with the Word
Genuflect while reflecting upon the Word
Harness the wisdom got by reading the Holy Bible
Ignite the eternal flame of divine love in your heart
Journey to know the ‘Good News’
Knock and it shall be opened unto you
Love the ways of the Maker
Meditate upon the Living Word
Never say ‘No’ to God’s call
Obey the tenets expressed by God
Pray that you live in Jesus and practice the faith truly
Revel in the healing power of the Word
Spread the Word to all across the globe
Thank God for this mysterious device
Understand the true meaning of the Word
Verify the veracity of the verses through fervent prayer
Welcome the eternal Word from God Himself
Xerox the virtues taught by the Holy Bible
You became a ‘Soldier of Christ’ through Baptism
Zealously safe-guard your soul against the Evil One

Prayer to the Holy Spirit
O Holy Spirit,
Third person of the Holy trinity;
Bond of harmony between the Father and Son;
Embodiment of eternal love and peace,
Come dwell forever within us.
Shower your gifts and wisdom;
Help us to spiritually better our lives
And souls, with your immense grace;
Bless our work and toil on earth,
Goad us to walk on the way to heaven always.
Do not allow us to stray from the divine path anytime;
Help us lead a Christ-centered life;
Bless our families and progeny;
Help us maintain Christian principles, morality and sense of values;
Help us lead a life of fortitude and
Love our neighbor as ourselves.
Train us to forgive and forget others’ trespasses;
Foster among us faith, hope, charity and love;
Ward off from our homes, sins of every kind;
Keep away the satanic forces that endlessly try to undo the virtues in us.
Help us brave the storms, travail and tribulations of earthly life.
Teach us to emulate the example of the Holy family;
Help us renounce satan, his pomps and works;
Help us give our mite to the harvest of holy souls;
May we pray with fervor incessantly, for conversion of souls to God.
May we share, spread and sow the love of God among our unfortunate fellow beings
Give us complete success against the evil one and a holy death.
May we pass the Final Test and take our soul undefiled to Heaven.
We beseech you to grant us the needed grace from time to time.
Amen.

Song in Honor of BVM on Her Birthday (Sept.8th)
Baby Mary born today,
Of Joachim and of Anne;
Chosen by God long ago
To Mother Jesus Christ Lord.
Blessed Virgin Mary dear,
Who found favor in God’s heart;
Mediatrix for mankind;
Pray for us to earn God’s grace!
Holy Mary, God’s Mother;
Queen of heaven forever;
Pure of heart, immaculate
Conception who bore Jesus.
Hail O Mary, clad in grace;
Crushed the Serpent’s head and face!
Help me pray more rosaries
For the souls in purgatory.
Give us health of body, mind;
Help us keep soul in pure state;
Guide us lead a holy life;
And avoid sin and all strife!
Speak O Mary to Jesus;
Help us win against Satan;
Save us from the fire of hell;
Show the way to God’s abode.

It Will Begin
It will begin it the House of God, with The Lord’s Chastening Rod,
Chastening all who profess to be, members of God’s own family,
Believers who claim to behold, God’s Eternal Truths they are told,
So they can live their present life, to lift up The Lord Jesus Christ.
God will begin to sift His Church, affecting all, who weekly perch,
With others to hear God’s Word, but, live as if they haven’t heard,
The life changing truth of Christ, who calls upon all to pay a price,
To become the witness for Him, Who, gave Himself for all our sin.
Yet some men today haven’t heard, Eternal Truths of God’s Word,
This, God says, to our shame, all, who profess the Savior’s name,
But through The Spirit God has sent, we have the power to repent,
To turn and be God’s sacrifice, a living testimony for Jesus Christ.
What today in The Church we see, is Paul’s prophesied Apostasy,
That great spiritual falling away, that we see in the churches today,
As this is what’s to be my friend, before The Judgment in the end,
And those, being led away by sin, must at this time, return to Him.
Soon the time of Grace will close, after He raptures all who chose,
To live their life for God’s praise, being Christ’s light in these days,
With Judgment for all those deceived, all who truly never believed,
The life changing, Word of God, will instead, see Christ’s Iron Rod.
