Hallowed Ground

We must journey this land before we leave.
We must believe before we can be deceived.
We must seek a world of clarity.

Never have I set foot upon more a hallowed ground
Never have I sat within the earth, waiting below a mound
For the winter sun to kiss, to bless all that’s lost unfound.
Upon the Monks walk ancient seeds have been spread
Beyond the unravelling of time, drawn in dirt the circle
Bends less it be naught more than a line.
A blade of grass may reveal wisdom unto your soul
That until that point had remained unseen, sometimes
My thoughts thrown into the cauldron breed monsters
Far from clean. Delve inside the mushroom you found,
Upon such hallowed ground who knows what may happen.
The ocean breathes, once more caressing the earth with
The tides that break upon her shorelines. Our Lady breathes
Once more, as throughout every summer’s rain.
Mist engulfs the treetops of nearby woodland slopes,
High up in the valley forest dwellers weep.
Trying to keep all they know alive, striving as Our Lady sighs.

Every Time You Throw Dirt On Her (You Lose A Little Ground)

I guess you think it's fun
To laugh at her expense
And point out each mistake she makes
In front of all your friends
You figure she'll let it go by
'Cause she loves you so
But, you know.
Every time you throw dirt on her
You lose a little ground
She slips a little further away
Each time that you put her down
A lady like that can come here and get
Somebody who knows what he's found
Every time you throw dirt on her
You lose a little ground.
--- Instrumental ---
It's hard to bite my lip
But, I ain't saying a word
I give you all the rope to hang yourself
That you deserve
You might be ahead of me in her heart, today
But, that's okay.
Every time you throw dirt on her
You lose a little ground
She slips a little further away
Each time that you put her down
A lady like that can come here and get
Somebody who knows what he's found
Every time you throw dirt on her
You lose a little ground.
Every time you throw dirt on her
You lose a little ground
She slips a little further away
Each time that you put her down
A lady like that can come here and get
Somebody who knows what he's found

Towards the blue all rivers flow.

Storms ravish the coastlines as boundaries blur
Signposts are lost to the surge. Pushing, purging
The land is left fertile yet lifeless whilst microscopic
Parasites feed upon stagnant bloodlust. They feast
Upon decomposing beasts. Winds whip the stallions
Of their riding, spurring, cheering on with a howl.
Overturning leaves, Overturning trees as if some
Giant had arose from his slumber and sought his
Firewood beyond the realm of childhood fantasy.
Tides push against the shore in repetitive motions
Each time gaining ground, moment after moment
Measure for measure they will take in the grains of
The shore, soaking them more and more.

Only life breathes beyond the doorway.
Everyone who comes to the future lives here, now.

Who would be so bold as to take the greatest leap of faith
Casting in ritual away the face they hath known so long?
Hiding in the shadows as molten earth comes rolling
Slow and slumbersome down the valley side, charring black
With death and crimson fury the green dreams we once beheld.
Where are we to run? Where are we to turn?
What but ash is there left to yearn for?

Seek release, seek freedom – Escape from upon the leash
Take an outsiders look within your form
Step inside the eye of the storm with grace.

Observation becomes perverted,
Eternally inverted as whispers are carried bearing
Life to a misunderstanding whilst Rumour foul in
Her presence runs off to breed contempt as we attempt
In standing our ground – Forever children unfound.

Against the storm all winds blow
Towards the blue all rivers flow.
Towards the Earth upon which we grow
We just show respect in reverence.

What futility it would be to stand against the very things that grant me life
Whether there be sunlight or be there rain, whether I be dancing or in pain
I’ll know that nothing is ever the same beyond the will for the flower to bloom again.

Mother Earth in all her forms empowers
If only you would allow it she would shower you,
Take you away from the blue and leave you
Wondering what it is to speak the truth.

As It Is In Heaven

Lyrics: traditional
Music: michael w. smith
Our father, which art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Our father, which art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Our father, which art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Hallowed be thy name
Our father, which art in heaven
Our father
Hallowed be thy name
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day
Our daily bread
And forgive us our debts
As we forgive our debtors
Our father, which art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Our father, which art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us, deliver us from evil
For thine is the kingdom, and all the power
And the glory
Forever amen
Our father, which art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven

Hungry Like The Wolf

(ha ha!)
Dark in the city, night is a wire
Steam in the subway, earth is a fire
Do-do do do, do do do, do do do, do do do, do do
Woman you want me, give me a sign
And catch my breathing even closer behind
Do-do do do, do do do, do do do, do do do, do do
In touch with the ground
Im on the hunt Im after you
Smell like I sound, Im lost in a crowd
And Im hungry like the wolf
Straddle the line, in discord and rhyme
Im on the hunt Im after you
Mouth is alive with juices like wine
And Im hungry like the wolf
Stalked in the forest, too close to hide
Ill be upon you by the moonlight side
Do-do do do, do do do, do do do, do do do, do do
High blood drumming ony our skin its so tight
You feel my heart, Im just a moment behind
Do-do do do, do do do, do do do, do do do, do do
In touch with the ground
Im on the hunt Im after you
Scent and a sound, Im lost and Im found
And Im hungry like the wolf
Strut on a line, its discord and rhyme
I howl and I whine Im after you
Mouth is alive all running inside
And Im hungry like the wolf
-
(hungry like the wolf
Hungry like the wolf
Hungry like the wolf)
Burning the ground I break from the crowd
Im on the hunt Im after you
I smell like I sound, Im lost and Im found
And Im hungry like the wolf
Strut on a line, its discord and rhyme
Im on the hunt Im after you
Mouth is alive with juices like wine
And Im hungry like the wolf
Burning the ground I break from the crowd
Im on the hunt Im after you
Scent and a sound, Im lost and Im found
And Im hungry like the wolf

Mouth is alive all running inside
And Im hungry like the wolf...

Here In The Mounds Of Death

Feed the fantasy lost within a suffocating reality.

Listen, the flutes of the forest night are calling, can you hear?
Listen as you shed a tear for the last leaf of autumn falling,
Winter’s dawn is rising fast upon the horizons of our vision
And we are as the children of Eve lost to blanket insanity.

As each day disappears into the last we are waiting,
Awaiting the guardian at the gate to promise flowered
Wisdom in a lover’s kiss, yet there is something missing here
Within a world imbued with burning sigils of fear.

Into the eye of the dragon that holds the sky within his teeth
We stride, riding on unto the midnight sun
Never fearing the kingdom of shades
Nor running to hide from the waves of karmas tides.

Within celestial mansions built of ethereal elements
They reside; the Ancient Gods of our awakening.
The solar dragon is watching, keeping close and warming eye
Upon the valley green below
The Earth Mother writhes in ecstasy
Penetrated by the eye of the sun.

Here in the mounds of death, under fallen leaves
The Springtime maiden breathes
Knowing in dreams that her time is to come
And that it is she that will be celebrated
Within the return of the sun unto our realm.

Forest Primeval

Forest Primeval

As I walk through
this forest realm.

Breathing in
the mellow mist of scents,
the molting leaf, the broken bark
of times past.

My skin breathes in
the cool kiss of morning air.

I exhale breathless,
in the presence,
of such divine beauty.

I reach out to touch
the divinity of life
of this forests sweet soul.

And to my blissful sense
I see the green hue of
Giant living trees.

So tall above the earth
And yet they humbly bow,
To earth in holy intent.

Giving the breath of life,
To this dweller that walks there.

Returning the fragile cool air
To their companion beings.

I humbly accept the kiss of life
From these magnificent
Redwood oracles.
So ancient and wise above all.

In gratitude and love I vow
To protect all life Here.
In this holiest place
Of God's creation.

Psalm 103

My life is like one blade of grass
That grows gently in the field
My heart is but a single grain
That the Lord my Savior healed

This blade of grass is here today
But tomorrow it is gone
The sands are shifted by the sea
And the night gives way to dawn

Bless the Lord oh my soul
Your mercy set me free
Bless the Lord oh my soul
And all that is within me

Bless the Lord oh my soul
For in thee I have found my rest
You took my sins far from me
As far as the east is from the west

I will bless the Lord at all times
And this I know I must
For He knows my weak and feeble state
He remembers that I'm but dust

As high as the heavens are above the earth
So great is His mercy and His grace
To all who would fear our mighty God
And bow down and fall on their face

The Lord has established His throne in heaven
Rejoice all ye heavens and earth
We shall bless you and praise your forevermore
And before Your throne we forever shall serve

Hallowed Ground

The profit is a fool, the spirtual man is mad,
For the multitude of thine inequity, and the great hatred. (hosea 9:7)
Everyones trying to decide,
Where to go when theres no place to hide.
I follow the bombs as theyre coming down.
This must have been hallowed ground.
No matter what they decide to have done.
Burn up the clouds, block out the sun.
My hope is in one they cant bring down.
My soul is in hallowed ground.
I see the fear, its on the rise.
Lets catch the enemy by surprise.
Burry your treasure where it cant be found.
Burry it deep in hallowed ground.

Summer Lady

Loving you this way
Has made my tired heart sing
Lady, you touch my soul
With all the love you bring
Being so close to you
Is where I want to be
Dont turn your smile away
Dont break my fantasy
Summer lady
You look good to me
Summer lady
Youre my fantasy
Seeing your presence near
Every time I wake
My life would be incomplete
If I didnt have you there
Summer lady
You look good to me
Summer lady
Youre my fantasy
Bridge
Solo
Laying here in my room
With all my worldly things
Dont make up for all my dreams
Of you in my fantasy
Summer lady
You look good to me
Summer lady
Youre my fantasy
Summer lady
You look good to me
Summer lady
Youre my fantasy
Please dont take my dreams away
Oh, summer lady

Customer Complaint

‘There is something wrong with this mushroom! '
I heard a lady, on a nearby table, suddenly boom.
The lady was clearly upset by the whole ‘ordeal',
And, asked the young waitress for a duplicate meal.

Soon, from the kitchen, her new meal appeared,
But, by its appearance, she was far from cheered.
‘I guess, an idiot, is what you take me for?
It's the very same mushroom, I had before! '

That it was a different mushroom, she was assured,
But she was not convinced, so this now meant war.
By this time, the lady was getting really quite irate:
‘That is the same mushroom, on a different plate! '

‘I tell you, this here mushroom is quite inferior!
I demand that I be allowed to see your Superior!
Your explanation, with me, girl, will just not wash.
You're no use: I want you to bring me your boss.'

The Manager appeared, and listened to her complaint:
Luckily, for him, he possessed the patience of a Saint!
He stood there calmly, while she ranted and raved:
A trouble-free shift was what he desperately craved.

She seemed to have time to eat her meal before,
But, suddenly, she didn't have that time anymore!
‘I want a refund! ' she said. ‘And make it snappy! '
She now seemed in a rush, and very far from happy.

Of the show, the lady was most definitely the star,
But I think that she carried things just a little too far!
Tempers flared, nerves frayed, and feelings ran high:
And this was all over one tiny little specimen of fungi!

Lay My Body Down

Woman youre the closest thing
I know, to peace on earth
You warm to what feels cold in me
And healing to what hurts.
Woman can you tell me why
Im driven as I am
Is there something that I have
That makes you give a damn.
Be my comfort when the world
Waves me to the ground
Take me when Ive lost my way
Let me know Im found.
Be a blanket to my soul
Wrap it all around
Be a feather babe to me
And lay my body down.
Touch me with your finger tips
Give my burdens rest
Tell me not to worry so
I know that you know best.
Lady take my callused hands
And hold them in your arms
Lie against me in the dark
And show me Ive come home.
Be my comfort when the world
Waves me to the ground
Take me when Ive lost my way
Let me know Im found....

She's My Baby

Well I'm so blue
I'm thinking about you
I'm feeling so blue
I'm feeling so sad
I just don't understand
I'm feeling so sad
And in the midnight
I don t turn off the light
Until the daylight
Well I toss and I turn
And my heart it still burns
'Til I see her again
She's my lady, she's my baby, she's my lady
She's my baby, she's my lady, she's my haby
She's my lady, now, now, now, now
In the morning I wake
To go get food on my plate
But I just can't eat
And when I go in the cafe
To sit down at my seat
I don't have egg on my face
When it stops and it starts
It just tears me apart
Like a pain in my heart
But it's been misunderstood
Somebody's breaking the rules
And I'm nobody's fool
Well, well, well
She's my lady, she's my baby, she's my lady
She's my baby, she's my lady, she's my baby
She's my lady, now, now, now, now
When it's so high
I can reach for the sky
But when it's so low
I got nowhere to go
When it goes wrong
I just don't belong
When it goes right
It's clean out of sight
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah
I'm feeling so glad
I'm on top of the world
When I see you again
Well it's so true
I been thinking about you
Baby you're my flame
When it goes down
Down on the ground
When it goes down
But when it goes up
It just fills up my cup
When it goes up
Well, well, well
She's my lady, she's my baby, she's my lady
She's my baby, she's my lady, she's my baby
She's my lady, now, now, now, now

Four Seasons

First snowfall this morning.
Ground covered in white.
Flowers have died.
Birds are in flight.

End cycle of life
Death turns into birth
Old becomes new
Renewing our earth

Seasons, like Jesus
Restoring the dead
The blood of the Lamb
And breaking of bread

My seasons, have changed.
I've lost my old ways
Pure white I now sit
From the One whom I praise

I Fall to my knees.
In winter I died.
In spring, I'm reborn.
Summer; alive.

He waits til our fall,
And then helps us rise.
His death for us all,
We see through His eyes.

He is my four seasons.
His will is my goal.
After my death,
He breathes life in my soul

Phoenix Dawn

Apollo in the guise of a sun beam feathered phoenix rises from his grave,
The night is done and twilight over run by the rays of a new day dawning.
The green is restored as the valley lifts its weary head from dreamtime sanctuary.
The animals of the sun rejoice as the creatures of the night return to their homes.
The valley breathes as an emerald glow emits in radiance from the hills.
Everything around is still, all is settled and a natural silence hangs lightly upon the air.
Kissed by the wisdom of some starry eyed goddess I find myself at perfect rest.
The world is turning, all memories of the sickened rose are burning upon a funeral pyre.

The fires are red hot and smouldering away at the Earth. Shadows dance to unknown Tunes whilst I undress to know creation as my nature. A voice upon the wind
Whispers melodies upon a breeze that seems as ancient as the mountain range, still
They are fresh to the mind at ease and still I believe in the beauty of this land.
Still I believe that within the palms of our hands we conceal the key to the illumination
To this kingdom of dancing shadows, I believe we may cast new light upon any realm
Just as I believe that we may remain steady at the helm throughout the most tempestuous
Of storms. Through the art of meditation and through the turning of seven circles we may
Chance upon the final sphere and we may rise within this lifetime towards the glory of one, we may rise as we may balance in the sun and the moon in our stride, never hiding
From the tides of Fate that will sometimes crash upon our shorelines. I believe that in our given time we may perfect ourselves and be as one with the world in which we live.

Sustenance for Friend Penny

Across the valley echoing
I hear a sound like distant drums.
It is the day of reckoning.
The storm god comes, the storm god comes.

His silver lances pierce the ground
and lightning streaks across the sky.
The thunder growls a fearsome sound.
The sun seared earth no longer dry.

The pouring rain is merciless,
the earth absorbs it thirstily
Its needs appears to be endless
The downpour stops quite suddenly.

The sun resumes his reign again.
There is no water to be seen,
it is as if there’d been no rain
but now the land is turning green.

The rain has reached the dormant seeds
Which wait in patience for their turn
the rainfall has fulfilled their needs
Now grasses and the flowers return.

The soil no longer sere and brown
but clad in multi coloured hues
of flowers which have quickly grown.
It is impossible to choose

which flower that you like the best.
Amongst the riotous display
each striving to outdo the rest
and does in fact in its own way..

Although the flowering seasons short.
The plants mature at lightning speed.
Producing seeds of every sort.
Which will survive until the day

the storm God will return again
to bless with rain the dry hard pan.
Reintroduce the flowers reign
all part of nature’s master plan.

Paradise Found

I am lost inside
A world of my own,
A world that I painted inside of my thoughts
Within a figment of my imagination-
I have taken myself on a journey to a place
I call paradise-
Inside this place I call paradise
I am lost,
Inside this place I call paradise,
I am alone-
Surrounded by trees and mountains,
Violet in hue – wildflowers would grow and
Grass grows high, caressing my ankles
In an almost loving way-
Inside the world of my thoughts
I step inside this paradise I have found and as I
Lose myself within a dream,
In less than a moment’s time,
My imagination has succumbed
To this magical land of my delusions-
Towards this place where I shall forever remain-
I am lost, I am alone but here in this place I call paradise,
Surrounded by trees and mountains,
Violet in hue and where wildflowers grow and
Grass grows high-
In a strange sort of way, I am not really alone-
I have my thoughts, my dreams and my fantasies and
The voices only I can hear are my constant companions-
Birds, trees and forget-me- knots are truly my friends-
In all actuality, I am no longer lost as
I was in that world outside of my dreams
Within that world into which I was born-
In that world where people have always hurt, betrayed and lied to me-
It was inside that world I was truly lost and alone-
I shall never return to that world.
I have lost myself within a dream and in truth,
I have finally found who I truly am and as I listen to the singing
Of the nightingale, the water rushing in the creek below,
A gentle breeze rustling the leaves upon the trees and
As I watch the sun ascend over the mountains,
The deer running freely and
I begin to sing a song of freedom and peace of mind-
Now I know the true meaning of loss and loneliness-
That is being trapped inside a world laden with myriads of people
Who have and shall always hurt and betray one another, as
Every moment in time rapidly advances too fast to control-
As I glance upward towards this sky of azure-blue,
I lock that phantasmal door that separates fantasy from reality-
Delighted to say that this fantasy has become my new reality and
I have found myself within the world of my dreams,
Surrounded by trees and mountains, violet in hue and
Where wildflowers grow plentifully and
When the sun descends behind the mountains and darkness overcomes
Here in my paradise- I can begin to count the stars and
Dance with the moon on the horizon- to the tune of
The singing of the nightingale-alive in my very own heaven and paradise,
Not lost but found and never again alone-
Here inside the world of my fantasies,
Where I have been reborn, within this magical land of my dreams,
Where I shall always sing a song of freedom as I joyfully wish upon a star-

Summer-sun Kissed Goodbye

Weary eye of sun from mountain peeked;
Reddened to leave the day as summer says goodbye;
Not a farewell for another season’s break;
Fall will come undress leaves, trees as naked to eye.

May its wave taunting the feet engraved on sands;
Erased yet memories remained in mind;
The ocean held the sun’s streak as if for last glance,
Of summer-sun now leaving us behind;

Bones of trees, dust to dust now unseen;
Fled with the wind, dirt etched on the cacti’s tomb;
Tumbleweeds rolling in a dreadful scene;
As ghostly barren lay yet for another spring-womb;

As the fog crawled before the morning sun,
An eyelet through the fingers of clouds, it’d shun;
Clear the sky for the playgrounds of young
Birds eyeing to a new paradise when winter comes;

Like a goodnight kiss on mountains’ cheek;
The sun would rise again; thus, new season begins;
The cycle of life either to succumb or seek,
As the world turns to a new day, even moon grins.

Goddess Guardian Of The Nightmare.

O Mother of love unseen
It seems as though I shall know no love till my muse in my arms
Away from the harm on another plain
I call upon the moon - female energies divine -
Bring me the princess of eternity.

The stars are flickering candlelight
Testament to a time long gone
For upon the canvas of the night
Are sewn for us scriptures lost.

No longer do the stars that shine exist to us
The constellations transforming.

How my heart swells with the thoughts of the past
Sages long forgotten
Men journeying within themselves without boundaries upon his acceptance of reality.
Feeding the beast of the labyrinth calling.

Ecstatic visions empowering

To dream and to believe is to never be deceived.

Through days unsleeping we lay lost to the memory of forgetting
The hours have dissolved into a solution of grim and soulless solitude.
I have not yet set foot beyond the ivory gates of dream time wandering
Yet I am aware of the shadows that fall.

The unseen court parades the night
A thousand spirits rise as demons loose within the child's imagination
Form as Gods within the twilight realm
Dividing dream time reality from the waking consciousness.

I remember the days we used to lay upon the barren fields of winters reign
I remember the games we would play over and over, again and again
And now, years from forgetting here I am regretting that naught has come to pass.

Are we those that forget we are alive?

The elders of the tribe are gathered
Silence breathes heavy on the woodland air.
Darkness stalks the land unforgiving
Enveloping in dank suffocation all that is held precious within the heart of man, .

For twenty years I have grown,
Seeking to know all that can be known
Where are the kings and queens of our kingdoms dream?

Whispering Waves

By the shore of the sea searching for his memory
Sifting sand through my hand weighing what he means to me
In the early morning haze seagulls seem to cry my pain
And ocean feels it too sighs his name on whispering waves
Wrote his name next to mine big and deep there in the sand
Till the earth tends to flow and our names will be drowned
All the birds sing harmonies to the top line of the breeze
While the ocean breathes his name on whispering waves
Theres a bistro where we would dine each evening
Candle light and california wine
Love is holding hands across the table
I still go past each night
Look for his car outside
At the foot of this cliff we spent days weaving our dreams
Making plans building homes raising kids and coloring scenes
Then one morning he was gone and our story reached an end
But his words still linger on on whispering waves
Aah, ahh, ahh...
By the shore of the sea searching for his memory
Sifting sand through my hand weighing what he means to me
All the birds sing harmonies to the top line of the breeze
While the ocean breathes his name on whispering waves
