Scrooge's Number One Fan!
What, me? On Summer holiday? Take time off, fly abroad?
Passport renewed, then on my way! Sunshine as my reward?
Romance, perhaps and clubbing late! Cocktails with umbrellas?
Find true love there, as if by fate, like a million fellas!
Suppose I stay at home instead! I'll have more cash at hand!
Why spend it while I'm on the Med? Love's magic's in each land!
Love works as well in Nottingham, in Birmingham and Bath -
Abroad it's golden glitz and glam and then you tip the staff!
I think I'd rather save my dosh for rainy days at home
Than visit Venice! Oh, my gosh! Or lose it all in Rome!
Call me a skinflint! Miser, too! Call me Ebenezer!
But Scrooge was wise, I'm telling you! Cool dude frugal geezer!
There's bound to be a babe in town to spend a few quid on...
If not, then there's no need to frown! My money won't be gone!
In my old age, when money's tight, I'll have some dosh to spare...
To pay for food, for heat and light and physiotherapy care...

Holiday Romance
On the subway train he sees adverts
For holidays in jamaica, a weekend in
Rome, a cruise round the
Mediterranean, and dreams of a quiet
Week in a little seaside resort away
From his wife, the ducks on the wall,
The soap operas, the office and his
Friends - and who knows, he might
Encounter a holiday romance.
Holiday romance
I had a break for a week
So I booked my seat
And confirmed a reservation
At a quiet little seaside hotel.
I packed my bags
And I caught my train and
Reached my destination
Just in time for the dinner gong--ding dong.
Then I saw lavinia
Standing at the bottom of the stairs.
And I fell for lavinia
The moment that I saw her standing there.
Lavinia looked so divine
As she walked up to the table to dine
And then lavinias eyes met mine.
I thought can this be love,
Can this be lovey-dove
Or just a holiday romance?
Can this be long lost love at last
Or is it just a flash in the pan?
Then after cheese and liqueurs they struck up the band,
I plucked up my courage and I asked lavinia to dance
That was the start of my holiday romance.
Just a holiday romance.
We did the foxtrot, samba and danced through the night
The last waltz came and we held each other so tight.
That was the start of my holiday romance.
Just a holiday romance
A simple holiday romance.
I wonder should I take a chance?
We walked on the beach,
And we paddled our feet,
And we watched all the swimmers,
And my holiday treat felt complete.
We drank lemonade,
And we sat in the shade,
I thought I must be on a winner
And I acted cool and discreet.
For I knew that lavinia
Was the shyest lady that Id ever met,
And I knew that lavinia
Would only be my lady for the week.
It was just a holiday romance
A simple holiday romance.
I wonder should I take this chance?
Just a holiday romance.
Can this be love,
Can this be lovey-dove
Or just a holiday romance?
I tried to kiss her, she walked away,
She said better stop, my husbands
Coming to collect me today.
That was the end of my holiday,
Sweet and innocent holiday,
End of my holiday romance.

Rocknroll, rock, rocknroll
Rocknroll, rock, rocknroll
Do you still recall in the juke box hall when the music played
And the world span around to a brand new sound of those far off days
In their blue suede shoes they would scream and shout
And theyd sing the blues, let it all hang out
Rocknroll - hey! - rocknroll
A rocknroll - hey! - rocknroll
Rocknroll - hey! - rocknroll
Rocknroll, rock, rocknroll
A rocknroll, rock
Took the queen of bop to the high school hop, dancing to the beat
With a u.s. male and her pony tail, well she looked so sweet
Times are changing fast but we wont forget, though that age is past, well be rockin yet
Rocknroll - hey! - rocknroll
A rocknroll - hey! - rocknroll
Rocknroll - hey! - rocknroll
Rocknroll, rock, rocknroll
A rocknroll, rock
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey

Night clubbing, were night clubbing
Were on this machine
We meet people, brand new people
Theyre something to see when youre
Night clubbing, were night clubbing
Oh, well soon make love
Night clubbing, were night clubbing
Were walking through town

We learn dances, brand new dances
Like the nuclear bomb, when were

Liquid Sunshine And Powdered Rain
When we go on holiday
we like to see a bright sun above,
but there are occasions when
we are treated to liquid sunshine and powdered rain.
Sometimes the seasons get mixed up
and summer comes late
and other times winter calls
in the middle of the year.
There are even times when
each season will visit us each day.
However when you are on holiday
you enjoy it without a care.
Early in the morning you get powdered rain
and by mid morning the liquid sunshine calls.
Before the evening falls
you feel the warm rays of the sun.
No one can predict the weather,
we have to take it as it comes.
When you go on holiday
just go out and have some fun.

Did He Have A Passport?
There's a recent book that's just come out
'Bout Jesus by a Hindu
It's a really interesting read
But - if you think like I do -
It raises far more questions than
The few that it can answer
Like if Jesus went abroad
How did he get a passport?
Imagine him signing the forms
And coming to the section
Where it asks you who your father is
And his job or his profession
Now it seems that Jesus did spend time
With sub-continental gurus
So if his passport we could find
His-story would be full proved.

Im Free
I was stranded in the dark
Trying to find an open door
So alone
Chains were wrapped around my heart
Didnt know what love was for
No more
Heard these voices in my head
Telling me youll never escape
No you cant get away
When the spirit in me said
Your love could show me the way
My whole life changed on that day
Now Im walking in the light
All aglow
All I see is sunshine in my eyes
Skies of blue, its true
Im free
Out from under shadows
The only thing that matters
Is that youve worked a miracle in me
Im free
Now when clouds surround me
They have no place around me
All because your love has set me free
Im free
From the time that I knew
That I could find love in you
My hearts been renewed
Now all my dreams are coming true
Im free
I was frightened in the cold
Desperate when you found me in time
You saved me from the world
Got my life back in control
Chased away the madness in my mind
You saved me right in time
Now my futures looking up
Skies of blue, all because of you
Got the sunshine in my life
All aglow, baby, dont you know
Im free
Out from under shadows
The only thing that matters
Is that youve worked a miracle in me
Im free
Now when clouds surround me
They have no place around me
All because your love has set me free
Im free
From the time that I knew
That I could find love in you
My hearts been renewed
Now all my dreams are coming true
Im free
Im free
Out from under shadows
The only thing that matters
Is that youve worked a miracle in me
Im free
Now when clouds surround me
They have no place around me
All because your love has set me free
Im free

Romance Bore Seduction
Hand blessed hand, caressed.
A blushing rose, her face;
Her breast alive;
The elfin nose, a diamond set -
A kiss upon perfection
Bore a rise of pulse
To coach a sultry moan
Across a mellow breath of wine.
He knew; he sensed,
And easing loose a clasp of lace,
Another sign of her relenting:
Wild the play of eyes,
A fuller glide of skin;
He felt the now begin -
Her swell, intention in the sigh.
And so to hedge his move upon the cue -
The cry of deep anticipation,
Waxing all he saw -
Tho' not for us to view -
Arrived, emotion raw.

School Days
School days, school days
where did the summer go
the beaches, festivals and summer love
time to get the backpacks ready
time to move on to the next grade
see old friends, meet new one
we all hate the first day, but love the last
no more sleeping late
now all we have is due dates
days of no work, now tons of homework
study, study study
all we dread is quizzes, but its good for the wizs
no late hangouts, no more all niter's
now we all worry about fighters
we all dream for summer to come
one by one the days go by
when is there a holiday
School day, school days
give me some school breaks

Its Not Too Late
(david jones)
Immortal music (bmi)
Lead vocal: davy jones
If I had a penny for every time I thought about you
I would be a millionaire
I would send you flowers each day
And I would show you in every way
Just how much I really care
The summer sun and the winter snow,
The autumn leaves let the spring rains know
Just how much I need your love
And if I knew that my time was near,
And you were there,
I would have no fear
Your name would be my dying prayer
Its not too late
To turn this ship around
To sail into the wind my love
Before we run aground
Its not too late
To say that I love you
And its not too late for you, my love
To say you love me too
(its not too late)
If I was a rich mans son
I would work till the day was done
Just to prove my love was true
I would take you for my wife
And I would love you all my life
And I would never leave or be untrue
Its not too late
To turn this ship around
To sail into the wind my love
Before we run aground
Its not too late
To say that I love you
And its not too late for you, my love
To say you love me too
(its not too late)
You know our future and your feelings
And the love that I have for you
Theyre always in my heart and on my mind
A never ending love affair
Well go together everywhere
Our love will last till the end of time
You know our future and your feelings
And the love that I have for you
Theyre always in my heart, theyre on my mind
A never ending love affair
Well go together everywhere
Our love will last till the end of time
Its not too late
To turn this ship around
To sail into the wind my love
Before we run aground
Its not too late
To say that I love you
And its not too late for you, my love
To say you love me too
(its not too late)
Its not too late
To turn this ship around
To sail into the wind my love
Before we run aground
Its not too late
To say that I love you
And its not too late for you, my love
To say you love me too
(its not too late)
Its not too late (its not too late)

Its not too late to turn this ship around

Its Late
Scene 1
You say you love me
And I hardly know your name
And if I say I love you in the candle light
Theres no one but myself to blame
But theres something inside
Thats turning my mind away
Oh how I could love you
If I could let you stay
Chorus
Its late - and Im bleeding deep inside
Its late - is it just my sickly pride
Too late - even now the feeling seems to slip away
So late - though Im crying I cant help but hear you say
Its late its late its late
But not too late
Scene 2
The way you love me
Is the sweetest love around
But after all this time
The more Im trying
The more I seem to let you down
Now you tell me youre leaving
And I just cant believe its true
Oh you know that I can love you
Though you know I cant be true

Summer Romance
summer romance
the ever lasting moments
seeing you happy
fills my heart with joy
with the sun shining down on us
like nothing's there but the summer romance
all the wind and the waves
when we picked out our faves
the flower smell
sweet and small
i found what ive been searching for at last
its called summer romance
the sun shines so bright
when you told me this was right
with you in my arms
when we took a picture of the farms
in a flower we saw a bee
and told me that i will see
that tomorrow is a bright day
in so many kind of ways
so this is summer romance
ever lasting moments
being with you
its just that ill always love you

Im movin Im feeling like Im rollin on my own (what could be better)
Then somewhere drivin my car the radio turn it on (what could be better)
I check around in traffic from my point of view (what could be better)
Then I saw her in the mirror

I couldnt stop starin at her she didnt realize (what could be better)
Then looked up in the mirror smile on her faace
There she goes heaven knows

Halfdan Kjerulf
Winter had sought his life's tree to o'erthrow,
Youthful and strong. But his blood's vernal flow
Saved it from death through the cold and the maiming;
Late in the summer bright flowers were flaming,
Late in the autumn they swelled to completeness,-
Fruits that were few, but of fragrance and sweetness.
Poets received them to endless seed-sowing,
Where for his folk endless summer is glowing,-
While more and more,
Stricken he hung o'er the death-river's shore,
Fighting in weakness the winter abhorred,
Fighting for summer, the singer's reward,
Fighting while failing, with modesty rare,
Soon but in prayer.
Summer received him! He now is victorious!
Now, while they harvest the yellowing corn,
Now, while the hills hear the notes of the horn,
He
enters glorious.
Mirrored in him is true poetry's force,
Marked by our winter, in summer its source.
E'en as the air with its quivering sheen,
Leaves of the forests and red peaks serene,
Waters that wander 'mid meadows delaying
Sound with the music the sunshine is playing,-
Poetry also shall leap with new life,
If it, though failing, is faithful in strife:-
Leap from death's thronging:-
Soon comes the summer with summer's pure longing.

It's raining again
what a difference from the other week
when we were basking in hot sunshine
people were laying down on beaches
enjoying barbecues and bottles of wine.
But now all it does is pour with rain
so instead of flip flops it's wellies
people are walking about with umbrellas
or staying indoors glued to their telly's.
Early summer tans are slowly fading away
as the heating gets turned back on again
families who decided to holiday in England
now wish they'd booked to go away to Spain.
But the British weather is so unpredictable
and it has a habit of making us look like a fool
because we go out dressed like we're in Barbados
then get a good soaking and we forgot to pack a cagoule!

Summers Love
Flowing breezes with gentle heat
Fragrant flowers scents so sweet
Blinding sunshine from up above
Spring romance now summer love
Bathers search for the perfect sun
As summer season has now begun
Golden bodies on the sandy beach
A summer love within their reach
The song of summer is on the air
As heartbeats join as one to share
With fiery lips they so gently kiss
Sharing a moment of loving bliss
As darkness falls upon the shore
Their feelings deepen ever more
With starlight falling from above
They lose each other in summer love.
“closing thought”
Share the love you have to give
And love the life you choose to live

Sunshine
Sunshine, you may find my window
But you wont find me
And sunshine, Ive got my friend of darkness here
Tonight to hide me.
So sunshine, as far as Im concerned
Im where I want to be
And sunshine, as far as youre concerned
Dont be concerned for me.
'Cause she doesnt love me anymore
She doesnt want me, Lord
She doesnt need me anymore
She grew tired of chasing rainbows
But I loved her true
And God you know I tried.
And I guess she was right
'Cause Im at the end
I found the part but theres no golden sun.
So sunshine, cant you see Im not alone
Dont bother me
And sunshine, pick up your dawn
And move on down the street...

Sunshine Summer Day
Sunshine summer day
Everything is glowing
Life seems so okay
In every footstep on going
Dreams of your heart
In a breathtaking singing
From fresh morning start
That now daybreak’s bringing
Have a wonderful day
In your way and time
As the hours on play
One by one to their prime
There is nothing wrong
When thoughts are freshly new
In a summer time song
When I´m in love with you
Sunshine summer day
As my feeling are burning
In a wonderful way
With a heart that´s yearning
