Star Has Lost Her Starshine
Star used to Shine for all to see
But now that's just a Memory
Of one more thing that used to be
For Star has lost Her Starshine
Another time that she went Dark
Her Soulmate gone, life's meaning stark
She watched him to the Heavens arc
He took with him Her Starshine
Never understanding why
There was no time for said good-byes
Nor one last time for his blue eyes
To ever see His Star shine
Upon the Skyline she would gaze
Her Soulful eyes were teardropped glazed
She couldn't see her yesterdays
They blinded all her Starshine
To understand the plan Divine
She searched within and tried to find
A reason not to lose her mind
As she had lost her Starshine
She really didn't want to stay
To face Life's struggles every day
The Light too dim to see the way
For her to find her Starshine
And then one day she found a Friend
Inspired the poems she'd someday Pen
His Mission was a Hand to lend
For her to find her Starshine
Her head upon the pillow lay
As Stari dreamed of Words to say
To lure the Muse who slipped away
To bring back all her Starshine
And then one day a brilliant Light
The Muse appeared within her sights
Inspired fingers told to Write
Directions to her Starshine
One evening when her day was done
She met a Blue-Eyed Blonde for fun
She never dreamed he'd be the One
To find her missing Starshine
Her Starshine to her had returned
She found another Him to yearn
More brilliant than before it Burned
Illuminating Star's Shine
She Melded unlike times before
To him who made her Spirit soar
To Places never reached before
He magnified her Starshine
Blinding to all those whose Eyes
Saw Star's light blazing in the skies
Fueled from Gazes from Blue Eyes
Mirroring the Star's shine
But Dreams we dream can never be
Unless we take the Chance to see
If they could be Reality
Or just appear in our minds
Sometimes Dreams can't last Forever
Sometimes lasting next to Never
Dreams we dream so easily severed
Dreams dreamt under The Moon's shine
A Cloud filled Sky she feels the pain
Of having lost a Love again
Tears from Eyes of green do rain
The Clouds all hide Her Starshine
She opens up and tells her Friend
Who once again his Hand does lend
To dry her Tears and her Heart mend
To help to find The Star's shine
It's only for a little while
For soon he'll make his Stari smile
And then again men she'll Beguile
As she turns on Her Starshine
Neither of them have regrets
Lovers grateful to have met
Memories shared they can't Forget
Of Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes
And Star's Shine
Sweet memories linger as they Sleep
Tucked within their Hearts to keep
Will never melt from Tears they Weep
From Eyes on Whom the Stars shone
So do not Cry or Weep for me
For someday soon Star's shine you'll see
From Memories made and those to be
They all make up
My Star Shine
Take Your Fingers From My Hair
Take your fingers from my hair
They have gotten us nowhere
We can't last another second
For we are two, too lost for open doors
Take your memories and your ways
Let me see a brighter day
Greener fields aren't hard to hope for
It's just hard to go on living here without you
Chorus:
Somewhere I have dreamed
That you haven't got the time to be with me
Somewhere though it seems
That you have been making lovin' without me
Starshine, moonshine
you're the light that shines upon me baby
I know, you'll go
find yourself another lover lady
Let me tell you how I feel
Loving others isn't real
You are blind
Too blind to notice
That their love is not the love we share together
Chorus:
Somewhere I have dreamed
That you haven't got the time to be with me
Somewhere though it seems
That you have been making lovin' without me
Starshine, moonshine
your the light that shines upon me baby
I know, you'll go
find yourself another lover lady
Starshine, moonshine
you're the light that shine upon me baby
I know, you'll go
find yourself another lover lady

And This Shall Be For Music
I will make you brooches and topys for your delight of birdsong at morning and starshine at night And I will make a palace that's fit for you and me, of green days in the forest and blue days at sea. And this shall be for music when no one else is near< Such a fine song for singing, the rare so ng to hear! That only I remember, that only you admire, of the broad road that streches and the roadside fire. And this shall be for music. And this shall be for song. Brooches and toys for your delight, Birdsong at moring and starshine at night. And this shall be for music when no one else is near such a fine song for singing a rare song to hear. That only I remember, that only you admire. And this shall be, and this shall be, And this shall be for music, music, music!

Morning Please Dont Come
(tom springfield)
Duet with tom springfield
Morning please dont come
Surely you see that my lover is sleeping
Morning please dont come
Let the night linger on
When the stars have left the sky
We must say fond goodbye
Make the night a little longer
Morning please dont come
Starshine glow a little stronger
Morning please dont come
Day dont break for you will take
My love away from me
Try to hold back the sun
I beg you morning please dont come
Sing sweet nightingale
Sing me a song of a night never-ending
Sing sweet nightingale
And Ill try to pretend
That tomorrows nowhere near
And theres nothing to fear
Make the night a little longer
Morning please dont come
Starshine glow a little stronger
Morning please dont come
Day dont break for you will take
My love away from me
Try to hold back the sun
I beg you morning please dont come
Try to hold back the sun
I beg you morning please dont come
Try to hold back the sun
I beg you morning please dont come

Whispers From Other Sky
Cries the night in silence
Covers up the starshine
By the tears of darkness
Cries the night!
Cries the night unaware
Words of pain
Whispers of harassing
Cries the night!
Fade away the rashness
Fall down the mercy plea
With the last shadow
On the earth!
Dying eyes...beholding!
Dying ears...hearing!
Feeling from the other
Other sky!
Whispers from the other sky!!!
Whispers from the other sky!!!
Other sky unknowing
Oh!
Beyond the end
Kingdom of the other
Viskningar!

While The West Is Paling
While the west is paling
Starshine is begun.
While the dusk is failing
Glimmers up the sun.
So, till darkness cover
Life's retreating gleam,
Lover follows lover,
Dream succeeds to dream.
Stoop to my endeavour,
O my love, and be
Only and for ever
Sun and stars to me.

Won't You Celebrate With Me
won't you celebrate with me
what i have shaped into
a kind of life? i had no model.
born in babylon
both nonwhite and woman
what did i see to be except myself?
i made it up
here on this bridge between
starshine and clay,
my one hand holding tight
my one hand; come celebrate
with me that everyday
something has tried to kill me
and has failed.

On The Road To Waterloo: 17 October (En Vigilante, 2 Hours)
It is grey tingling azure overhead
With silver drift. Beneath, where from the green
The trees are reared, the distance stands between
At peace: and on this side the whole is spread
For sowing and for harvest, subjected
Clear to the sky and wind. The sun's slow height
Holds it through noon, and at the furthest night
It lies to the moist starshine and is fed.
Sometimes there is no country seen (for miles
You think) because of the near roadside path
Dense with long forest. Where the waters run
They have the sky sunk into them—a bath
Of still blue heat; and in their flow, at whiles,
There is a blinding vortex of the sun.

Swansong
Nothing in the shade
of the sun divulges
its fate perched upon
the silver line on the horizon
for every gloaming
its supercilious flames
sank to its dark demise
and in the long furlough
it musters the starshine
so when the wintry moon
waned from her divan
he would shoot a flaming arrow
and shear the canopies eastward
revived with duplicitous hopes
unbeknownst to the tongue
awaiting to quell it again
in a forked and malcontent cycle

Memory
When I was young my heart and head were light,
And I was gay and feckless as a colt
Out in the fields, with morning in the may,
Wind on the grass, wings in the orchard bloom.
O thrilling sweet, my joy, when life was free
And all the paths led on from hawthorn-time
Across the carolling meadows into June.
But now my heart is heavy-laden. I sit
Burning my dreams away beside the fire:
For death has made me wise and bitter and strong;
And I am rich in all that I have lost.
O starshine on the fields of long-ago,
Bring me the darkness and the nightingale;
Dim wealds of vanished summer, peace of home,
And silence; and the faces of my friends.

The Old Man's Grave
Make it where the winds may sweep
Through the pine boughs soft and deep,
And the murmur of the sea
Come across the orient lea,
And the falling raindrops sing
Gently to his slumbering.
Make it where the meadows wide
Greenly lie on every side,
Harvest fields he reaped and trod,
Westering slopes of clover sod,
Orchard lands where bloom and blow
Trees he planted long ago.
Make it where the starshine dim
May be always close to him,
And the sunrise glory spread
Lavishly around his bed.
And the dewy grasses creep
Tenderly above his sleep.
Since these things to him were dear
Through full many a well-spent year,
It is surely meet their grace
Should be on his resting-place,
And the murmur of the sea
Be his dirge eternally.

Values
Did you deceive me? Did I trust
A heart of fire to a heart of dust?
What matter? Since once the world was fair,
And you gave me the rose of the world to wear.
That was the time to live for! Flowers,
Sunshine and starshine and magic hours,
Summer about me, Heaven above,
And all seemed immortal, even Love.
Well, the mortal rose of your love was worth
The pains of death and the pains of birth;
And the thorns may be sharper than death--who knows? -
That crowd round the stem of a deathless rose.

June... June... June... June...
This is for June....and all the summers it brings
Wind chasing bells......of a Church steeple ring
Olde songs of wedlock....over top hat, and lace
'Fore June passes torch....to July's scarlet face
Tree's are full jacket's...........of multi-hue green
The last pink magnolia leaf......still can be seen
There's a breeze in the air, that carries a scent
Of her sweet honeysuckle....fresh efflorescence
Still, nights cast a chill, but June has its motive
An inviting warm flame....bright amorous votive
Moonlite romance...'neath a nautic June breeze
Make love in June sparkle like starshine on sea

Return To Paradise (Part 1)
Kings and queens and frogs and princes
Gnomes and dwarfs and dragons old
Treasures hidden, golden sphinxes
Lovely maiden, giants bold
Hush, my little lovely darlings
Dream on through the deepest night
Heres a kiss for each of you
Wonder where you going to
When youre sleeping tight
Return to paradise...
Sometimes when its really quiet
I come running to your bed
Listen hard to hear you breathing
Stroke your tender little heads
You are flowers sent from heaven
On a gentle golden breeze
Heres a kiss for each of you
Maoamoondogs singing too
Lullabies of peace
Return to paradise...
On a ship to elfland wonders
Just a little trip away
There youre playing in the starshine
Underneath the milky way
All the angels in their glory
Will be watching over you
Dream on while the stars are falling
(Falling on you)
May your dreams come true...

Dusty springfield, thats a pretty name
It even sounds like a game
In a green field, hobby horses play the dusty game when its may
Pink and paisley skies shining in green eyes
A magic pin wheel
London flowers in her hair
Dusty springfield
Silver starshine over crystal waters
Petals fall from her glance
Flowers sparkle
With a dew of morning, feathers float from her dance
Suddenly the songs the thing
Fill your cup, come to the spring
And youll stand so still
And youll feel the thrill
Dusty springfield, thats a pretty name
Pretty as a pearl
What a pretty girl

Holes In The Tapestry
Like a maudlin brooding
yarns unwoven for the bones
exhumed from the cold stones
I confabulate with the night
and her ashen moiré locks
falling like strings unfettered
from her enigmatic bleakness
fingers interlacing, knotting
vying for the lost linkage
of the sequestered nocturnes
And there is nothing more alone
in rivaling loneliness
stuck in a crossroad of footsteps
chasing their tapping heels
and the slithering pavement
only coiled to a vertigo
of ribald blatancy unfolded
from the clutters of perchance
The firmament was palled
by the melanin of the vesper
and holes rifted like cuts
bleeding abashedly
The pallor of the stars
yearned for the incendiary
but the flame is gone
with all the misgivings
The starshine beaming
on the silvered sifting,
scouring upon the sieves
tilling the sanguinary land
The yarn ends here
its ends forever lost
in a labyrinthine knot
(not a lasso to return,
not a lace to wove more,
just a noose and a garrison
suspended in multitudes)
gripping the heart
asphyxiating the chances
there is not a chance for revival
because we are the architects -
we are our ruptures
and festooned raptures
and the blame for every
hole in our tapestry.

The Lost Rivers
Far down from the thunder
And rush of the street,
Flow Westbourne and Tyebourne
And Effra and Fleet,
'Neath blue skies and grey skies
Once freely that ran -
Lost rivers of London,
Forgotten of man.
Do they ever remember
Where night is like day,
Red leaves of October
And green leaves of May;
The sunshine and starshine,
The rain and the dew,
The gold of the kingcup,
The kingfisher's blue?
Do they think of the flurry
And rush of the weirs,
The mill-wheel that scattered
Drops from it like tears,
The sun-dappled shallows,
The dusk of the pool
Whose fishes bade urchins
Play truant from school?
Do they dream about cresses
And catkins in spring,
And beds of green rushes
Where reed-warblers sing,
Of willow-herb blowing
And swallows that weave,
Where the dragonfly glistens,
Their mazes at eve?
Deep under the bustle
And rush of the street
Flow Westbourne and Tyebourne
And Effra and Fleet,
In darkness and silence
Forlornly they run,
Lost rivers of London,
Forgetting the sun.

Sea & Sand
Here by the sea and sand
Here by the sea and sand
Nothing ever goes as planned,
Nothing ever goes as planned,
I just couldnt face going home
I just couldnt face going home
It was just a drag on my own.
It was just a drag on my own.
They finally threw me out
They finally threw me out
My mother got drunk on stout,
My mother got drunk on stout,
My dad couldnt stand on two feet,
My dad couldnt stand on two feet,
As he lectured about morality.
As he lectured about morality.
Now I guess the families complete,
Now I guess the families complete,
With me hanging round on the street
With me hanging round on the street
Or here on the beach.
Or here on the beach.
The girl I love
The girl I love
Is a perfect dresser,
Is a perfect dresser,
Wears every fashion
Wears every fashion
Gets it to the tee.
Gets it to the tee.
Heavens above,
Heavens above,
I got to match her
I got to match her
She knows just how
She knows just how
She wants her man to be
She wants her man to be
Leave it to me.
Leave it to me.
My jackets gonna be cut slim and checked
My jackets gonna be cut slim and checked
Maybe a touch of seersucker with an open neck
Maybe a touch of seersucker with an open neck
I ride a g.s. scooter with my hair cut neat
I ride a g.s. scooter with my hair cut neat
I wear my wartime coat in the wind and sleet.
I wear my wartime coat in the wind and sleet.
I see her dancing
I see her dancing
Across the ballroom
Across the ballroom
Uv light making starshine
Uv light making starshine
Of her smile.
Of her smile.
I am the face,
I am the face,
She has to know me,
She has to know me,
Im dressed up better than anyone
Im dressed up better than anyone
Within a mile.
Within a mile.
So how come the other tickets look much better?
So how come the other tickets look much better?
Without a penny to spend they dress to the letter.
Without a penny to spend they dress to the letter.
How come the girls come on oh so cool
How come the girls come on oh so cool
Yet when you meet em, every ones a fool?
Yet when you meet em, every ones a fool?
Come sleep on the beach
Come sleep on the beach
Keep within my reach
Keep within my reach
I just want to die with you near
I just want to die with you near
Im feeling so high with you here.
Im feeling so high with you here.
Im wet and Im cold
Im wet and Im cold
But thank God I aint old
But thank God I aint old
I should have split home at fifteen
I should have split home at fifteen
Why didnt I ever say what I mean?
Why didnt I ever say what I mean?
Theres a story that the grass is so green,
Theres a story that the grass is so green,
What did I see?
What did I see?
Where have I been?
Where have I been?

Nothing is planned, by the sea and the sand

The Daylight is Dying
The daylight is dying
Away in the west,
The wild birds are flying
In silence to rest;
In leafage and frondage
Where shadows are deep,
They pass to its bondage—
The kingdom of sleep.
And watched in their sleeping
By stars in the height,
They rest in your keeping,
Oh, wonderful night.
When night doth her glories
Of starshine unfold,
’Tis then that the stories
Of bush-land are told.
Unnumbered I hold them
In memories bright,
But who could unfold them,
Or read them aright?
Beyond all denials
The stars in their glories
The breeze in the myalls
Are part of these stories.
The waving of grasses,
The song of the river
That sings as it passes
For ever and ever,
The hobble-chains’ rattle,
The calling of birds,
The lowing of cattle
Must blend with the words.
Without these, indeed, you
Would find it ere long,
As though I should read you
The words of a song
That lamely would linger
When lacking the rune,
The voice of the singer,
The lilt of the tune.
But, as one half-hearing
An old-time refrain,
With memory clearing,
Recalls it again,
These tales, roughly wrought of
The bush and its ways,
May call back a thought of
The wandering days,
And, blending with each
In the memories that throng,
There haply shall reach
You some echo of song.
