Creation Of The Fragile Human

The modern world is a perilous place,
Wherever we look there is danger to face.
We attend safety meetings, wear fluorescent clothes,
We stand out like beacons and frighten the crows.
We can't climb up ladders if they are too high,
For we are so fragile we may fall and die.
And children are treated like they're prone to break,
Their playgrounds are gutted for their safety's sake.
The monkey bars, swings, and the wooden seesaw,
We're told are as deadly as weapons of war,
While danger is lurking just over the hill,
A pervert or psycho just waiting to kill.
And on the TV we are constantly told,
No chances to take, if we wish to grow old.
In flood times we're warned to keep clear of the drains
As if we are babies without any brains.
Parades of do-gooders preach on the TV,
About all the dangers they everywhere see.
So suddenly new safety laws are enacted
And lost liberty is the price that's exacted.
These measures, we're told, are to stop litigation,
A disease that was once very rare in our nation,
But, if this is true, and if this is the cause,
Would surely be better to limit the laws;
Put brakes on the lawyers, (my - how they would curse) ,
Stop ambulance chasers who fatten their purse.
But most politicians, you see, practice law,
So tend, in this argument, to see a flaw.
But how much of this nanny state can we take,
Before those who still have a brain start to wake
Up to the fact that this stuff is designed,
To deaden your spirit and weaken your mind.
With clever persuasion and media compliance
They'll gradually, wear down, your own self reliance,
Until you become but a dependant drone,
‘Til even your soul - even that will they own.

To Our Destination

They wear a direction for their utmost pleasure,
The direction is either north or south,
Not west or east, like the compass shows,
The directions are clearly seen with balanced vision.
They must reach their destination with safety,
Licking its food, fulfilling the commands
And realising less danger, for danger is clearly erected.
The north is where food is, the south is an opposite direction,
We wear a proper bracelet, golden and silver and diamond,
These are the jewels of the adventurer,
One to take on the rivers and mountains is the ruby.
So pleasurable is the journey we have designed,
Mapping the way home with zeal.

Danger On The Track

I was heading for the mountains
I had saved so much for you
And in the town I left behind me
There was nothing left to do.
I knew that you were waiting
For me to share your life
Cause I told you when I left, that
When I come back youll be my wife.
But someone was waiting
In the shadows of the night
Someone was waiting
It just didnt feel right.
Danger on the track
Something told me there were
Strangers on my back
And I was so right.
Maybe I should surrender
Maybe I should give it up
But the strength I had inside
Told me you can never stop.
The men wanted to break me
Steal and bring me down
But I fought for you and later
They were lying on the ground.

Edmund Burke

Liberty, if I understand it at all, is a general principle, and the clear right of all the subjects within the realm, or of none. Partial freedom seems to me a most invidious mode of slavery. But, unfortunately, it is the kind of slavery the most easily admitted in times of civil discord; for parties are but too apt to forget their own future safety in their desire of sacrificing their enemies. People without much difficulty admit the entrance of that injustice of which they are not to be the immediate victims … great determined measures are not commonly so dangerous to freedom. They are marked with too strong lines to slide into use. … But the true danger is, when liberty is nibbled away, for expedients, and by parts.

Don't Leave Home

Like a ghost dont need a key
Your best friend I've come to be
Please don't think of getting up for me
You don't even need to speak
When I've been here for just one day
You'll already miss me if I go away
So close the blinds and shut the door
You won't need other friends anymore
Oh don't leave home, oh don't leave home
If you're cold I'll keep you warm
And If you're lost just hold on
Cause I will be your safety
Oh don't leave home
I arrived when you were weak
I'll make you weaker, like a child
Now all your love you give to me
When your heart is all I need
Oh don't leave home, oh don't leave home
If you're cold I'll keep you warm
And If you're lost just hold on
Cause I will be your safety
Oh don't leave home
Oh how quiet, quiet the world can be
When it's just you and little me
Everything is clear and everything is new
So you won't be leaving will you
If you're cold I'll keep you warm
And If you're lost just hold on
Cause I will be your safety
Oh don't leave home
Cause I will be your safety
I will be your safety
I will be your safety
Oh don't leave home

Ruby Red

Ive got a ruby red desire
Like a virus like my last hope
Ive got a ruby red desire
Ive got to hear the red bird sing
Ive got to rip this cord
And rinse this lazy blood
Clear a path and walk away
Ive been waiting for the sky to fall
Ive been worried I could lose it all
Ive been waiting for the safety net
Tell myself that Im not ready yet
And every memorys a dream
And each uncertainty reminds me why
I saw a kid outside playing by a moongate
Making paper things that fly
Ive been waiting for the sky to fall
Ive been worried I could lose it all
Ive been waiting for the safety net
Tell myself that [m not ready yet
I want to live ...
Ive been waiting for the sky to fall
Ive been worried I could lose it all

Isn't That The Way

I've got feeling inside me
I'm not letting you know
I can't stop the wastin' of the world
Wastin' all the days and minutes hours slip away
I can't stop the ways in which you plan
To leave our past behind
I know they've changed your mind
Isn't that the way someone told you
Isn't that the way someone cared
Isn't that the way someone told you
Isn't that the way someone cared
I can't stop the rest of me
From not letting you know
I'm not here to preach to you what I had
Faking all the feelings that I started letting grow
I can't stop the ways in which you plan
To leave our past behind
Tomorrow's left my mind
Bridge:
I can't stop the way in which you plan
To do it all, leave it all behind
Tomorrow's left my mind
Isn't that the way someone told you
Isn't that the way someone cared
Isn't that the way someone told you
Isn't that the way someone cared

My soldier! ! !

You were my soldier
My safety net
You were my soul, my life, my everything
Why did this happen to you?
Everything was so perfect then the nightmare began

I guess you never realise, how much you love someone,
Until they're gone and they've faded away....

You were my soldier
My safety net
You were my soul, my life, my everything
Why did this happen to you?
Everything was so perfect then the nightmare began

And he's in the road
A car
The Brakes
A scream
And he's in the road
A car
The brakes
A scream
Runnning out to him, but he's already gone
And now I've lost him

You were my soldier
My safety net
You were my soul, my life, my everything
Why did this happen to you?
Everything was so perfect then the nightmare began

My soldier's lost the battle
I knew we were meant to be
I thought we'd be together, forever
But now It's just me.....

You were my soldier
My safety net
You were my soul, my life, my everything
Why did this happen to you?
Everything was so perfect then the nightmare began

I Told You So About President Barack Obama

I told you so about our current President.
He is a very special man, a man of hope
Who can walk shoulder to shoulder with any Pope.
The dictators should take note. The tyrants
Should rethink their strategies. The infamous ants
Should choose the right paths: Be tolerant,
Be democratic, be fair and just; that’s the way to go.
I told you so, I told you so.

We all want the world to be a better place,
We want Peace,
We want Justice,
We want to curtail global warming,
We want better days,
We want happier days,
We want the whole humanity
To enjoy much better living
Conditions,
We want to see ACTIONS,
We want liberty,
Freedom, no more hunger,
No more human slaughter,
No more nuclear weapons,
No more deadly harpoons,
No more suffering, no more slavery,
No more racism, no more discrimination,
No more false arrests, no more false accusations,
And no more arbitrary executions.
We all want our world to be a better place,
We want Peace,
We want Justice…

I told you so, I told you so,
And his Nobel Peace Prize
Has sealed his place in history.
Even Rush should rush to stop the lies;
Hence, this is the way to go.
He is a man of Peace and the whole humanity
Should give him a chance,
Give him more credence,
And Hope is always better than ignorance.
I told you so, I told you so…

Safety Dance

Ssss-aaaa-ffff-eeee-tttt-yyyy
Safety-dance!
Ah we can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends dont dance and if they dont dance
Well theyre are no friends of mine
I say, we can go where we want to, a place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind,
And we can dance
We can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends dont dance and if they dont dance
Well theyre are no friends of mine
I say, we can go where we want to a place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind
And we can dance.
Dancez!
Ah we can go when we want to the night is young and so am i
And we can dress real neat from our hats to our feet
And surprise em with the victory cry
I say we can act if want to if we dont nobody will
And you can act real rude and totally removed
And I can act like an imbecile
I say we can dance, we can dance everything out control
We can dance, we can dance were doing it wall to wall
We can dance, we can dance everybody look at your hands
We can dance, we can dance everybody takin the chance
Safety dance

We can dance if we want to, weve got all your life and mine
As long as we abuse it, never gonna lose it

My Own Kind Of Hat

Cowboys and outlaws, right guys and south-paws
Good dogs and all kinds of cats.
Dirt roads and white lined, and all kinds of stop signs
Ill stand right here where Im at
cause I wear my own kind of hat.
Theres two kinds of lovers, two kinds of brothers
Two kinds of babies to hold.
Theres two kinds of cherries, two kinds of fairies
Two kinds of mothers Im told...............Im told
Cowboys and outlaws, right guys and south-paws
Good dogs and all kinds of cats.
Dirt roads and white lines and all kinds of stop signs

Are They Children Of A Lesser GOD?

the children of this country should be happy as can be
for they do not have to live in such poverty.
most at least have clothes on their backs
a bed in which to sleep, and food
even if it's only once a day.
and they're taught how to pray.

we are much better off than other countries
around the world.
but try to tell that to the hungry boy or girl.

we are a nation from all walks of life
and have fought so that freedom can ring
and to our national anthem sing.

our children dream of things that they could be
because in this land, dreams can come true.
so let us now see what we can do
to help our brothers' me and you'.

the other child dreams of a warm bed
and a roof over their head.
a bath to wash off the dirt of the day away
a family member with whom they could stay.

clean clothes, clean socks, something which
they have not got.
food set on a table, and someone to help
them if their not able.
to be able to go to school, and learn the golden rule.
to be able to play in the streets
instead of digging in cans for something to eat.

to be able to see a doctor when they're not well
instead of being 'sent to hell'.
to be able to see love in an adults face
and not have to hide in fear and disgrace.

because they were abused by someone who did
not care, whether they lived or died.
and always told the same old lies.

are they children of a lessr GOD?

no! ! for GOD gave us all those rights
and we as adults have to stand up and fight.

stop the abuse in third world nations
let them see GODS creations.
stop the wars, stop the abuse
put the drugs we've got, to good use.
help the elderly, the young, the lame
for we are all the same.

we must practise what we preach it is
the only way that we could reach
all the children who were given to us from above
if they're shown kindness and love.

we won't be here to help them grow
so let's help them today
that much i know.

they are our future, can't you see
for tomorrow we'll be history.

Social Security

No one is safe. The streets are unsafe.
even in the safety zones, it's not safe.
Even safe sex is not safe.
Even things you lock in a safe
are not safe. Never deposit anything
in a safety deposit box, because it
won't be safe there. Nobody is safe
at home during baseball games anymore.

At night I go around in the dark
locking everything, returning
a few minutes later
to make sure I locked
everything. It's not safe here.
It's not safe and they know it.
People get hurt using safety pins.

It was not always this way.
Long ago, everyone felt safe. Aristotle
never felt danger. Herodotus felt danger
only when Xerxes was around. Young women
were afraid of wingéd dragons, but felt
relaxed otherwise. Timotheus, however,
was terrified of storms until he played
one on the flute. After that, everyone
was more afraid of him than of the violent
west wind, which was fine with Timotheus.
Euclid, full of music himself, believed only
that there was safety in numbers.

Bipolar Syndrome

You told me to fly
But you break the wings
Do you want me to fall
So that you can win

You told me to smile
But you raise the fear
Do you want me to lie
To hide all those tears

You told me to let
But you bring back again
Don't you want me forget
Those desperate games

You told me to change
But you keep calling my name
Don't you want me ruin
The peace I finally gain

You told me be strong
But you dropp me sorrow
Do you want me be drown
Never see tomorrow

You told me be brave
But you seem not to care
Do you want me be flare
So you can not stop to stare

You told me be the best
But you never understand
Do you want me restrain
To do what I desire

You told me to dream
But you crush my hope
Do you want me be bound
By your beautiful lies

A Parent's Lament

'How many times have I told you,
Behave, and just do as you're told?
Stop messing about in that bedroom,
Come on now your tea will be cold.'

'If you will act the fool at the table
I'll take your meal off you you know;
And make sure your shoes are not dirty
If right through the house you must go.'

'If you're off out to play now just listen:
Don't go where you're told not to go,
And make sure you're back when I've told you,
No later than quarter to four.'

'How many times have I asked you
To pick up your clothes off the floor?
I'm warning you now it's the last time,
For goodness sake PLEASE close that door.'

'If I have to come up there you're for it,
I mean it, I'll say it no more;
Turn down that noise from your radio,
It's too loud... Oh PLEASE keep it low.'

'Look I know that I'm always complaining,
I know that I'm sometimes a bore,
And though you are driving me bonkers,
I really do love you you know.'

Solidarity

Still waiting in the playgrounds,
To settle scores.
With tit for tat paybacks.
Within them harbored and stored.

Still standing near the swings,
Or the monkey bars with pails of sand.
Hoping for a foe to show,
To continue an aging.
And quite old argument.

As their children 'and' grandchildren,
Stagger by high.
On alcohol or weed,
Maybe both.
Who knows but the adored,
Pusher of quick solutions to solve.

Unified with the same needs,
To ensure they keep the image.
Of their unified solidarity objectively alive.
And
Without a doubt,
Kept down to Earth.

What Indignity?

We need politicians, who are willing to vote for change,
We may already have them if we can convince them to rearrange,
Death with dignity so that we can all die on time and in peace,
And not some frightful terrible painful horrible disease.

Sorry to wake you up with a slight touch of reality and fear,
But they have it in Oregon and Washington but not here,
If we could get our politicians to wake up and pay attention,
Instead of party bound to their own agenda and extension.

Media moguls and High Court judges seem to be holding hands,
About certain subjects not tolerated and completely banned,
That’s binding referendums and peaceful death with dignity,
You don’t know and are never told about this indignity.
