Sadness
1
Dear ghosts, dear presences, O my dear parents,
Why were you so sad on porches, whispering?
What great melancholies were loosed among our swings!
As before a storm one hears the leaves whispering
And marks each small change in the atmosphere,
So was it then to overhear and to fear.
2
But all things then were oracle and secret.
Remember the night when, lost, returning, we turned back
Confused, and our headlights singled out the fox?
Our thoughts went with it then, turning and turning back
With the same terror, into the deep thicket
Beside the highway, at home in the dark thicket.
3
I say the wood within is the dark wood,
Or wound no torn shirt can entirely bandage,
But the sad hand returns to it in secret
Repeatedly, encouraging the bandage
To speak of that other world we might have borne,
The lost world buried before it could be born.
4
Burchfield describes the pinched white souls of violets
Frothing the mouth of a derelict old mine
Just as an evil August night comes down,
All umber, but for one smudge of dusky carmine.
It is the sky of a peculiar sadness—
The other side perhaps of some rare gladness.
5
What is it to be happy, after all? Think
Of the first small joys. Think of how our parents
Would whistle as they packed for the long summers,
Or, busy about the usual tasks of parents,
Smile down at us suddenly for some secret reason,
Or simply smile, not needing any reason.
6
But even in the summers we remember
The forest had its eyes, the sea its voices,
And there were roads no map would ever master,
Lost roads and moonless nights and ancient voices—
And night crept down with an awful slowness toward the water;
And there were lanterns once, doubled in the water.
7
Sadness has its own beauty, of course. Toward dusk,
Let us say, the river darkens and look bruised,
And we stand looking out at it through rain.
It is as if life itself were somehow bruised
And tender at this hour; and a few tears commence.
Not that they are but that they feel immense.

I'm Lost, I need change
I'm lost in a darkness as dark as the night
but lighter then the stars above
I'm lost in a memory that once were
but now is gone far away
I'm lost in the sadness after the dark
but live my life with laughter
I'm lost in this world, so beautiful it is
but it takes my life from me
I'm lost in myself and so confused
that my heart is broken in two
It's dark, it's light
it's noon, it's night
everything is changing but me
I'm lost in a life so still and slow
that my heart stops beating soon
I'm lost in a town where my heart isn't placed
and without my heart I can't live
I need my life back,
I need to change,
I need to get out of here
I'm lost in this place where i don't belong
And if I stay my breathing will stop
Therefore I go
out into the world
to a place greater then here
There I am lost in a big new world
But my heart will be with me again

Twisted
I think it started
The way you twist my words
This world can get so shallow
I feel so tired
I still loose myself in other voices
I cant help myself
The mirror must fall
Its falling to pieces
And I feel twisted
I dont want to be with you
A million night faces
Turning inside out
The lies in their hands
All I do is smile
I dont want to be like this
A million night faces
Turning inside out, inside out
The names on the wall
The pain to remember
I am not what I seem
I have to balance
I have to think
Can I give you something more ?
Christ on the cross
The faceless bodies
And angels calling to me
Please seduce me
Please let me use you
And I feel twisted
I dont want to be with you
A million night faces
Turning inside out, inside out
All I do is smile
Too many secret smiles
Heh , heh, sarah
Too many secret smiles
Heh , heh, sarah
I feel so twisted
I feel so twisted
Too many secret smiles
Heh , heh, sarah
So twisted,
Etc ...

The Night I Lost You
This night,
This very dark night,
Was the night I lost you.
The cold air blew through my hair,
As I watched you fall to the ground.
Slow motion had seemed to take you over,
As you fell,
And I was suddenly empty,
Nothing, but fear flooded my mind.
I lost you to the dark,
I couldn’t see you anymore.
You went down, down,
And didn’t come back.
Why didn’t you come back to me?
I stood in the night,
Cold.
Didn’t know what to do.
I didn’t know why you left.
You had no reason for going.
You just fell,
Fell away from me.
That’s why I’ll always remember this night.
This night,
This very dark night,
Was the night I lost you.

Your Eyes
The night sky is not a place,
Where I could lost while watching.
That time I would only remember ur face,
But still moons n stars try attracting
I wonder why they are so beautiful!
I could watch them for hour's n hours,
Those two eyes of yours and I give
Damn to those moon n stars.
Stars are millions n your eyes are two
But your eyes are the one to win.
Dear, It's the same mistake they always do
Every night, come to sky n compare with you
Or maybe that's not what they are doing,
They must have known you would be sleeping
In night, so they are taking their chance
Being happy, twinkling in sky and doing dance.
Many would fall in the beauty of the stars
Watching them from roofs, window, street and
Stopping bike and looking through the window of cars
Lost in its beauty and never ending night that's what they demand.
But sorry dear, I also look to the sky.
Laugh at them because I know they are shy
I don't want to see its beauty,
I have a thing to do and I call it my duty.
I ask them not to come to sky ever again
Remember this or else u (stars) would be in a great pain.
I wish if I could destroy then all,
Blast them in pieces with the strongest cannon ball.
Let's leave this and them in their own world.
I know your eyes are too beautiful.
So let me see your eyes until the day is over
I want to lost in its deepness for forever.
Don't try to hide those from me
They are to beautiful so let me see,
Or don't block with your hands or move your head
If I don't see it, still I would be breathing but a man like dead.
So please don't stop me dear,
I can't see it every day,
I am happy, smiling, inside I am dancing
It's all because u came to meet me today…

August
LEAVE me alone, for August's sleepy charm
Is on me, and I will not break the spell;
My head is on the mighty Mother's arm:
I will not ask if life goes ill or well.
There is no world!--I do not care to know
Whence aught has come, nor whither it shall go.
I want to wander over pastures still,
Where sheared white sheep and mild-eyed cattle graze;
To climb the thymy, clover-covered hill,
To look down on the valley's hot blue haze;
And on the short brown turf for hours to lie
Gazing straight up into the clear, deep sky,
I want to walk through crisp gold harvest fields,
Through meadows yellowed by the August heat;
To loiter through the cool dim wood, that yields
Such perfect flowers and quiet so complete--
The happy woods, where every bud and leaf
Is full of dreams as life is full of grief.
I want to think no more of all the pain
That in the city thrives, a poison flower--
The eternal loss, the never-coming gain,
The lifelong woe--the joy that lives an hour,
Bright, evanescent as the dew that dawn
Shows on this silent, wood-encircled lawn.
I want to pull the honey-bud that twines
About the blackberries and gold-leaf sloes;
To part the boughs where the rare water shines,
Tread the soft bank whereby the bulrush grows--
I want to be no more myself, but be
Made one with all the beauty that I see.
Oh, happy country, myriad voiced and dear,
I have no heart, no eyes, except for you;
Yours are the only voices I will hear,
Yours is the only bidding I will do:
You bid me be at peace, and let alone
That loud, rough world where peace is never known.
Yet through your voices comes a sterner cry,
A voice I cannot silence if I would;
It mars the song the lark sings to the sky,
It breaks the changeful music of the wood.
'Back to your post--a charge you have to keep--
Freedom is bleeding while her soldiers sleep.'
Oh, heart of mine I have to carry here,
Will you not let me rest a little while?--
A space 'mid doubtful fight and doubtful fear--
A little space to see the Mother's smile,
To stretch my hands out to her, and possess
No sense of aught but of her loveliness?
Ah, just this power to feel how she is fair
Means just the power to see how foul life is.
How can I linger in the sacred air
And taste the pure wine of the dear sun's kiss
When in the outer dark my brothers moan,
Nor even guess the joys that I have known?
Back the least soldier goes! To jar and fret,
To hope uncrowned--faith tried--love wounded sore--
To prayers that never have been answered yet,
To dreams that must be dreams for evermore;
To all that, after all, is far more dear
Than all the joys of all the changing year.

Cat in bed (real expirience)
It was vaccation time and
I was very happy.
I played all day picking,
dolls on their noses and throwing them
Just like a strong man.
And the computer
it got the fever and I got the scoldings!
My parents send me early to bed.
Just when it was 8
I resisted the most to my parents
But then lost resisting to them
I went to bed with a long face
Determined not to sleep,
My brother looked me with a sly smile
My parents switched off the light
And said good night.
It was dark in the room and I
Saw a dark figure having looks of a cat
Just beside me on.
My very own bed
I was puzzled as
there was no cat in the house
And when I touched it,
Oh! It felt like fur,
Coward me screamed like anything
And my parents came rushing along,
And they put on the lights and I saw
Lying beside me on my bed
Was a cat-like doll
And there was my brother on the floor
Purring just like a cat!

Orison (Give me your smile)
Waves meet the end
When the ocean reach the land
Water the sand, before your feet
Two worlds meet
The future is far way, at the end of the world
In the horizon still our wonder
High mountain we climbed
Seek for this secret, far sighted distance
Nothing...Do you see the end? ...Nothing
We can't see the ending of everything
Now we learned, future is unpredictable
Not yet to cherish
Not yet to cry
Look back the past
Broken dreams pull your tears
Don't cry my dear soon it will over
All we got not will always be good
Because, It's not heaven we live on
Always have true hopes, never get down
So smile for a little, keep hopes alive
Chase on the light
In depth of the dark
Could be faint but still bright
Bright and brighter when it's dark and darker
Remember
The past has gone
The future still untold
We need the light to move on
Stay in sadness or seek for happiness
Shed you tears, don't cry my dear
Paradise is not where we living now
To promise you will happy forever
Just give your smile to me
I'll lend my hand for you
We will cross the ocean,
Chase the basement of the rainbow
Till we reach the horizon
The end of the world
If we are the ships, lost in the ocean
All we need, a direction
You as a captain with options
Decide your choice
To sink in the middle or
To harbor your dream
Remember
Far in the ocean
As the waves will meet the end
As it wash the sand
Soon we will find a land
Back home and safe from the stormy seas..
The hope always exist for whom believe it
The dark is forever if we deny the present of the light

Mother India
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
You are the paradise on earth
Where things are not in any dearth.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
In Your Lap live men and women
Of every caste and religion.
You rain your love and affection
On them all without distinction.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
You have got a peculiar trait
Due to which you are very great.
You adopt the foreigners too,
Who like to live and die for you.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
You are beautiful, all perfect;
You are rich in every aspect.
In the ancient times, we have heard,
Aliens called you ‘a golden bird’
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
The mountains guard your honour here;
The ocean washes your feet there.
The rivers contain sweet water
Which for us is just like nectar.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
Our culture is ancient and high,
We are respected that is why.
Culture has bound us by and by,
With a chain of pure love and tie.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
We are sorry here live some men
Who are not loyal, but still then,
Pose as lovers of this nation,
Whom we do not like to mention.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
We are sorry here live some men;
Fire of hatred they ever fan.
Freedom, we fear, may not be lost,
Which we have got at a great cost.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
Let us be wise not to be tool
Of selfish powers which befool
Those who do not well understand
Their aim which is behind their stand.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
We will be lucky, if we die
For you, O Gracious Country High!
We’ll give them a fitting reply,
Who see you with a slanting eye.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.

Home, Sweet Home.....
There is no place like home in this world
Home sweet home where I always live so happily
A light from the sky seems to bless us there
and God's love is spread all over there
How happy when you sit with loved ones
and to see their faces full of love smile
How nice to sit near our parents and great parents
and listen to their old stories that bring us lessons too
Our garden full of greenery and the flowers are
bloomed to give us pleasure
All those birds on the trees singing gaily
to give us a peace of mind
Our pets run freely in and out of the house
and keep us busy to watch their naughtiness
When I look at the mountains in their great splendor
that blows with cool breeze that give us healthy life
Our neighbors are dear and so helpful without fear
An exile from home, bring nothing but sadness
Because home is sweet home.

Out Of The Depths
Lost! Lost! Lost!
The cry went up from a sea --
The waves were wild with an awful wrath,
Not a light shone down on the lone ship's path;
The clouds hung low:
Lost! Lost! Lost!
Rose wild from the hearts of the tempest-tossed.
Lost! Lost! Lost!
The cry floated over the waves --
Far over the pitiless waves;
It smote on the dark and it rended the clouds;
The billows below them were weaving white shrouds
Out of the foam of the surge,
And the wind-voices chanted a dirge:
Lost! Lost! Lost!
Wailed wilder the lips of the tempest-tossed.
Lost! Lost! Lost!
Not the sign of a hope was nigh,
In the sea, in the air, or the sky;
And the lifted faces were wan and white,
There was nothing without them but storm and night
And nothing within but fear.
But far to a Father's ear:
Lost! Lost! Lost!
Floated the wail of the tempest-tossed.
Lost! Lost! Lost!
Out of the depths of the sea --
Out of the night and the sea;
And the waves and the winds of the storm were hushed,
And the sky with the gleams of the stars was flushed.
Saved! Saved! Saved!
And a calm and a joyous cry
Floated up through the starry sky,
In the dark -- in the storm -- 'Our Father' is nigh.

1 John 2: 8
At the back of her mind...was a man.
Somewhere in the roads she walked before.
Those dark roads of her life-
she paused and turned back.
There was no one there...
darkness covered the path.
Is his shadows hiding over the face of the night?
Or perhaps he was gone as was the light;
I wonder...how she must have felt
that the man she lived for
is now a memory she doesn't want to remember.
Had she wept? I know not.
Perhaps... or perhaps not.
For when I saw her stepping out of darkness,
I saw the smile in her eyes.
I'm certain it was joy that was written on her face
thinking she will never walk those roads again.
I looked away from her brown eyes and said to myself:
I'll never walk those roads again...
The darkness is past, the true light now shineth
and the past is gone.
At the back of my mind there is this MAN -
and I know Him.
I'll walk the roads He walked
for I know in them I'll find my way back home.

Velvet Dark
I heard a song last night
Alone in my car, in the velvet dark
It epitomised my feelings, my reelings
And I began to understand
'I never lost you, you were never mine'
Those words rang true, stung my heart
Driving at one mile per hour
In the velvet dark
I smiled as the lonely tear fell
A wry, upside-down frown
And the music began to painfully soothe
In the velvet dark
You were never, ever mine
To touch, to feel, just a ghost
Of a promise, whom I would never see
In the velvet dark
Lucky those roads were quiet
No crazed drivers forcing me on
And I pulled into a hidden corner
In the velvet dark
Your heart wasn't mine
To try to hold and to repair
You needed me and I needed you
In the velvet dark
We tried to make it
Through impossible barriers
Of dreams and hopes, spinning uncontrollably
In the velvet dark
Picking up my emotions
I pulled back onto that road
Moving towards my home, my sanity
In the velvet dark
I never lost you, I'll never lose you
I'll just remember, the good times
There were a few heady nights together
In the velvet dark
So, this song I will remember
For bringing home to me
The truth, the bitter-sweet memories
Forever in the velvet dark

A simple smile
Everytime you look at me you see nothing but a simple smile
My smile hides all the pain i feel deep inside
My smile is a simple cover up to show people its going to be alright
But when there nobody is around me that smile turns into a frown and my pain comes out
With each day that passes that smile you see changed into so much pain and suffering behind a chamber
As i fall farther into this dark cold world of depression all you see is my simple smile
As i pretend that everything is normal with that simple smile that hides pain so very will
As i cry late at night hopeing nobody can hear my cries
As i simply smile and pretend to be joyfulness and happy my smile hides a deep secret of pain
As i walk by i flashing a smile at everybody as my soul disappear into that cold dark place
As my soul disappears into this dark place of depression and sadness
All my friends and family see a simple smile that lasted forever but only if they knew that deep inside me i was hurting.

New Perspective
dust on my feet on my rubber shoes
stamp a mound of mud drying itself
the afternoon sun so hot
this little boy follows me with his gaze
did I appear so big to his attention
or the world is too small for him to play ball?
we look amazed to the same birds
too playing in the skies chasing the ones
not having the same feathers
the sun sets spreading orange colors
waning and now sprinkles some gray hues
the boys playing basketball sweat like they
were bathing on the rain, their bodies gleaming
like some barbecue on spiced oil
time to go home, it is dark, I have no reason to stay
the little boy follows me towards the road
where the fluorescent light is turned on by the guards
then I look back, the boy was gone
the whole block is lost eaten by this night
and on the island of light on this road
I stand, waiting for my ride back home
then I look back again, I smile a while
that little boy was me, I got lost somehow
I touch my head, I am setting a new perspective

The River Path
No bird-song floated down the hill,
The tangled bank below was still;
No rustle from the birchen stem,
No ripple from the water's hem.
The dusk of twilight round us grew,
We felt the falling of the dew;
For, from us, ere the day was done,
The wooded hills shut out the sun.
But on the river's farther side
We saw the hill-tops glorified,--
A tender glow, exceeding fair,
A dream of day without its glare.
With us the damp, the chill, the gloom
With them the sunset's rosy bloom;
While dark, through willowy vistas seen,
The river rolled in shade between.
From out the darkness where we trod,
We gazed upon those bills of God,
Whose light seemed not of moon or sun.
We spake not, but our thought was one.
We paused, as if from that bright shore
Beckoned our dear ones gone before;
And stilled our beating hearts to hear
The voices lost to mortal ear!
Sudden our pathway turned from night;
The hills swung open to the light;
Through their green gates the sunshine showed,
A long, slant splendor downward flowed.
Down glade and glen and bank it rolled;
It bridged the shaded stream with gold;
And, borne on piers of mist, allied
The shadowy with the sunlit side!
'So,' prayed we, 'when our feet draw near
The river dark, with mortal fear,
'And the night cometh chill with dew,
O Father! let Thy light break through!
'So let the hills of doubt divide,
So bridge with faith the sunless tide!
'So let the eyes that fail on earth
On Thy eternal hills look forth;
'And in Thy beckoning angels know
The dear ones whom we loved below!'

The Point Of View: II
I
In the wood of lost causes, the valley of tears,
Old hopes, like dead leaves, choke the difficult way;
Dark pinions fold dank round the soul, and it hears:
'It is night, it is night, it has never been day;
Thou hast dreamed of the day, of the rose of delight;
It was always dead leaves and the heart of the night.
Drink deep then, and rest, O thou foolish wayfarer,
For night, like a chalice, holds sleep in her hands.'
II
Then you drain the dark cup, and, half-drugged as you lie
In the arms of despair that is masked as delight,
You thrill to the rush of white wings, and you hear:
'It is day, it is day, it has never been night!
Thou hast dreamed of the night and the wood of lost leaves;
It was always noon, June, and red roses in sheaves,
Unlock the blind lids, and behold the light-bearer
Who holds, like a monstrance, the sun in his hands.'

The Light That Is Felt
A tender child of summers three,
Seeking her little bed at night,
Paused on the dark stair timidly.
'Oh, mother! Take my hand,' said she,
'And then the dark will all be light.'
We older children grope our way
From dark behind to dark before;
And only when our hands we lay,
Dear Lord, in Thine, the night is day,
And there is darkness nevermore.
Reach downward to the sunless days
Wherein our guides are blind as we,
And faith is small and hope delays;
Take Thou the hands of prayer we raise,
And let us feel the light of Thee!

Lamia
If science can make
all magic things just trivial
and give explanations to all,
cause the rainbow
to unfold as a prism,
what are the images then
still lying in my unconscious soul?
Does doom and destiny
write their own lines
and are there still mysteries
lying somewhere
at the edges of reason,
lurking and waiting
for the right time, moment
and circumstance to appear
to step from shade
into the clear
and could the “tender-personed Lamia”
again be here?
*
One night I have a dream
that seems real
and it is during
the middle ages
of a well built man
swimming a strong river
sometimes trice a day
to get to his flock
on the other side
where fields of grass
is in a great glen.
He swims back
to chop some wood
in a forest
and his muscles bulge
while he swings the axe.
Sometimes while swimming
he glimpses a long shadow following,
but always at the edge
of his perception
as if something is there
but not daring
to come too near.
Slowly but surely
a house and barn
is taking shape
while his hammer
sounds deep into the night
and he works on
in the moonlight.
Sometimes when at night
he swims the surging river
there is movement
in the transparency
that makes the water
swirl and pull
and he imagines
a snake, crocodile
or water monitor
moving behind him.
He bites on a long knife
to have it ready
if need would be,
but he never is afraid
and one night
something is uncoiling,
as black as his cat
with the same green loving eyes
and spots of dark blue,
crimson, green and violet
and what it is
he cannot grasp.
Something between a snake
and water monitor
studies him for some time
and when he reaches
for the hilt of the knife
a sweet female voice
is like a song
in his head
with eyes expanding
as if reaching in.
A tail brushes against him
almost tenderly
and he comprehends each word
that she is saying
although it is somewhat sibilant.
“I have been watching you
for some time
and know that you
are a good man,
and to me you are
very attractive.”
When he answers
the knife falls from his mouth
gleaming as it goes
to the riverbed.
“You are beautiful
what ever you are,
but surely dangerous.”
He is tired
and swims to the bank
where he takes a grip
on a fallen tree
and the creature
follows him.
He can understand her better
through the hissing:
“I mean you no harm,
but you must trust me.
I have come to love you.”
“But we hardly know
each other and you’re different…”
But she is so close
that he have lost his words
and he doesn’t feel danger
and has compassion for her.
“Kiss me, ” the creature sighs
and thinking that it could hardly
be more dangerous
than being right next to her,
he closes his eyes
and kisses her
on the beak
between the pearly
humanlike teeth.
The storm that was brewing
suddenly brakes loose
and he hears a great lighting bolt
striking nearby.
When he open his eyes
he is looking
at the most beautiful
naked young woman
with long black hair
hanging to her middle
and she has a radiant smile.
