Sisters Of Mercy

For Suzanne and Melvina

I have two sisters of mercy.
On sister found me
and introduced me to the other.
Between them both,
they turned my world around.
Where I had given up,
they gave me the courage
to start all over again.
Their confidence in me
pushed me to do things
I never thought I’d do.
I have written many times
about these two sisters
whom without them
I’m not sure what I’d do.
Now I’d like to say
Thank You for being you.

Sister Love

I know we're not sisters
But it seems like we are
We have a special bond
No matter how far

As I grew up
You were always there
No matter what happened
You were always near

When I was little
This was my thought
We're not real sisters
But you're the closest I've got

That thought's still here
And it always will be
But with our baby sister
We're a group of three

But now I know
You'll always care
Though things seem different
This bond we will share

With you as a sister
We did everything sisters could do
So no matter near or far
Our sister love is true

Sisters Of Mercy

Your faith is not faithful
Your grace has no grace
Your mercy shows no mercy
Is there no way out of this place?
There's a baby crying softly
In a dark and dangerous place
She's imprisones by no language
Fear grips her tiny face
In God's house she's held a hostage
By a cruel and heartless mob
There's some rules they think God's written
And it justifies their job
Sisters of mercy[sisters of mercy]
Daughters of hell[daughters of hell]
They always weave their web of lies
And wrap you in their wicked spell
Sisters of mercy[sisters of mercy]
Masters of pain[masters of pain]
They try to crucify your innocence
And do it in God's name
There's a baby sobbing softly
In a crib that's now a cage
She's done nothing to deserve this
But it sanctifies their rage
They use God like he's a weapon
Only for a chosen few
Then hide behind pious faces
Like the guilty always do
Sisters of mercy[sisters of mercy]
Mothers of shame[mothers of shame]
A baby only gets to heaven
If she's baptised in his name
Sisters of mercy[sisters of mercy]
Daughters of war[Daughters of war]
This chicks administer your penance
While the Devil guards their door
Your faith is not faithful
Your grace has no grace
Your mercy shows no mercy
Is there no way out of this place?
There's a baby who's a warrior
Sometimes tears run down her face
As she wonders should she fight
Or simply vanish from this race
If she's only learned one lesson
It's pride comes before a fall
The karma train waits for no man
But God waits for us all
Sisters of mercy[sisters of mercy]

For my sisters

The women I call sisters
Are always there
The women I call sisters
Will always care

The women I call sisters
Can make me smile when times are blue
The women I call sisters
Are always very true.

The women I call sisters
By choice, are my best of friends
The women I call sisters
Will be there with me till the world ends

The women I call sisters
Are blessings from God above
The women I call sisters
Are sisters that I'll always love.

Sisters, O Sisters

-male chauvinist pig engineer, ha! ha!
-right on, sister!
We lost our green land, we lost our clean air,
We lost our true wisdom and we live in despair.
O sisters, o sisters, lets stand up right now,
Its never too late to start from the start.
O wisdom, o wisdom, thats what we ask for,
And, yes, my dear sisters, we must learn to ask.
Wisdom, o wisdom, thats what we ask for,
Thats what we live for no-oo-ow.
Wisdom, o wisdom, thats what we ask for,
Thats what we live for no-oo-ow.
O sisters, o sisters, lets wake up right now,
Its never too late to shout from our hearts.
O freedom, o freedom, thats what we fight for,
And, yes, my dear sisters, we must learn to fight.
Freedom, o freedom, thats what we ask for,
Thats what we live for no-oo-ow.
O freedom, o freedom, thats what we ask for,
Thats what we live for no-oo-ow.
O sisters, o sisters, lets give up no more,
Its never too late to build a new world.
O new world, o new world, thats what we live for,
And, yes, my dear sisters, we must learn to live.
New world, o new world, thats what we live for,
Thats what we must now learn to build.
O new world, o new world, thats what we live for,
Thats what we must now learn to build.
New world, o new world, thats what we live for,
Thats what we must now learn to build.
O new world, o new world, thats what we live for,
Thats what we must now learn to build.

Angela

Sister, theres a wind that never dies
Sister, were breathing together
Sister, our love and hopes forever keep on moving oh so slowly in the world
They gave you sunshine
They gave you sea
They gave you everything but the jailhouse key
They gave you coffee
They gave you tea
They gave you everything but equality
Angela, can you hear the earth is turning?
Angela, the world watches you
Angela, you soon will be returning to your sisters and brothers in the world
Sister, youre still a people teacher
Sister, your word reaches far
Sister, theres a million different races but we all share the same future in the world
They gave you sunshine
They gave you sea
They gave you everything but the jailhouse key
They gave you coffee
They gave you tea
They gave you everything but equality
Angela, they put you in prison
Angela, they shot down your man
Angela, youre one of the millions of political prisoners in the world

The sisters of mercy

I have known some sisters of mercy
and when my life fell to pieces
they were there
and gave warmth, care
and some consideration
at a small price.

When my life was bare
and the one that I loved
had moved on
to another,
the sisters of mercy
had compassion
and installed faith
that I would overcome.

Sisters, Sisters

Sisters, sisters
There were never such devoted sisters,
Never had to have a chaperone, no sir,
Im there to keep my eye on her
Caring, sharing
Every little thing that we are wearing
When a certain gentleman arrived from rome
She wore the dress, and I stayed home
All kinds of weather, we stick together
The same in the rain and sun
Two different faces, but in tight places
We think and we act as one
Those whove seen us
Know that not a thing could come between us
Many men have tried to split us up, but no one can
Lord help the mister who comes between me and my sister
And lord help the sister, who comes between me and my man

My Canadian Chronicles 32

On my holiday, I have had many surprises,
but none like I had on my birthday.
'The Auburn' is a prestigious place
where poets go in Calgary.
I had the honour of taking the open mike
and reading a couple of my poems to them.
However, what happen next took me by surprise.
When I had finished and left the stage
the poets at 'The Auburn' sang happy birthday to me,
then my friend Melvina read out a birthday poem
she had written especially for me.
It didn’t end there,
for during the interval they brought out my cake.
My two friends Sue and Melvina
kept the whole thing from me,
but what a wonderful surprise.
The whole evening was too wonderful for words
and something I will never forget
and yet another thing I have to thank
my two adopted sisters for.

Sister Power

Sister Sledge,
Made their pledge,
To family.
It's a part I love,
To take happily.
It's a big deal,
I am delighted.
Like the Pointer Sisters.
I am so excited.
I am not saying,
That it's a bad thing
To have a brother.
I am just saying,
That sister power,
Is like no other.
It's one of the
Greatest rewards.
Like a sweet melody,
By Mary Mary,
The God in me,
It makes me want to get up,
I could never get enough.
Gospel group the Clark Sisters,
Who's has been at it for years.
Let me tell you mister,
I love the fact that
I have sisters! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

A Girl Like You

You go to sleep, I want to sail in your hair
And when you speak, you know you got to make sense
You want to say that it's me you know less
I say a girl like you, she was born to be blessed
My hands are yours, and you can take them from me
And take my mouth, I have nothing to say
I want to fly to some other place
I say a girl like you, she was born to be kissed
Born to be kissed
One thousand times and your sisters too
One thousand times, a girl like you
You're gonna say that you want to be free
But when you fall, you'll know you'll fall back to me
You want to fly, and there's no disgrace
I say a girl like you, she was born to be blessed
My hands are yours cause I don't know how to pray
Take my mouth, I have nothing to say
I lift my heart up to a higher place
Up to a girl like you, who was born to be kissed
Oh, born to be kissed
One thousand times and your sisters too
One thousand times, a girl like you
One thousand times and your sisters too
One thousand times, a girl like you
One thousand times and your mother too
One thousand times, a girl like you
One thousand times and your sisters too
One thousand times, a girl like you
Aw-w-w-w, yeahhhh
And your sisters too
One thousand times, a girl like you
Ooooh, one thousand times and your sisters too
One thousand times, I said a girl like you
Ooooh, one thousand times and your sisters too.

Brothers And Sisters

For my adopted sisters

Brothers and sisters
do not always have to be kin
we can make them sometimes
from very close friends.
Someone we want within our family
to share with us
our successes and our triumphs.
We take them because we care
more than friendship grows.
We want them in our lives
for now and evermore,
until the day we die.
We want them close
as kin folk should be,
so we adopt them into our family
as a brother or a sister
which ever it may be.

Whys It So Hard

Whys it so hard to love one another
Whys it so hard to love
(repeat)
What do I have to do to be accepted
What do I have to say
What do I have to do to be respected
How do I have to play
What do I have to look like to feel Im equal
Where do I have to go
What club do I have to join to prove Im worthy
Who do I have to know
Chorus:
Im telling you brothers, sisters
Why cant we learn to challenge the system
Without living in pain
Brothers, sisters
Why cant we learn to accept that were different
Before its too late (first time only)
Whys it so damn hard (all other times)
What do I have to learn to know whats right for me
What do I have to know
What am I going to do when I feel righteous
Where do I have to go
Who should get to say what I believe in
Who should have the right
What am I going to do with all this anger
Why do I have to fight
(chorus)
Bring your love, sing your love
Wear your love, share your love
(repeat twice)
Bring your love, sing your love
Wear your love, show your sister how
Brothers, sisters, what do I have to say
Brothers, sisters, how do I have to play
Brothers, sisters, who should have the right
Brothers, sisters, why do I have to fight
Whys it so hard to love one another
Love your sister, love your brother
(repeat)
Whys it so hard to love one another
Whys it so hard to love
(chorus)
Sing your love
Share your love
(repeat 3 times)
Love your brother now
Show your sister how
Love your brother now
Show your sister
(repeat)

Her Open Lips

Through all the struggling with my sister
i started to kiss her open lips
and knead my sisters breast through the bra
and her blouse, and her panties open FULL became.
and just you read wanting more and more.
The sensation was too much for her
and she slowly started to relax
allowing me to play with her body
when her milk laden breast started to leak.
I was so thirsty and my too was jutting out under her shorts.
The moment I felt my sisters breast milk in my hands
I lifted the loose end of the Saree
and started to open her blouse looks pale rich fully
while my sister tried to prevent me.
Removing the hooks was too tedious, 'so I caught hold of her blouse
and tore at it, ripping it with the eye teeth.
The act shocked and excited my sister and she gave a loud gasp.
Then I pulled the bra up exposing both
the white milk laden breast with the dark chocolate nipples
and big aureoles. I groped both the breast with my hands and my lips descended to the nipples.
The moment I sucked the nipples
my sister gave a groan and milk started to jut out into his mouth.
Suddenly the baby started to cry
and my sister forcefully pushed me out away.
She tried to cover her breast with the Saree
while picking up the baby
and quickly ran to another, ' ROOM but not that far away.
I was really disappointed
and at that moment mine too by her made a leek
as I thought that the milk
which I had drunk from my sister is gone through me as well.
But I was afraid
as if she might tell to our mama about this
and I thought about the other situations.
It will be a big shame for me.
So I had decided to leave San Fransisco, as early as possible.
Next morning I woke early and packed my dress
and told mama that I am going to my home
and then he called my sister
and I was afraid and shame to look into her eyes
and I said goodbye to her in a low voice
and mama dropped me OFF at the bus stand.
I thanked God for several times
because if mama came to know about that
what will be ours the news situation.
But my sister asked me to wait until again next year, she became.

You're a Sister, My Sister

To my sister Julia, who will do great things...

We never had planned this
We never tried.
You're a siter, my sister,
And I still ask why.

All the fighting and noise
And pulling hair;
You're a sister, my sister,
And it's just not fair.

We're sisters, and sometimes
I regret it.
Yet because of you, I'll
Never forget it!

BUT...

Through our ups and downs
This much is true:
You're a sister, my sister,
And I still love you.

My Canadian Chronicles 17

A group of us went to see a museum,
but unfortunately, it was closed.
We stood and talked to the Porter
asking when it would be open again
and how much it would cost.
My friend Melvina said we are seniors
and we will be back again.
“Oh yes, mum we will,
and can I have some candy
the next time we come mum? ”
A silly grin abolishing my face.
With everything she said
like a parrot, I followed with “Yes mum.”
The laughter rang out among us
every time I said “mum.”
Mel is only a couple of months older than me
and is my big sister really.
We cannot be twins
because I am bleached a little bit,
but she is still my sister
after all said and done.
“Aren’t you mum? ”
