The Chronicles of Nostalgia Part 1 Pick up Something... a memory
Amidst the pain i crawled and reached for
The pocket knife, suddenly a memory to abhor
Slipped through my hands into my mind
I swatted it away along with the flashback I tried to find
My flashbang, for i was sweating anticipating the next enemy
As soon as my fingers impacted the surface a memory did come
A memory of her, but
She is gone... I must forget... I feel confused... must
I just chased my memories around and
Around, but when i got to the end there was a sting
Of pain and angst and a pang of my nostalgia
With shackles of my shadow I once was, I cannot sing
The tune
Of life nor rejoice with love in June
No, school seems just a s hollow
This poem is a personal self pit wallow
This is the tune of nostalgia
Sometimes it has repercussion, others times
After just one rhyme
Life and pain drift away
This very day
Today hear the ballad of those whose
Nostalgia is malignant.

It's Better With The Good Eye
Nostalgia isn’t what it used to be,
Looking back at oh so far away.
Memory’s just another way to see.
A place to go on holiday for free,
Forty years ago if it’s a day.
Nostalgia isn’t what it used to be.
And was that other person really me,
What changed, why could I not stay?
Memory’s just another way to see
The way things were around us then when we
Thought all our dreams were surely on their way.
Nostalgia isn’t what it used to be,
The sky was always blue it seemed to me,
Every day the sun shone so they say -
Memory’s just another way to see,
But now I know that life’s not lunch for free
That bitter fruit is served on many days
Nostalgia isn’t what it used to be,
Memory’s just another way to see.

The Chronicles Of Nostalgia Part 4 Nostalgic about Stupidity
Images flash by
I feel like I might die
All those times... all those mistakes
Memories of a time past
Some memories you wish wouldn't last
All this makes
Me feel confused... so many its hard to even think
Of them.... it takes awhile for the pain to go away
Once it starts to sink
In deep and on this day
I get this feeling
I can't sing
New nostalgia born each day
New memories good and bad today
And forever
What a pointless endeavor
To try to escape
this cage holds my memory here
Strange to me it is that, I don't know who to call my dear
It's all quite strange, lost in my stupidity
That's me

My Memories
Today will be a memory
yesterday is a memory drifting away
memories turn into tears,
tearing us apart.
Fear of moving on, afraid of change,
in a minute this will just be a memory
memories are all pain in vain
memories are like dreams, a reflection of the past.
Memories are vision of what it used to be.
my memories are sadness and struggle
what are yours?
are they sadness and struggle?
You are but a memory
that dwindles as each day passes me by.
and as you slowly vanish
I huddle in my room and cry.
A memory that’s all I have
that’s all that’s left of you
nothing but a mere memory
that still lingers, only for a little while longer in my head.
Don’t forget about the past
without memories there is no yesterday.
make every day one to remember a
memory to move on with no pain or anymore regrets

Nostalgia
We all at sometimes hark back to days gone bye,
in our memory they seem better than today,
then we stop and think for a little while.
Where they really better than today?
Has our memory fuzzed out the hurt,
and blotted out the thing we want to forget?
It is a question of perspective.
They were great if you want them, to be that way,
or they were horrible, as far as I recall.
Nostalgia can swing either way.
The choice is always yours
how you remember your yesterdays.

Ben
Verse 1:
I’m sitting in my room thinking about the times that weren’t so bad
When you were here with the family
It was like you were the person who listened, the kind one
Always knew the right thing to stand up for no matter the cause or cost
Chorus:
The pain shoots through me every time I start to think or talk about your memory
Just because the way you were taken was so unnecessary
So Ben this one is for you
The family we miss you it’s like
The pain could never end
But together we can get through this
And keep your memory alive
Verse 2:
The many things run through my head
That the fact if you were here still today
Things could be different, it seemed
Like you were the part that kept things together
When you went things fell apart
Chorus:
The pain shoots through me every time I start to think or talk about your memory
Just because the way you were taken was so unnecessary
So Ben this one is for you
The family we miss you it’s like
The pain could never end
But together we can get through this
And keep your memory alive
Verse 3:
The feelings cut deep like a knife
Through all of this I’m still here
To keep your memory alive, I shall remember you for the good
Not the last memories, the grievance just wont pass
But thanks to the support of many certain friends I can still pull through.
Chorus:
The pain shoots through me every time I start to think or talk about your memory
Just because the way you were taken was so unnecessary
So Ben this one is for you
The family we miss you it’s like
The pain could never end
But together we can get through this
And keep your memory alive

Nanna and Grandpa
In nostalgia I recall,
The things my memory tell,
Of all those little things,
And the thoughts that ring a bell.
Loved ones never die,
They live on for ever more,
This we should not deny,
Or we make our hearts grow sore.
Memories never cease,
Memories shall never depart,
They live for ever more,
Deep within the heart.
There they keep alive,
For the eternal God above,
In his memory they shall lie,
The very ones we love.

To The Aggies Of Ateneo De Davao Around The World
nostalgia is the word for all these now
we have the urge to look out the window and find
who we were: the joys of the college years that will tickle us
old friends and their memories like innocent children
coming on our laps asking for our embraces
old pictures make our hearts shrink a little only to grow
bigger like a bread from the pan
fresh and fuming with the flavor of wheat
nostalgia is the word for it
and time is its mother that nourishes with its milk
the past comes to us always with something greener
and a breather of mint and rosemary
some peppers and honeyed lemonades
nostalgia is the word for it
when our wings have gone far beyond the lands of our births
dissolving in the horizons of other lands
when our chirps are gone
nostalgia is the word for it
when we come back stronger this time and lovelier
with our wounds that healed
with our pains that lost its trick
nostalgia is the word for it
such is she a beautiful woman still even though the hairs have turned gray
and the breasts sag and the bones rattling like brittle sticks
nostalgia is the word for it and no matter where the winds of this world
and its cyclones and waves have taken us
we are back looking for the glitter of each other's eyes
and then we laugh and then the world has heard us
yes, nostalgia is the word that people seldom use
as they move on with their respective lives
but we are here once again
nostalgia is the theme, it is here and soon it will leave
we are once again full even for once

Tattoos of My Past (Something to Live For)
Sometimes,
Every now and then,
I feel the pain again,
Of everything crashing down.
In that one moment,
My whole conscious awareness of being alive is focused on my wrists,
Almost like I can feel the scars pulsing with my heart beat,
A constant reminder of what the pain has done to me,
What it sometimes still does.
Sometimes,
I take it as a reminder of how far I've come,
How everything is okay,
How I am strong because of it all,
Other times,
It breaks me down.
Shoves the realization of the pain in my face,
Screaming at me to remember it,
To address it,
To give it the attention it begs for.
Still, other times, it leaves me breathless,
Unsure of what to think or how to react,
Just sitting there alone,
With nothing but my beating heart and awareness,
Nothing to think about but memories and feelings,
It's those times when I make the most progress,
Feel the strongest,
When I think of everything I have to live for,
All the love that's worth the struggles,
The beauty of life's rose instead of it's thorns,
It's in those moments that the scars aren't a symbol of pain,
Or a scream for help,
But simply a memory,
A memory of mountains that I have climbed,
Obstacles that I have passed,
They are, in that moment, a tattoo of my past,
A token of my success.
It's then that I smile, still feeling my heart beat,
And go on with what ever I was doing,
Happy to know who I am and know my life is worth it all.
This might sound sappy and you might question it's truth,
But it is true.
Sometimes,
Every now and then,
I feel the pain again,
Of everything crashing down,
And it's in that moment when I realize that everything will be okay,
Without these scars,
Without the pain to remind me every once in a while,
I might forget everything there is to remember,
I might forget that no matter what I feel,
I'm still here,
And I believe with all my heart,
That that is something to live for.

In Remambrance
It’s my sister’s birthday today,
She left us three decades away.
We watched her lying on her hospital bed,
And slowly right before our eyes she was dead.
Her face looked serene and free of pain,
Though it was drawn and drained.
The memory of her last breath,
As she slipped into the arms of death,
After so many years still fresh in my mind.
She was so vivacious, gentle and kind.
I feel it was only yesterday
When in the morning, on our way
To the school in a cycle rickshaw,
We would play pranks unmindful of who saw..
Though we had lots of tiffs and fights
We normally made up by the night.
We shared and, talked about our first crush,
I still remember how she blushed.
As she told me about a guy
Who made her happy she felt like to cry.
She has been gone for so long
I still wonder what went wrong
Does time really heal?
Is it enough to live on memories?
Nobody can take her place
I still remember her beautiful face
The secrets we shared at midnight,
And our light banter and pillow fights
At times I feel wistful
Wouldn’t it have been beautiful?
Reminiscing about our childhood,
Our fights, midnight feasts and moods
I am still overcome with nostalgia and grief,
Am glad had her, though her sojourn was brief.
filial love and bond is one of a kind
that sort of camaraderie is rare to find.
she is stiil twenty something in my mind's eye
young, spirited, with a zest for life - my best ally.

Thoughts
What are we now?
What will we become?
Nothing but a distant memory
of yet another year that has
passed?
A painful little echo of what
should've been?
A pleasant memory that reminds
us that life goes on?
An appreciated memory that
brings back feelings of love or
hope,
when they're needed the most?
Just another high school fling
that taught you how to love?
Or yet another memory that
ends in pain, teaching you to
hate?
Just a figment of your past?
Or part of a future yet to
come?

No Other
Go and hug her
Your mother, your life giver
A soul divine.
Leave not your mother
A woman so kind..............Keya Mukerjee
Mother and no other
I wish again to see her
In kindest form ever known
She is mother of my own
I have wept
With hidden face and kept
Her memory and face
Those always made me cry and chased
It is repeat divine performance
A child gets unique chance
To be born to a mother
Rejoice for a while and not to bother
She is Mother Nature
Every season presents for sure
New leaves and flowers
For old trees with rainy showers
I miss each moment of life
As she has witnessed an edge of knife
To upkeep child away from all misfortune
Sing with melody to quiet with fine tune
Those words baffle me sometimes
Where will she be gone in old times?
I literally miss with wet eyes
When a memory flood and suddenly flies
I not only salute her selfless existence
But bow head in recognition at once
How come she cares so much for lovely child?
When fate is known to witness later on to be blind

Never Mend
Ironic.
Platonic.
Is how our story must end.
It's fact.
A cracked
Heart
Will never mend.
Nostalgia.
Neuralgia.
Just different types of pain.
Bad memory.
No emery
Could smooth it out
Again.
Kisses
Now don't warm,
They scald.
Revenge
A dish
That's always best served cold.
And my pain doesn't break
It bends.
Like weeping willows
With arthritic trends.
My softest dream is torn.
And now
Sleep is no friend.
Broken promises
From passion born,
I know
Will never end.

Making Love With Memories
You poked my blurring eye,
Let me lift your mushy breast.
We aged onwards
While you stroked flaccidity –
Recalling decades of
Blood-gorged coming, shuddering to boot.
I kissed a venerable mouth
Crammed with falsities –
Once brilliant keys
Guarded by crimson lips
Washed by a sensual tongue.
And so we writhed in wrinkles,
Tiring effort, and
Memories.

Romancing in Dispair
Enigma...
Romancing with Nostalgia
I have this strong desire
Thinking someone... a dream now,
To liberate my sen-ital love
To romance with her.
Rain when shatters over house sheet
Takes me back to
My years of romance.
Those memories makes me impotent
I go senile...
I wish if i could take her,
in my arms,
And hum softly in her ears,
My lines of immature poetry... teen confession.
In narrative tune
Emphasizing more for clear wordings,
...stop it!
She is gone.
What has remained is a heart piercing feelings,
If love had law,
She would've been prosecuted.
but... whatever it is,
I always think of you.
One face of romance.
Romancing with my distress.
Nothing is left in me.
its nonentity...
My fate...
Unlucky with relations.
for whom I admire,
I make'em my perennial dream
But they have no solace for me.
Beholding this despair,
Lamenting this loss,
I tumble in life.
Romancing with her was unbelievable,
Romancing with her memories pains,
here I do.
Romancing with nostalgia.
crying in her memories,
I wish if I could add,
more vulnerable synonym for 'crying'.
I smile remembering time you used to tickle me.
time, you pulled me under your umbrella
but our romance remained incomplete.
Our relation wasn't so necessary for her.
One life cleavage.
I sustain my this part with pain.
my aspiration lay barren.
No magic works on me.
Its more than romancing,
more slow than whiskey lullaby.
Dying is nothing,
Journey to death is heartthrobing.
I can feel what a widow feel.
romancing with dark rose.
Romancing with my incomplete feelings.
I will continue to romance.
dwelling constantly over spilt past.

On The Last Hour....

nostalgia vomiting
nostalgia
hands wrap your

desire is gone

My life is very exciting now. Nostalgia for what? It's like climbing a staircase. I'm on the top of the staircase, I look behind and see the steps. That's where I was. We're here right now. Tomorrow, we'll be someplace else. So why nostalgia?

Without You Here
This pain runs so deep
I think of you and start to weep
At night I get restless sleep
Wishing that you'd just forgive me
I look at the pills and wonder if it'd be easier to die and forget your memory
This pain is taking hold of me
I feel the tears roll down my face and feel like such a disgrace
I want to hold your hand
Help me up for I can't stand
I love you and cringe at the thought of you with another
I want to be your only lover
Please take this pain away
I can't take it here another day
Wondering if I ever cross your mind
I know your always on mine
I know in my heart that your the one
In this life I'm lost without you and its hard to go on
I wait for your call
But don't hear from you at all
I look to the sky
And with tears in my eyes I let you go and say goodbye
I'm sorry baby don't forget your love for me

I Realized Why I Hate Rejection
i hate being rejected,
i never understood until today,
it replays in my mind,
the day you told me,
that it was my fault,
it couldn't be the way it was,
when it was you and i,
i was a child,
you put the blame on me,
told me i opened my mouth,
and now things can never be the same,
i was a child,
everything you were doing to me,
just felt so wrong,
i enjoyed the attention,
looking back,
i don't think it was worth it,
there are memories i won't forget,
everything you did to me,
was set in stone,
it will never be undone or erased,
it will remain,
a memory i wish to distroy,
but i can't,
it's a memory and feeling,
that is hard to live with at times,
being told as a child,
that you wasn't good enough,
by a man who had no right,
and yet i'm the one hurting,
it don't feel fair,
you got what you enjoyed,
and i didn't even asked for it,
i was forced into doing it,
what i didn't want to do,
it no wonder i put myself,
in the same exact thing you put me in,
it feels right,
but at the same time,
i'm hallow and numb,
i don't feel nothing,
i'm not even sure if i want to feel something,
because feeling something means,
feeling the deep pain,
i let myself go years trying to forget,
it will all come flooding back,
all the pain is hard,
it don't seem to get easier.

Special Memories
My memories are special for they leave a good feeling for me
Some just a day, a sight, a voice, an experience; you see.
They have made my life bountiful and beautiful and ever so much more
A singular memory to display an earthly journey with each an open door.
Just one memory could elicit a dialogue of meaning and feeling
To open up my humanity for a full life that was revealing.
So much has been given to us as part of our earthly treasure
The spiritual and the material; and most importanly, also nature.
Important things about life in my memory and all the rest
Seperate from our being and are the very best.
Most of these things took but a minute and others more than a day
Some like love have lasted a lifetime; along memories way.
That which caused fear, pain, sorrow or regret
To find their own repose or disappear; which would be best? .
I can withdrawn from my memory to view and savor
Very first love; and my best ice cream flavor.
I never have to replace nor even to renew
As my memory is guarded by God's love; just for me and you.
I don't believe I would trade even one memory of mine
For a taste of heavenly bread or a sip of its wine.
I leave you a sample of what I absorbed in this life
Gifts from God and you; and all with very little strife.
