Supergirl
As Krypton died, her spaceship rose,
To transport her away
And so to planet Earth it goes,
With nowhere safe to stay...
Across the void, she travels fast,
Her life still in Fate's hands,
Until there comes our Earth at last
And, thus, her spaceship lands...
She stands upon her feet again,
To breathe Earth's precious air,
Its miracle beyond her ken,
As it moves through her hair...
She eats the apples on the trees,
Drinks water from the brook...
It's her reflection that she sees!
She takes a long, long look...
You see, it's oh so beautiful,
So wondrous to behold!
Her blonde hair looks adorable,
Like wheat or shining gold...
And all at once she's floating high,
With her face full of smiles,
She's happy now, for she can fly
For miles and miles and miles!
She tests her speed, amazed to be
Much faster than a plane,
Yet Superman's the first to see
She needs his help to train...
With supervision, she does well,
My word, what she can do!
If I met her, this truth I'd tell...
Supergirl... I LOVE YOU!

Ground Control to Major Tom
Ground Control to Major Tom
Take your protein pills
And put your helmet on
Ground Control to Major Tom
Commencing countdown, engines on
Check ignition
And may God's love be with you
Ten, nine eight, seven, six, five
Four, three, two, one, liftoff
This is Ground Control to Major Tom
You've really made the grade
And the papers want to know
Whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule
If you dare
This is Major Tom to Ground Control
I'm stepping through the door
And I'm floating in a most peculair way
And the stars look very different
Today
For here
Am I sitting in a tin can
Far above the world
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do
Though I'm past 100,000 miles
I'm feeling very still
And I think my spaceship knows
Which way to go
Tell my wife I love her very much,
She knows
Ground Control to Major Tom
Your circuit's dead,
There's something wrong
Can you hear me Major Tom
Can you hear me Major Tom
Can you hear me Major Tom
Can you....
Here am I floating round my tin can
Far above the Moon
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do

40 Miles From the Sun
There is nowhere left to hide
There is nothing to be done
No people to be saved
No pets we've never names
40 miles from the sun
As darkness craves the mind
We come undone without our pride
No time on the earth to come
All the pleasures just begun
40 miles from the sun
In our coats beneath the layers
Wash my skin of all the hate
We should sleep late
Everything just kind of grates
40 miles from the sun
40 miles from the sun
40 miles from the sun
I need to lose to make it right
I'll confront the stars tonight
I will babble I will bite
You will never know how much you shine
40 miles from the sun
40 miles from the sun
40 miles from the sun

My Oh My Its A Miracle
My oh my its a miracle
Good morning love
Rise and shine
Its a beautiful day
And I feel fine
Come watch the sun light the sky
And sip a coffee you and i
Wont you give us a kiss now
Perchance a little more
No dont mind that witch
Peeking out next door
I feel like a lark sitting high up a tree
Whats just another day to one man
Is a miracle to me
My oh my its a miracle
(a miracle to me)
My oh my its a miracle
(its a miracle)
All the whinning all the worry
All the fast friends and the fury
Oh dear lord
All the madness that used to move me
Simply dont behoove me
No more
Yeah let it rain let is shine
If I got you I got mine
Oh well hello sweet sanity
Im alive and Im smilling
And thats a miracle to me
My oh my its a miracle
(a miracle to me)
My oh my its a miracle
Now good morning love
And how are you
Does your old man seem
A bit too chearful to be true
Excuse me if I shed a little tear joyfully
But when your hands in my hand
Yeah when a woman really loves a man
Its a miracle to me
My oh my its a miracle
(a miracle to me)
My oh my its a miracle
(its a miracle)
Im ten miles high its a miracle
(Im ten miles high its a miracle)
Look at my life its a miracle
(its a miracle)

(g) six more miles (c) to the (g) graveyard,
Six more miles, long and (d7) sad,
Six more (g) miles and (c) leave my (g) darlin,
Leave the best (c) friend, I ever (g) had.
(g) oh I hear the train a-comin,
Bringin my (c) darlin back (g) home,
Six more (c) miles, to the (g) graveyard,
And Ill be left here (d7) all a- (g) lone.

Left my darlin alone,
Now Im sad, my heart is cryin,

I Can See For Miles
I know youve deceived me, now heres a surprise
I know that you have cause theres magic in my eyes
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah
If you think that I dont know about the little tricks youve played
And never see you when deliberately you put things in my way
Well, heres a poke at you
Youre gonna choke on it too
Youre gonna lose that smile
Beacuse all the while
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah
You took advantage of my trust in you when I was so far away
I saw you holding lots of other guys and now youve got the nerve to say
That you still want me
Well, thats as may be
But you gotta stand trial
Because all the while
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah
I know youve deceived me, now heres a surprise
I know that you have cause theres magic in my eyes
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah
The eiffel tower and the taj mahal are mine to see on clear days
You thought that I would need a crystal ball to see right through the haze
Well, heres a poke at you
Youre gonna choke on it too
Youre gonna lose that smile
Beacuse all the while
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
And miles and miles and miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles

Galaxy Song
When youre feeling inside out and insecure,
and life keeps getting you down.
When all lifes daily worrieshurry through your head.
You dont want to even get up.
You just lie around in bed.
When you feel you just cant take it anymore
And you wonder what on earth it is all foryour love lifes like a war zone
Your tvs on the blinkits enough to drive a drinking man to stop and take a
Think
just remember that you standing on a planet thats evolving, revolving at 900
Miles an hour.its orbiting at 19 miles a second, so its reckoned,
A sun that is the source of all our power.
The sun and you and me and all the stars that we can see
Are moving at a million miles a day.
In an outer spiral orb, at 40,000 miles an hour,
Of the galaxy we call the milky way
Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars.
Its a 100,000 light years side to side
It bulges in the middle 16,000 light years thick,
But out by us its just 3,000 light years wide.
Were 30,000 light years from galactic central point.
We go round every 200,000,000 years.
And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions
In this amazing and expanding universe.
Our universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding
In all of the directions it can whiz
As fast as it can go, the speed of light you know, 12,000,000 miles a minute,
And thats the fastest speed there is!
So, remember when youre feeling very small and insecure
How amazingly unlikely is your birth.
And pray that theres intelligent life somewhere up in space,
cause Im afraid that weve been cheated here on earth.

Lonely Days
Girl i can't abide
By the rules you laid down in this game
'cause now i've gone and lost myself in you
One time you catch a ride
And it takes you miles away
There's a chance of never feeling blue
And those lonely days will be long time forgotten
If we could find another way
Now let's contemplate is this time of passion
Strong enough to make you stay
Because i do believe in forever
And forever i will stay
And those lonely days will remain
Miles and miles away
Emotional exile
Is the safest way to play
Gotta take a chance every now and then
Irresistible change of heart
I will guide your way
We could share a life again
And those lonely days will be long time forgotten
If we could find another way
Now let's contemplate is this time of passion
Strong enough to make you stay
Because i do believe in forever
And forever i will stay
And those lonely days will remain
Miles and miles away
Miles and miles away
Miles and miles away
Miles and miles away
Miles and miles away....
(repeat)
Girl i can't abide
By the rules you laid down in this game

The Good Earth
When I was a child and the road was dark and the way was long and alone,
My heart would lift as I turned the bend and saw the lights of home.
Now high above in a silent sky,
In a still and starry space,
A man looks down on the earth below,
And that blue and green and shining glow,
To him is the lights of home.
Its the good earth, yes the good earth.
Its a land of sun and rain and snow,
And mulberry trees and mistletoe,
And burning plains and raging seas,
And sunday morning taking your ease,
Watching your children grow.
Its the good earth, yes the good earth,
Where we fought and loved and killed and died,
And ruined and ravished the countryside,
But now, from a million miles away,
From another world thats cold and gray,
Someone is able to look and say,
Thats the good earth.
So isnt it time we stopped the tears?
Weve lived together for thousands of years,
And whether Im wrong, and whether youre right,
Whether youre black, and whether Im white,
One day well stand on the edge of the world,
And someone will ask us the land of our birth,
And well look into his eyes and quietly say:
Its the good earth, yes the good earth.
Why cant we be good on the good earth?

Miles Away
As the cars go by under the sun like an enemy
You wonder (x3)
As a spider comes and looks at you like an enemy
You wonder (x3)
Yeah miles, miles away
She's hurting people in a better world
Miles, miles away
Dressed again in the hot water
You're more beautiful than ever
Looking in the car's rear view mirror
Floor is hard uncomforted
By the second time she wondered she hungered she hungers
Like a killer's wife
As the cars go by (x3)
Yeah as the cars go by
Miles, miles away
She's hurting people in a better world
Miles, miles away
Dressed again in the hot water
Well you're more beautiful than ever
Looking in the car's rear view mirror
You're more beautiful than ever
Miles, miles away (x2)

A Life Of Arctic Sounds
As long as your gone,
I cant apologize
For all the things that I havent said and done
And 100 miles is a long drive inside a car
200
300
400
500 miles is a real long drive inside a car
600 miles is a long drive inside a car
700
800
900 miles is a long long long long ways in a car
1000 miles is a long drive inside a car!!!!!!!
1100 miles is too far inside a car
I wrote my name on the sun(? )
Hey alright I might be goddamned
A life of arctic sounds
Hey alright I might be goddamned

This Month Messiah
I'm just a pilgrim here looking for holy ground
I'm just a body lost but my soul can be found
How many miles to go
How many miles to babylon
I don't know where to turn when answers all fade clear
But I must find a place there's only questions here
How many miles to go
How many miles to babylon
How many miles to go
How many miles to babylon
I feel...feel like I'm on trial
Who made a judge of you
Are you this month's messiah
I am a fightin' man tired of living under the gun
But am I looking for love or am I looking to run
How many miles to go
How many miles to babylon
How many miles to go
How many miles to babylon
I heard...I heard it on the wire
That it's all up to you
Are you this month's messiah
How many miles to go
How many miles to babylon

Pleasure Dome / Drum Solo
Now I know none of this was planned, it all just kinda happened
I got more than I wanted, but how is still a mystery
Obsessed with this feeling, I trusted it, so I followed it
I'm tripping and stumbling across the land, full of miracles
Into a world so far from home, miles and miles from nowhere
Rooms without doors open for me, oh no
Taking me miles and miles from nowhere
Oh (miles and miles), oh yeah
Lost in this pleasure dome, lost in my own pleasure dome
Oh man, I ain't got a clue, how you get out, or how to find this place
I want my control back, but I'm afraid, I'll lose that feeling
Lost in a world so far from home, I'm miles and miles from nowhere
Falling inside my own pleasure dome, I'm miles and miles from nowhere
Oh (miles and miles), oh yeah
Lost in this pleasure dome, lost inside my pleasure dome
(Solo)
Lost in a world, can't find my way home, miles and miles from nowhere
Falling inside my own pleasure dome, miles and miles from nowhere
Millions of miles, oh no, miles and miles and miles from nowhere
Miles and miles and miles and miles, oh
Lost in this pleasure dome, lost inside my pleasure dome, yeah

Reasons To Be Beautiful
Love hangs herself
With the bedsheets in her cell
Threw myself on fires for you
10 good reasons to stay alive
10 good reasons that I cant find
Oh, give me a reason to be beautiful
So sick in his body, so sick in his soul
Oh, give me one reason to be beautiful
Oh, and everything I am
Love hates you
I live my life in ruins for you
And for all your secrets kept
I squashed the blossom and the blossoms dead
Oh, give me a reason to be beautiful
So sick in his body, so sick in his soul
Oh, and I will make myself so beautiful
Oh, and everything I am
Miles and miles of perfect skin
I swear I do, I fit right in
My love burns through everything
I cannot breathe
Miles and miles of perfect sin
I swear, I said, I fit right in
I fit right in your perfect skin
I cannot breathe
Hey, baby, take it all the way...down
Hey, baby, taste me anyway
Oh, you were born
So pretty oh summerbabe
Well never know...
And fading like a rose
Give me a reason to be beautiful
So sick in his body, so sick in his soul
Ill give you my body, just sell me your soul
Oh, and everything I am will be bought and sold
Oh, and everything I am will turn hard and cold
And they say in the end
Youll get bitter just like them
And they steal your heart away
When the fire goes out you better learn to fake
Its better to rise than fade away...
Hey you were right
Named a star for your eyes
Did you freeze did you weep
Turn to gold, baby, sleep
Hey honey mine
I was there all the time
And I weep at your feet
And it rains and rains

Who doesnt believe in god
Someone I know doesnt even know god
He came from a planet three thousand miles away
Just a short trip
A kind of brief holiday
Can you give someone somewhere to stay
I gotta warn you, hes gotta gun
I gotta warn you, hes gotta gun
I know someone who came on a short trip
Travelling lightly
Travelling by spaceship
He came from a planet three thousand miles away
Can you give someone somewhere to stay
