Prisoner
There are no bars around my prison
At least none that you can see.
No wall to fence me in
Only blue sky above my head.
Still I am a prisoner
With a life sentence ahead of me
And there is no escaping,
As my prison has no key.
Cupid fired his arrow
And that captured me
Making me forever
A prisoner of love.

Prisoner Number 1416111981
I am a prisoner and my Cell Number is 1416111981,
I am a prisoner of love and i am now trappedon this river of love;
But, trying to escape from this prison on two occassions failled.
I am a prisoner and my Cell Number is 1416111981,
So do visit me at this river of love;
There you will see the red gate which trapped me on two occassions.
This prison had been my home for many years and,
This love is around my neck like the love of an apple;
But, one day i will be free at last.
Come to Cell Number 1416111981 to hear my story,
For this river of love was all that took me there.
I am Prisoner Number 1416111981,
And two attempts to escape from this prison had failled me;
But one day i will be free at last after serving my terms.

Love Is All That Matters
(eric carmen)
Lost in a dance
Waiting for the chance
All I really needed was to love you
Night after night
Searchin for the light
You saved me
You gave me something I could feel
Love is all that matters
Faithful and forever
Keepin us together
Love is all we need
Prisoner of illusion
Sentence is suspended
Loneliness is ended
Love has set me free
Dreams from the past
Comin true at last
Never noticed how my life was changing
Now I can see
All that love can be
You saved me
You gave me
Something that was real
Love is all that matters
Faithful and forever
Keepin us together
Love is all we need
Prisoner of illusion
Sentence is suspended
Loneliness is ended
Love has set me free
Love is all that matters
Faithful and forever
Keepin us together
Love is all we need
Prisoner of illusion
Sentence is suspended
Loneliness is ended
Love has set me free

Prisoner Of Your Eyes
When I saw your face
I became a prisoner of your eyes
And I would do just anything
To stay and be with you.
You know there are times
When I let myself wonder
As I was going under
You Pulled me back to earth
Don't you hear me crying
Take me in your arms again
Tell me that you're trying
Or is our love a lie
Love is blind
And love deceives you
You came along and captured me
Now I'm a prisoner of your eyes
Trapped in time
I cannot leave you
I'm just a prisoner of your eyes
As each day goes by
I've given up completely
I've locked myself inside your heart
And thrown away the key
Only time will tell
If I can live without you
Can you live without you
Can you see into the future
Will you ever set me free
Don't you hear me crying
Take me into your arms again
Tell me that you're trying
Or is our love a lie
Love is blind
And love decieves you
You came along and captured me
Now I'm a prisoner of your eyes
Trapped in time
I cannot leave you
I'm just a prisoner of your eyes
In this heartache
We can try and start again
Stop the heartbreak
A little time will help to kill the pain.

I captured a butterfly in a jar
I captured a butterfly in a jar
I danced around in the grass for hours
Chasing it down stumbling falling laughing
Making the chase the most rewarding
I captured a butterfly in a jar
There it was for me to hold and keep forever
Anytime I wanted to relish in the joy of life
There it was for me to look upon
I captured a butterfly in a jar
Time eroded on and all things change
The butterfly became just another bug
Trapped in a glass cage
I captured a butterfly in a jar
And saw how sad it truly was
A prisoner and I the jailer
I had to let it go
I captured a butterfly in a jar
I opened that lid and allowed it to go
And it flew away far from me
It left me yearning for that summer day
I captured a butterfly in a jar
But maybe it captured me
Because ever since that butterfly flew away
I have never again felt free
Prisoner
Time has come to say goodbye
To the broken memories
Theyre locked inside like prisoners
In a place that no-one sees
Stayed up late with a friend of mine
Southern comfort till dawn
We talked about the pains of love
Shouldve known from
The start you were wrong
Im just a prisoner
Dont wanna lock myself away
Prisoner - I get so lonely, lonely
Im a prisoner
Just when do you think love will stay
It walks right out on you - out on you
Tired blood runs through my veins
But I cant get no sleep
You lock my heart
In these prison walls
This place Ive got to leave
Im a prisoner
Dont wanna lock myself away
Prisoner - I get so lonely, lonely
Im a prisoner
Just when do you think love will stay
It walks right out on you - out on you
The sky is grey, its raining
Like the storm in my heart
There aint no use explaining
cause Im leaving, leaving
Wont somebody set me free
Take me away from this misery
I get so lonely
I get so lonely, lonely, lonely
Wont somebody set me free
Please, please, set me free

Prisoner Of Love
Ive gotta run away from you
If I wanna save myself
And theres nothing I can do
To break your magic spell
You are evil and you show it
With your eyes
Oh, and the way your body moves
Just keeps me hipnotized
cos Im a prisoner of love
Someone rescue me
Release me from this state of mind
I was born to be free
Just a prisoner of love
Come on let me be cos if loving you is my crime
Go on and close the door on me
Oh, Ive been convicted for the crime
I have been done
But if losing you is my sentence
Id rather lose my life
Can someone help me
Help me keep my sanity
cos I love this evil force
Thats taking over me
cos Im a prisoner of love
Someone rescue me
Release me from this state of mind
I was born to be free
Just a prisoner of love
Come on let me be
cos if loving you is my crime
Go on and close the door on me
cos Im a prisoner of love
Someone rescue me
Release me from this state of mind
I was born to be free
Just a prisoner of love
Come on let me be
cos if loving you is my crime
Go on and close the door on me

Prisoner
I'm not a prisoner
I just can't be
Waiting every Tuesday to tune into tv
Being hypnotized by the stars
while they take away our rights to put us right behind bars
I can't be a prisoner
there's no way
Hey did you know I'm on their prescription drugs so that way
I can be a Slave to their political ways and not notice
The subliminal waves to be controlled and locked up and put away
I'm also eating a lot isn't that weird
fat, lazy and have no drive to vote
But hey I'll take a douhble cheeseburgers without fear
No I'm not a prisoner I'm bright
But wait if my government does take away my rights
Will I fight?
Probably not cause I'm scarred, what if I get hauled off to jail
freedom of assemble Seems to fail
and what the hell
am I doing
I'm losing my train of thought is it the ADHD
Or is the man trying to control me.
I'm not prisoner
ok I admit it
I'm fat, stupid and addicted to these figments
On TV and oh I like the pills they gave me
I really don't care about anything
I'm finally a prisoner
I'm regretting never paying attention
These metal bars really put reality into perspective
Controlled by a system today
Learn your facts
or get picked up, cuffed and locked away

Prisoner
- m. carey - b. margulies -
You dont think that Ill be strong enough
Nooo baby now
I wont be a prisoner of your love
(prisoner of your love)
Maybe you dont think I love you strong enough
But Im not gonna be a prisoner of your love
I know youre lyin, denyin
All of your actions, so listen up
Cause heres my reaction
Here comes the night
No more living in the shadow of your love
This is my life
Always tried so hard to keep me down
But now Ill rise above
Those empty lies
Stop pretending that my accusations
Take you by surprise
Ive realized
Now Im ending all the secrecy
I see through your disguise
All the dreams we planned
I believed so I held on
I understand
So when the morning comes
You know that Ill be gone
You dont think that Ill be strong enough
Nooo baby now
I wont be a prisoner of your love
(prisoner of your love)
No longer blind
I can focus on deception
Used to keep me by your side
I read your mind
Dont believe its all a mystery
Theres nothing you can hide
Its all defined
Theres nothing you can tell me now
To change the way I feel inside
All the dreams we planned
I believed so I held on
I understand, yeah
So when the morning comes
You know that Ill be gone
(you dont think) that Ill be strong enough
Noo baby now
(I wont be) the prisoner of your love
(prisoner of your love)
Im just not the girl you thought I was
Not gonna be a prisoner
I wont be the prisoner of your love
Of your
Looove
Dont wanna be a prisoner
I dont wanna be a prisoner
No
Mmmh
Dont wanna be a prisoner
I dont wanna be a prisoner
So if you wanna be my love
You cant be all wild
Play up when
You see me and then say mariah I miss you
Expect me to hug and kiss you?
Dont that dis you?
But I guess Im not the kind of girl you thought I was
Ive had enough of now Ill see ya later cause...
Boy make me know that Ill be strong enough
But I wont be a prisoner baby of your love
No more no more no more no more no more no more
No nooo, baby now
I wont think
(no no no)
Prisoner of your loooove
(prisoner of your love)
(Im just not) the girl you thought I was
Oh
Not gonna be a prisoner
(not gonna be)
(I wont be) the prisoner of your
Love
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah
Im not one of those girls wholl wait around
Cryin cause you wouldnt take me all over town
You cant do that
Im not a door mat
Youre just a player
Thats not my format

Lover For Life
I hope that you realize baby, just what you mean to me
Hey you where I run for cover, your loving shelter for me
And when I find myself needing some lifting up
One night with you and that always is enough
Hey you make being in love, a true rare affair
So take me Im your prisoner
Chorus:
Will you sentence me to be your lover for life
Your lover for life
Will you sentence me, I want to be you lover for life
Your lover for life
I just want to hear you say
Youll be my lover, lover for life
Capture, theres no getaway
Youre my lover, my lover for life
Under your spell or under my own power
It really doesnt matter to me
See I fell in love the first time I saw you
And have been falling in love ever since
You heard my testimony, youve seen my evidence
Hey, its a crime of passion, in every sense
And justice wont be served, till you stay here in my world
Take me Im your prisoner

Rays Of Hope
RAYS OF HOPE
Hole of the cell brings the hope of rays,
These rays are sun-rays
Which dance in the cell of prison from morning to evening?
In morning when sun-rays touch my forehead
They recall the blessings of my mother and father.
In evening when sun-rays lit up the wall of the cell
They tell me that miseries are not universal,
They end as night ends in the morning.
Sun-rays also memorizes the morning of my village and sun set on the hill near the village.
These rays also vitalize me and create patient in me so I can bear the difficulties of the prison.
Now I am hopeful that in near future I will come out from the prison and meet my beloved people.
Because they are waiting for me as I am waiting for the sun-rays of the morning.

Suicide note
I'm sorry but I have to go now.
I refuse to live a life of bollocks.
I aint gonna live in pain.
Bollocks to those who think I should live.
I was born to be used.
I was born to be a tourtured soul.
I was born to be abused and attacked.
I was born for others pleasure.
I didn't dare to speak.
Only told three times.
Didn't ever dare to grass.
They said they get me otherwise.
Pressure has built over the years.
Eating away at me.
Not letting me be free.
Not giving me an escape route.
Always locking me in a prison.
I was a prisoner of my shadow.
I was a prisoner of many things.
But now I've escaped from life.
I'm no longer a prisoner of life.
I'm at some sort of peace.
Bastards used me for thier twisted ways.
They cant do it now though.
Now I'm dead and cold in my grave.
Still not understanding why.
Why people can be so cruel.
None of that matters now though Im gone.
Im free.
Free from my pain.
And free from life

The parrot
Cage in like in a prison
it walks up and down
and looks at itself in the mirror
and it gets food and water
and the days pass
and water and food it gets
and in its prison it has to stay
and it remembers the green woods
and the odours of bananas
and berries and nuts
and the blue sky
that is open and free
and streams
where the most delicious water flows.
It calls to its mate
and ask for salvation
and nobody and nothing comes
and out of the humdrum
it starts to imitate sounds
and its people
take it out of its cage
and scratches its head
and cuts its wings
and bring delicacies,
but back to its prison
it must go en its serve it sentence
until it dies.

A Prisoner
Woke up this morning
feeling my life had changed.
I felt like a prisoner
with invisible bars surrounding me.
There seemed no way to escape
the torment that I feel.
My life seems to be forced
by some unwanted guiding hand.
Every move I make
is scrutinised very carefully,
no freedom of choice can be made.
My life never seems to be my own.
A shadow of despair
hangs over me like a angry cloud,
it follows me wherever I go,
complains if I do things
that are not what they would do.
It’s like being a prisoner
with a warder constantly at your side.
You cannot even breathe
without them being there.
Life has become stifled and stolen,
and there is little you can do.
You wish you could go back,
change a few things if you could,
but you cannot and so you go on.
Feeling like a prisoner
with invisible bar surrounding you.

Locked Inside Your Prison
Your love is like a prison wall
And its getting higher
I get so far and then I fall
I cant get through the wire
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Its as though Im doing time
And you wont free me
Let the punishment befit the crime
And say you need me
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Save me save me cant you see Im innocent
Turn the key that will set me free
Please let it end oh let it end
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Save me save me cant you see Im innocent
Turn the key that will set me free
Please let it end wont you let it end
Ill dig a tunnel to your heart
Let me remind you
Even gonna tear the walls apart
Until I find you
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison

~ A Prisoner Of Your Love ~ [Double Acrostic]
A prisoner of your love. I stand behind four walls of gray.
- Alone; your memory my only company, each solitary day.
Locked down; twenty four hours around the clock, without you near.
- Living dreams of the past it seems, are all that I hold dear.
Constantly and always there, memories of you flow through the air.
- Constantly reminding me of our love. That we no longer share.
A prisoner of your love. Can I do the time? That's my only fear.
- And now the echo's of my lonely heart are the only sounds I hear.
Trapped; in this cinder block room. Shadows of gloom are here to stay.
- Trapped here without your love, as my blood turns prison gray.
Release may never come to me. This cell's become my home you see.
- Reliving how things used to be, in this gray walled penitentiary.
Alcatraz; is where I dwell. Where these gray walls are my living hell.
- Although one day escape I may. Right now's too soon to tell.
Zenith's, I know our love had reached. I'll love you still as time goes on.
- Zealously i'll wait for thee on ''The Rock''; till my last breath is gone..

Author notes:
Written in double Acrostic -
This poem was inspired by a picture of Alcatraz Prison
''The Rock'' as they called it then. Built in 1866, closed
one hundred years later - and a poem written by one the
prisoners:
Untitled -
I awaken to gray
And gray is my morning sun
I live gray
And all days are like one
There are no colors
Only shadows along the way
Sometimes I think, the blood in my body
Must also be prison gray

They're not supposed to show prison films in prison. Especially ones that are about escaping.

The Prisoner
Im thanking you for opening my eyes so clear
And sweeping old illusions from my soul
But most of all for turning something simple and sincere
Into somethin jaded and as jive as rock n roll.
Chorus:
Aint you always looked at lovin like a four letter word
That I made up to make you ill at ease
I fought to free you from your castle of despair
til I saw the prison wall was me
See the soul who calls itself a prisoner
cause its still too frightened to be free
I feel so much older now, and wiser
Aint it sad how lonesome that can be.
Chorus:
Aint you always looked at lovin like a four letter word
That I made up to make you ill at ease
I fought to free you from your castle of despair
til I saw the prison wall was me
Chorus:
Aint you always looked at lovin like a four letter word
That I made up to make you ill at ease
I fought to free you from your castle of despair
til I saw the prison wall was me

Born In A Prison
Were born in a prison, raised in a prison,
Sent to a prison called school.
We cry in a prison, we love in a prison,
We dream in a prison like fools.
Wood becomes a flute when its loved,
Reach for yourself and your battered mates.
Mirror becomes a razor when its broken,
Look in the mirror and see your shattered fate.
We live with no reason, kicked round for no reason,
Thrown out without reason like tools.
We work in a prison and hate in a prison,
And die in a prison as a rule.
Wood becomes a flute when its loved,
Reach for yourself and your battered mates.
Mirror becomes a razor when its broken,
Look in the mirror and see your shattered fate.
We live in a prison mong judges and wardens
And wait for no reason for you.
We laugh in a prison, go through all four seasons,
And die with no vision of truth.
Wood becomes a flute when its loved,
Reach for yourself and your battered mates.
Mirror becomes a razor when its broken,
Look in the mirror and see your shattered fate.
Born in a prison!
(born in a prison!)
(born in a prison!)
(born in a prison!)
Born in a prison!
(born in a prison!)
(born in a prison!)
Born in a prison!
Born in a prison!
Born in a prison!
