He Who Hesitates
I knew it was love when I first saw your face
you were younger by far, but that’s no disgrace.
When we were introduced I could see in your eyes
that you felt the same; what a great surprise.
Our respective partners were also in this uncrowded room,
so we couldn’t make a date, besides it was much too soon.
Discreetly we smiled for the next two hours or so
and your eyes told me that we had further to go.
At the end of the evening we said a polite goodnight,
but deep inside we felt that this wasn’t right.
Our paths didn’t cross again for quite a long time,
but the instant our eyes met I knew you were mine.
With butterflies in my stomach and I felt excited inside,
your eyes and smile told me that we soon had to decide.
But nothing was planned for we dared not take the chance
on breaking our partners hearts for an uncertain romance.
Whenever we saw each other our feelings were still there

Today I know for sure...
I also know the reason why
The rain falls from above -
I believe the heavenly sky
Once fell and lost in love...
That's why dark clouds must first appear
Before the thunder storm
And why each raindrop's like a tear
The sky was forced to form...
Love tends to promise everything
Yet takes it all away!
At first it makes you want to sing
Then fills you with dismay!
No wonder, then, the sky is blue
Then sometimes black as night!
For love tempts Man then says, 'Adieu! '
Then laughs with all its might!

Ode To An Angel
She may well be an angel
This girl so close to my heart
One who I find so beautiful
That I am unable to sleep
My thoughts are of her beauty
How it surpasses everything
She has a loving heart
And seems to give so much
When I hear she is hurting
It almost breaks my heart
When I see her smile or laugh
I am filled with such a joy
I must love her in such a way
That it defies all reason
I long to hold her in my arms
Brush back her hair softly
To kiss her lips with a passion
And tenderness of the heart
She must be an angel I swear
To be as closely woven to my heart
As any girl could ever be

Storm Clouds
I sat at the window
near the edge of sunset
watched the storm clouds roll by.
I wondered what would happen
during the evening tide
with those storm clouds.
Will they bring forth wind and rain?
Will the raindrops dance
and tap at my windowpane.
However, those storms clouds
just kept on rolling by.
With a sigh of relief,
I could see there
will be no storm tonight.
