On the Mystery of the Incarnation
It's when we face for a moment
the worst our kind can do, and shudder to know
the taint in our own selves, that awe
cracks the mind's shell and enters the heart:
not to a flower, not to a dolphin,
to no innocent form
but to this creature vainly sure
it and no other is god-like, God
(out of compassion for our ugly
failure to evolve) entrusts,
as guest, as brother,
the Word.

In A Vale
When I was young, we dwelt in a vale
By a misty fen that rang all night,
And thus it was the maidens pale
I knew so well, whose garments trail
Across the reeds to a window light.
The fen had every kind of bloom,
And for every kind there was a face,
And a voice that has sounded in my room
Across the sill from the outer gloom.
Each came singly unto her place,
But all came every night with the mist;
And often they brought so much to say
Of things of moment to which, they wist,
One so lonely was fain to list,
That the stars were almost faded away
Before the last went, heavy with dew,
Back to the place from which she came-
Where the bird was before it flew,
Where the flower was before it grew,
Where bird and flower were one and the same.
And thus it is I know so well
Why the flower has odor, the bird has song.
You have only to ask me, and I can tell.
No, not vainly there did I dwell,
Nor vainly listen all the night long.

Laughter and Compassion
Laughter and Compassion
Goes hand in hand
Are good medicine for the heart and mind
Not a direct problem solver but reduces stress
For I laughed at one's interpretation of POS
Of another's sarcasm
A cuddling party feels good
Laughter and Compassion
How I laughed and laughed
The laughter relaxed my body
The compassion rested my mind
Follows understanding
Without judgment
My shell broke free
Laughter and Compassion
To have compassion is to be human
During times of despair needed most
A hug
A kind act
Simple gestures
A smile
For a lack of compassion is a pity
Effects the emotional bearing environment
The pleasure of laughter
As without laughter, life is mundane
The human empathy of compassion
As without compassion, one is heartless
Catalysts for deeper problem
Are revelations
Dolphin
How beautiful do the words have 2 be
Before they conquer every heart?
How will u know if Im even in the right key
If u make me stop before I start?
Chorus:
If I came back as a dolphin
Would u listen 2 me then?
Would u let me be your friend?
Would u let me in?
U can cut off all my fins
But 2 your ways I will not bend
Ill die before I let u tell me how 2 swim
And Ill come back again as a dolphin
Why does my brother have 2 go hungry
When u told him there was food 4 all?
This is the man that stands next 2 the man
That stands 2 catch u when u fall (oh!)
Chorus
If Im under water, will u find me? (find me {x4})
Will u shine a light and try 2 guide me?
Its happened before, Ive knocked on your door
But u wouldnt let me in
How beautiful do the words have 2 be
Before they conquer every heart? (oh!)
If I came back as a dolphin
Would u listen 2 me then?
Would u let me be your friend?
Would u let me in?
U can cut off all my fins
But 2 your ways I will not bend
Ill die before I let u tell me how 2 swim
Come back in the end as a dolphin (oh)
(Ill come back, baby)
(let me in, let me in) as a dolphin
(be my friend) dolphin
(yeah, yeah)

Planet Dearth
‘No other life form on the planet
knows negativity, but human ‘kind’..
No other life form on the planet
violates and poisons the Earth
that sustains it, but the human ‘race’..’
oh look, how unhappy that flower is!
how can we cheer it up?
and that oak tree – how stressed it looks!
how shall we help it to unwind?
out there, look, that dolphin
looks really depressed, I wonder
what we can do to raise its spirits?
and that frog – it seems to have
a problem with its self-esteem..
and no princesses handy…
pussy just can’t relax, doctor,
could you prescribe a pill, or
perhaps refer us to a pussychiatrist?
and how that tweetie-pie birdie
carries visible hatred and resentment
like a cage upon its back…
(was it watching Tom and Jerry yesterday..?)
the only animals that show anything of
these signs of neurotic behaviour
are, yes, those who live
close to human kind…
which animal do you take
for your teacher in the art
of living only in the present moment?

Thank You, With Love
Thanks is a word
So small and worn
On little smiles
It does adorn
A feeling and love
And compassion
And joy
And so today
I will employ
This innocent word
To be written to you
It may hit your ears
While passing through
I’ll send my love
In a form of a prayer
For thanks is, after all
A heartfelt affair.

The ugly human face
Wailing with tears and
Helplessly in commotion,
All of you’re telling to write
The history of hatred, enmity, killings,
The history of human ugly face.
My pen is dried up,
Tell me in which medium,
And language should I write.
Where to begin and
Where to end
Such history of human ugly face.
Oh! Betrayer
You’re telling me to wipe out from the history
Of such human ugly face,
That shattered and shook human conscience,
That haunts the face of those innocent people,
Killed and hurt; widows and orphans.
That hums: that reminds.
Telling me just to close my eyes.
But I’m not blind.
Telling me not to speak,
But I’m not dumb.
Telling me not to write the truth,
But I cannot write anything but the truth.
How can I deceive the history where I belong?
Human memory is short,
Tears would dry up,
The blood would be washed away with time
But the silent words, written in the heart of each human ugly face
Imbedded forever and immortal.
Let me dip the pen in the smeared blood,
The blood of all religions, caste, creed and colour, poor and rich,
The thick blood of those innocent persons.

On The Burial Of His Brother
BY ways remote and distant waters sped,
Brother, to thy sad graveside am I come,
That I may give the last gifts to the dead,
And vainly parley with thine ashes dumb;
Since She who now bestows and denies
Hath ta'en thee, hapless brother from mine eyes.
But lo! these gifts, the heirlooms of past years,
Are made sad things to grace thy coffin-shell;
Take them, all drenchèd with a brother's tears,
And, brother, for all time, hail and farewell.

Narcissus
Encircled by her arms as by a shell,
she hears her being murmur,
while forever he endures
the outrage of his too pure image...
Wistfully following their example,
nature re-enters herself;
contemplating its own sap, the flower
becomes too soft, and the boulder hardens...
It's the return of all desire that enters
toward all life embracing itself from afar...
Where does it fall? Under the dwindling
surface, does it hope to renew a center?

When He Himself Reveals Himself
When he himself reveals himself,
Brahma brings into manifestation
That which can never be seen.
As the seed is in the plant,
as the shade is in the tree,
as the void is in the sky,
as infinite forms are in the void-
So from beyond the Infinite,
the Infinite comes;
and from the Infinite the finite extends.
The creature is in Brahma,
and Brahma is in the creature:
they are ever distinct,
yet ever united.
He Himself is the tree, the seed, and the germ.
He Himself is the flower, the fruit, and the shade.
He Himself is the sun, the light, and the lighted.
He Himself is Brahma, creature, and Maya.
He Himself is the manifold form, the infinite space;
He is the breath, the word, and the meaning.
He Himself is the limit and the limitless:
and beyond both the limited and the limitless is He,
the Pure Being.
He is the Immanent Mind in Brahma and in the creature.
The Supreme Soul is seen within the soul,
The Point is seen within the Supreme Soul,
And within the Point, the reflection is seen again.
Kabîr is blest because he has this supreme vision!
Joseph Made Known To His Brethren
When Joseph his brethren beheld,
Afflicted and trembling with fear;
His heart with compassion was filled,
From weeping he could not forbear.
Awhile his behavior was rough,
To bring their past sin to their mind;
But when they were humbled enough,
He hasted to show himself kind.
How little they thought it was he,
Whom they had ill treated and sold!
How great their confusion must be,
As soon as his name he had told!
I am Joseph, your brother, he said,
And still to my heart you are dear,
You sold me, and thought I was dead,
But God, for your sakes, sent me here.
Though greatly distressed before,
When charged with purloining the cup;
They now were confounded much more,
Not one of them durst to look up.
Can Joseph, whom we would have slain.
Forgive us the evil we did?
And will he our households maintain?
O this is a brother indeed!
Thus dragged by my conscience, I came,
And laden with guilt, to the Lord;
Surrounded with terror and shame,
Unable to utter a word.
At first he looked stern and revere,
What anguish then pierced my heart!
Expecting each moment to hear
The sentence, Thou cursed, depart!
But O! what surprise when he spoke,
While tenderness beamed in his face;
My heart then to pieces was broke,
O'erwhelmed and confounded by grace:
Poor sinner, I know thee full well,
By thee I was sold and was slain;
But I died to redeem thee from hell,
And raise thee in glory to reign.
I am Jesus, whom thou hast blasphemed,
And crucified often afresh;
But let me henceforth be esteemed,
Thy brother, thy bone, and thy flesh:
My pardon I freely bestow,
Thy wants I will fully supply;
I'll guide thee and guard thee below,
And soon will remove thee on high.
Go, publish to sinners around,
That they may be willing to come,
The mercy which now you have found,
And tell them that yet there is room.
O, sinners, the message obey!
No more vain excuses pretend;
But come, without farther delay,
To Jesus our brother and friend.

Innocent World
I used to live in an innocent world
I had a car and a pretty blond girlfriend
We was too young to know what we were doing
And anyway I was just fooling around
Innocent innocent innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world
With a cute little monkey on my back
And a total disregard for the facts
Id run away and never get back
From my innocent world
There aint no reason to tell no lie
When youre young and youve got a lot of pie
Now I slink around like a killer
The things they say are just a lot of filler
In my mind, in my mind
Innocent innocent innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world
Running, laughing in the sun
And always having lots of fun
Smoking dope and just being young
In my innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world
With a cute little monkey on my back
And a total disregard for the facts
Id run away and never get back
From my innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world

Sunday
She’s a sweet girl as innocent as a newborn infant. She’s as beautiful as the first day of spring. Her smile brightens even the darkest of hours, her smile like a blossoming flower.
The scent of her hair wanders in the air, while flashbacks of recent kisses haunt me continuously.
How can I hurt such a woman? What kind of a man would that make me, a coward? Hiding behind a slightly bruised shell. HEY, but what the hell if I can’t offer her the kind of love she needs.
I planted a seed in good soil, but I doubt it’ll see its birth here on earth. I am a murderer of innocent lives, so you see I can’t make her my wife.
She’s a sweet girl as innocent as a new born infant. In fact her soul would be sold for less than it is worth. And for what it’s worth, I realize it isn’t fair, but in spite of everything I do care…

Behind the Sun
One day while bathing in the sea
my talking dolphin spoke to me
he spoke to me in symphony
from freedom's peace beneath the sea
he looked to me eyes full of love
said yes we live behind the sun
Behind the sun
The sun goes up
and the sun gets down
but like the heart of the sun
my heart continues to pound
Now while I shower in the rain
I watch my dolphin swim away
the one who listens to the surf
can feel the pulse beat of the earth
and like my dolphin swims so free
the sun does swim into the sea
Behind the sun
An island flying through the sky
one day your son might ask you why
and if you son should be a girl
she too might ask you of this world
the sun shines sweet upon your beach
and yes my dolphin loves to teach
Behind the sun
The sun goes up
and the sun gets down
but like the heart of the sun
my heart continues to pound

What It Takes To Be A Good Friend
A good friend is always kind,
Should always speak their mind,
Their compassion should never end,
That's what it takes to be a good friend.
A good friend is there for you,
They are real, they are true- blue,
Their compassion should never end,
That's what it takes to be a good friend.
A good friend will be there when you marry,
A heart full of memories, they will carry,
Their compassion should never end,
That's what it takes to be a good friend.
They'll be there if your father dies,
They'll weep with you when you cry,
Their compassion should never end,
That's what it takes to be a good friend.
If a good friend you do find,
Make sure they treat you kind,
Understanding they shouldn't lack,
And they would never stab you in the back,
On top of everything always remember,
A best friend is forever.

0184 Poetry's Triumph
When that strange stirring to a poem comes -
half-heard, half-formed, some seed deep in the mind -
the heart lights up, so eager to explore
the unknown path that listening may find:
obedience, awe, devotion, humbleness
all rise to meet the offering of the word,
and gently, like new father with his child,
tend precious stranger granted to their care.
Then silence turns to music in the mind
and all too solid words form, black and white;
behind the magic of the manifest
remains - less noonday, than unbroken night...
The poet's failure? No, his Muse's power -
if readers hear that seed which spoke the flower.

Driving The Point
and then i look
straight on the face of
the creature fronting me
and we had an
eye contact
i was saying something
different
from what my eyes are
uttering and that
creature was not wise enough
to understand
what was driven
of course
i understand that my eyes
live in a different world
from my lips
and so does my heart
my soul and my
body
my feet too travel in
different direction
apart from what
i have in mind
nothing goes much
without unlike what war is waged therein
the winner is still
uncertain
the loser perhaps is so kind
to caress
the sadness of understanding

Boy With A Dolphin
Boy with a dolphin, two species at play!
Submerged for a moment then up to the spray!
Two mammals at leisure, no danger in sight
Just swimming together neath golden sunlight!
Neither is greater or lesser at all...
Each is the partner as pleasures enthrall!
The dolphin is noble and caring to boot...
Fraternal in spirit and physically cute!
The boy holds the dolphin in tune with his friend,
'You lead and I'll follow! ' They both comprehend!
No biting or scratching, just true courtesy
That's borne of God's blessing and joint harmony!
Could this be the blueprint of how life was planned?
Exploring the Cosmos by space, sea and land!
With love as the standard, the hallmark of grace
And proof is made known by the smile on one's face!
If so, keep on smiling and bubbling with joy!
Remember the dolphin! Remember the boy!
Keep faith with God's Spirit and radiate love!
And soon you'll be flying with angels above!

The Demise Of Dolphins
Dolphins are delightful creatures, who I absolutely adore;
I feel sad, when they are washed up dead, along the seashore.
Seeing a dolphin swimming in the wild, must be very exciting,
But the day may come, when a dolphin becomes a rare sighting.
The death of a dolphin, should never ever be in vain;
From each one's demise, a lesson should be gained.
If we can try to discover why each dolphin has died,
Our future actions, that reason, should then guide.
The ocean is fast becoming a thick soup of toxic waste;
A daily problem, which many dolphins, now have to face.
If we continue disposing of our waste in to the ocean,
It will end up as a most poisonous and deadly potion.
Dolphins have such happy faces, and are just so adorable;
That we are needlessly killing them, is just so deplorable.
Through sparkling, clear waters, the dolphins love to zoom;
But where waste has been dumped, there is a murky gloom.
There are times when it does seem really very odd,
When deposited on a beach, is a whole dolphin pod.
That is when we need to stop; when we need to pause,
And do our utmost best to discover the underlying cause.
Such sad scenes, we do not wish to see repeated;
As, soon, the dolphin population will be depleted.
Each link within the food chain is strongly connected;
If a dolphin eats a poisoned fish, it too, will be infected.
Some people may think I'm making way too much fuss,
But life upon this Earth, is far from being just about us.
There are creatures on Earth, which are totally amazing,
And it is their lives which we, as humans, are now erasing.
As humans, we seem to think we have every single right,
And many of us are willing to ignore a creature's plight.
We really need to start thinking more, long before we act;
Dolphins are needlessly dying, and that is an actual fact.
