White Owl In Flight
Whilst walking through the wood today, twixt trees beneath the sun,
I spied young foxes, both at play and smiled to see such fun.
Then I moved on, midst morning mist, and grass adorned with dew,
Cheered up by flowers, summer-kissed, so radiant to view.
Their fragrant perfume filled the air, yes, 'Heaven scent', indeed!
Attracting insects everywhere to come and have their feed.
Then suddenly I saw a sight that took my breath away -
A wondrous white owl caught in flight, perhaps in hunt for prey...
The wings outstretched like envelopes, like surf-boards in the sky!
My heart at once was full of hopes - at first I knew not why!
And then I knew, I understood, for in that bird I saw
Each has its realm, just as it should! What need is there for more?
Some creatures walk, some creatures fly and others float or swim,
Dependent on God's grace to live, subservient to Him.
God put me here to walk this Earth, within His worldly plan...
To cherish Christ, and praise His worth, and help my fellow man...

Christ: The Light Of The World
A nightly vision came to me, as in the dream I slept,
Pertaining to humanity and every tear once wept...
But God refused to let it lie, without a hope or prayer
And on the future, let me spy, my broken heart to spare.
I saw the Earth amid the stars... and sun and moon above,
It teemed with life, as if not sparce, yet here, more than enough.
And this new Earth was beaming light, just like the sun and moon,
It truly was a wondrous sight and to my eyes, a boon!
It simply took my breath away! I asked God to explain...
He said the vision won't delay, the Earth will smile again...
With humans by the billions now, awaiting Christ's return,
Beyond the times God must allow and lessons still to learn...
The Earth was filled with melodies, from both the young and old,
The creatures forming harmonies of greater worth than gold...
Men prayed, Lord, heal the planet, too, let planet Earth be blessed!
Yes, this was what my eyes could view, a new Earth at its best...
Then darkness melted in my mind, to steal the dream within,
As if my very soul was blind, by doubts and pain and sin.
When I awoke upon my bed, the blankets I unfurled
And at God's painting smiled instead: Christ: the Light of the World!

Today is autumn, winter and summer
Today is autumn, winter
and summer
pressed into one day.
The wind tosses leaves
all over the lawn
and brushes against
the windows with it.
Big raindrops fall
from a grey sky
and the cold
grabs at the thin
summer clothes
and the earth
oozes water
of day after day out.
Suddenly the sun
shines again and it gets hotter
and still hotter
while the blue comes through
as if nature cannot really decide
what season it is.
Both cats are out
as if on patrol
after the rain,
combing the grass
for insects
and then climbing trees
trying to hunt
in search of prey.

No patching up here
Patching up the old is not Jesus' way.
Old and new together will only fray.
Jesus said, 'Behold I make all things new'
and these tattered garments just will not do.
We worship the Lord seated on His throne
each one dressed in new raiment's not his own.
For new creatures in Christ we have become
and stand with Him in our heavenly home.
With robes of righteousness clean and white
we all gather there such a wondrous sight.
The church adorned all radiant and fair
as a bride with her Bridegroom standing there.
The Legend Of The Angel
When God made the angels, not one of them knew how to fly.
They walked across Heaven not knowing all they could do.
God wanted to know how long it would take them to learn.
So He kept telling them to go to different parts of Heaven.
Off they went walking, walking, walking, walking, walking.
In time, one of the Lord's angels found out that he could run.
The archangels were completely shocked and they tried it.
Pretty soon, millions of angels were running across Heaven.
God smiled at them. We all have to start somehere, don't we?
God created a few upstairs' rooms in some of His palaces.
Wisely, the angels and the archangels walked up the stairs.
Even though they could run and run and run, they walked.
God smiled again, because He liked them to be careful...
As a reward, He transformed their wings into silver and gold.
The angels were amazed at these wondrous dazzling delights.
But, the thing is, silver and gold can be quite heavy at times.
Not one of the angels complained. Why offend the Father?
But, the thing is, silver and gold can be quite heavy at times.
After a bit, it got a bit too much for one of the smaller angels.
He was exhausted, huffing and puffing his way across Heaven.
The next time God called to him, he approached the Throne...
Father, could You take back Your silver and gold, please?
The Lord agreed and then the angel began to float in the air.
He flapped his wings nervously not knowing how to get down.
To his amazement, he started flying as the other angels stared.
This is so much easier than walking or running! He told them.
So they all asked God the Father to please let them fly as well.
All their silver and gold melted away and covered the streets.
As they didn't feel the need of these, they blessed Heaven instead.
From that day on, all of the angels could fly, it was so easy...
Then they understood why God had made some smaller angels.
He knew one of them would be tired out and had to ask for help.
Imagine if we had no setbacks, no weights to hold us down...
Alas, we haven't earned our wings yet, but maybe someday...
In the meanwhile, let's just feed the birds and watch them fly...

Evening Ramble
As evening shadows fall
And stars begin to shine
We walk hand in hand
Under a moon that’s divine
The creatures of the night
Scamper to and fro
They will stop for a moment
As their eyes reflect the light
We walk through a wonderland
On our ramble as we go
Our hearts beat as one
In the stillness, don’t you know
Here on a warm summer night
Its not only the stars that shine bright
Flowers fill the air
With a fragrant perfume
And love is everywhere
It fills the heart with peace and joy
For every man, woman, girl and boy

Freedom In My Chains
To be chained in Christ
Is to be free indeed
Free to die and free to bleed
Free to walk the pilgrim way
Free to die to self each day
To be lost in Christ
Is to be found
To feel His presence all around
To plunge into the Father's love
To walk with Him like hand in glove
To be dead in Christ
Is to truly live
To truly love and to forgive
To live this life and so much more
To honor, worship and adore
To live in Christ
Is to die
To walk with Him who dwells on high
Alive to Christ and dead to sin
Gloriously filled from deep within
To reign with Christ
Is to serve
A testimony to preserve
Of the glorious King who reigns on high
Whose glory fills the earth and sky
To walk with Christ
Is to run
To know the journey's just begun
To run and run and never tire
To soar with wings and ever higher
To dwell with Christ
Is to roam
We'll never settle till we're home
Pilgrim saints along the way
Ever closer every day
The paradoxes that we find
In Christ alone renews the mind
The way that seems so right to man
Is opposite to our God's plan

Age of Grace
Now is the time of God’s Favor, today dear friend, not tomorrow,
Today accept Christ as Savior, and eternally you’ll see no sorrow,
This is the day of God’s Salvation, an offer by God to everyone,
Given through God’s Revelation, Jesus Christ, His begotten Son.
Today He’ll hear you as you call; as you’re moved by His Grace,
To save you from Adam’s fall, as you seek the Light of His face.
God’s made a way, for all men, to live with Him in Heaven above,
As we stand today condemned, He saves us in the Savior’s love.
In this Age of Grace which we live, God sent His Son to all of us,
To man, with eternal life to give, to all who in Him place their trust.
And the Lord comes to live within, each and every believing heart,
As Christ saves us from all sin, to be the friend who won’t depart.
New Life Christ gives to all men, this to live anew upon this earth,
This as they are Born Again; born of God through a spiritual birth.
God sends The Spirit, as our guide, as we begin to live New Life,
The Spirit helps us to abide, in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
All that we need, we get from God, as He sustains us, every day.
God helps us on this earthly sod, to walk along life’s narrow way.
All you need to do is to believe, in the Grace from God’s Throne,
And you too, Christ will receive, as God makes you His very own.

Another Raven Story (A Fable)
It dost speak and live free.
Tamed by men and virtuous scores
The raven's been scarred and bleeding.
'Nevermore should wounds be healed.
Nevermore must I fly.
Death comes as I glide away,
I'd rather bleed here and die!
To seek freedom is to seek death
As lifespans linger on.
So dost my time clock ticks
Wearing my breath down for long.'
He took his plight and roam the earth
Not wanting to flap his feathered wings.
Mingling with rodents and crawling insects
As birds of his kind flew free.
His wounds have healed in time
But he dost stay there, still.
'I'll live here alone and happy
With a world far beyond my mind.
I, a raven, a bird no more;
A creature of earthly soil.
I declare myself splendid
Above the birds I know.
No bird nor life should call me 'Raven'
For bird am I no more.'
He met some friends,
Some creatures from the ground.
'Why art ye this way? ' They asked.
So he told his story to all.
'But thou art a bird.' Said the other.
'And thou shalt not deny it.' Said one.
'Fortunate ye are with wings
Able to explore horizons.
Unlike us who cannot fly
When fires scorch the seasons.'
After that all departed
Thinking how strange the raven's been.
Feeling unwanted, he left.
Still walking, and not with wings.
Night falls, he finds no shelter.
No caves nor holes to spend the night.
His pride's too big for him to go back
To trees he lived, and once called home.
'Further steps would lead new places.
By far, strive hard and well be patient.
My outstretched legs must be kept working
For me to be strong and survive.'
Says he, the raven, denying flight;
Too proud enough to swallow his pride.
Dawn's arriving though it's still dark.
The raven saw this creature and spoke out loud:
'Ye rat, why dost ye have wings? '
Says he, 'Me not a rat, you see;
A mammal of flight am I, a bat! '
Swung free open his wings and flew,
Glides pass the dark, out of moonlight's sight.
'Is he happy? ' Asked the raven to himself.
Sunrise approaching, but still he hasn't rested.
'Guess I have to use these wings.' Quoth he.
'I have no life wandering. The sky's my life.
How treacherous its pangs may be.'
Beyond Vanity
Everything is truly done in vain, unless you live your life for God,
For there is nothing that will remain, on this present earth we trod.
All this world is temporal friend, no matter what path you choose,
And everything will have an end, and earthly gain we all shall lose.
All men are simply like the grass, here today, but soon will perish,
And when all comes to pass, is it Christ Jesus whom you cherish?
That’s one thing that will endure, with benefits well into eternal life,
Where you will live forevermore, while in Eternity with Jesus Christ.
When all on earth’s said and done, there lies ahead a great reward,
For all who come to God’s Son, and live to serve The Living Lord.
The life that Christ came to give, God offers to both, you and me,
And Jesus helps us to daily live, while He prepares us for Eternity.
With our focus now up above, filled with Heaven’s Joys and Bliss,
Moved anew through God’s Love, life now, is not so meaningless.
For Jesus came to give men life, taking us from the dark of night,
Freeing men of meaningless strife, while guiding them in His Light.
All vanities shall simply fade away, from your heart and your mind,
When Christ’s in our heart to stay, giving spiritual sight to the blind.
And now with new eyes you see, a world beyond this temporal sod,
Where we will live for Eternity, with Jesus Christ, our Lord and God.

Heaven
The Lord God shall overwhelm, our hearts in that eternal realm,
With bodies that will last forever, while sin surrounds us never,
Now freed from all earthly strife, when we enter into eternal life,
Surrounded in an eternal peace, in a realm that shall not cease.
We will find nothing on earth, to compare with Heaven’s worth,
A pure realm of Eternal Bliss, filled with God’s Righteousness,
With all believers home in Heaven, far from our days of seven,
Now, a timeless realm with Christ, as we enter into Eternal Life.
All who The Lord calls His Own, shall gather around His Throne,
Where God will guide me and you, in Eternity, with much to do,
While we serve The King of kings, in His realm of eternal things,
And our service to Christ my friend, shall never come to an end.
With a new body, that shall last, forever, not bodies of the past,
Receiving eternal bodies, glorified, to live forever at God’s side,
Right by the side of Christ Jesus, for all eternity will be all of us,
All who came to Christ, in faith, all saved by God, by His Grace.
Grace, that allows us to enter in, a Holy Heaven, despite our sin,
Sin, which was cleansed at Calvary, to provide us Life Eternally,
For by His Blood we’re purified, so up in Heaven, we can reside,
With our God and Creator, thanks to Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Zen Creatures
humans think
they are of
a higher realm
when the trees
in their quiet
throw a challenge
as to who
have achieved
higher consciousness
the trees
meditate
all ovr the mountains
a glorious sight
a sacredness
you cannot miss
zen creatures
cared for
staying so still
now they -
self conceited humans
are laughing about how
the trees could be of
a higher realm
when they can be
chopped down at will
yet at their last moment
the trees stand
in all their glory
teaching men zen
taking death
as it comes
as they have taken - life
thinking nothingness
zen creatures
a higher realm
they belong
see how they reach up to god

Without You
I could bathe in the moonlight shimmer
But drown in crazed shadows- without you.
And watch a white dove ride the surf
But lose it in the sun.
Could muse in fields of summer rain
Bereft of heaven's scent, without you
Stand and watch stars collide
Yet be void of the thrill.
I may kiss the breeze
Only to die on the wind
I could view sunset serenity
Only seeing cruel storm threaten.
Float on the music of an angel
Yet without you sink in monotone hum.
I could dance across a sun kissed meadow
But without you fall crippled into the darkest night.
I would laugh with you in life's arena
Yet without you cry alone in cold corridor.
I could close my hands around the beauty of your smile
But without you they would open forever empty.
Our souls would touch on hissing summer night
But without you stand solo in only winter's arms.
I could fly with the freedom of the migrant flock
Yet without you suffer the chains of the aged
Then would walk down empty streets
-And without you just keep walking.

The Beautiful Sun
Beautiful Sun! with thy golden rays,
To God, the wise Creator, be all praise;
For thou nourisheth all the creation,
Wherever there is found to be animation.
Without thy heat we could not live,
Then praise to God we ought to give;
For thou makest the fruits and provisions to grow,
To nourish all creatures on earth below.
Thou makest the hearts of the old feel glad,
Likewise the young child and the lad,
And the face of Nature to look green and gay,
And the little children to sport and play.
Thou also givest light unto the Moon,
Which certainly is a very great boon
To all God's creatures here below,
Throughout the world where'er they go.
How beautiful thou look'st on a summer morn,
When thou sheddest thy effulgence among the yellow corn,
Also upon lake, and river, and the mountain tops,
Whilst thou leavest behind the most lovely dewdrops!
How beautiful thou seem'st in the firmament above,
As I gaze upon thee, my heart fills with love
To God, the great Creator, Who has placed thee there,
Who watches all His creatures with an eye of care!
Thou makest the birds to sing on the tree,
Also by meadow, mountain, and lea;
And the lark high poised up in air,
Carolling its little song with its heart free from care.
Thou makest the heart of the shepherd feel gay
As he watches the little lambkins at their innocent play;
While he tends them on the hillside all day,
Taking care that none of them shall go astray.
Thou cheerest the weary traveller while on his way
During the livelong summer day,
As he admires the beautiful scenery while passing along,
And singing to himself a stave of a song.
Thou cheerest the tourist while amongst the Highland hills,
As he views their beautiful sparkling rills
Glittering like diamonds by the golden rays,
While the hills seem to offer up to God their praise.
While the bee from flower to flower does roam
To gather honey, and carry it home;
While it hums its little song in the beautiful sunshine,
And seemingly to thank the Creator divine --
For the honey it hath gathered during the day,
In the merry month of May,
When the flowers are in full bloom,
Also the sweet honeysuckle and the broom.
How beautiful thy appearance while setting in the west,
Whilst encircled with red and azure, 'tis then thou look'st best!
Then let us all thank God for thy golden light
In our prayers every morning and night!

From Genesis To Revelation
When Adam named each living thing, as he was told to do,
He saw that some could fly and sing. 'Why can't I do these, too? '
He saw some creatures burrow down beneath the earth below
And this new puzzle made him frown, 'Where do such creatures go? '
He saw the sun, he saw the moon and stars that filled the sky.
'Why does the sunshine go so soon? ' Such riddles made him sigh.
So many questions filled his head when he was all alone.
He closed his eyes and dreamt instead with answers still unknown.
When Eve arrived, he saw her face and welcomed this new start.
This miracle had proved God's grace for prayers within his heart.
But Eve, beguiled by Satan's lies, led Adam's heart astray
And from their Earthly Paradise, these two were led away.
The Bible says that all have sinned. We live, but then we die.
For by God's laws each soul is pinned unless God's grace comes by.
Thus Jesus died as Easter shows - His life's blood sacrificed.
His righteousness pays what each owes and so we trust in Christ.
Believers preach what we've been taught. God blesses every word
That says how Jesus Christ has brought new life as our shepherd.
God's revelation comes to you - like prayers that fly to Heaven!
The most important thing to do - believe, so you're forgiven!
God blesses those who turn in faith and trust the King of Love!
He promises each soul is safe, forevermore above...

Sonnet III: Mindful of you the sodden earth
Mindful of you the sodden earth in spring,
And all the flowers that in the springtime grow,
And dusty roads, and thistles, and the slow
Rising of the round moon, all throats that sing
The summer through, and each departing wing,
And all the nests that the bared branches show,
And all winds that in any weather blow,
And all the storms that the four seasons bring.
You go no more on your exultant feet
Up paths that only mist and morning knew,
Or watch the wind, or listen to the beat
Of a bird's wings too high in air to view,--
But you were something more than young and sweet
And fair,--and the long year remembers you.

Rules And Lessons
When first thine eyes unveil, give thy soul leave
To do the like: our bodies but forerun
The spirit's duty. True hearts spread and heave
Unto their God, as flowers do to the sun.
Give Him thy first thoughts then; so shalt thou keep
Him company all day, and in Him sleep.
Yet never sleep the sun up: Prayer should
Dawn with the day. There are set awful hours
'Twixt Heaven and us. The manna was not good
After sunrising: far day sullies flowers.
Rise to prevent the sun: sleep doth sin's glut,
And Heaven's gate opens, when this world's shut.
Walk with thy fellow-creatures; note the hush
And whispers amongst them. There's not a spring
Or leaf but hath his morning hymn; each bush
And oak doth know
I AM
. Canst thou not sing?
O leave thy cares and follies! go this way,
And thou art sure to prosper all the day.
To heighten thy devotions, and keep low
All mutinous thoughts, what business e'er thou hast,
Observe God in his works; how fountains flow,
Birds sing, beasts feed, fish leap, and th' earth stands fast;
Above are restless motions, running lights,
Vast circling azure, giddy clouds, days, nights.
When seasons change, then lay before thine eyes
His wondrous method; mark the various scenes
In Heaven; hail, thunder, rainbows, snow, and ice,
Calms, tempests, light and darkness, by his means;
Thou canst not miss his praise; each tree, herb, flower,
Are shadows of his wisdom, and his power.

Corinthian Exhortation
Paul had exhorted the Corinthians, to tap the power they had within,
This to live every day of their life, through the Power of Jesus Christ.
He said to watch with extra vigilance, in their world full of decadence,
To watch as they lived their lives, with all eyes fixed on Jesus Christ.
He said, stand fast and persevere, while living new life in Holy Fear,
Leaning on their new found faith, while fully relying on God’s Grace.
To be brave as they live each day, walking boldly in the narrow way,
Following Christ in all of His ways, as they live their life full of praise.
He said be strong in The Spirit of God, being led by His staff and rod,
As they build the character of Christ, within the very being of their life.
And to be loving in all their ways, while continuing their lives of praise,
This through the love of the cross, as they would seek to win the lost.
Also be submissive to one another, always ready to help your brother,
Through the Spirit of Jesus Christ, who gave for all men, his very life.
To greet each other with a holy kiss; today would be somewhat amiss,
But the thought was to warmly greet, each and every brother you meet.
Today in our times, much like theirs, are often filled with worldly cares,
So Friend we too must live our life, with watchful eyes on Jesus Christ.
And we need to listen to Paul’s plea, and take his instruction seriously,
For in The Spirit Paul is talking to, today’s Christians, like me and you.

Soul Searching
Summertime and my heart is happy
Every bloom exudes a sweet perfume
Delicate creatures on feathered wings
Warble songs that fill the air
Butterflies without a care
Rays of sunlight filters through
The paths I take the one I knew
Let me walk in peace
Enjoy the simple things in life
And never strife to hold
What is not mine to keep
Then, when I go to the place I know
It will not count who I was or what I had
Only, was I bad?

Precious Earth And Precious Sun
We praise you sister Sun and mother Earth,
for being there at the time of our birth.
for giving us flowers to smell, and birds and insects
To hear as well.
We praise you Precious Sun for all of your warmth
You bring to us every day,
We praise you Mother Earth when we holds our hands together to pray
Along with all the creatures you brought here to play.
All of us on the planet praise you Precious Earth and Precious Sun.
