The Bogeyman
When I was a child, the Bogeyman
Lived in our water tank,
He'd grumble and rumble and growl all night,
I had my sister to thank,
She told me about his giant claws
And the great big teeth he had,
If I couldn't get to the foot of the stairs
He'd be hot on my heels - How sad!
The tank sat next to the toilet seat
In a cupboard, close to a hatch,
It used to spring open and freak me out,
There was something wrong with the catch,
I'd pull on the rusted, clanking chain
And head for the landing, stairs,
If the water had stopped, before I dropped
The Bogeyman would be there!
He was only a second behind me then,
A second of terrors and fears,
The monster that lived in my sister's brain
Has followed me, all these years,
I never could tell my Mother, or Dad,
They never would understand,
My sister said, in a voice of dread -
‘Only kids know the Bogeyman! '
We live in a world of monsters, who
Are waiting to gobble us up,
They follow behind, one second in time,
That second is all that we've got!
They pick off the stragglers, one by one,
They trip us and tear us apart,
If you're old or lame, take your eye from the game,
The monsters will rip out your heart!
So when I heard the Horologists
Were planning to hold back time,
I knew that we were in trouble then:
‘Just a second, ' they said, ‘It's fine! '
‘The earth has wobbled and lost just one,
It takes just one to adjust…'
I hid that night in the attic's height
At the top of the stairs, and cursed!
The whole world wide has been thrust aside
By some atavistic past,
Where the monsters roam outside your home,
And the victims scream when attacked,
I sit and wait for the hand of fate
To rattle my own life's plan,
And steady the gun, ahead of the run
Down the stairs, with the Bogeyman!

There Is A New Door In My House
There is a new 'door' in the little boy's house,
Where there was not one before,
A new 'cat shaped' hole' in the kitchen,
a new 'cat sized' hole in the door.
'But what about locks and bolts? ' the little boy asked,
Tugging at his my mum's loose apron strings.
'To keep out ghosts and scary monsters',
'and all those horrible night time things.'
'We don't need locks' the boy's mum said,
'Its only cats that can get through'.
'But what about 'cat' sized monsters,
or ghosts of that size too? '
'Go to bed now', the boy's mum said,
'What are you worrying for? '
'It's ghosts and scary monsters mum
that would fit nicely through that door? '
He went up the stairs to his room,
And tried to get to sleep,
But was thinking of ghosts and scary monsters,
Not happy jumping sheep.
'Tap, Tap', he woke, that noise (he thought) ,
It came up from the ground floor! ,
A tap, tap, tap, at the cat flap,
A noise from the cat shaped door.
A shiver ran stright down the little boy's spine,
Is it monster or a ghost?
Shaking, he crept straight down the stairs thinking 'what would scare me most? '
He crawled right up to the cat flap,
To see what was at the door,
Was it the ghosts or scary monsters,
The boy was thinking of before?
He peered into the gloom of the flap,
He strained his eyes to see,
'What might it have been that made that Tap, ,
Waiting out there for me? '.
'Tap, Tap... Tap, Tap...
Again, the noise from the flap,
Tap, Tap from the cat sized door,
Two green and bulbous eyes were there,
That were not there before.
The boy sat still, afraid to move,
Chilled straight down to his core,
The eyes began to peer at him,
Straight through the cat shaped door.
Tap.. Tap.., Tap, Tap..
That sound again, just like the tap before.
What if this thing, can fit straight through,
The cat sized and unlocked door?
Slowly, the cat flap began to open,
Sweat rolled off the boy's cold brow,
Those round green eyes were now inside,
When a sound was heard....

Did You Say You Make It On The Stairs?
did i really hear you right?
making love on the stairs
and then the boy
comes surprisingly
asking both of you
what are you both doing
on the stairs
both of you naked
while he pumps
on you
like one ever hungry
lover?
how shameful!
well, okay,
the boy is your son
and the man
is your husband
was the bed broken?
or the stairs
too exciting?
was the marriage
too boring?
well, ok,
i understand,
you split with him
could be the
staggering steps on the stairs
could be that the boy
finally understands
could be that the bed
is not that warm
you split for good
and uhuh?
so you are now free
at last
from those stairs
from the bed
and the boy has to make
the inevitable choice
between pa and ma
the stairs he will always remember
anyhow
yes, the boy not the pa

Makin Monsters For My Friends
Everybody said so man you could see it on t.v.
They stood there ashamed with nowhere to go
Nobody wants them now the kids are alright
Every day is a holiday and pushin people around
Im making monsters for my friends
Im making monsters for my friends
Someone caught one I could see so myself
I had to call 254 so they wouldnt blame me
We wanted to know how much trouble there was
When we asked our daddy he said its just because
Im making monsters for my friends
Im making monsters for my friends
I dont wanna open a can of worms and I dont want any spagetti-os
And I could always tell when someone is holding a grudge
Im making monsters for my friends
Im making monsters for my friends
Im making monsters for my friends
Im making monsters for my friends

Little Sister
Words and music by rick nielsen
Well Ive been around here for way too long
Its really time to go
But theres reasons for my madness
Though it doesnt show
I sit and wait and contemplate what am I gonna say
When the telephone rings I hear her voice
She speaks that special way
Alright now, little sister
Wait all night for the call
Shes alright with me
Shes so hot, shes on fire
Oo little sister
Fills me up with desire
Oo little sister
Sun goes down when she gets up
I dont think I can get enough
Little sister, little sister
Little sister, little sister
Somethings flowing through my veins
What it is I dont know
Its a three alarm fire in my heart
Hope it doesnt show
Call the doctor, call the judge
Justice of the peace
Pluck this flower in full bloom
This relatives no niece
Alright now, little sister
Wait all night for the call
Shes alright with me
Shes so hot, shes on fire
Oo little sister
Fills me up with desire
Oo little sister
Sun goes down when she gets up
I dont think I can get enough
Little sister, little sister
Little sister, little sister
Im at the crossroads waiting for a call
Back against the wall again
But Im not just expecting anyone
When I get the call that says it all
She says yeah (robin, Ill be right over)
Shes so hot, shes on fire
Oo little sister
Fills me up with desire
Oo little sister
Sun goes down when she gets up
I dont think I can get enough
Little sister, little sister
Little sister, little sister
Oo, I like it when you talk dirty to me
Shes so hot, shes on fire
Oo little sister
Fills me up with desire
Oo little sister
Sun goes down when she gets up
I dont think I can get enough
Little sister, little sister
Little sister, little sister

When Evil Comes
I don? like this anymore than you
In fact I? scared
At the top of the stairs in the dark
Throw away all the dreams you had
Slow and broke
And just for you
You were barely there
Hey little girl where? your momma gone
Has she left you scared
At the top of the stairs
In the dark
It? too late for come backs
And I?e been wrong before
Now I need
I need no more
Except for you
Making up the sides
Evil is when evil comes
At the top of the Stairs
At the top of the Stairs
And in the dark
The world won? listen
And it gets this scared
Standing there at the top of the stairs
In the dark
Come on baby
Let? lose this fear
And let? stand here
Where it? always fair
And never dark

I Will Take You Home
Little girl lost
In a forest of dreams.
Its a dark old wood
And its damp with dew.
Hoot owl hoots
For a moment it seems
Something big and cold
Got ahold of you.
Just when everything gets scary,
Daddys come round for his darlin again.
Hold my hand with your little fingers.
Daddys loving arms gonna gather you in.
Aint no way the bogeyman can get you,
You can close your eyes, the world is gonna let you,
Your daddys here and never will forget you,
I will take you home.
I will take you home.
Gonna carry you back home
In my arms.
I will take you home.
Long is the road
We must travel on down.
Short are the legs
That will struggle behind.
I wish I knew for sure
Just where were bound,
What we will be doin
And what were gonna find.
Wherever we go, there will be birds to cheer you
Flowers to color in the fields around.
Wherever we go, Ill be right here near you
You cant get lost when youre always found.
Aint no fog thats thick enough to hide you
Your daddys gonna be right here beside you
If your fears should start to get inside you.
I will take you home.
I will take you home.
Gonna carry you back home
In my arms.
I will take you home.

Now what did I come upstairs for?
Of course I haven’t forgotten your name,
young lady, it’s just that I can’t remember it
Why am I going upstairs?
I only just got up
No dear, you’re wrong,
I always pay on account
Where’s my bed?
Isn’t this upstairs?
Take the paper back
to the newsagent, someone’s
already done the crossword
Of course I’m undressed,
I just came upstairs
Of course you can sign my name dear,
they know me at the post office
Why is it so dark downstairs,
I’ve only just got up
Why should I give you money for the gas,
Young man? I don’t even know you
I’m sure there are more stairs
than there used to be
Stop being so insulting, young man,
it’s only money
No of course I don’t need help with the stairs,
I know my own house
No dear, you sign for it, I’m sure
your boss will understand
Somebody changed the stairs
when I was out, they
aren’t the same
Why are people so rude about
money these days?
Ask my father to speak
to that young man
The stairs are steeper than they were,
somebody’s changed them
Who are you, I didn’t
ask you to come in…
Of course it’s my house,
it’s just that you changed the stairs
Tell the bank manager to
come and see me in the morning.
Why does that man upstairs
move the stairs at night?

The Stairs
(pamela brown, david roberts)
She looks at the clock, its a quarter past nine.
She hears his car as he pulls in the drive.
Dinners still waiting from hours before.
She knows hes been drinking when he walks through the door.
In anger he strikes out and she starts to cry.
How much more can she take, how much more can
She lie.
And she fell down the stairs again.
But it hasnt happened since she dont know when.
Was it in spring when she packed up the kids, or
Maybe in winter with his job on the skids.
Oh but just like before shell have to
Pretend that she fell down the stairs again.
A short time ago, she started
A job, serving chicken fried steak and corn on the cob.
She started out shy, but she ended up sure,
That a ticket to anywhere could be the cure.
But he couldnt handle her change for the better.
She tried to leave him , but he wouldnt let her.
He says hes sorry, hed never mean it.
He swears it wont happen again. but shes so confused,
She wants to believe it. she just wants this nightmare to end.
And she fell down the stair again.
But it hasnt happened since she dont know when.
Was it in spring when she packed up the kids, or
Maybe in winter with his job on the skids.
Oh but just like before shell have to pretend
That she fell down the stairs again.

Sister Midnight
Pop/bowie/alomar
Calling sister midnight
Youve got me reaching for the moon
Calling sister midnight
Youve got me playing the fool
Calling sister midnight
Calling sister midnight
Can you hear me call
Can you hear me well
Can you hear me at all
Calling sister midnight
Im an idiot for you
Calling sister midnight
Im a breakage inside
Calling sister midnight
Calling sister midnight
You know I had a dream last night
Mother was in my bed
And I made love to her
Father he gunned for me
Hunted me with his six gun
Calling sister midnight
What can I do about my dreams
Listen to me sister midnight
You put a beggar in my heart
Calling sister midnight
Youve got me walking in rags
Hey where are you sister midnight
Can you hear me call
Can you hear me well
Can you hear me at all

Peter Pan
He'd buried his head in manuscripts
And books for twenty years,
He'd kept himself to himself had never
Ventured down the stairs,
His meals were brought on a silver tray
His clothes were laundered and pressed,
No callers came to his stately rooms
To invade his hours of rest.
He'd turned his back on the world out there
When young, and his sister went,
His parents left the estate to him
Though most of the money was spent,
He had no interest in state affairs,
No more in the works of man,
Looked rarely out of the windows
Of his mansion, Maison Grande.
He studied the force of nature,
Tempests, storms, tornado files,
Read books on the brontosaurus,
Mammoths, raptors, crocodiles,
The only women he knew of,
Little girls like his sister Ann,
He lived like a boy forever
In his mind, like Peter Pan.
He didn't hear when the Bailiffs
Took his furniture from below,
Cleaned out the candelabra
Caused his silver trays to go,
Ripped up the hallway carpet
Took the Louis the XVI chairs,
And finally came up knocking
When they exhausted the loot downstairs.
He stood in shock when they carried off
His desk of Baltic Pine,
Ripped the books from the shelves and
Took the last of his stock of wine,
He saw the bills he'd neglected when
The cook came up to quit,
Her owed her three months wages and
That was the least of it.
The man from the real estate came up,
A man called Arty Hook,
The name sat deep in his memory
Had he read it in some old book?
The Maison Grande would have to be sold
Could he please vacate it now,
The outside world burst into his head
Ran furrows across his brow.
His sister came to lead him away,
He went confused, like a child,
He didn't know what he'd have to do
But his thoughts were running wild,
There were people here, and people there
Each wanting a piece of him,
But he had nothing to offer them,
The future was looking grim.
Ann had a friend called Wendy who
Came round to see to his needs,
The first real woman he'd seen up close
Since before his early teens,
He noticed the perfume that she wore,
And watched her walk with a sway,
The child that had lived in the Maison Grande
Was slowly drifting away.
He felt her breath caressing his cheek
When she leaned in close to speak,
And sensed the draw of those ruby lips
And the softness of her cheek,
Her body warmth seemed to comfort him
When they sat on the old divan,
‘Til the night she said, in her negligée,
‘It's time to make you a man! '
They called around to the real estate
Next day, and collared Hook,
‘We won't be selling the Maison Grande
You can take it off your book.
For Wendy's paid off the debtors, and
We're planning to move back in,
I remember you, and the crocodile,
You can try but you'll never win! '
He got a job at the Uni with
The knowledge he had in store,
And made his mark as a tutor
Teaching English Literature,
While Wendy used all her talents to
Remodel the Maison Grande,
And he excelled with his students
When he was teaching Peter Pan.

Summer Time Love
I’m sorry, you’re not the girl for me
I know it might be wrong, but I’m in love with your sister
Do you recall when we barbecued at the beach,
Your sister was wearing a swimsuit, she’s so beautiful.
Your sister’s got that angel effect, it can’t be helped
I’m falling to her, I’m losing restrain
I’m sorry, you’re not the girl for me
I know it might be wrong, but I’m in love with your sister
Do you remember when we were at the theater,
Your sister was sitting next to me, she’s so entertaining
Your sister’s got the sunshine effect, it’s so scenic
I can’t get her off my mind, I’m addicted
I’m sorry, you’re not the girl for me
I know it might be wrong, but I’m in love with your sister
Do you remember when I drove your sister to school,
Your sister was in my arms for the first time, she’s so captivating
Your sister and I took off, we didn’t get back till the next day
I’ve fallen for her, I lost all ideals
I’m sorry, you’re not the girl for me
I know it might be wrong, but I’m in love with your sister
Do you remember when I vacationed with your sister,
Your sister was in love with me for the first time, she’s so perfect
Your sister’s got the marry me girl effect, it can’t be rejected
I’m chained to her now, I’m impassive
I know it might’ve been a waste, everything that I aimed for
I’m in love with your sister and It doesn’t matter anymore,
I don’t know how to confess this to you, I don’t care
Can’t you see that you’re just not the girl for me?
It might seem like a temporary fantasy
I know it might be wrong, but I’m in love with your sister

Children's Story (feat. Rahzel)
Kids Voices]
Uncle Whitey, Uncle Whitey, can you tell us a bedtime story?
Yeah, we want some bedtimes stories...(Please!)
[Everlast]
Once upon a time not long ago,
when people wore pajamas and lived life slow
When laws were stern and justice stood,
and people were behavin' like they our too good
There was a little boy who was misled by another lil' boy
and this is what he said
"Me and you, Guy, we gonna make sum cash,
robbin' old folks and makin' the dash"
They did the job, money came with ease,
but one couldn't stop, it's like he had a disease
He robbed another and another and a sister and her brother
Tried to rob a man who was a D.T. undercover,
the cop grabbed his arm, he started acting erratic,
He said, "keep still, boy, no need for static",
punched him in his belly and he gave him a slap
But little did he know the lil' boy was strapped,
the kid pulled out a gun
He said, "Why'd you hit me?",
the barrel headed straight for the cop kidney
The cop got scared, the kid, he starts to figure,
"I'll do years if I pull this trigger"
So he cold dashed, ran around the block,
cop radios in to another lady cop
He ran by a tree, there he saw this sister,
a shot for the head, he shot back but he missed her
Looked around good and from expectations,
so he decided he'd head for the subway stations
But she was coming so he made a left,
he was runnin' top speed till he was outta breath
Knocked an old man down and swore he killed him,
then he made his move to an abandoned building
Ran up the stairs up to the top floor,
opened up the door there, guess who he saw
Dave the dope fiend shootin' dope,
who don't know the meaning of water nor soap,
He said, "I need bullets, hurry up, run",
the dope fiend brought back a spanking shotgun
He went outside but there was cops all over,
then he dipped into a car, was a stolen Nova
Raced up the block doing 83, crashed into a tree near university,
Escaped alive though the car was battered,
rat-a-tat-tatted and all the cops scattered
Ran out of bullets but still had static,
grabbed a pregnant lady and out the automatic
Pointed at her head and he said the gun was full of lead
He told the cops, "back off or honey here's dead",
deep in his heart he knew he was wrong
so he let the lady go and he starts to move on,
sirens sounded, he seemed astounded
Before long the lil' boy got surrounded,
he dropped the gun, so went the glory
And this is the way I gotta end this story,
he was only nineteen, in a madman's dream
I saw the cops shoot the kid, I still hear him scream,
this ain't funny so don't you dare laugh
Just another case 'bout the wrong path,
straight and narrow or your soul gets cashed
G'night

Dilema Of Going Home
Two decades now
Have I lived in America
And my mother
Calling from far away Africa,
Also my little sister
She propably was told of America
They all weap in my
dreams these days,
They want me back in Africa
To build the threshold of my father
That is far gone in decadence.
.
Home, I am coming home
To see my mothers face again
And my little sister Franscisca
She must be a woman by now.
But tell me brothers;
How could I ever go back to Africa
When I yet do not have wings for flight?
.
What would I say to the hungry
eyes of my mother, my sister?
What would I say to friends I left
behind my Africa ten years ago?
What would I say when they asked:
What have you brought for old
buddies you left behind ten years ago.
.
Ten years is long enough time
to be away from home,
And yet have nothing to show
for the labours.

Long Wait To Hug You Oh Sister!
COME OH SISTER!
LET'S PLAY
YOU CAN'T FEEL
HOW LONG I WAIT
I LEARNED
WHAT DESPERATE IS
JUST TO SEE YOUR
FACE
HOW IT WILL
GIVE A FEEL
WHEN I WILL TOUCH YOUR
SMALL FINGERS WITH ZEAL
SHE IS MY SISTER
I WILL SCREAM
AND HUG YOU
AND CLOSE MY EYELIDS
AND WHEN WE
WILL RUN TOGETHER
IN THE FIELDS
WITH HAND IN HANDS
THE WORLD WILL SEE
THE BOND
BETWEEN US
ITS ALL I WISH
LONG WAIT
LONG WAIT TO HOLD YOU OH SISTER!
STILL I WAIT
LONG WAIT TO HOLD YOU SISTER..

The Four Elements 'Baci Ruh'
All our lives we had lived apart
separated by time - by sea by land.
How can I sleep at night
if night is your day?
I ponder the far fields
that you walk upon your way.
In southern height of summer
I feel the northern winter frost
a blizzard rages, in torment
without the meltem, this soul; is lost.
Joy is to sit beside you
joy is to hold your hand
joy is to see you smile
in your native land.
I’ll speak your name by moonlight
I speak your name by day.
When the time draws near
so swift I’ll fly to stay.
Say goodbye say goodbye
how could we say goodbye?
Wherever I go you go with me
through water earth and sky.

Sisters Of The Moon
Written by stevie nicks.
Intense silence
As she walked in the room
Her black robes trailing
Sister of the moon
And a black widow spider makes
More sound than she
And black moons in those eyes of hers
Made more sense to me
Heavy persuasion
It was hard to breathe
She was dark at the top of the stairs
And she called to me
And so I followed
As friends often do
I cared not for love, nor money
I think she knew
The people, they love her
And still they are the most cruel
She asked me
Be my sister, sister of the moon
Some call her sister of the moon
Some say illusions are her game
Wrap her in velvet
Does anyone, ah, know her name
So we make our choices
When there is no choice
And we listen to their voices
Ignoring our own voice
