This Mirror Is Wide
We say that we are free and that never alone we stand
What is this moment we wish for?
The ever present moment of rebirth
Into the next and remembering the past
We laugh and we cry and we ask not why
The sky is never green but here stood on emerald giants nose
We may forget the plastic finger pose
Forget the ribbons and flower shows
And come to live again.
Know yourself your secret game
Know yourself your secret name
Ask yourself of what you know
Ask yourself of where to go
Think of life in circles fast
For all the things will never last
Pyramids to salt
Ghost dust thrones
Megalithic construct
Kingdom of bones
Rise in light and find a new
The person that you thought you knew
The person who would greet you
In every mirrors show
This mirror is wide
This mirror is long
This story is short
And better as song
Sing for the life you wish to know
Sing for the devil who sleeps on your pillow
Sing for the dawn and sing for the dusk
Sing for the love in which you trust

I Sing
I sing to vent the pain that is sometimes in me
Other times I sing of happiness, jubilation and glee
Sometimes I sing in celebration and can rock out all night long
I sing of love through every ballad and heart wrenching love song
Sometimes I sing a song that is trapped inside my head
I sing it all day long, sometimes until I go to bed
I sing of memories, songs that mark pages in my past
I sing on holidays, great carols that last and last and last
I sing when I am working, then time doesn’t seem so long
I sing when I am lonely, there’s nothing like the comfort of a song
To me, to sing with all my voice is simply a blast
I hope to sing everyday of my life until I breathe my last

Sing a Song Mother!
Sing a song Mother, sing again
for your daughter now grown
but sing again that lullaby
for her to sleep a while
Sing a song Mother, sing
again and caress her
sing for her and sooth
away her worries.....
Sing a song Mother, with
love and care
sing again that melody
to warm her heart...
Sing a song Mother, hold her tight
and sing again from your love
sing for her she needs only you
and sing for her to smile..
Sing a song Mother, sing again
for your daughter
sing again until she sleeps
on your loving lap...

Sing Something That's Happy
Do not sing me a song that will bring me to tears
That will make me nostalgic for the long gone years
My prime years of life I don't wish to recall
Sing something that's happy or nothing at all
Though few things in life ever does seem to last
The past has gone forever why sing of the past
To the father of time we are destined to bow
But I want to be happy and live in the now
In a decade from now I will be an old man
But I want to be happy for as long as I can
Sing something that's joyful and merry and light
I do want to laugh and be happy tonight
The sweet sound of laughter is a joyous thing
Do sing something that's happy if you wish to sing.

Distant Camera
The flash from a distant camera
Reconnecting thoughts and actions
Fragments of our missing dream
Pieces from here and there
Fall in place along the line
Disappearing between you and me
Life is changing everywhere I go
New things and old both disappear
If life is a photograph fading in the mirror
All I want is a song of love
Song of love to sing for you
All I need is this song of love
To sing for you.
On the floor where daylight dances
With the ones that missed their chances
When they couldnt let it show
Lies the land of sweet surrender
Like a dream it might have ended there
But we didnt even know
Now forever we will live as one,
Floating in loves atmosphere
If love is a piece of dust shining in the sun,
All I want is a song of love
Song of love to sing to you
All I need is this song for love
To sing for you
Song of love
Song of love

Sing To Me
Sing to me! Something of sunlight and bloom,
I am so compassed with sorrow and gloom,
I am so sick with the world’s noisse and strife, -
Sing of the beauty and brightness of life –
Sing to me, sing to me!
Sing to me! Something that’s jubilant, glad!
I am so weary, my soul so sad.
All my earth riches are covered with rust,
All my bright dreams are but ashes and dust.
Sing to me, sing to me!
Sing og the blossoms that open in spring,
How the sweet flowers blow, and the long lichens cling,
Say, though the winter is round about me,
There are bright summers and springs yet to be.
Sing to me, sing to me!
Sing me a song full of hope and of truth,
Brimming with all the sweet fancies of youth!
Say, though my sorrow I may not forget,
I have not quite done with happiness yet.
Sing to me, sing to me!
Lay your soft fingers just here, on my cheek;
Turn the light lower – there- no, do not speak,
But sing! My heart thrills at your beautiful voice;
Sing till I turn from my grief and rejoice.
Sing to me, sing to me!

Sing Your Life
Sing your life
Any fool can think of words that rhyme
Many others do
Why dont you ?
Do you want to ?
Oh...
Sing your life
Walk right up to the microphone
And name
All the things you love
All the things that you loathe
Oh, sing your life
The things that you love
And the things you loathe
Oh, sing your life
Oh, sing your life
La, la-la, la-la, sing your life
La, la-la, la-la, sing your life
Others sang your life
But now is a chance to shine
And have the pleasure of
Saying what you mean
Have the pleasure of
Meaning what you sing
Oh, make no mistake my friend
All of this will end
So sing it now (sing your life)
All the things you love (sing your life)
All the things you loathe
Oh, sing your life
The things that you love
And the things you loathe (sing your life)
Oh, sing oh...
Oh, sing oh...
La, la-la, la-la, sing your life
La, la-la, la-la, sing your life
Dont leave it all unsaid
Somewhere in the wasteland of your head, oh
Head, oh, head, oh, head, oh
And make no mistake, my friend
Your pointless life will end
But before you go
Can you look at the truth ?
You have a lovely singing voice
A lovely singing voice
And all of those
Who sing on-key
They stole the notion
From you and me
So, sing your life (sing your life)
Sing your life (sing your life)
Oh, sing your oh...
Oh, sing your
Sing your life
Sing your life
Sing your life
Oh, sing your oh...
(sing your life)
(sing your life)
Sing your life
(sing your life)

Sing Your Song
Around and around we go
singing our song sweet and low,
our song of love,
and our song of life.
You choose what
you want to hear
springs eternal life
deaths eternal damnation
loves summer song
or winters heartache pose.
This life is yours
sing what you may.
Come sun and sprinkling shower
you can give a tune to everything
no matter what the hour.
Sing your song
to your hearts content
of loves ballad or deaths lament.
Sing your song to be heard
from highest hill to evening flower,
sing it high, sing it low,
but sing it anyway,
for life is for singing
the praises of being here.

Dream On (live, MTVIcon)
Every time that I look in the mirror
All these lines in my face gettin' clearer
The past is gone;
It went by like dusk to dawn
Isn't that the way?
Everybody's got their dues in life to pay
I know nobody knows
Where it comes and where it goes
I know it's everybody's sin;
You got to lose to know how to win.
Half my life's in books' written pages,
Live and learn from fools and from sages
You know it's true,
All the feelings
Come back to you.
Sing with me,
Sing for the year,
Sing for the laughter and sing for the tear.
Sing it with me
If it's just for today,
Maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away.
(aaaaaaaaa...)
Sing with me,
Sing for the year,
Sing for the laughter and sing for the tear.
Sing it with me
If it's just for today,
Maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away.
(come on )
Dream on, dream on, dream on,
Dream yourself a dream come true.
Dream on, dream on, dream on,
Dream until your dream comes true.
Dream on, Dream on, Dream on,
Dream, Dream ,Dream come true
Dream on, Dream on, Dream on, Dream on
Dream on, Dream on, Dream on (aaa...)

The song I sing
The song I sing
I sing ta u the song I sing is joy
If you were gone then part of me would die
I would go on and leave part of me behind
for you and I are one in twined
I sing ta u the song I sing is faith
But the thought of you would never fade
the thought of blue sky's would turn to haze
I would prefer to help you through this maze
I sing ta u the song I sing is love
your very footsteps are notes to a song
and many loved ones sing a long
and of that chorus I belong

Love Gone Bad
Sing me a song of love...
Sing me a song so sad...
Sing me a song of remembrance...
Sing me a song of love gone bad;
Write the words and the music--
In your own flamboyant sytle-
Accent it with elaborate details--
Fill it with your obvious guile;
Give it a melody thats catchy...
You know-a phrase like refrain...
About loves greatest ecstacy...
About its agony and pain;
And then sing a song of love...
And sing a song so very sad...
Sing me a song to show that you remember...
And sing a song 'bout love gone bad;
Give it all of your verve and elan...
Spice it up with a bit of rhytym and blue...
Make it a song that everyone identifies with...
Make its words right and true;
Make it an anthem...
Or make it a ballad flowing free...
Make sure the words tell it all...
With a most haunting melody;
And then sing a song of love...
Sing me a song of so very sad...
Sing me a song of remembrance...
Sing me a song of love gone bad;

Mr Songbird (from 12 Track Edition)
Won't you sing me a song or two,
Won't take you long to just sing to me please,
Won't you whistle a tune.
I got nothing to gain, I got nothing to lose,
But if you sing me a song,
You'll make me happy [?].
Sing Mr. Songbird,
Sing Mr. Songbird,
Sing Mr. Songbird,
You help to keep my troubles away.
Sing Mr. Songbird,
Sing Mr. Songbird,
Sing Mr. Songbird,
You help to keep my troubles away.
Mister, won't you sing me a song,
Won't you sing a little melody.
Won't you try to help me along,
Won't you sing a little song for me, oh yeah.
Sing me a song or two,
Won't take you long to just sing to me please,
Won't you whistle a tune.
Though I ain't got a beanie
'Cause I've nothing to dream,
So if you waiting for nothing,
Do something for me.
Sing Mr. Songbird,
Sing Mr. Songbird,
Sing Mr. Songbird,
You help to keep my troubles away.
Sing Mr. Songbird,
Sing Mr. Songbird,
Sing Mr. Songbird,
You help to keep my troubles away.
You help to keep my problems away.
You help to keep the devil away.

Your song
Stars fill the sky,
Night is so young.
I feel so happy and high,
So, sing me a song.
Bring your guitar,
and raise up your voice.
Take me to a place so far,
away from people and their noise.
Your song takes me up,
and guide me through the haze.
Your song never stopped,
to throw me in a maze,
A maze where i'm breathless but free
where i love you and you love me.
Sing me that song about your life,
and how it started when we met.
Sing me that song about our love,
that song i shall never forget.
Sing me your song and bring me to life,
for those moments only..i surfive.
Angels took your song and wrote it in the sky,
with the beautiful cluster stars.
All the world saw it and they knew,
we are in love and you belong to my arms.
Your song is the love anthem,
As you sing that, you will wait for me,
you love me,
you need me.
Your song puts rules for love.
Sing your song all our lives,
i'll never get enough...
Tin Soldiers
I'm... a little tin soldier that wants to jump into the fight
Yes you, your a look in your eye, a dream passing by in the sky
Now I don't understand
But all I need is treat me like a man
'Cause I ain't got no child, take me like I am
I've got to know I'm in love with you
Do anything that you want me to
Sing any song that you want me to
Sing it to you
All I need, is your whispered "hello", smiles melting from your window
Your eyes, are deeper than time, sailing on that with the breeze
So now I've lost my way
I need her to show me things to say
Give me your love, before love fades away
I've got to know I'm in love with you
Do anything that you want me to
Sing any song that you want me to
Sing it to you
I don't need no... compensation
And I just got to beg you, listen
I just got to beg you
I've got to know I'm in love with you
Do anything that you want me to
Sing any song that you want me to
Sing it to you (watch out)
I just want some reaction
Someone to give me satisfaction
All I've gotta to do is stay next to you
Some reaction
A little bit of satisfaction
All I'm gonna do is get next to you
I've got to know I'm in love with you
Do anything that you want me to
Sing any song that you want me to
Sing it to you
I've got to know I'm in love with you (yes I am)
Do anything that you want me to (I'm gonna sing her a song)
Sing any song that you want me to (right on ta you)
Sing it to you (Yeah yeah)
I've got to know I'm in love with you (yes I do)
Do anything that you want me to
Sing any song that you want me to
Sing it to you

Another Song to Sing (Second Draft)
When the night is long and dark and cold
And there's nobody around for you to hold,
Don't forget, whatever night may bring,
Tomorrow is another song to sing.
When the night is cold and there's nobody to hold,
When there's darkness all around you and within;
Remember there's a light at the end of every night,
And every day's another song to sing.
So try to carry on and make it through till dawn,
And listen for another song to sing.
When the clouds hang heavy and so grey
That you can't bear to face another day,
Just remember that, in spite of everything,
Every day's another song to sing.
When everything seems grey and you can't face the day,
When you just wish the world would go away;
Remember there's a spring, once winter's had its fling,
And every day's another song to sing.
When winter turns to spring, those sunny days will bring
Another brand new song for you to sing.
When your heart's been beaten black and blue
And it seems your dreams are never coming true,
Try and find something to keep believin' in,
And listen for another song to sing.
When your heart is bruised and there's nothing left to lose,
And life seems like a game you'll never win;
Remember there's a friend waiting just around the bend
With another song for you to sing.
Remember you've a friend with a song that's newly penned
Especially for you and me to sing.
Song Is Over
The song is over
Its all behind me
I should have known it
She tried to find me
Our love is over
Theyre all ahead now
Ive got to learn it
Ive got to sing out
Chorus:
Ill sing my song to the wide open spaces
Ill sing my heart out to the infinite sea
Ill sing my visions to the sky high mountains
Ill sing my song to the free, to the free
Ill sing my song to the wide open spaces
Ill sing my heart out to the infinite sea
Ill sing my visions to the sky high mountains
Ill sing my song to the free, to the free
When I walked in through the door
Thought it was me I was looking for
She was the first song I ever sang
But it stopped as soon as it began
Our love is over
Its all behind me
Theyre all ahead now
Cant hope to find me
(chorus)
This song is over
Im left with only tears
I must remember
Even if it takes a million years
The song is over
The song is over

Playing so free, like a breath rippling by

Sing Me A Song
Sing me a song,
A song you and I know,
A song that will put me to sleep,
This song that I always listen to makes me cry,
Missing you with every inch on my heart,
Knowing that you will not return,
Sing me a song,
A song that will help me forget about you,
A song that will heal my heart,
A song of forgiveness,
Just sing a song,
A song that can not be forgotten,
A song so memorable,
Only a memory,
Sing me song,
A song that we will love,
A song we can not live with out,
Just sing me a song,
A song that only you and I know.
