A Mahout's Tale
Gazing at a colossal giant standing gracefully tall
The heart rallies to engage a rare humanity's call
To free from a tether a bosom ally, from harrowing chains
For a walk towards freedom, to the vast opens of the forests and plains
My heroic breadwinner as displaced are the boughs and stubs
Yet the sorrowful heart valiantly wallops and clubs
My giant ally my livelihood's knight in shining armor
I've treated with scant respect at the dearth of heart's enamor
I remember the day when I encountered this giant's might
As the villagers fled in flocks in a frenzy of fright
Yet I remained strong against the delicate creature in front
As with a tranquilizer and net, I did encounter a creature to affront
As the days passed the creature metamorphosed to an angel
Like platonic lovers in a fairytale the beast in me with my mystical belle
Belle looks at me with her colossal eye lashes waving in the breeze
As I put on a shirt in creamy white sans a single crease
As dawn welcomes, a walk to where the trees are felled
As we walk to an ominous canyon where humanity is held
To the call of the few who rampage innocence in their natural glory
To uncover a tale that irks the listeners to a fate rampantly gory
As the jungles fall victim to humanity's call
As the jungles are felled to trigger biodiversity's fall
As the jungles are ravaged by rapists with their guards unbuckled and down
The heavens gaze at the unfolding hell with a raging frown
Yet she moves the stubs graciously like a ballet dancer
As the music of her trumpet bamboozles the queuing listener
As stubs are moved from the jungles to the dorsal fins of metallic giants
The lacrimals crumble to shed a river of tears as the heart valiantly pliants
Yet from the corner of this unfolding dessert there is an awakening of sprouts
As there are the conscious driven that battle the betrayers with colossal clouts
Even my savior Belle sometimes, in her defiance, storms to the edge of the wilderness
To rub her trunk against the springing sprouts for a soothing caress
Yet she silently sheds tears, that only those who gaze at her witness
Like a child sans a parent tethered to a cot in her loneliness
No kith or kin, just a master who occasionally sheds silent tears
A poor man's ally partaking a destiny sprinkled with monetary fears
Yet she goes on moving the stubs in to distant-bound piles
As grows the logs in their monster stockpiles
Yet the grief piles in my temple for the cruelty within
How can I enslave a nature's wonder in such a cruel awakening
Yet when I think of my children running back from school
With a toffee in their mouth bathing in juvenile drool
Money matters for the raring of budding human innocence
Even for a master holding the life of a colossal slave in essence
Yet the call of the heart too heavy to ignore
As her trumpeting calls playfully implore
As the monsoons scatter with many a humongous droplet
I walk towards my colosseum to yield her an outlet
I slowly unfasten the chains that bind her, her tether
For freedom to secure, to rejoin a strolling life, outright stellar
To join her group of brothers and sisters walking pass the conservation corridor
The final provision of freedom, for a colossal life gazing at her destiny's door
She marched hastily past towards the jungle meters in front
Then stopped short, as if a giant boulder was there to affront
Gazed back at me even my tots and shed an ocean of tears
She was after all far more human than us, in colossal light years
As the tears unfolded in a story of a slave raging in Stockholm syndrome
There was a trumpeting call from over yonder from where the jungles dome
She opened her ears to the call of the wild, her home not far away
As the tears subsided she walked towards her jungle getaway
As human loose their sense of loyalty to humanity
As our four-legged allies are held in chained captivity
There are stories like this that liberates the burgeoning heart
To earnestly seek justice to those enslaved from cruelty's dark

Remember
Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.

The Pastor
He was a boy next door from the fishing village of Galle
Who answered his tug from heaven like Saul abiding to God's call
A quiet voice peeled away the solemnity of his peace
As the boy transformed in tune to a new life's lease
Then he joined the halls of a budding boys seminary
Yet one eve while going to town (Kohuwala) , he encountered Marie
A dainty lass with a heavenly gait and an eternal smile
As his life metamorphosed from the road less traveled, to a woman's guile
Yet the pull of God was complete and steadfast
Like a giant arm from heaven steering your heart
As the prayers parted his lips with a solemnity unforeseen
A life of prayer and solitude beckoned away from his queen
Then one day as he took his solemn oath
Amidst the white overalls there was a lass who loathed
Her lover's commitment to God, unwavering, even amidst her passion and love
As his lips parted with agreement, to serve the downtrodden with fraternal love
Then as years passed she would finally meet a knight in shining armor
As the heart would yield from the past's hurt to welcome splendorous amor
She would look at the heavens and thank God for the new guy in her life
As she embarked on a future not of a queen but of a content wife
Yet amidst the love she carried for the youth in her path
She could never forget the touch nor the boyish grin of her prince of her past
As the marshmellows roasted above the camping inferno
She would lean next to the youth and whisper 'I want you forever, at hello'
Then the day finally arrived as she parted from her parents
As showers sprung forth, blessings in their monsoon torrents
As two became one, amidst the showers of providence
Love blossomed between two hearts in their unique resonance
Amidst the audience there was a youth in a white robe
Who wiped away the tears that sprung forth
As a collage of their past ran amok his naive psyche
As he was about to lose forever, his most treasured key
The key to his heart that reigned even amidst God's calling
The key that turned his heart to unconditional love's falling
The key to his happiness that loomed large like Nimbus in a monsoon sky
The key that he threw away to answer God's call from the heavenly sky
Then as the ceremony reached its absorbing zenith
There was a heart waiting in a corner, beneath
Wanting so much now, to stand on the elevated alter
As the proceedings transformed from solemnity, to love's falter
Amidst the jubilation of the newly wedded couple
Adam and Eve in marital bliss though in the presence of a priestly apple
As she parted the alter, walking back, holding her beloved's hand
She glanced at her past, a final gaze at her much treasured man
What she saw in her haste, was his eyes parting with tears
Like monsoon from the getaways in a backdropp of fears
Fears beckoned, of solitude, in the absence of her love
Has he lost forever, his beloved treasure trove
Tears from his eyes, transformed to a downpour from her getaways
As she valiantly tried to shroud the tears away
Yet the truth came forth like a storm to a calm sea
As she finally bowed to a reality that she did not foresee
She knew now for certain that the love of her life was the boyish youth
Who strolled casually, years back, to the Kohuwala phone booth
Then as love sparkled in a gaze, like a shooting meteor shower
The boyish pastor smiled amidst the tears of his lover
Yet she was gone now, forever, for an eternity
As he embraced his future sans her serenading amity
The tears dried, as past lovers parted, nothing left to foster
The catastrophe of love, between a goddess and her boyish pastor

Jewels of tears
life has witness, our growth, the pain, the joy, and dream
where what our heart desire, so close to our self, that it
transcent every journey to the unknown of what is beyond
our comprehension
every tears has memories to tell, like a meadows in the
marshes of ashes in the limbo of agony, so painful to
feel, and other are joyous as well, a meaning that tells that
every experiences, is interwoven to every growth of our
body and soul posses
a tears that fall, makes a call, and every tear drops that
show in the cheek, takes a paddle near to the shore,
where success is sure, the tears that has gone is one
ladder to the stairway of heaven where we are always
be ready
the place where everyone wish to be there, each steps
are made of tears that fall, in every pray you call, human
aspiration is heard, when our heart and soul is ready to
receive God's mercy
let our teardrops be dropped, in the ladder of tears,
for in every tears is a step, you step, near to the jewels
of tears, that leads you to eternity, where the heavenly
Father is your destiny

When You Walk Away
So leave if you're leaving
Go if you must go
You won't see me down on my knees
Begging you to come back home
'Coz I refuse to give you the right
To cause these eyes to cry at night
I'm well prepared to live my life without you
When you walk away
You won't walk away with my heart
There will be no tears in the dark
No crying, no dying, no waiting for you to come back
When you're out the door
That don't mean I won't breathe no more
And I will not beg you to stay
When you walk, when you walk, when you walk away,
when you walk away
This heart won't stop beating
'Coz you say goodbye
You won't see me fall all in pieces
Or break all apart inside
And I will lose not one night of sleep
Crying for what couldn't be
I'm well prepared to never think about you
When you walk away
You won't walk away with my heart
There will be no tears in the dark
No crying, no dying, no praying for you to come back
When you're out the door
That don't mean I won't breathe no more
And I will not beg you to stay
When you walk, when you walk, when you walk away
'Coz I refuse to give you the right
To cause these eyes to cry at night
I'm well prepared to live my life without you, without you
When you walk away
You won't walk away with my heart
There will be no tears in the dark
No crying, no dying, no begging
When you're out the door
That don't mean I won't breathe no more
And I will not beg you to stay
When you walk, when you walk, when you walk away
You won't walk away with my heart
There will be no tears in the dark
No crying, no dying, no begging for you to come back-acapo

Irish Peasant Song
I try to knead and spin, but my life is low the while.
Oh, I long to be alone, and walk abroad a mile;
Yet if I walk alone, and think of naught at all,
Why from me that's young should the wild tears fall?
The shower-sodden earth, the earth-colored streams,
They breathe on me awake, and moan to me in dreams,
And yonder ivy fondling the broke castle-wall,
It pulls upon my heart till the wild tears fall.
The cabin-door looks down a furze-lighted hill,
And far as Leighlin Cross the fields are green and still;
But once I hear the blackbird in Leighlin hedges call,
The foolishness is on me, and the wild tears fall!

The freedom cry
She used to live a happy life,
until a strange hand came and took her away.
She used to be free like the birds in the sky,
until one day, her freedom was set ablaze.
She used to feel the joy of life,
but now life feels like a plague.
She was taken far away,
very very far away
away from her her motherland
into a foriegn land to be a slave.
Now, her smiles have fade,
her joy misplaced.
Her cheerful heart is filled with tears,
for she is still very little in years.
Now, life seems meaningless
in hurts, life felt like hell.
She cry all day, even with no cloth to where
but there is none to wipe her tears.
She is no more treated with respect,
for her rulling days were ended.
Behold! See how the mighty have fallen,
the daughter of the great king is forgottten.
Not even her father's wealth could bring her back,
for she is nowhere to be found in the stranger's land.
Her hope faded, her fate lost
her joy ended, her heart void.
Her sorrowful days seems endless,
her dark days seems timeless.
Until one day her freedom cry was heard,
by that lovely stranger with so much beard
who had come from a beautiful city afar,
behold! He is the king's right hand.
Tears of joy rolled down her face,
smile on joy was once again seen on her eyes.
Behold! Back are the happy days,
for she's been saved by the freedom cry.

Mama's cry
child, please dont cry when we fail 2 try.
Child, smile with me even when a mile we walk through troubles.
Child, brace me with your love and forever you live by his grace.
Child, i know not of tomorrow but walk with me.
Walk me with and lets make this talk a reality,
a vision seen by the mind and a mission won win the heart.
Your tears, your fears when we crawl-
despair not and walk with me.
Mama! The call of every son and daughter of man.
Every dawn and dusk,
a picture of uncertainity draws on the child's faces.
In my own motherland, their stomach shed hopeless tears of hunger.
They crave for what many put to waste as their tongues fail to taste and they retire to their graves.
Child, just walk with me.

Peaceful Beginnings
Peaceful Beginnings
On an island, in a big ocean, generals walk about
think they have killed a dream and call sullen
silence peace. The crushed will go on dreaming
till they get what they want, maybe by then their
vision has become a suffocating dream.
Nearer home, in the Middle East, the mighty are
trying to kill a dream by bulldozing it, they too
had a vision and should know that dreams cannot
be eradicated. Now they want power, and call it
peace; but there are those who call it a nightmare.
Of course in the immeasurable future there will
be colossal amounts of peace, the sun will cross
the heavens and the world will heal in silence; till,
on the strand of pure sand, sky and sea may give
birth to a living creature and a scream is heard.

Rendition of the Soul
wish to be right, though not perfect, the aim
high lead to low, what more i can do, but
to do the right direction my Mama and Papa
want me so
all my life lives in my sweet Daddy and
Mommy my sister my brother gives me all
what i say, they never told me not to cry, until
i remember the story of the falling angel who
once to be happy
days and night, my heart wonder, why people
want to be free and at the end of that day, tears
fall to the ground of no where to be found in
their heart so sad, even ready to be fire ring
squad, in front of the one they love
like a thirst of the hand that never drunk and
in the eyes that can't see; bring me then back
the old hand that call, thy bosom arm my heart
is so cool, let me ask some pity in the tears that
flows, taste it seems its empty, for thy soul
wanted to see, the bastion of the One whom
comes with the heart that hold in the soul that
folds
here i am, open my lonely heart, and hear the
rendition of my soul....all comes in you Lord,
promise that I may fall in your mercy
i am full......

Brocking
i've been searching for sometime
i've been looking for more
been looking for you
but when you come in my life
you just took a flight
leaving me all brocking
my heart is brocking
when you dont call me back
my heart is brocking
when i realize the truth
all the lies you told me
my heart is brocking
my heart is brocking
after everything we been through
all the tears we shed
you can just walk away
like if i meant noting
after everything i stuck through
just to see it through
just to be with you
you can be so crule
my heart is brocking
when you dont call me back
my heart is brocking
when i realize the truth
all the lies you told me
my heart is brocking
my heart is brocking
now i here all alone
trying to reach you on the phone
hoping, beleiving i can still get you
just got to figure it out
why you up, left and out
my heart is brocking
when you dont call me back
my heart is brocking
when i realize the truth
all the lies you told me
my heart is brocking
my heart is brocking

Scriptures
the only scriptures
i want to read,
are the life stories
of the oppressed and downtrodden.
the only prayers
i know to be real,
are their unspoken needs,
their desire to be free.
the only church
that i belong to,
their homes, their shelters,
their grimy neighborhoods.
the only image of god
that i want to see,
the humanity in their faces,
the injustices falling in their tears.
and equality,
the only walk...
the path, the destiny,
of the human heart!

Enemy In The Mirror
He sat down and tried to analyse his status in retrospect.
One thought giggled through his brains and found no reason to act.
He thought of the gossip behind his prance and concluded for a further check.
His colossal heart now wondering of this hefty hitch.
He always frighted about the move of his fellows
. An undoubted prig and with no act of altruism.
Then came a juncture in which his admirations could be reached.
He dazzled around the province and unravelled his sudden call to honour.
The wise men considered his call to be a fiasco.
His outrageous pose before the dialogue said it all.
He reached the premises and with no act of fluster, he encroached the hall.
The delegation asked matters of human-spaced interest and his response was negative because he had no passionate appeal for humanity.
He retrogressed gradually and stigmatized cos he was a foe to their progress.
An altruist confronted him and said ' You're the enemy in the mirror because you seek your own downfall '

I am chained
I am slave and chained
My hands are tightened
Mouth is sealed and eyes blinded
World has seen it but never minded
Since years I am under occupation
Children and their mothers suffer sans relation
Looses daily one soul forever
Still world has no time to care ever
Any time the artificial line is drawn
Curfew is imposed and shutters are down
Siren raids are on and life is shattered
Life is turning from bad to worst and remains scattered
Is this the price my kids may have to pay?
The world may silently watch and have nothing to say?
Alright I shall bleed some more
Let them see me in tears furthermore
How can youth control their rage?
When no peace in sight and house is on ablaze
How many more of them you want to die?
Humanity doesn't want to offer even single try?
How long will you witness my body to collapse?
Cry under pillow and shed the tears?
Blood soaked bodies to be seen all over and no one to see?
Can we call whole world as democratic and free?
No one has observed a single fast when I was raped?
Took out cloths daily and still people have clapped
How would you tolerate such happenings in your own home?
When some one enters by force and remains as unwelcome
You may all open eyes and see the reality
Daily new born die for the poor facilities
I cry silently from the world and cover the face
Would you mind entire race is wiped out from earth's surface?

Conquered Me
i climbed your highest mountains,
waded your raging rivers.
went stomping with elephants
through you darkest jungles.
stood between you and the gun!
walked barefoot in your snows,
sat imprisoned in your cell.
made the leap, and dared to fly,
wiped the tears from your face.
built a home for your heart,
with human hands and sweat....
bandaged your wounds,
took your curse...
how is it then...
that love conquered me?

The last hope
Equality brutalized insanely,
Humanity is at the edge of disparity,
Unsung battle at the verge,
As if decoying mist in heed of clarity,
Comatose failures died insane,
Synchronizing colossal tears in smile,
Still a hope revives from death
deeming a lame to be agile.
Humanely existence bleeds treachery
Dissecting emotion in name of parity,
I am weary of this combat
Thy soul, free me from self inveracity.
A master slash harmony,
Skirmishing against irrational style,
Lost in aiding disgrace,
Yet practicing it to gain the pride
Tantalizing death annoying life,
Misunderstood phoenix as craven,
Yet standing tall with pride,
As if renewed hell into heaven
Who will revive the phoenix,
The battle of battle is on,
Death has quenched life,
The only beam is also gone.

Don't You (Forget About Me)
Hey, hey, hey ,hey
Watching ooh... yeah
Won't you come see about me?
I'll be alone, dancing and you know it baby
Tell me your troubles and doubts
Giving me everything inside and out, out
Love's strange so real in the dark
Think of the tender things that we were working on
Slow change may pull us apart
I'll get us back together at heart, baby
Don't You Forget About Me
Don't Don't Don't Don't
Don't You Forget About Me
Will you stand above me?
Look my way and never love me
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down, down
Would you recognise me?
Call my name or walk on by
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down, down
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Watching ooh..... yeah
Don't you try and pretend
It's my feeling we'll win in the end
I won't harm you or touch your defenses
Vanity and security
Don't you forget about me
I'll be alone, dancing and you know it baby
Going to take you apart
I'll put us back together at heart, baby
Don't You Forget About Me
Don't Don't Don't Don't
Don't You Forget About Me
As you walk on by
Will you call my name?
As you walk on by
Will you call my name?
As you walk on by
(As you walk on by)
Or will you walk on by?
Will you walk away?
Come on - call my name
Come on - call my name
Will you call my name?
I say
La la la...
Will you walk on by?
Would you call my name?
As you walk on by
Would you call my name?
When you walk on by?
Oh yeah
Come on and call my name
As you walk on by
Hey baby call my name!
When you walk on by
Would you call my name
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah....

Slept Mind
I free the minds of those who sleep
In a trance for all time, the very weep.
Weeping tears are falling on the horizon
Affecting my train of thought like magic gold.
The seeing of the ocean is an event
On the day we stood still, in emptiness.
What is creation of civilisation in the sea?
Is it love of a monster or the sea?
Love is the sea as we are colossal
And loving the trees of the ocean is pleasant.
The monster within created itself,
But the sea is a monster created by tears.

Tears In Your Life
Tears in your life
Nothing but tears in your life
They come to you in the night
Tears in your life
Softly they call
Gathering slowly they fall
You see those tears and theyre all
Tears in your life
(tears in your life)
(tears in your life)
(tears in your life)
(tears in your life)
Tears in your life
Nothing but tears in your life
Heartbroken fools paradise
Tears in your life

Call The Man
Close the door
Shut the world away
All the fight's gone from this wounded heart
Across the floor
Dreams and shadows play
Like wind blown refugees
Call the man
Who deals in love beyond repair
He can heal the world
Of hearts in need of care
Shine a light ahead
When the next step is unclear
Call the man
He's needed here
I close my eyes
I remember when
Your sweet love filled this empty room
The tears I cry
Won't bring it back again
Unless the lonely star should fall
Call the man
Who deals in love beyond repair
He can heal the world
Of hearts in need of care
Shine a light ahead
When the next step is unclear
Call the man
He's needed here
Needed in the chaos and confusion
From the plains to city hall
Needed where the proud who walk the wire are set to fall
Call the man
Who deals in once upon a time
Maybe he
Can mend this broken heart of mine
Shine a light ahead
Now the future isn't clear
Call the man
He's needed here
Call the man
He's needed here
He's needed here
He's needed here
Call the man
He's needed here
Right here right now

Your Cheatin Heart
Your cheatin' heart
Will make you weak
Your cryin' crimes
Try to sleep
But sleep won't come
The whole night through
Your cheatin' heart
Will tell on you
When tears come down
Like fallin' rain
You'll toss around
And call my name
You'll walk the floor
The way I do
Your cheatin' heart
Will tell on you
Your cheatin' heart
Will pain some day
And crave the love
You threw away
The time will come
When you'll be blue
But your cheatin' heart
Will tell on you
When tears come down
Like fallin' rain
You'll toss around
And call my name
You're gonna walk the floor
The way I do
Your cheatin' heart
Will tell on you
Your cheatin' heart
Is gonna tell on you
