Angel Faces

I.

I SHALL not paint them. God them sees, and I:
No other can, nor need. They have no form,
I may not close with human kisses warm
Their eyes which shine afar or from on high,
But never will shine nearer till I die.
How long, how long! See, I am growing old;
I have quite ceased to note in my hair's fold
The silver threads that there in ambush lie;
Some angel faces bent from heaven would pine
To trace the sharp lines graven upon mine;
What matter? in the wrinkles ploughed by care
Let age tread after, sowing immortal seeds;
All this life's harvest yielded, wheat or weeds,
Is reaped, methinks: at my little field lies bare.

II.

BUT in the night time, 'twixt it and the stars,
The angel faces still come glimmering by;
No death-pale shadow, no averted eye
Marking the inevitable doom that bars
Me from them. Not a cloud their aspect mars;
And my sick spirit walks with them hand in hand
By the cool waters of a pleasant land:
Sings with them o'er again, without its jars,
The psalm of life, that ceased, as one by one
Their voices, dropping off, left mine alone
With dull monotonous wail to grieve the air.
O solitary love, that art so strong,
I think God will have pity on thee erelong,
And take thee where thou'lt find those angel faces fair.

Little Angel

Sooner or later, when the time is right, you know that Ill be waiting here
And Im sure that you will find your way to me
Baby Ill be ready, Ive had so many lonely nights
I want a love that feels so right, and you know Ill be waiting for you
And baby if I could let you know
Its more than a feeling, its what I believe in, and I cant let this go
I need an angel (angel) in my life, little angel (angel) here tonight
I need an angel here by my side
It must be like heaven when you find someone, someone whos really wanting you
And I know there must be one love there for me
I spent a lifetime waiting, and now I feel the time is right
For you to come into my life, you know Ill be ready for you
And baby my love could be so strong
So dont keep me waiting, my hearts nearly breaking
Ive been on my own too long
I need an angel (angel) in my life, little angel (angel) here tonight
I need an angel by my side
Im waitin for an angel (angel) here tonight
Little angel (angel) shine your light, I need an angel by my side
cos I want a perfect lover, and I wont need another
Just wanna show ya, show you what my loving can do
(solo)
Baby if I could let you know
Its more than a feeling, its what I believe in, and I cant let this go
I need an angel (angel) in my life, little angel (angel) here tonight
I need an angel by my side
Im waiting for you (angel) in my life, little angel (angel) shine your light

William Blake

William Bond

I wonder whether the Girls are mad
And I wonder whether they mean to kill
And I wonder if William Bond will die
For assuredly he is very ill

He went to Church in a May morning
Attended by Fairies one two and three
But the Angels Of Providence drove them away
And he returnd home in Misery

He went not out to the Field nor Fold
He went not out to the Village nor Town
But he came home in a black black cloud
And took to his Bed and there lay down

And an Angel of Providence at his Feet
And an Angel of Providence at his Head
And in the midst a Black Black Cloud
And in the midst the Sick Man on his Bed

And on his Right hand was Mary Green
And on his Left hand was his Sister Jane
And their tears fell thro the black black Cloud
To drive away the sick mans pain

O William if thou dost another Love
Dost another Love better than poor Mary
Go and take that other to be thy Wife
And Mary Green shall her Servant be

Yes Mary I do another Love
Another I Love far better than thee
And Another I will have for my Wife
Then what have I to do with thee

For thou art Melancholy Pale
And on thy Head is the cold Moons shine
But she is ruddy and bright as day
And the sun beams dazzle from her eyne

Mary trembled and Mary chilld
And Mary fell down on the right hand floor
That William Bond and his Sister Jane
Scarce could recover Mary more

When Mary woke and found her Laid
On the Right hand of her William dear
On the Right hand of his loved Bed
And saw her William Bond so near

The Fairies that fled from William Bond
Danced around her Shining Head
They danced over the Pillow white
And the Angels of Providence left the Bed

I thought Love livd in the hot sun Shine
But O he lives in the Moony light
I thought to find Love in the heat of day
But sweet Love is the Comforter of Night

Seek Love in the Pity of others Woe
In the gentle relief of anothers care
In the darkness of night and the winters snow
In the naked and outcast Seek Love there

North Wind

LOUD wind, strong wind, sweeping o'er the mountains,
Fresh wind, free wind, blowing from the sea,
Pour forth thy vials like streams from airy fountains,
Draughts of life to me.

Clear wind, cold wind, like a Northern giant,
Stars brightly threading thy cloud-driven hair,
Thrilling the blank night with thy voice defiant,
Lo! I meet thee there.

Wild wind, bold wind, like a strong-armed angel,
Clasp me and kiss me with thy kisses divine;
Breathe in this dulled ear thy secret sweet evangel--
Mine--and only mine.

Fierce wind, mad wind, howling o'er the nations,
Knew'st thou how leapeth my heart as thou goest by:
Ah, thou wouldst pause awhile in a sudden patience
Like a human sigh.

Sharp wind, keen wind, cutting as word-arrows,
Empty thy quiverful! pass by! What is't to thee,
That in some mortal eyes life's whole bright circle narrows,
To one misery?

Loud wind, strong wind, stay thou in the mountains,
Fresh wind, free wind, trouble not the sea.
Or lay thy deathly hand upon my heart's warm fountains,
That I hear not thee.

Angel Eyes

(ferry/mackay)
Angel eyes - am I deceived or did you sigh?
For all I know you let you love light
Shine on me
Angel eyes - you never close, whos got the time?
I can wait until your love light
Shine on me
Angel eyes - seems to me you fill the skies
Im far below so let your love light
Shine on me
Angel eyes - on the wing and open wide
No matter how high the moon
Shine down on me

I am an Angel

i am an angel,
with no wings;
i am an angel,
that has a sad song, but cannot sing.
i am an angel,
that in silience, i cry;
i am an angel,
that tells lies.
i am an angel,
with no halo;
i am an angel,
that lays low.
i am an angel,
that has an extra hand;
i am an angel,
that tries to care for everyone that i can.
i am an angel,
that steals;
i am an angel,
that has a broken heart that never healed.
i am an angel,
with some love to give;
i am an angel,
that sometimes, doesn't want to live.
i am an angel,
that wants to be;
i am an angel,
that wants to leave.
i am an angel,
that has a secret past;
i will always be an angel,
even though i sometimes move fast.

Angel Angel

Angel angel, tell me true-
Is his heart as big and true
As his eyes make me believe?
Angel, angel, tell me please.

Angel, secret friends are rare;
Such kindly faces, liars wear-
But he's a different kind, I think-
Would he stay, if I should blink?

Angel angel, nights are long;
All for him, I'd write my songs;
Angel, whisper in his ear-
Tell him: 'Joy- when you are near.'

My DNA Angel

I love how you know,
When I am always in pain,
I love how you see my DNA flow in me,
You are My DNA Angel too me,

Your eyes they shine,
Such a beautiful Hazel sight,
So bright and pure,
You are My DNA Angel,

Your short brown hair,
Is so soft to touch,
I love your smile,
Of every Angels thoughts,

DNA Angel,
Oh how I sub come to thee,
And oh how I dream,
Of being in your embrace again,

DNA Angel,
My heart beats for you,
When will you see that I was created for you?
My heart belongs to you,

DNA Angel,
You are strong and tall,
My every essence,
Was just made for you to only breathe,

DNA Angel,
So light and pure,
But even though you dress in black,
You'll never hurt a deer,

DNA Angel,
Please come fly too me,
I want you, I need you,
I need my angel's lips to breathe,
You are my DNA Angel! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

You're an Angel

You're an angel that nobody can see,
Still, an angel is what you are to me.
An angel from heaven is what you are,
In my sky you're definitely a heavenly star.

You're an angel with beauty and grace,
You're kind and sweet, you've an angel face.
You have very graceful angel wings.
Happiness, joy, and love are just some things,

That an angel can give, and to me you've given.
In my heart and on my mind, is where you're livin'.
You have hair that is as soft as cotton.
A guardian angel is what I've gotten.

Your eyes are like sapphires that shine bright,
When everything is dark, you give me light.
You're an angel that gives me a reason to live,
You're the angel that teaches me to give.

You're the angel that makes me live another day,
You're the angel that teaches me the right things to say.
You're my angel and you'll always care,
You're my angel and you know I'll always be there.

Come To Me 07

Come to me dark angel, I need thee tonight
Unleash upon me, those merciless hunters eyes.
Come to me dark angel, I crave thee with in
Those hands that tear my heart, and infuse my skin

I beckon thee dark angel, how I taste your lips
That mouth that sears my totality, with a hypnotic tongue and teethy nips
Oh my angel, it is not your light that I seek,
But your darkness your savagery, that drives my aching body

Know me dark angel, as my soul calls to thee
Strangely your depth and demons comfort mine,
As you plunge me into dark desire,
I beckon thee dark angel, I am liquid fire burning for your claim

See me dark angel, as I see thee
Humane though not quite human, pour your fantasies into me
I care not what the dawn brings
I need thee dream angel, tonight be real and only for me

My Soul And I

Stand still, my soul, in the silent dark
I would question thee,
Alone in the shadow drear and stark
With God and me!

What, my soul, was thy errand here?
Was it mirth or ease,
Or heaping up dust from year to year?
'Nay, none of these!'

Speak, soul, aright in His holy sight
Whose eye looks still
And steadily on thee through the night
'To do His will!'

What hast thou done, O soul of mine,
That thou tremblest so?
Hast thou wrought His task, and kept the line
He bade thee go?

Aha! thou tremblest!--well I see
Thou 'rt craven grown.
Is it so hard with God and me
To stand alone?

Summon thy sunshine bravery back,
O wretched sprite!
Let me hear thy voice through this deep and black
Abysmal night.

What hast thou wrought for Right and Truth,
For God and Man,
From the golden hours of bright-eyed youth
To life's mid span?

What, silent all! art sad of cheer?
Art fearful now?
When God seemed far and men were near,
How brave wert thou!

Ah, soul of mine, thy tones I hear,
But weak and low,
Like far sad murmurs on my ear
They come and go.

I have wrestled stoutly with the Wrong,
And borne the Right
From beneath the footfall of the throng
To life and light.

'Wherever Freedom shivered a chain,
God speed, quoth I;
To Error amidst her shouting train
I gave the lie.'

Ah, soul of mine! ah, soul of mine!
Thy deeds are well:
Were they wrought for Truth's sake or for thine?
My soul, pray tell.

'Of all the work my hand hath wrought
Beneath the sky,
Save a place in kindly human thought,
No gain have I.'

Go to, go to! for thy very self
Thy deeds were done
Thou for fame, the miser for pelf,
Your end is one!

And where art thou going, soul of mine?
Canst see the end?
And whither this troubled life of thine
Evermore doth tend?

What daunts thee now? what shakes thee so?
My sad soul say.
'I see a cloud like a curtain low
Hang o'er my way.

'Whither I go I cannot tell
That cloud hangs black,
High as the heaven and deep as hell
Across my track.

'I see its shadow coldly enwrap
The souls before.
Sadly they enter it, step by step,
To return no more.

'They shrink, they shudder, dear God! they kneel
To Thee in prayer.
They shut their eyes on the cloud, but feel
That it still is there.

'In vain they turn from the dread Before
To the Known and Gone;
For while gazing behind them evermore
Their feet glide on.

'Yet, at times, I see upon sweet pale faces
A light begin
To tremble, as if from holy places
And shrines within.

'And at times methinks their cold lips move
With hymn and prayer,
As if somewhat of awe, but more of love
And hope were there.

'I call on the souls who have left the light
To reveal their lot;
I bend mine ear to that wall of night,
And they answer not.

'But I hear around me sighs of pain
And the cry of fear,
And a sound like the slow sad dropping of rain,
Each drop a tear!

'Ah, the cloud is dark, and day by day
I am moving thither
I must pass beneath it on my way--
God pity me!--whither?'

Ah, soul of mine! so brave and wise
In the life-storm loud,
Fronting so calmly all human eyes
In the sunlit crowd!

Now standing apart with God and me
Thou art weakness all,
Gazing vainly after the things to be
Through Death's dread wall.

But never for this, never for this
Was thy being lent;
For the craven's fear is but selfishness,
Like his merriment.

Folly and Fear are sisters twain
One closing her eyes.
The other peopling the dark inane
With spectral lies.

Know well, my soul, God's hand controls
Whate'er thou fearest;
Round Him in calmest music rolls
Whate'er thou Nearest.

What to thee is shadow, to Him is day,
And the end He knoweth,
And not on a blind and aimless way
The spirit goeth.

Man sees no future,--a phantom show
Is alone before him;
Past Time is dead, and the grasses grow,
And flowers bloom o'er him.

Nothing before, nothing behind;
The steps of Faith
Fall on the seeming void, and find
The rock beneath.

The Present, the Present is all thou hast
For thy sure possessing;
Like the patriarch's angel hold it fast
Till it gives its blessing.

Why fear the night? why shrink from Death;
That phantom wan?
There is nothing in heaven or earth beneath
Save God and man.

Peopling the shadows we turn from Him
And from one another;
All is spectral and vague and dim
Save God and our brother!

Like warp and woof all destinies
Are woven fast,
Linked in sympathy like the keys
Of an organ vast.

Pluck one thread, and the web ye mar;
Break but one
Of a thousand keys, and the paining jar
Through all will run.

O restless spirit! wherefore strain
Beyond thy sphere?
Heaven and hell, with their joy and pain,
Are now and here.

Back to thyself is measured well
All thou hast given;
Thy neighbor's wrong is thy present hell,
His bliss, thy heaven.

And in life, in death, in dark and light,
All are in God's care
Sound the black abyss, pierce the deep of night,
And He is there!

All which is real now remaineth,
And fadeth never
The hand which upholds it now sustaineth
The soul forever.

Leaning on Him, make with reverent meekness
His own thy will,
And with strength from Him shall thy utter weakness
Life's task fulfil;

And that cloud itself, which now before thee
Lies dark in view,
Shall with beams of light from the inner glory
Be stricken through.

And like meadow mist through autumn's dawn
Uprolling thin,
Its thickest folds when about thee drawn
Let sunlight in.

Then of what is to be, and of what is done,
Why queriest thou?
The past and the time to be are one,
And both are now!

Kiss Thee Oh Angel

You stand there in but the moonlight,
your eyes shimmering in the night.

The curves of your lips,
so captivating, so enriched.

Your hair a fiery amber,
just flowing through the wind.

Kiss thee oh angel,
grant thee thy wish.

Kiss thee oh angel,
let me charrish your lips.

Kiss thee oh angel,
just one kiss i wish.

Your heavenly smile,
so gentle, so calm.

Your gentle heart,
pounding a melody in my ear.

Your hands of silk,
to brush to my cheek.

Kiss thee oh angel,
grant thee thy wish.

Kiss thee oh angel,
let me charrish your lips.

Kiss thee oh angel,
just one kiss i wish.

Let me hold you oh angel,
and show you my world.

Let me breathe you oh angel,

Let me kiss you oh angel,
and prosper in joy.

Im Your Angel

No mountains too high, for you to climb
All you have to do is have some climbing faith, oh yeah
No rivers too wide, for you to make it across
All you have to do is believe it when you pray
And then you will see, the morning will come
And everyday will be bright as the sun
All of your fears cast them on me
I just want you to see...
Ill be your cloud up in the sky
Ill be your shoulder when you cry
Ill hear your voices when you call me
I am your angel
And when all hope is gone, Im here
No matter how far you are, Im near
It makes no difference who you are
I am your angel
Im your angel
I saw the teardrops, and I heard you cry
All you need is time, seek me and you shall find
You have everything and youre still lonely
It doesnt have to be this way, let me show you a better day
And then you will see, the morning will come
And all of your days will be bright as the sun
So all of your fears, just cast them on me
How can I make you see...
Ill be your cloud up in the sky
Ill be your shoulder when you cry
Ill hear your voices when you call me
I am your angel
And when all hope is gone, Im here
No matter how far you are, Im near
It makes no difference who you are
I am your angel
Im your angel
And when its time to face the storm
Ill be right by your side
Grace will keep up safe and warm
And I know we will survive
And when it seems as if your end is drawing near
Dont you dare give up the fight
Just put your trust beyond the sky...
Ill be your cloud up in the sky
Ill be your shoulder when you cry
Ill hear your voices when you call me
I am your angel
And when all hope is gone, Im here
No matter how far you are, Im near
It makes no difference who you are
I am your angel
Im your angel
Ill be your cloud up in the sky
Ill be your shoulder when you cry
Ill hear your voices when you call me
I am your angel
And when all hope is gone, Im here
No matter how far you are, Im near
It makes no difference who you are
I am your angel
Im your angel

No Longer Snow On Kilimanjaro

I long for thee but whence I have occasion to respire;
Thou art the solitary object, of which I shan't e'er tire;
Rumination of thee shall surely one day be done-
One day after we no longer bask under the warmth of the Sun;
As soon as all the stars can no longer shine,
This is when you shall find love more ardent than mine;
My desire to be ever-nearer to thee shall surely wane-
Just as soon as we dwell in a world without rain;
To be without thee shall no longer be my sorrow,
Upon the Winter's day there is no longer snow on Kilimanjaro!
The hands of time shall surely need cease in their entirety,
Before, upon mine ardor, I may draw even the slightest dubiety;
Upon mine heart, soul, and mine's fidelity, you may depend-
So it was then, so it is now, so it shall be-when time doth end!

Homesick In Heaven

THE DIVINE VOICE
Go seek thine earth-born sisters,--thus the Voice
That all obey,--the sad and silent three;
These only, while the hosts of Heaven rejoice,
Smile never; ask them what their sorrows be;

And when the secret of their griefs they tell,
Look on them with thy mild, half-human eyes;
Say what thou wast on earth; thou knowest well;
So shall they cease from unavailing sighs.

THE ANGEL
Why thus, apart,--the swift-winged herald spake,--
Sit ye with silent lips and unstrung lyres
While the trisagion's blending chords awake
In shouts of joy from all the heavenly choirs?

FIRST SPIRIT
Chide not thy sisters,--thus the answer came;--
Children of earth, our half-weaned nature clings
To earth's fond memories, and her whispered name
Untunes our quivering lips, our saddened strings;

For there we loved, and where we love is home,
Home that our feet may leave, but not our hearts,
Though o'er us shine the jasper-lighted dome:--
The chain may lengthen, but it never parts!

Sometimes a sunlit sphere comes rolling by,
And then we softly whisper,--can it be?
And leaning toward the silvery orb, we try
To hear the music of its murmuring sea;

To catch, perchance, some flashing glimpse of green,
Or breathe some wild-wood fragrance, wafted through
The opening gates of pearl, that fold between
The blinding splendors and the changeless blue.

THE ANGEL
Nay, sister, nay! a single healing leaf
Plucked from the bough of yon twelve-fruited tree
Would soothe such anguish,--deeper stabbing grief
Has pierced thy throbbing heart--

THE FIRST SPIRIT
Ah, woe is me! I from my clinging babe was rudely torn;
His tender lips a loveless bosom pressed;
Can I forget him in my life new born?
Oh that my darling lay upon my breast!

THE ANGEL
And thou?--

THE SECOND SPIRIT
I was a fair and youthful bride,
The kiss of love still burns upon my cheek,
He whom I worshipped, ever at my side,--
Him through the spirit realm in vain I seek.

Sweet faces turn their beaming eyes on mine;
Ah! not in these the wished-for look I read;
Still for that one dear human smile I pine;
_Thou and none other!_--is the lover's creed.

THE ANGEL
And whence thy sadness in a world of bliss
Where never parting comes, nor mourner's tear?
Art thou, too, dreaming of a mortal's kiss
Amid the seraphs of the heavenly sphere?

THE THIRD SPIRIT
Nay, tax not me with passion's wasting fire;
When the swift message set my spirit free,
Blind, helpless, lone, I left my gray-haired sire;
My friends were many, he had none save me.

I left him, orphaned, in the starless night;
Alas, for him no cheerful morning's dawn
I wear the ransomed spirit's robe of white,
Yet still I hear him moaning, _She is gone!_

THE ANGEL
Ye know me not, sweet sisters?--All in vain
Ye seek your lost ones in the shapes they wore;
The flower once opened may not bud again,
The fruit once fallen finds the stem no more.

Child, lover, sire,--yea, all things loved below,--
Fair pictures damasked on a vapor's fold,--
Fade like the roseate flush, the golden glow,
When the bright curtain of the day is rolled.

I was the babe that slumbered on thy breast.
And, sister, mine the lips that called thee bride.
Mine were the silvered locks thy hand caressed,
That faithful hand, my faltering footstep's guide!

Each changing form, frail vesture of decay,
The soul unclad forgets it once hath worn,
Stained with the travel of the weary day,
And shamed with rents from every wayside
thorn.

To lie, an infant, in thy fond embrace,--
To come with love's warm kisses back to thee,--
To show thine eyes thy gray-haired father's face,
Not Heaven itself could grant; this may not be!

Then spread your folded wings, and leave to earth
The dust once breathing ye have mourned so long,
Till Love, new risen, owns his heavenly birth,
And sorrow's discords sweeten into song!

Dancing Under The Pale Moonlight

I want to dance with you under the pale moonlight,
I want to see beyond the dark and embrace the light,
Under the heavens we dance in the darkness of night,

I want to dance with you under the pale moonlight,
I want to take your hand and together we can embrace the stars,
Because with you the world is ours,

I want to take your hand and hold it into mine,
I want to take you into the realm of paradise that lies inside my mind,
Together we dance in a land non relative to the dread of shortened time,
Up in the pale heavens, together in the form of stars forever we’ll shine,

In the darkness of reality I want to make u mine,
So take my hand and close your eyes as we enter the land of sublime,

Take my hand and let’s dance forever and ever,
For happiness in eternity lasts in the most the discrete endeavor,
From the burden of reality take my hand and close your and let the divide sever,
Ease your mind into mine and let’s be free forever.

Take me here
even if you
see my tear.
Up in the sky
where dead people lie.
Lots of hearts
have been torn apart.
Help me angel.
Help me fly
to the sky.
Need to see
the one i lost,
as the past
seems to of
turned to frost.
Man i once knew.
Man i onced loved.
Man i use to
look up to.
I know he is safe.
Angel oh angel,
please fly me away.
Take me up
in the dark
sky at night,
where the stars
shine oh so bright.
I look at the
stars at night,
wishing upon
the star that
shines so bright.
Bring him back!
Back down tonight.
To hold me.
To cuddle me.
To tell me
to do right.
Give me directions
to the good life.
I may even one day
become a mans wife.
Angel oh angel,
I thank you so much
for flying me
to the sky,
where dead people lie.
Angel oh angel
i wave farewell.

The Waning Moon

I've watched too late; the morn is near;
One look at God's broad silent sky!
Oh, hopes and wishes vainly dear,
How in your very strength ye die!

Even while your glow is on the cheek,
And scarce the high pursuit begun,
The heart grows faint, the hand grows weak,
The task of life is left undone.

See where upon the horizon's brim,
Lies the still cloud in gloomy bars;
The waning moon, all pale and dim,
Goes up amid the eternal stars.

Late, in a flood of tender light,
She floated through the ethereal blue,
A softer sun, that shone all night
Upon the gathering beads of dew.

And still thou wanest, pallid moon!
The encroaching shadow grows apace;
Heaven's everlasting watchers soon
Shall see thee blotted from thy place.

Oh, Night's dethroned and crownless queen!
Well may thy sad, expiring ray
Be shed on those whose eyes have seen
Hope's glorious visions fade away.

Shine thou for forms that once were bright,
For sages in the mind's eclipse,
For those whose words were spells of might,
But falter now on stammering lips!

In thy decaying beam there lies
Full many a grave on hill and plain,
Of those who closed their dying eyes
In grief that they had lived in vain.

Another night, and thou among
The spheres of heaven shalt cease to shine,
All rayless in the glittering throng
Whose lustre late was quenched in thine.

Yet soon a new and tender light
From out thy darkened orb shall beam,
And broaden till it shines all night
On glistening dew and glimmering stream.
