River Of Joy

When you cross the river of joy
don’t look back, at the disappointments you leave behind.
Think of the life ahead
and the happiness you will have.
Think of the lessons you have learnt
in the troubled times that plagued your life.
Look towards the rising sun on the horizon
that brings you a new dawning day.

I Feel You

I feel you
Your sun it shines
I feel you
Within my mind
You take me there
You take me where
My kingdom comes
You take me to
Leave me through
Babylon
This is the morning of our love
It's just the dawning of our love
I feel you
Your heart it sings
I feel you
The joy it brings
Where heaven waits
These golden gates
Back again
You take me to
Leave me through
Oblivion
This is the morning of our love
It's just the dawning of our love
I feel you
Your precious soul
I'm a whole
I feel you
Your rising sun
My kingdom comes
I feel you
Each move you make
I feel you
Each breath you take
Where angels sing
And spread their wings
Our love's on high
You take me home
To glory's throne
By and by
This is the morning of our love
It's just the dawning of our love
This is the morning of our love
It's just the dawning of our love
I feel you
Your precious soul
I'm a whole
I feel you
Your rising sun
My kingdom comes

A Lesson From Escalante

It was an instant in eternity
Some words that strike and linger

Touch cords in one's humanity
With wisdom to make one ponder

In life we face inevitable truth
There is some failure and defeat

But lessons learned from these bear fruit
When falling comes, to rise and meet

Again to face life's challenges
To not bow down nor count the falling

But to write there boldly in life's pages
The many times one gets up... rising.

'In life, you don't count the many times you fall -
you count the many times you get up.'

(Jaime Escalante)

Travels In Nihilon

Youve learnt no lessons
All that time so cheaply spent
Theres no youth culture
Only masks they let you rent
Travels, travels in nihilon
Weve seen, no jesus come and gone
Fashion, their vampire
Drapes itself across your back
As you fall from style
It waits rebirth on its rack
Building your whimsy
Hypnotising you to need
Dance goes full circle
One step ahead of your greed
Youve learnt no lessons
All those years to get it right
Flashes of promise
Burn out faster than strobe light

No turning point

Up ahead I see
the sky and sea
on the horizon
becoming one.

The blue into blue
fading into each other
and you and I
are looking
from the window
of a airplane
as if we can fly.

Roads turn, twist
and cross
and run in all directions
and nowhere
I can find
a turning point
that brings us
back to each other.

The warm touch,
the breath on my cheek,
the magic of eye
dissolving into eye
are broken with tears.

After this flight
our travels will go on
into different directions
and from my life
you will be gone.

Footsteps Of Dawn

The morning Sun 'tis tip-toeing...
With its gentle orange rays...
Beaming steps from this tangerine orb...
Opens up a brand new day;

Gentle steps they come so softly...
'Cross the horizons of the East-
A colour kalidescope as it rises...
A sky of brillant colours-a morning feast;

Yes, the footsteps of Dawn-
They just came tip-toeing on in...
Rising ever bright- thus closing the night...
Aurora 'tis Dawning-a new day begins;

Troubled Times

Troubled times again are here.
It seems they leave, then reappear.
But that's an illusion that's not real.
For some it's always what they feel.

The ones who have no say at all,
hungry, thirsty since they were small.
Their troubled times are nothing new,
not like the ones that we're used to.

We equate these times with the price of gas
and think to ourselves 'this too shall pass.'
We equate these times to climate change
and think to ourselves it's all so strange.

What's strange my friends is how we perceive
that troubled times are just what we receive.
Troubled times are never really gone.
They come to some on each new dawn.

No Regrets! ! !

Mindless jobs of long hours

Happiness nil, spirits sour

Work is critical, for dues n bills

Life so hard, in perpetual drill

Why it has so much to bear

Blessed only ones, but many despairs

Asking for more, losing moderations

Outlook to life needs contemplations

Happiness was there, always around us

Ignored it, indulged in petty wrong fuss

High earnings and status, we ran after

Were behind pace, so moved faster

The little pleasures of life were neglected

Happiness and life, were so disconnected

After the triumph when looked back

Found meaningless success, nothing intact

Still got time to clean things up

Every day brings new chance, fresh start ups

Life mustn't end in grieves and regrets

Lessons must be learned, Pattern require a reset.

What You See

Each day we walk life’s road
with its twists and turns
never knowing what the next corner brings.
For some it is great happiness
for others it is great pain
regardless we walk it just the same.
Our destiny is in the hands of someone
who directs us on our way.
We are taught that knowing great sorrow
we can embrace joy more tightly
whenever it comes our way.
It is the same with heartbreak
and love when it comes.
Each day is an adventure
we individually share
from the dawning sunshine
and dark clouds filled with rain.
The romance in the moonlight
and the disappointments in love’s crazy game.
We are who we are
and no one can ever change that.
If we are kind
that is the way we are meant to be.
Therefore, if you take me as a friend
what you see is what you get
until the very end.

Times Of Trouble

Times of trouble come and go.
Some who are troubled
don't even know.
They've had no times
when life was sweet
except for the times when they could eat
scraps of food
disgarded by those
who look at them
and turn up their nose.

Times of trouble come and go.
Some that weren't troubled now will know
the abject horror
of how it feels
to miss your lunch 'and miss your meals.
They'll gather together
and ask the Lord whether
this trouble will leave
so they can believe
again.

Our Way At Giving Poetry A Contemporary Name

poetry is just a flow of the river, taking away what is floating there
everything, from the heart to the vastness of the sea,
you get carried, not just by the substance of the river in-itself,
but also of the sound of the flow so uniquely yours, unequaled even
by the perfection of those who were here ahead of you,

you get carried away, you become the river itself, the leaf, the sand,
the bubble, the fish, the twigs, the paper boat, the shadow of the clouds
the mirror of the sky, clear so clear, murky and so murky, you flow

to be one with the sea, the horizon, you become more and less,
you get carried away both with the bulk and the bulge and the budge,
you get carried away, you lose yourself with the wind, you hear all the
sounds, you talk and walk, and then you feel the happiness of the earth
and the sky and the whole of the galaxy.

There exists no borders of time. It is all space. Bliss.
There are no lessons, not even visions, there is only the universal lull.

Lessons

Lessons are learnt to display hurt of the unruly parties,
As they joke and burden their souls with grief of life.
Angers are perverse creations, created by demigods,
Which parley with dangers of the soceity they sparkle in.
Solid anger is against all desire, anticipated by the masculine person,
A man, who seeks education and mastery of life.
He cannot ask of the living class, the loving class, the lovely class,
And as a woman he does not act, yet gets fighting with the chieftain,
Only to withdraw his standard and be rejected.
Lessons are learnt and jobs are conducted.

The Best Of Times

They were the best of times
when men were kind.
They were the best of times,
now hard to find.
What's happened to some human hearts?
Why is it the kindness now departs?
The reverence for life
is inundated
by the flooding of human tears
and as it's rising like tidal waves
all that man reveres
is giving way to the worst of times
that gives us pause to reflect,
to search for reasons to teach us
how to detect
why the kindness has gone away.
If ever your faith has taken leave
'Tis forever then your heart shall grieve.
For with your faith kindness returns
and brings back the best of times.
And so we must search for the goodness again
and ignore man's unkind crimes.

Sacrifices

Autumn leaves have fallen
across long forgotten battlefields
where deep below the ground
the dead lie asleep.
Their lives torn apart
by some wicked war.
There they have immortality
for they will age no more.
Their sleep is restless
for from their deaths,
no lessons were learnt
and men and boys keep killing
in constant wicked wars.
On the eleventh hour,
of the eleventh day,
of the eleventh month
we stand in silence
to honour their memory
for the sacrifices they made,
but we have never learnt the lessons

This poem is dedicated to the memory of the men, women and children from all countries that have lost their lives in wars that have plagued our world. May their souls rest in eternal peace.
for which their lives they gave
as the killing still goes on and on.

There Are Poems That Tear The Soul

There are poems that tear the soul
And leave us gasping for breath
They make us recall
Our losses in life
And our disappointments
They hurt us with their Beauty
And we do not know
What to do with them.

Like people we loved once
Who are far away
And like times in our life
Which were happy
And now are recalled in regret
There are poems that tear the soul
And leave us wondering
Why all this pain is life
And why there is
So much we will never know or have
Though we long for and would die for.

Come Into My Life

Come into my life
(Chorus:)
Come into my life again
I will get back to you and then
You can take me right
Come into my life my love
I know i cannot get enough
Enough of you tonight
Oh, come into my life
Oh, baby hold me tight
Come into my life my love
I know I cannot get enough of you
Come into my life again
I wanna see you, love you, feel you
When were getting old the time goes by
It aint to late before we die
We gonna leave the bad times
And we gonna leave everything behind again
You know, you re always on my mind
We gonna leave everything behind
(Chorus 1x)
You came like a thief at night
You broke the door and took me right
Now I pack my bangs and go
To hunt you, somewhere else, i know
We gonna leave the bad times and
We gonna leave everything behind again
You know, you re always on my mind
We gonna leave everything behind
Come into my life
Come into my life
(Chorus 1x)
Come into my life
Come into my life
Come into my life

Secure Eternally

Not knowing what God is doing, you can always be assured,
When He has anything brewing, it’s for the Glory of our Lord,
Friend, every single jot and tittle, penned by God for our life,
No matter how large or little, is for the Praise of Jesus Christ.

Never knowing our tomorrow, and what a new day may bring,
Whether it brings joy or sorrow, God allows our heart to sing,
A new song, lifted up in Praise, to our Blessed Savior above,
Jesus, who forever and always, guides us in His tender Love.

As our Rock, The Rock of Ages, He is for us, a solid ground,
And while life’s river rages, He is our Anchor, sure and sound,
A Rock and Anchor forever strong, is our Savior Christ Jesus,
And as things appear so wrong, Christ alone takes care of us.

In these uncertain times ahead, with the days as dark as night,
Even in that very midst of dread, Christ is our source of Light,
In these ominous times now cast, from the world’s uncertainty.
For believers, they will not last, looking in the Light of Eternity.

God’s working out His perfect will, through each believer’s life,
So a believer’s heart can be still, when we trust in Jesus Christ,
The Author of Life and Salvation, and times we have yet to see,
And according to His Revelation, we are secure in Him eternally.

Life a school, learning the living

Life, a school
With no class rooms
With no black boards
With no one standing before you and teaching
With no tests
With no exams
With no marks, ranks and promotions
With no books
Life, a school
And you are in the same standard or class life through

Who is teaching, but
Everyone you come across and
Everything nearby
From just born to the one waiting to depart
The leaf dancing to the tunes of the wind
The car that is speeding by your side
The plane flying up in the sky
The water flowing gently in the stream
The stars twinkling in the dark sky
The colourful horizon at the other end
The mist, cloud, smoke and emission
The small ant busy carrying a much-bigger-to-its-size dry leaf
The butterfly jumping from flower to flower
All have potentials to teach,
If you have the desire to learn

What do they teach
To remain happy ever
To help others improve their status of happiness
To keep yourself balanced in all situations
To go ahead with your work emotion free
To stay healthy and be kicking
To be special of your own
To be social and sociable
To lead and to be an active part in team
Not to lose time in dreams and wasteful thinking
Not to be lazy and lost
Not to feel unwanted
And quite a number of other things for lively living
And to apply what all you learnt
And just not remeber and pour it out for scoring marks

Who assesses performance?
You and you only
As you only know what was taught
And you only know what was learnt
The more you apply what you learnt
The better is your performance
Know your performace from
How long you stay cool
How many derive benefits of your existence
How many call on you
And how many you call on
How do others respond to your requests
How you respond to their requests
How innovative and creative you remain
How many times you laugh in a day
Assess yourself, if not satisfactory,
Apply more and more of what is learnt
At the same learn more and more

What is the syllabus
It is for you decide
As you are the examiner
You are the taught
You are the student
You are the evaluator
You are the Vice Chancellor of your Life University
Set the syllabus yourself
Check then and there how far you are covering
Fail not to apply, whatever is learnt

What happens if you fail
You will remain where you are, not an inch ahead you can move
You become stagnated and start stinking
No one will be there near
No one play with you, laugh or cry with you
You will not be special, but a specimen
You will have life, but really, are dead

People say
Learn to Live
Let us change that a bit
Live to learn
As life is a school
and learning is living

Juno Gave the Summer

A sun for hearts – tempered rhythm in her flares;
The naked tan – bikini line a cry for stares;
Gregarious green, beguiled by colours en rapport –
The park’s alive! So what’s to hanker after more?

Children scream while parents dream their fantasies,
Igniting under brilliance –
They think they share resilience to the
Ultraviolet hues;
To lie displayed au naturel
Is what they’d rather choose!

And Helios peers at lovers in their
Heady worlds: vibrant leas to
Roam in hand; calming seas –
Satin sand insensible as
Water runs her ripples cross the
Shore – so like the park, it really
Cries for very little more!

In the garden, roses clamber for attention –
Pouting blooms, wafting scent –
Our floral monarch June’s event!
And fingers green receive the praise
From toiling hard for coloured blaze.

Compelled, I walk the countenance of sunny June
As Mother Nature danced amok in her saloon
Of roaring life, that came of youth in early spring
And nurtured in maternal warmth beneath her wing.

Eyes bedewed, I mellow in a reverie
– Hope renewed –
As Juno saw to suckle me with
Quintessential summer.

Samuel

Why have you came to me now? !
Since, you were hostile to me;
But like the weed of Esek,
I hope that you've learnt your lessons well.

Life is how you make it,
And my mind is for peace at all times;
But like the well of Sitnah,
You need to learn always oh Samuel.
