Les Fleurs des Mots: Paul the Roo

Rivals at roo delivery
Feeling rude and livery
After revelry at the Rivoli
Sought ruder revelry
At the Rue de Rivoli.
They threw a roo
Into the Seine.
Paul was never
seen again.

If they'd settled for ruder reverie,
Those rude arrivals
could have had their ruder reverie
At the Rue de Rivoli
And Paul would be okay.
But reverie ain't revelry
And Paul's now in Bay Biscay.

My Reverie

Our love
Is a dream, but in my reverie
I can see that this love was meant for me
Only a poor fool
Never schooled in the whirlpool
Of romance could be so cruel
As you are to me
My dreams are as worthless as tin to me
Without you life will never begin to be
So love me
As I love you in my reverie
Make my dream a reality
Lets dispense with formality
Come to me in my reverie

In The Silence Of A Reverie

In the silence of a reverie,
I hear a lonesome whistle call.
The cries of someone wanting
their lover to come back home,
and the sound of anguished voices
from a battlefield far away.

In the silence of a reverie,
I hear a baby cry for its father.
A father who marched to duty
to fight a far off war
and whom will never see
another spring again.

In the silence of a reverie,
I hear the muted cries
of the wailing widows
struggling in the tears of their grief.
I see the white crosses
row upon row is silent cemeteries.

In the silence of a reverie,
I hear a future filled
with the cries of hope and understanding.
A future filled with victories
from the enemies
we hold within our minds.

The lost smile

The lost smile

a magic smile as a reverie
Oh! a life full of revelry

a welcome smile unsaid
leading all my way to bed

smile a seductive one
absorb me to be won

your smile tickling my cheeks
ah! raise me into the highest peaks

my hidden smile weaving silence
without sense, wait for your presence

a smile totally forgotten
drowns us all in pricking pain

a tear-laden smile on the face
speaks volumes beyond words

smile whispering colors
full of blushing pleasures

a vanishing smile with heaviness
light leaving for darkness

and me and me wandering awhile
in search of my lost smile

Cemetery walks…

The gravel goads me as I walk…
Do you not hear me, do you not see me
Do you not feel me under foot?
Do you not, talk …Speak! Why sir you are ruder
Than the sky, ruder than the stars and moon
On high, how dare you scuffle on bye?
Kicking; me over at random as I keep.
Your offensive size nines dry. Sir—sir
Sir— even a dandelion has the curtsey,
To bow its head before it drifts on’
The wind: surely you sir could at least sing!
Do you not hear these yew trees or the grass?
Do you not hear the bird’s song in the holy?
Does that robin there not make you gasp!
Do you not hear my unchartered music? Sir—sir
Sir— I’m the journey and you are just the path,
That leads to the end of the road:
“The swirling cherry blossom or so I‘m told”
When; the wind sweeps through your left
Eye socket and tolls, know that death, is
Looking though the right still in abject absents.

C[l]over Girl after Emily Dickinson - To make a prairie it takes a clover

To make true change it takes a Biden and one B.
One Biden and a B.
And reverie.
But reverie alone won't do
'til Palin's blue.

To make an omelette it takes some milk and one egg.
Some milk and an egg
and gas or light.
With reverie alone make do
if we're not few.

To stake a claim takes some land and one hope.
Some land and a hope,
called reverie.
The reverie alone won't do
with carats few.

To bake a cake it takes...
'and so ad infinitum'

My computer

Here is my dearest friend computer.

It is much more cuter than anybody else.

And... it is certainly my best tutor.

I sometimes feel nervous or sad

And it is always neutor, my computer.

But sometimes it behaves like an executer

Showing the things I don't like

Thinking I am just a looker.

It keeps mute as a fish, my computer.

But puts me sometimes into a fluter.

Oh, my dearest computer!

It is such a cure and even rude.

And behaves like a lure.

It can be ruder than anything else

Then I am in a stupor.

But...it is still my super.

It is my best curator.

It gives me a cue or something new.

The rest about it I'll tell you later.

Pariah

Pariah's pulsating in sweet reverie
Their love in mine heart voluptuary
No heart love or even accept me
Except my out casted heart in revelry

Doth I drink frothy sweet seas
Of liquors dreams and voracious sprees
Only to find my empty glass
And mine sobriety devoured and my life doth pass

Bent reflections hath showed me
Truth with no lie, nothing flowery
My life drunk in my heart outcast
No sober judgment judged drunkenness vast

Still pariahs pulsate in me
An outcast man no love to be
Only loved by pariahs in me
That reflect bent in mine heart of infamy

Lost In Meditation

(ooh intro)
I am lost in meditation
And my reverie
Brings you back to me
For, in my imagination
Love has lingered on
As though youd never gone
This is just a dream that can not last
When the magic of this mood has passed
So, I sit in meditation
Trying to pretend, this mood will never end
Lost in meditation
And my reverie
Brings you back to me

die Flut;
vorne war Tag, und hinten blieben die Nächte,
oben war unser Stern, und unten versanken die andern,
draußen verstummte der Sturm, und drinnen wuchs unsre
Faust.

Erst als ein Regen entbrannte, lauschten wir wieder;
Speere stürzten herab und Engel traten hervor,
hefteten schwärzere Augen in unsere schwarzen.
Vernichtet standen wir da. Unser Wappen flog auf:

Ein Kreuz im Blut und ein größeres Schiff überm Herzen.

I hear and Reflect

A bell tolls sonorously
one single chime. Then silence reigns
It wakes me from my reverie.
Conscious again of aches and pains.

I had lost temporarily
in contemplation of the past
That single knell reminding me
Of the long years which quickly passed.

Before the years caught up with me
For old age does not come alone
It brings along infirmity.
Which hitherto you have not known.

When you are young you do not know
What future lies ahead of you
but as you live and learn and grow
You will become as others do.

Much more aware than what you were
of how your body will re- act.
To the stress and strain you bear.
That you must think before you act.

Gone is the energy of youth
You used to waste without a thought
You slowly come to learn the truth
That rude health can’t be sold or bought.

As long as I can hear that chime
which has disturbed my reverie
I can be certain that this time
The death knell does not ring for me.

Each day an opportunity
To do things I can still do
although slow and steadily.
My body still allows me to.

Although I pay in aches and pains
I do not think the price too high.
My interest in life remains.
I am too busy far, to die.

I know I will eventually
but do not let it worry me
It is the only certainty
the bell will toll one day for me.

To Call up the Shades

One candle is enough. Its gentle light
will be more suitable, will be more gracious
when the Shades arrive, the Shades of Love.

One candle is enough. Tonight the room
should not have too much light. In deep reverie,
all receptiveness, and with the gentle light—
in this deep reverie I will form visions
to call up the Shades, the Shades of Love.

The Stirrup Cup

Come, drink a stirrup cup with me,
Before we close our rouse.
You 're all aglow with wine, I know:
The master of the house,
Unmindful of our revelry,
Has drowned the carking devil care,
And slumbers in his chair.

Come, drink a cup before we start;
We 've far to ride to-night.
And Death may take the race we make,
And check our gallant flight:
But even he must play his part,
And tho' the look he wears be grim,
We 'll drink a toast to him!

For Death,--a swift old chap is he,
And swift the steed He rides.
He needs no chart o'er main or mart,
For no direction bides.
So, come, a final, cup with me,
And let the soldiers' chorus swell,--
To hell with care, to hell!

What Power On Earth Changes Saul?

What miracle of transformation
what power on earth in heaven changes
Saul into amazing Apostle Paul?

Saul of Tarsus changed his name, became widely known,
as Apostle Paul, wrote about 25% of New Testament;
devoted next 32 years, witnessing Jesus as the Messiah.

Yes Apostle Paul was martyred;
for his faith in Jesus as Messiah
a man chosen personally by God;

Paul's written words;
are the testimony of a man
that violently persecuted;

as many early Christians
as he could arrest seize execute;
then became a Christian

due to a supernatural spiritual experience;
God assigns Saul a unique transformation Acts 22: 6-11
as Apostle Paul he will preach to gentiles.
