Early Works - Sea Of Dreams
On the sea of dreams,
I sail to a distant shore
where cross words are never spoken
and love rules by gentle persuasion
where doors are open with beckoning friendship
and lovers are seen hand in hand
across fields of green and golden sands.
I wish I could linger moments longer
but the morning hours are calling me
from across the dreamy sea
a world sometimes to harsh to bare
awaits my returning
another day of toil
aching muscles over rich soil
a family must be fed
so there’s no more time
to lie and dream in bed.

Idyllic
My love waits for me
on a distant shore
where palm trees grow
and gentle warms winds blow.
Where golden sands stretch
for as far as the eyes can see
and the crystal blue waters
roll to the shore lazily.
Where the large golden eye
looks down from the sky
and life moves at a slower pace
as time slips silently by.
Away from the maddening crowd,
my life’s treasure awaits for my returning
to our home once more
when my roving days are through.

Early Works - Remember The Moments
Remember the moments
of long, long ago
when we were young
and troubles were few.
Laughing in the rain
with summer showers
bathing in the sun
for hours and hours.
Remember the moments
the highlights of life
of stealing kisses
in the back seats of cars
and the walks at sunset
along a sandy shore
where have they gong
the days of laughter and song.
Capture the moments
as they come to call
capture the beauty
our eyes seeith all.
Remember the times
golden in the grey
remember our love
day after day.

Your Love
Like hours that pass
through sands of time
in a hour glass
here alone I stand
with your love in my hand
and arms wide open
Waiting here in the wind
in fields of green grass
where your love is only mine
we don't have to pretend
two hearts that wouldn't mend
Standing under a sky so blue
where the sun will always shine
even in a wintery snow
where your love is all I know
time after time again
And in days of rain
your love will always remain
in a world we can't refrain
as I close my eyes to repose
where your love only grows

Lovers On A Beach
Written by ricky & marty wilde
Lovers on a beach
Lovers on a beach
Two naked hands lay on the sand
When all the world was out of reach
Through the shuttered doors
The music filtered through
Playing on a theme that couldnt run
Lovers on a shore
Lovers on a shore
The heavy wine of broken time
But now theyre gone its nothing more
Looking back on days
When summer seemed so long
Now theres only winter nights to come
And oh - sometimes shes missing you
She hears the shore
She feels it more
And out there the waves are breaking
Back here her heart is aching
Lovers on a beach
Lovers on a beach
Two silhouettes were on a shore
But now theyre lost and out of reach
Now on lonely roads
The flashbacks lead to you
Like a faded photograph in time
Oh lovers (lovers, lovers, lovers, lovers...)
And oh just as shes missing you
She hears the shore
She feels it more
And out there the waves are breaking
Back here her heart is aching
Lovers on a beach
Lovers on a beach
Two naked hands theyre on the sand
When all the world was out of reach
Lovers on a beach
Lovers on a beach
Lovers
Lovers
Lovers on a beach

On The Banks of The Shore
have i wandered too far this time
to feel the presence of Your hand
i cant say that i've been blind
building castles in the sand
seems kinda funny for me to say
words i've said before
feeling's too heavy for me to pray
on the banks of the shore
on the banks of the shore
at the foot of the cross
my heart's aching and sore
and my soul's feeling lost...
could You spare an angel or two
put a rainbow in the sky
just to let me know that You
care if i live or die
maybe i'll get it right this time
find the key to the door
just need some peace of mind
on the banks of the shore
on the banks of the shore
at the foot of the cross
my heart's aching and sore
and my soul's feeling lost
on the banks of the shore
at the foot of the cross
my heart's aching and sore
and my soul's feeling lost....

In Love You and I
Butterflies in our centre
takes our breath away
Eye’s mirrored in beauty
disable our defences,
The moment,
thru open windows sways silence
We can no longer hear
the ticking clock.
The beating of our hearts
commands everything,
Folding down side by side
we float into surrealism,
A dream of wonder,
loveliness tingles our bodies,
The fruit of our love runneth over
so beautiful.
Nothing else matters
I love you, you love me,
We are in an envelope
sealed with a kiss.
In dreams, in dreams
on the honeymoon train,
The universe is ours not to miss,
Thru stars,
over rainbows, down lovers lane,
Always hand in hand for ever and ever,
Never once letting go.
the feelings,
Always hand in hand
for ever and ever.

I Dream...
I dream of a better world, where we are all different shades of the same palette.
I dream of lifes disputes crumbling from our sight, never to be heard again.
I dream of blue skies and radiant flowers, as we stroll together through meadows of hope.
I dream of moonlit nights where the aroma of life permiates the air.
I dream of falling in love with the one who just takes my breath away.
I dream of angels dancing across the starry expanse of our horizon.
I dream of earthly achievements never imagined by men of limited vision.
I dream of peace, no longer the warring beast devouring my fellow man.
I dream of calmer seas that no longer rock the boat of man's tranquility.
I dream of you and I eternal, no more this lonely night of my existance.
I dream of walking on a golden beach with the one I love, hand in hand.
I dream of what might have been, what is now, and what has yet to be revealed.
I dream of no longer forsaking my sanity to the darkness of my emotions.
I dream of no more waking hours consumed by the unfulfilled promise of nirvana.
I am a dreamer, but without dreamers what would our world be?
As empty as a heart that knows not love, As dark as a night bereft of stars.
I feel therefore I must have feelings, I breathe therefore I must be alive.
I sleep therefore I am destined to be a dreamer, so I say dream on.
Let your dreams bring you to a place of everlasting serenity...
Because we exist, We dream...
Spread the love... The peace will follow...

Dead Leaves
When these dead leaves were green, love,
November's skies were blue,
And summer came with lips aflame,
The gentle spring to woo;
And to us, wandering hand in hand,
Life was a fairy scene,
That golden morning in the woods
When these dead leaves were green!
How dream-like now that dewy morn,
Sweet with the wattle's flowers,
When love, love, love was all our theme,
And youth and hope were ours!
Two happier hearts in all the land
There were not then, I ween,
Than those young lovers' -- yours and mine --
When these dead leaves were green.
How gaily did you pluck these leaves
From the acacia's bough,
To mark the lyric we had read --
I can repeat it now!
While came the words, like music sweet,
Your smiling lips between --
"So fold my love within your heart,"
When these dead leaves were green!
How many springs have passed since then?
Ah, wherefore should we count,
The years that sped, like waters fled
From Time's unstaying fount?
We've had our share of happiness,
Our share of care have seen;
But love alone has never flown
Since these dead leaves were green.
Your heart is kind and loving still,
Your face to me as fair,
As when, that morn, the sunshine played
Amid your golden hair.
So, dearest, sweethearts still we'll be,
As we have ever been,
And keep our love as fresh and true
As when these leaves were green.

Etchings
Recalling the days
of long ago
days of wine and
roses
together
hand in hand we
strolled
as young lovers
Our names linger
in the sand
placed there
long ago
remain etched in
sands of time
as our love
continues to grow.

Dreams of Green, Can only keep Your Dreams Green!
Life is in seeds, who can say
plants are not intelligent,
They use many ways,
They use many animals and
birds,
Even water and air for their propagation,
Sensing the availability of
agency,
they dream and tune themselves,
Plan strategy to make use of
birds beasts and man.... They sow the seeds of dream in
the eyes of farmer,
They fill his eyes with dream of
every possible comforts,
Calling him to sow and nurture
them! Seeds carry dreams of plants
and carry dreams for farmer,
In his dream green waves sing a
song,
Dancing with nature's song,
In the golden crop farmer dreams of his golden dreams,
His breath, his love, his dreams
feed millions of stomach,
So that they are free to dream in
this dream world!
Just look at farmer's dreams, They never get wet,
They never get dry,
His evergreen dreams sustain the
world,
Never his dreams and the dreams
of plant allow dreams in you dry!

Love Comes A Calling
Love Comes A Calling
When love comes a calling
we will always go that extra mile
to ensure that it is welcome
and will stay for a long while.
With open arms of tenderness
we greet love’s beckoning call
and run towards it
taking care it don’t stumble and fall,
and if we are careful
that love will continually grow
and from it new seeds it will sow.
All this can happen
when love comes a calling.

For Meggie In Friendship
There is a young woman,
who lives so far away from me;
if she lived closer,
I could give her a big hug.
We came across one another,
not very long ago,
since then she has touched
my heart and soul
with her poems and prayers.
She held out the hand of friendship
as I held mine out to her,
we both accepted gratefully,
and two distant lives were touched
from half way a world away.
That bond of friendship gets stronger
with every poem and prayer that we write.
Maybe we will never meet in person,
but that does not matter at all.
Because through our words
the world has shrunk,
and it is as if she
is living right next door.
That if we reached out
our hands would touch
as our words have done before.
This poem was written
in friendship for a very special friend
Meggie Gultiano.

Blue Planet
Words of life last longer than diamonds
Byron writes with rivers of moonlight
His quill flashes through the centuries
Soul beyond the grave like distant stars
Everything glows tonight beyond sorrow
This moment contains the eternal past
Sown in time and raised immortal
The Moon of earth like topaz children
Planets of turquoise visitors tell the future
Born of a million fires of jubilant change
Orion's belt will lay down with the Lion
Man became a living soul created free
How glorious is the golden circle
Infinite love waits behind all discovery
Vast eternity in a moments awakening
Go out and look beyond the Vail
Tonight is a fine night for visitations
Doors of perception wait for open minds
Blake has visions deeper than rubies
The Shepard walks the stars tonight
The sea fills with living midnight stars
We travel in and out of mystic time
High blue dreams sail beyond the walls
Everything is washed in eternal silence
Light shines on a distant blue planet

Different Worlds
Time and tide,
Are the dreams that come and go,
They wait for no man on the shore.
Should you step,
In the same dark river twice,
Let it wash the sins away,
Is there time at hand,
With so much to say?
And I know, its a different world today,
And I know, to another God we pray,
And I know, were in different worlds today.
Here I stand,
My philosophy held high,
Like a preacher in a foreign land.
And here we walk,
In the wilderness of sands,
With the prophet and the holy man.
Is there time at hand,
With so much to say?
And I know, its a different world today,
And I know, to another God we pray,
And I know, were in different worlds today,
And I know, its a different world today.
Theyre burning the book, theyre burning the faith,
Our dream will be over,
Lets wake from the sleep, a legion well be,
To live forever.
I know I as wrong, I have to put it right,
I just cant let it slip away,
cause its a different world today.
Different world, different world, different world today,
Is it a better world today?

The Lovers' Walk
BY the slowly flowing river
Lies the old, shadowed walk,
Where the lovers, two and two,
Ere the falling of the dew,
Of the sweetest thing on earth in the soft shadows talk.
For, though honey has a sweetness,
As the tasting palate knows,
Yet young love is sweeter, sure,
Than the honey, pale and pure,
That the brown bee gets from the heart of the rose.
Though there's music in the waters
And the singing of the birds,
Yet a richer music dwells
In the tale each couple tells
In that scene of green enchantment, as they put their hearts in words.
Though they have not throne or sceptre,
They are kings and queens, in truth;
And their realm is all their own,
And they rule in it alone,
For the wonder and the splendour of the world belong to youth.
Neither man nor maid may hasten,
Neither man nor maid may baulk
The river on its way,
As it murmurs, day by day,
By the singing, scented places of the old Lovers' Walk.
There the wattle has its season,
And the lily flames awhile,
And the pink boronia blooms,
And the orchid lights the glooms
Of the deep, green gully and the far forest aisle.
There the wattle fades and withers,
And the lily on its stalk;
But new couples, wreathed and crowned,
Through the seasons round and round
Dream their dreams, link their hands on the old Lovers' Walk.
There they tell the one tale over
And they plight again their troth,
And they bend above the stream
In the sunset's dying gleam;
It might seem the river cares not, yet the river mirrors both.
Oh, how many happy lovers
Has that gleaming river glassed!
Oh, what folk alight with joy,
Dancing girl, and glowing boy,
Youth and Beauty linked together in the dim, sweet past!
Now a frond goes down the current,
Now a flower the eddies turn,
But the lovers never sigh
As they watch them drifting by,
Nor bethink them of the moments that are like to flower and fern.
Yet a hungry sea is calling,
Though a distant sea it be;
And the lovers' golden hours
Are as drifting ferns and flowers,
And a river, not their river, takes them onward to the sea.
Oh, the splendour, and the raptures,
And the hours of rose and rhyme!
Oh, the passion-thirst that sips
At the fount of rosy lips!
Oh, the slowly-moving waters of the river like to Time!
As the fading of the wattle
Or the lily on its stalk,
Or the dewdrop from the grass,
So the glory goes, alas,
From the sweet dreams dreamt on the old Lovers' Walk.

So near at hand (our eyes o'erlooked its nearness
In search of distant things)
A dear dream lay--perchance to grow in dearness
Had we but felt its wings
Astir. The air our very breathing fanned
It was so near at hand.
Once, many days ago, we almost held it,
The love we so desired;
But our shut eyes saw not, and fate dispelled it
Before our pulses fired
To flame, and errant fortune bade us stand
Hand almost touching hand.
I sometimes think had we two been discerning,
The by-path hid away
From others' eyes had then revealed its turning
To us, nor led astray
Our footsteps, guiding us into love's land
That lay so near at hand.
So near at hand, dear heart, could we have known it!
Throughout those dreamy hours,
Had either loved, or loving had we shown it,
Response had sure been ours;
We did not know that heart could heart command,
And love so near at hand!
What then availed the red wine's subtle glisten?
We passed it blindly by,
And now what profit that we wait and listen
Each for the other's heart beat? Ah! the cry
Of love o'erlooked still lingers, you and I
Sought heaven afar, we did not understand
'Twas--once so near at hand.

Clarity
do not eat words
do not eat my poetry
do not attempt to chew it
do not swallow it whole like how a boa swallows the whole pig
take your time. look at it. from the first word to the last.
think of this poem as syllables, not as thoughts, not as my thoughts.
or your thoughts. think of this poem as a feeling.
a baby sleeping. a calm look at the eye. a stare.
a grip. a hand grasping another hand.
a breath suspended in cold air.
two hands in prayer. think of this as the sound of a distant bell.
an orange dressed monk walking at the shore.
a leaf falling on the white sand.
a last step on the trip.
a beginning of a dream.
do not think now. Feel the sands slipping from your fingers.
See the sands falling on the floor of the sand.
do not move. Do not swallow your saliva.
And then speak the first word of this line.
This i think is clarity.

Unyielding
When I called you in your garden
Mango blooms were rich in fragrance -
Why did you remain so distant,
Keep your doors so tightly fastened?
Blossoms grew to ripe fruit-clusters -
Your rejected my cuppded handfuls,
Closed your eyes to perfectness.
In the fierce harsh storms of Baisakh,
Golden ripened fruit fell tumbling.
'Dust, I said, 'defiles such offerings:
Let your hands be heaven to them.'
Still you showed no friendliness.
Lampless were your doors at evening,
Pitch-black as I played my vina.
How the starlight twanged my heartstrings!
How I set my vina dancing!
You showed no responsiveness.
Sad birds twittered sleeplessly,
Calling, calling lost companions.
Gone the right time for our union -
Low the moon while still you brooded,
Sunk in lonely pensiveness.
Who can understand another!
Heart cannot restrain its passion.
I had hoped that some remaining
Tear-soaked memories would sway you,
Stir your feet to lightsomeness.
Moon fell at the feet of morning,
Loosened from the night's fading necklace.
While you slept, O did my Vina
Lull you with its heartache? Did you
Dream at least of happiness?

A Planet of Love!
Star crossed lovers follow Venus
Enchanted by Cupid's influence!
Roaming in Arcadia for romance
Lovers' paradise is a big dream!
Hand in hand Romeo and Juliet
Dance across green meadows
Enjoying fragrance of exotic flowers
Morn till night and in dream all night!
Adam and Eve, Paris and Helen,
Romeo and Juliet and many lovers
Still enjoy wonderful time in romance
All over the world alone in the Universe!
Earth, the paradise of Universe,
I wonder, is only planet of love...!

Every Time I Open My Eyes
Night or day
I dream of you
Dream of spending time with you too
Dream we decided to fall in love and that you'd always stay
Sometimes it makes me want to sleep all the time
What's the point of being awake
When during my dreams is when I'm happy
Because during my dreams you're here with me
I'll try to sleep for your sake
We've had the best times together these past three weeks
Even though I haven't seen you in awhile
Every night I go to sleep with a smile
But every morning, every time I wake up
I feel the depression, someone take this cup
Because every time I open my eyes I'm still alone
No matter how sweet the dream, it ends
No matter how much love my heart sends
The dreams they end and when I open my eyes I'm empty
When I open my eyes I'm still alone, I'm still me.... just me
I almost don't want to dream for fear of harsh reality
I know it's selfish of me
To want to dream all day and then not because it hurts my feelings
I wish I could just tape up my heart with sealings
And not let anyone is because all I dream of is true love
And all I can think when I wake up is: I'm completely alone
I'm unloved
I can't write poetry, and I can't rhyme
I have no skill, and I have no true love
EVERY SINGLE TIME MY EYES ARE OPEN!
I'm just alone even when I close my eyes to cry, the second they open tears
Come again, because I'm still alone...
It's gotten to the point where I can barely cry I've drowned in my emotion
I almost wish for death again, anything to end this loneliness
Why do I seek love so ardently when I have nothing left to give of me...
Maybe that's why when I open my eyes I may be a young boy
But I feel like
'An old man, filled with regrets, waiting to die alone.'
