Mary And Joseph: A Story Of Love
Joseph was born, Mary was born, each lived their lives on Earth...
A world some thought of as forlorn, yet God preserved its worth...
These children grew to adult age, betrothed and to be wed
And yet before the marriage stage, God intervened instead...
Thus Mary heard about her son, the Saviour yet to be,
The One called Jesus who has done so much on Calvary...
She learnt that she, a chosen maid, was now so highly blessed
And thus God humbly she obeyed, for He knew what was best...
Yes, God chose her and Joseph, too, because their hearts combined
With love forever good and true, the best that He could find...
Thus two young people lived their lives, God's secret Son to guide,
Unlike the husbands and the wives, in houses side-by-side...
Imagine them with Jesus there, the babe, the child, the man,
The prophet who would kneel in prayer to daily learn God's plan.
Good Shepherd, yet the Lamb of God, the Prince of Peace and more,
The King of Calvary whose Blood was destined there to pour...
To think that Mary saw Him live, to think she saw Him die,
To think for us His life would give, though centuries passed by...
I tell you this, of all we know on Earth or Heaven above,
Mary and Joseph and Jesus show this wondrous thing called love...

Mary, Mother Of Jesus
In Roman times, when swords were raised,
And peace on Earth was rare,
There lived a girl now highly praised,
A girl beyond compare...
Her name was Mary, Joseph's love,
Betrothed, untouched by Man...
Who met an angel from above
Who then revealed God's plan!
'Young maiden, you are full of grace!
The Lord chose you of all!
You shall conceive and then embrace
The child that God must call!
He shall be king and rightly so,
Begotten of the Lord!
And blessed is he, God's Son to know...
So, Mary, be assured! '
God's Son was born as prophesied!
To Mary, here on Earth...
In time, she saw Him crucified!
Esteemed not for His worth!
Her heart was broken just like His!
She held his mortal frame!
And neath her tears, a final kiss
As she whispered His name...
Her heart was numbed just like her soul...
With trembling hands she prayed...
Although she knew God kept control,
Her spirit was dismayed!
With trembling lips she sought His peace,
Like none on Earth before!
In hopes her faith would thus release
A miracle and more!
When Jesus left His tomb of death,
The sun was rising, too...
The Saviour savoured God's new breath
And knew what He must do...
'With God, all things are possible!
Forgiveness, born of faith! '
Such is the Gospel preached by Paul
To those whom God would save...

Mary Mary Magdalene
Mary Mary Magdalene,
what do all those stories mean?
Mary, Mary, is it true,
Jesus had a thing for you?
Mary, Mary – He lay with you?
Mary, Mary, tell me true
Mary, Mary, red hair wild,
did He leave you great with child?
Mary, was your love so steady,
that you had had His kids already?
Mary, Mary, at the Cross,
did it feel a gain or loss?
Mary, Mary – on that third day,
what was it like with the stone rolled away?
Mary, Mary, running there with love,
what did you think when He rose above?
Mary, Mary – what was it like, after?
Were there tears or joyful laughter?
Mary, Mary – the kids you had –
did they turn out like their Dad?
Mary, Mary, whore redeemed,
did it work out like you dreamed?
Mary, Mary – your afterlife –
was it mostly love, or mostly strife?
Mary, Mary, were you worshipped or despised
As Mary’s daughter-in-law, Mrs. Christ?
Mary, Mary, did you stay,
or feel you had to take the kids away?
Mary, Mary, with so much love,
did you, too, rise to heaven above?
Mary, Mary, in the sky,
all we ask are the reasons why…
Mary, Mary Magdalene,
What is really true? What does it really mean?

Assurance From God
The Lord with a promise to fulfill, would send His Eternal Son to Israel,
To save His people from their sin, when the baby Jesus would enter in,
Sending Him into that tiny nation, as Messiah delivering their salvation,
A prophecy from back in Paradise, pointing all people to Jesus Christ.
God’s perfect plan was prophesied, with the child found in virgin bride,
Whom the Holy Spirit conceived, that Mary and Joseph, both received,
When God assured Joseph that day, so that he did not put Mary away,
Then Joseph, being a righteous man, believed and obeyed God’s Plan.
And taking Mary home as his wife, he displayed a faithful obedient life,
Together they’d raise God’s Son, who would be the Savior of everyone.
And with Immanuel now with us, in God all peoples can place their trust,
To live a life of faith through Grace, this no matter what in life men face.
That little baby born in Bethlehem, would become the Savior of all men,
Growing up in the town of Nazareth, He would become God’s Ideal Gift.
Sent down to deliver not only the Jew, but all the believing Gentiles too,
And through our faith as we believe, God’s sustaining Grace we receive.
Now, given Joseph’s Faith illustration, when we accept God’s Salvation,
God gives assurance to each man, who walks in faith pursuing His plan,
So through faith accept Jesus Christ, to see what God does in your life,
Whether you’re a Gentile or Jew, display faith and see what God will do.

He Came As A Man
JESUS came to me when I called his name
He didn’t come seeking fortune or fame.
He came because his father sent him to save mankind
To cure the sick, give sight to the blind.
To build hope and faith where there was none
So he sent his beloved son.
His son was given to the ones who
Would love him the best, and put
JOSEPH through a rigorous test.
He told JOSEPH that MARY would
Be the one to carry his glorious son
And JOSEPH said: “thy will be done.”
JESUS was then born in a manger
In a town full of strangers.
He grew and became a very strong man
And he preached throughout the land.
His words, his wisdom, his sacrifice
On the cross, - was not made to be lost.
He still reigns in the hearts of man
Every time they take his stand.
He is our light, our guiding star
I will follow him no matter how far.

Mary's Boy Child
Mary's boy child Jesus Christ, was born on Christmas Day.
And man will live for evermore, because of Christmas Day.
Long time ago in Bethlehem, so the Holy Bible said,
Mary's boy child Jesus Christ, was born on Christmas Day.
Hark, now hear the angels sing, a king was born today,
And man will live for evermore, because of Christmas Day.
Mary's boy child Jesus Christ, was born on Christmas Day.
While shepherds watch their flocks by night,
they see a bright new shining star,
they hear a choir sing a song, the music seemed to come from afar.
Hark, now hear the angels sing, a king was born today,
And man will live for evermore, because of Christmas Day.
For a moment the world was aglow, all the bells rang out
there were tears of joy and laughter, people shouted
"let everyone know, there is hope for all to find peace".
Now Joseph and his wife, Mary, came to Bethlehem that night,
they found no place to bear her child, not a single room was in sight.
And then they found a little nook in a stable all forlorn,
and in a manger cold and dark, Mary's little boy was born.
Hark, now hear the angels sing, a king was born today,
And man will live for evermore, because of Christmas Day.
Mary's boy child Jesus Christ, was born on Christmas Day.
Oh a moment still worth was a glow, all the bells rang out
there were tears of joy and laughter, people shouted
"let everyone know, there is hope for all to find peace".
Oh My Lord
Oh my Lord
You sent your son to save us
Oh my Lord
Your very self you gave us
Oh my Lord
That sin may not enslave us
And love may reign once more
Oh my Lord
when in the crib they found him
Oh my Lord
A golden halo crowned him
Oh my Lord
They gathered all around him
To see him and adore
(This day will live forever)
Oh my Lord (So praise the Lord)
They had become to doubt you
Oh my Lord (He is the truth forever)
What did they know about you
Oh my Lord (So praise the Lord)
But they were lost without you
They needed you so bad (His light is shining on us)
Oh my Lord (So praise the Lord)
with the child's adoration
Oh my lord (He is a personation)
There came great jubilation
Oh my Lord (So praise the Lord)
And full of admiration
They realized what they had (until the sun falls from the sky)
Oh my Lord (Oh praise the Lord)
You sent your son to save us
Oh my Lord (This day will live forever)
Your very self you gave us
Oh my Lord (So praise the Lord)
That sin may not enslave us
And love may reign once more

The First Christmas
The love of God was born on earth
In Bethlehem’s outskirts;
When baby boy and new-born king
In manger, had just cried;
Among the hay, swaddled in clothes,
Amidst some animals,
As mother Mary prayed beside,
With father Saint Joseph.
And thus, was born the first Christmas,
That brought joy to the world;
The babe was to be called Jesus,
And die upon the cross,
For all mankind to gain heaven
By redemption of men;
Oh, what a lovely day it was,
The first Christmas on earth!

A Special Child Is Born
He was a very special child, who was born in a very miraculous way,
He was born of a virgin on what was otherwise a very ordinary day.
For He was conceived by The Holy Spirit inside his mother's womb,
He was then born in a manger, because in the inn there was no room.
However, He was born a King and would become the Savior of us all,
This was not very obvious, as He was born among animals in a stall.
This was very humble beginning for the creator of the entire world,
Yet He brought a message of peace and hope for all of us to herald.
God spoke first to his mother Mary about the child she did conceive,
You shall give him the name Jesus and many in Israel will believe.
God spoke next to Joseph about the child Mary suddenly found within,
His name shall be Jesus for He will save His people from their sin.
And one day this little child who many people will come to adore,
Won't be lying in a manger, but be on David's throne forevermore.
The night that He was born the sky was filled with an awesome light,
And fear fell over shepherds who were watching their sheep at night.
It was an angel saying fear not, as I bring you good news to herald,
In the City of David a child has been born the Savior of the world.
Today Jesus who died and was raised to The Father's side in Glory,
Waits with Salvation for all who believe it's more than just a story.

Christmas 2011
There’s no room in the inn tonight!
But Mary needs some place;
’Tis time for Jesus to be born;
Joseph wears vexed a face!
And Lo! They get the stable just;
The hay becomes the bed,
Where baby Jesus born is placed,
Swaddled in clothes to head!
An angel choir then brings shepherds,
Who sat around a fire;
With trumpets’ sound, good news is told,
With words played on lyre!
The Star of Bethlehem then stops,
Atop the inn for Kings;
Three Magi enter to worship
Boy Christ, the ‘King of Kings! ’
The Son of God is become flesh
In Mary’s womb on earth;
The love of God is born a man:
Emmanuel brings earth, mirth!
On Christmas Day, a Savior’s born,
In pitiable, a state;
He came to earth to save sinners,
And take to Heaven’s gate!

Song in Honor of BVM on Her Birthday (Sept.8th)
Baby Mary born today,
Of Joachim and of Anne;
Chosen by God long ago
To Mother Jesus Christ Lord.
Blessed Virgin Mary dear,
Who found favor in God’s heart;
Mediatrix for mankind;
Pray for us to earn God’s grace!
Holy Mary, God’s Mother;
Queen of heaven forever;
Pure of heart, immaculate
Conception who bore Jesus.
Hail O Mary, clad in grace;
Crushed the Serpent’s head and face!
Help me pray more rosaries
For the souls in purgatory.
Give us health of body, mind;
Help us keep soul in pure state;
Guide us lead a holy life;
And avoid sin and all strife!
Speak O Mary to Jesus;
Help us win against Satan;
Save us from the fire of hell;
Show the way to God’s abode.

He Is Alive!
Though they called me Doubting Thomas,
I know Lord Jesus lives!
I know Lord Jesus died for us
And, through Him, God forgives!
The Lamb of God was sacrificed,
God's utmost love to show...
I tell you, Jesus is the Christ,
For this truth you must know...
While some were there when Jesus died,
As witnesses on Earth,
In Heaven, Christ is glorified,
God's angels know His worth...
They magnify His Holy Name
With praises evermore,
For life will never be the same
For Mankind, to be sure...
In truth, He is alive! Amen!
God's Holy King and Priest,
Returning soon, we know not when,
Like lightning, west-to-east!
His miracles are with us here
To help to save the Jews,
So hearts and minds are crystal clear,
Believing God's Good News!
What wondrous grace, love undeserved,
No pardon could we buy,
Yet from His Tomb, Christ was unearthed,
With power from on high!
What greater proof of love than this?
Forgiveness here and now...
Eternal Life! Eternal bliss!
No wonder angels bow!
The Gentiles, too, are grafted in,
United in God's Tree,
Such that God pardons every sin
Because of Calvary!
The sinless Saviour paid the price
That none on Earth could pay,
His Blood should make us all think twice,
For all have gone astray...
He is alive! Amen! Sweet Lord!
The prophecies outlined
What never should have been ignored,
If wisdom we would find...
Messiah! Thank You! Yes, indeed!
Your courage means so much...
Life offered in the Blood You bleed,
Love in Your healing touch...
From age-to-age, Christ's truths bring hope,
To both the young and old,
To strengthen us, to help us cope,
As sheep within His fold...
For we are His and not our own,
He makes us all complete...
Good Shepherd, lead us to God's Throne,
His wondrous Mercy Seat...

Mary, Mary
Words and music by michael nesmith
Mary, mary, where you goin to?
Mary, mary, can I go too.
This one thing I will vow ya,
Id rather die than to live without ya.
Mary, mary, where you goin to?
Mary, mary, tell me truly
What did I do to make you leave me.
Whatever it was I didnt mean to,
You know I never would try and hurt ya.
Mary, mary, where you goin to?
What more, mary, can I do
To prove my love is truly yours?
Ive done more now than a clear-thinkin man would do.
Mary, mary, its not over.
Where you go, I will follow.
til I win your love again
And walk beside you,
But until then.
Mary, mary, where you goin to?
Mary, mary, where you goin to?
Mary, where you goin to?
Mary, mary, mary, mary, mary, where you goin to?

The Steps Of Mary
She was truly blessed at a very young age
To carry our lord and was told his name.
He will be called Jesus and bring salvation to the world
Stories of his birth will be told to every boy and girl.
They will praise his holy name
And their lives will forever change.
When Joseph found out that his
betrothed was with child, and that it wasn’t his.
He decided a quite divorce he would give.
But an angel came to him that night
And told him that it was the son of god
That she would bear.
And to wipe away all his fears.
His faith and belief so strong in god
And what the angel had said
That he put his worries to bed.
She decided to spend some time with
her cousin, who was also with child
Who she had not seen in quite a while.
As she walked into the house
Elizabeth s child kicked with joy
For this was the saviors little boy.
Long before either of their births
The paths had been set, John would
Lead the way, and followers he would get.
He told of the birth of the messiah to all around
As the people listened without making a sound.
He baptized all with water
As this was the lords words and his order.
As Jesus preached throughout the land
Mary watched with a fearful stand.
For she knew in her heart, that this would be
The beginning of man kinds new start.
She knew that her child would be taken away
And to the lord she did pray.
The lord strengthened her heart and her faith
For what was to come, for he was sent down
By his father “ his begotten son”.
The times that lied ahead
Of her fears she would overcome.
And let gods will be done.
Now! No one knew the heartache and pain
That Mary and Joseph would go thru
To see their earthly son tortured and to be put to death
This was the part that they did regret.
But their faith so strong in god above
That they would give up the child that they loved.
Mother Mary ! You had traveled the road
That god had set for you
And this is something that we all must do.
The difference is that we must travel this road
With blind faith, for in our lives, we can not wait.
Give us the strength that god bestowed upon you
So that in our lives we can follow thru.

X’mas
Born was a child in a manger;
Born was the son of God, the Father;
Born was the love of the Maker;
Born was for men, a Redeemer.
Born was a baby boy, a king;
Born was on earth a prophet great;
Born was the love of God in human form;
Born was a Messiah.
Born was a son of a carpenter;
Born was the king of Jews;
Born was the living God as flesh;
Born was a Savior.
Born was a babe, who brought,
Joy and peace to the world;
Born was a babe on a bed of hay,
As angels choirs kept singing on.
Born was the spotless Lamb of God
Who was to die on the cross;
Born was a divine child,
From the Virgin Mary’s womb!
Born was Lord Jesus Christ,
Who paid the price for our sins,
And by His death and resurrection,
Made it possible for sinners too,
To go to Heaven.

R Mornings
Arm-in-arm with Jesus Christ,
That's how we're meant to live.
Arm-in-arm and highly prized,
For He's the One we're with...
No other Lord is good enough,
No other King's supreme...
Lord Jesus is the King of Love,
Together, we're a team!
Arm-in-arm, no more apart,
No laws to bind us still,
Not since that time they pierced Christ's heart
Upon that holy hill...
Lord Jesus went to Calvary
Man's sins to take away...
That's why for all eternity
We'll have no sins to pay...
Arm-in-arm and side-by-side,
United all the time,
For only Jesus turned the tide
That makes this life sublime...
To think, God wants the world to know
Forgiveness here and now,
Such that true love can overflow
Each time we kneel and bow...
Arm-in-arm and Spirit-led,
No more to live alone
And through the Bible, Spirit-fed
By Scriptures we can own...
God's promises and prophecies
And precious love on Earth...
What more is there to life than these
That has eternal worth?

Mary Had A Little Lamb
Mary had a little lamb
One holy morning
'Neath the star of Bethlehem
A brand new day was forming
Guided by the shining light
And the angel's voice
Wise men traveled through the night
To see the baby boy
'Cause Mary had a little lamb
King of kings and son of man
Mary had a little lamb of God
They gathered 'round to see the lamb
In the manger sleeping
Such a humble throne for Him
The promise God was keeping
There the shepards bowed their heads
Among the cattle lowing
The first ever Christmas gift
Was wrapped in swaddling clothes
Mary had a little lamb
King of kings and son of man
Mary had a little lamb of God
For the world a sacrifice
Mary did give birth
The way she held him in her arms
Is how He holds the earth
Mary had a little lamb
King of kings and son of man
Mary had a little lamb of God
Mary had a little lamb
King of kings and son of man
Mary had a little lamb of God
Oh, Mary had a little lamb
King of kings and son of man
Mary had a little lamb of God

O Jesus
O Jesus, peace be upon him, the one who was the Word of God…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, who came and was always in the Thoughts of God…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, he who was born of the Virgin Mary…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, and peace be upon his mother Mary…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, the one who the Holy Spirit of God was given…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, the one who in the name of God, casted out demons…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, the one they said slanderous things about…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, the one they tried to blot out…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, who came and was sinless…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, who came to the temple and became relentless…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, who came to the Israelites to teach them the Gospel…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, who came and did things that were impossible…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, he who is the Prophet and Christ…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, he who the Scriptures prophesised…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, he who Almighty God raised up…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, he who Almighty God will send back and amaze us.

Happy Birthday Jesus (I'll Open This One For You)
(I'll Open This One For You)
(Arranged by Reba McEntire)
Now kids hang on just a second before we start
You know there's a reason we are all here in front of Grandma and
Grandpa's
Christmas tree
And if Trevor and E.P. would quit fighting long enough and be real
quiet
This little song might help ya understand
Long ago in a stable there was a baby being born
His parents were Joseph and Mary
And Joseph's big ole heart was torn
Cause he couldn't find a decent place for Mary to have her child
But Mary said it just seemed just right and she blessed it with her
smile
Chorus:
Cause what made it special was the baby in her arms
God sent Him down to give the world a second chance for you and I
That's why we have Christmas at this time each year
It's the baby's birthday party that brings us so much cheer
Now kids the presents that all of you exchange on Christmas
Represents the gifts that baby Jesus received the night he was born
He got all his presents from three wise men
Who followed a star
And walked a long long way to the stable
So everytime you tear open one of your presents
Think about that baby and say
Happy birthday Jesus
I'll open this one for you
Repeat Chorus
OK all together now
Happy Birthday Jesus
I'll open this one just for you

September 8th – Dear Mother Mary’s Birthday!
If not for Mary, would we have Jesus?
If not for Jesus, would we know Mary?
She was a Lady, prophesied truly;
She crushed serpent’s head, through Christ’s birth duly!
Her seed was Jesus, who fought the devil;
He won temptations, and over evil!
Mary was special, chosen by Maker,
To be Heaven’s Queen, God so did make her!
Mary was born of two saints, tells history;
Virgin was sin-free, says Bible story;
Her conception was immaculate, yes!
Generations will forever her, bless!
“Happy Birthday, Dear Mother Mary! ”
We gratefully recite your Rosary.

God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen
God rest you merry, gentlemen,
Let nothing you dismay,
For Jesus Christ our Saviour
Was born upon this day,
To save us all from Satan's power
When we were gone astray.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
For Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.
In Bethlehem in Jury
This blessed babe was born,
And laid within a manger
Upon this blessed morn;
The which his mother Mary
Nothing did take in scorn.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.
From God our Heavenly Father
A blessed Angel came,
And unto certain Shepherds
Brought tidings of the same,
How that in Bethlehem was born
The Son of God by name.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.
Fear not, then said the Angel,
Let nothing you affright,
This day is born a Saviour
Of virtue, power and might;
So frequently to vanquish all
The friends of Satan quite.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.
The Shepherds at those tidings
Rejoiced much in mind,
And left their flocks a feeding
In tempest, storm and wind,
And went to Bethlehem straightway,
This blessed babe to find.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.
But when to Bethlehem they came,
Whereas this infant lay,
They found him in a manger
Where oxen feed on hay,
His mother Mary kneeling
Unto the Lord did pray.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.
Now to the Lord sing praises,
All you within this place,
And with true love and brotherhood
Each other now embrace;
This holy tide of Christmas
All others doth deface.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.

The Gift Of The Maji (Bble Poems for Children)
Three Kings followed a star,
Studying the heavens from
afar.
They knew the king would be
born,
Sometime in the early morn.
In Jeruselem they did meet,
Asked about a baby so
sweet.
They saw a star ever so high,
Above a stable, in the sky.
This is the saviour, born on
earth,
Honor him with gifts and myrrh.
They had a dream from God, that
day,
Go home now, don't delay.
Joseph also had a dream,
God told him of Herod's scheme.
To kill baby Jesus, was his
plight.
Joseph, and Mary escaped at
night.
In Egypt they had to stay,
Until Herod's life had passed
away.
