The beauty of the desert lands
Lies in the multi coloured sands
which vary with the light of day.
Only the nomad understands.
By night the dunes look black and grey
but alter when the moonbeams play
across the valleys and the peak.

Unwanted Dreams
She's caught in a twist of fate
Not knowing whether to love or hate
Bleeding more with each breath she breathes
She's as dead as a tree without any leaves
Cold, and all alone in the dark of the night
This is her rock bottom after her lowest flight
Burning her eyes with every tear she cries
After all the cheating, denying and lies
She only wants to leave this place behind
But she forces a smile and pretends its alright
What else can she do? Where else can she turn?
The only thing left is her life to burn
All those pictures of a once upon a time
A fairytale turned nightmare, left behind
Her Cinderella dream turned to unwanted things
Though she'd love to leave, to fly away on angel's wings

In the warm crisp air of a lazy afternoon,
I drift off slowly into a sweet slumber.
Deafened by the silence around me,
Through the haze of time I glimpse you.
There you are, plain as day,
I stand there aghast, frozen in time.
I fight to move closer to you,
I try to run but I am frozen.

all earthly

My icy eyes with frozen tears can see thou,

Down the long quay the slow boats glide,
While here and there a house looms white
Against the gloom of the waterside,
And some high window throws a light
As they sail out into the night.
At dawn they will bring in again
To women knitting on the quay
Who wait for him, their man of men;
I stand with them, and watch the sea
Which may have taken mine from me.

The nights, ma Doué! the nights are cold!
Our Lady's heart is as frozen snow,
Since this one sin I have not told;

This Isn't Everything You Are
He walked into a drugstore that day
He took a bullet and saved a girl
Not for heroic reasons
But to end his journey
His mum held his feet and prayed
with a hundred teardrops
Two thousand hands of a thousand angels
Performed CPR and with four thousand teardrops
Warmed his frozen body
God sits, turns his face and sheds a dropp or two
He lies alone in pitch darkness
The going had been tough
And he chose to get going
He dug a hole, lay and covered himself
Grace felt fat and took a stroll that day
He walked and smiled
Stepping on a heap of sand, he felt pain
Stooped and moved the sand
Turned his face and stared the turned teary face
Face to face they stared
The angels keep at it and look to God and grace
'There's joy not far from here', the angels echoed
He'd strayed, mum prayed, angels stayed
God came, breathed in him
Whispered and said, 'this isn't everything you are'
His heart beat, his mum smiled

To show him, all he was made to be

Here it comes, another lonely day, playing the game,
Ill sail away on a voyage of no return to see
If eternal life is meant to be

The painted ladies of the avalon play in the sun,
Take to the road, to the north there lies the chills of cold,

Eyes Wide Open
My feet are bare and restless
Asylum walls could not hold me
I am free here
Absorbed within the harmony of all
Free beyond fear
Free beyond the walls of my confinement.
I have seen the garden lost and secret frozen
I have seen beyond the velvet corridor labyrinth winding.
I have heard sirens sing from unknown shores
And I have known more... more than I could ever wish to know.
I have danced with the Devil at the crossroads
And paraded in cyclictic motions with nymphs of forest sanctuary
I have crossed dust desert trails and still I sail the ocean sky
Still I sigh in crying
And here I die in trying
To find solace in your eyes.
So many faces

Not enough space

With dreams entwined by silver linings everything seems so fine
And Heaven scented discontentment’s are no concern of mine.
