Hours In My Care
The cards are dealt
for a lonely game of solitaire
that I shall play to while away
the hours in my care.
Then to an empty bed, I go
to wait for morning light
and dream of my love
whom I’ll be with
come tomorrow night.

Solitaire 2
Solitaire is a game people play
to fill the empty hours
and nudge loneliness gently away.
They sit and deal the cards,
playing game after game
hoping to blank the mind
from any emotions they feel.

Solitaire
Carl nutter, renee borek, king guion
Since youve gone I spend each lonely night,
Dealing out the cards from left to right,
And the king of hearts is there to remind me
That Im all alone playing solitaire.
Love was just another game for two,
I see now thats all it meant to you,
And my heart got lost somewhere in the shuffle,
So Im all alone playing solitaire
In each romance theres an element of chance,
A gamble to win or to lose,
You play to win, then you find youre playing in a game with no rules,
Just made for fools.
Now, the joker has a laugh on me,
cause I played my hand so carelessly,
And until you wanna share that old feeling,
Ill be dealing time away with solitaire.
And until you want to share that old feeling,
Ill be dealing time away, dealing time away with solitaire.

Solitair, a teacher
Solitaire is a card game
Developed for playing
By self with no opponent
The fact is you are
Playing your own self
This is what
Solitaire teaches you
You shuffle cards
You distribute them
Upside down
Over eight or ten rows
Not knowing which card
Lays where and in what order
Keeping only the top layer open
You start arranging
Cards in descending order
As you move an open card
The card immediately under
Opens up
The card opening up may or may ot be
Matching your requirements
While opening up card
Depends on your luck
Card moving is totally
Left to you and
A lot depends on your skill
But you keep playing
Till the time either you win
By accumulating suits in order
Or when you get stuck
With no more moving of cards possible
And you lose the game
Life is like that only
And as in solitaire you play it alone
Though you seemingly have partners
And you must know that
You are all alone playing your game
You act on visible opportunities
And as you act upon this
New venues opening up
One by one
Either to your surprise or shock
Still you keep playing the game of life
Expecting each time when you act
There will be favourable changes
And with further scopes for gaining
The only difference is that
You quit the game in solitaire
But in life the game leaves you
At its discretion
Leaving you to wonder
Whether you are a winner or loser

The Hand That’s Dealt
A game of chance and double bluff
Deception relies upon the blink of an eye
The will to stand firm and do not fight
The hand that’s dealt decider of life
Do not blink or suspect the lie
For the experienced hand knows well
That a truth can become rewritten
To be believed with utter conviction
Judge not the night to come
Nor the morning after
Stay firm and resolute in all you see
Lest you miss a turn of the cards
The slide of hand, a change in play
A silence shall speak to answer suspicion
Upon the final call, a wait is over
And the hands that’s dealt
It shall deliver

Tomorrow
wake up me wake up me tomorrow
tomorrow is my date
the harmony tomorrow will come
wait me tomorrow wait me
tomorrow is my day
tomorrow is other day
and other fate
the light is an other light an other life
obscure but fair
for us with love
tomorrow is hope
tomorrow is heal
so call me tomorrow
still today is not gone
tomorrow is not came
but for sure the darkness will fade
and the day of tomorrow will come
the day of the freeman with faith
the day of praying with love will come
at the hill of Jerusalem tomorrow
with love
with care
for all tomorrow will come with peace
then for long in peace
in peace
in peace
in peace....

Solitaire
(words & music by neil sedaka - justin cody)
There was a man, a lonely man
Who lost his love, thru his indifference
A heart that cared that went unshared
Until it died within his silence
And solitaire is the only game in town
And every road that takes him, takes him down
While life goes on around him everywhere
Hes playing solitaire
And keeping to himself, begins to deal
And still the king of hearts is well concealed
Another losing games comes to an end
And deals them out again
A little hope goes up in smoke
Just how it goes, goes without saying
There was a man, a lonely man
Who would command the hand hes playing
And solitaire is the only game in town
And every road that takes him, takes him down
While life goes on around him everywhere
Hes playing solitaire
And keeping to himself, begins to deal
And still the king of hearts is well concealed
Another losing games comes to an end
And deals them out again
And solitaire is the only game in town
And every road that takes him, takes him down
While life goes on around him everywhere
Hes playing solitaire

Cant It Wait Until Tomorrow
(nickolas ashford/valerie simpson)
I know youre standing there
Trying to say the words
You took so long to prepare
But I laugh, pretending I dont see
Cause I dont wanna hear
What you got to say to me
Cant it wait until tomorrow
Before you bring me the showers
Cant it wait until tomorrow
Give me 24 more hours
I ve seen it coming for quite sometime now
Dont you know Ive tried to stop it
In every way I know how
And I know its hard for you
As it is for me
So listen to my heart
Begging desperately
Cant it wait until tomorrow
Before you bring me the showers
Oh wait until tomorrow
Give me 24 more hours
Baby please give me 24 more hours
Cant it wait until tomorrow
Before you bring me the showers
Cant it wait until tomorrow
Give me 24 more hours
Cant it wait until tomorrow
Before you bring me the showers
Oh wait until tomorrow
Give me 24 more hours

Hope
When I do not understand the darkness,
the things that prison you away from me
at places where no light can fall
it’s as if my whole life is extradited
to the one or other power
which destiny claims as its own
and I am just another player
who in Black Jack can count cards
but this is a totally different game
where the power of destiny
and of luck
always has the upper hand
and at times like in Hearts
you fold
and put your cards down on the table
and not always
are dealt the right, the best hand
by forces which you do not comprehend
are forced
to keep on playing the game
while life keeps on
dealing out new cards
and at times the loss is far greater
than you can comprehend
and you loose the hope
of a new tomorrow, of deliverance
somewhere along the way
and wonder about the hope,
the power of love.

This Poem Of The Morning
This poem of the morning
Is meant to tell
What all morning poems are
But who can know another’s morning?
And who can know another’s night?
We live each day
As that day is
I am here now
Will I be here tomorrow?
I wait for this day’s light
This day’s hope
This day’s struggle against the night
It is not even light yet
And I am here ‘calling it ‘morning’
Let me I pray God
When the light comes
Have the strength
To live this day
With all the light and love
You enable me to give..

The Lover And The Gamber
She sat on a bar stool,
her long legs dangling there,
drinking a coloured mix,
they called The Country Fair.
He sat at a table,
deck of cards in his hand,
laying them down for a game of solitaire,
the lover and the gambler.
For a brief few seconds,
as they looked around,
their eyes met in sweet seduction,
in that smoky bar downtown.
As the evening wore,
and customers began to leave,
it just left the two of them there,
the lover and the gambler.
Now if he played his cards,
close to his chest,
maybe with a bit of luck,
love would do the rest.
They looked again,
with a long lingering look.
She joined him at the table,
watched the hand that he dealt.
Each card was a heart;
cupid caught them both that night.
For now the lover and the gambler,
are now man and wife.

Dream Weaver
Dream weaver
Ive just closed my eyes again
Climbed aboard the dream weaver train
Driver take away my worries of today
And leave tomorrow behind
Ooh dream weaver
I believe you can get me through the night
Ooh dream weaver
I believe we can reach the morning light
Fly me high through the starry skies
Maybe to an astral plane
Cross the highways of fantasy
Help me to forget todays pain
Ooh dream weaver
I believe you can get me through the night
Ooh dream weaver
I believe we can reach the morning light
Though the dawn may be coming soon
There still may be some time
Fly me away to the bright side of the moon
And meet me on the other side
Ooh dream weaver
I believe you can get me through the night
Ooh dream weaver
I believe we can reach the morning light

Its Not Enough
If you want my love tell me bout tomorrow
Cause I cant wait one more day
Cold in the night waiting for a promise
So all alone Im hanging on
Woman dont play this game
Youll never get my lovin this way
All this time youve been livin for the moment
It works for some, but not for me no
Chorus:
Its not enough, to tell me you love me
Its not enough, to tell me that you care (yeah)
Its not enough, to tell me you want me
Darlin you know deep inside
If you want my love, then girl you must show me
(not enough) oh show me girl
We can make it last if we hold on till tomorrow
Or will we throw it away
Empty words you say you want to please me
But half a heart wont make it right
Its not enough to tell me you love me
Its not enough to tell me that you cried (yeah)
Its not enough to tell me youre sorry
Darlin you know deep inside
If you want my love, then girl you must show me
(not enough)
(guitar solo)
Empty words you say you want to please me
But half a heart wont make it right no
Its not enough to tell me you love me
Its not enough to tell me that you care (yeah)
Its not enough to tell me you want me
Darlin you know
Not enough to tell me you need me
Its not enough to tell me that you cried (yeah)
Its not enough to tell me youre sorry
Darlin you know deep inside
Its just not enough (not enough)
Oh, if you really wanna know girl (not enough)
What it takes if you want my love...

I Play
I play some card to hand over
So that the game finishes always.
The cards are fully proper
And nobody lies too much.
I lose a game when it is absurd,
I love the game that I have consulted
With open arms, the arms are long.
I play some cards to finish the game,
It is gaming always on the world,
It is rich how we obey the world.

Love Won't Wait
Don't lose this moment
Life tastes so sweet
We can work wonders
Just let it be
I know what you're thinking
So can you feel
What I need
Don't need to be set
I will need right now
(Love)
My love won't wait
If you're gonna wait till tomorrow (My love won't wait)
Baby I'm yours
And that means right today (And that means right today)
My love won't wait
If you're gonna wait till tomorrow (My love won't wait)
This is not a dream
It's right before your eyes
Don't let it fade away
You'll miss this moment
Don't be afraid
Ain't that what you wanted
So why hesitate?
Cos I'm feeling restless
I can't explain
What I need
Don't need to be set
I will need right now
(Love)
My love won't wait
If you're gonna wait till tomorrow (My love won't wait)
Baby I'm yours
And that means right today (And that means right today)
My love won't wait
If you're gonna wait till tomorrow (My love won't wait)
This is not a dream
It's right before your eyes
Don't let it fade away
My love won't wait
Love won't wait
Love won't wait
Don't hesitate
Oooh
What I need
Don't need to be set
I will need right now
(Love)
My love won't wait
If you're gonna wait till tomorrow (My love won't wait)
Baby I'm yours
And that means right today (And that means right today)

It's right before your eyes

The Hand I'm Dealt
I've been dealt a hand not fair or just,
Though in this game I know I must
Play my cards the best I can,
Since the same one deals to every man.
To whine and whimper in this game of poker
Is to lose my way and end up a joker.
The right path is always fraught with peril,
But all other ways are sad and sterile.

So Lonely
Well someone told me yesterday
That when you throw your love away
You act as if you just dont care
You look as if youre going somewhere
But I just cant convince myself
I couldnt live with no one else
And I can only play that part
And sit and nurse my broken heart
So lonely, so lonely, so lonely, so lonely
So lonely, so lonely, so lonely
So lonely, so lonely, so lonely
So lonely, so lonely
Know no ones knocked upon my door
For a thousand years or more
All made up and no where to go
Welcome to this one man show
Just take a seat theyre always free
No surprise no mystery
In this theatre that I call my soul
I always play the starring role
So lonely, so lonely, so lonely, so lonely
So lonely, so lonely, so lonely
So lonely, so lonely, so lonely
So lonely, so lonely
So lonely, so lonely, so lonely, so lonely
So lonely, so lonely, so lonely
I feel so lonely...

Everybody Knows
I got your number right off the wall
Bristol 285 wont you give me a call
Well I was 15 thought I was hot
I didnt know if youd see me or not
And that night as we stepped out
We were hand in hand
But my friends all seemed to know you
I couldnt understand
That everybody knew, everybody knew, they knew your name
But nobody wants nobody wants to play your game
You seemed so shy so all alone-y
Without any hint of ever being phony
But then the little things that came to light
Like the strange hours you worked late at night
And as we laid in your bed that night
You made me feel like a king
Then as I looked into your eyes
I heard that telephone ring
And everybody knows, everybody knows, they know your name
But nobody wants, nobody wants, to play your game
Oh no, they dont want to know your game again
(instrumental)
And everybody knows, everybody knows, they know your name
Nobody wants, nobody wants, to play your game
And everybody knew, everybody knew, they knew your name
But nobody wants nobody wants to play your game

You Got The Deal
I lived my life one way too long.
Deal me straight, I can't go wrong.
A gambler's fate's in the cards he takes,
And now I know it's just a mistake.
Don't know the game,
But you got the deal.
Don't know the game,
But you got the deal.
You got the . . .
Left our dreams on a lonely road.
Come back here with a heavy load.
Fight our best when the chips are down.
You go your way, and I'll win this round.
Don't know the game,
But you got the deal.
Don't know the game,
But you got the deal.
LEAD BREAK
You live your life for the dollar sign.
And all that you've made,
You're just buying time.
But time takes it toll,
It don't care who you are
You know you're marked for life
With your empty heart.
Don't know the game,
But you got the deal.
Don't know the game,
But you got the deal.
I don't know the game,
But you got the deal.
Don't know the game,
But you got the deal.
