Direction and Purpose
A river flows in one direction,
on down to find the sea.
As humans we to see a direction,
and ask our God to lead the way.
Everything needs a direction,
or purpose in being be.
Without a purpose or direction,
we are like the winds of the desert,
lost and forever wandering.
If we have nothing to justify
the existence of our soul,
we will drift on aimlessly,
through the eons of time,
until the poets run out of rhyme.

No Direction Home
Crawl upon the earth, scour the universe you know
Set my compass north, circumscribe the earth and go - no direction home
Whats my part in this, whats this dream I cant let go
Whats your weight of this, what d'ya want to see and who d'ya want to know
You've no direction home, no direction home, no direction
Feels like all is lost, there's nowhere left to go
Through the seasoned sands, cross the sky to the morning snow
Is there no direction home, nowhere left to go, no direction home

Ode To Chin
What's your direction?
Tell me what's wrong, tell me what's right.
What's your direction?
Think about somebody else for the night.
Life's more than girls.
God's more than words.
You're more than this.
So, what's your direction,
And where are you now?
Grow, grow where you are.
Anchor your roots underneath.
Doubt your doubts and believe your beliefs.
What's your direction?
What matters most?
What should you know?
What's your direction?
All that you've been
Makes who you are now,
'Cause I've been ashamed.
I've been a fool.
You know Ive backed down.
When I lose direction, I pray to be found.
Grow, grow where you are.
Anchor your roots underneath.
Doubt your doubts and believe your beliefs.

Intuition
ladedada
ladedada
ladedada da dum
I'm just a simple girl
In a high tech digital world
I really try to understand
All the powers that rule this land
They say Miss J's big butt is boss
Kate Moss can't find a job
In a world of post modern fad
What was good now is bad
It's not hard to understand
Just follow this simple plan
Follow your heart
Your intuition
It will lead you in the right direction
Let go of your mind
Your intuition
It's easy to find
Just follow your heart baby

You look at me
But you're not quite sure
Am I it or could you get more?
You learn cool from magazines
You learn love from Charlie Sheen
If you want me let me know
I promise i won't say no
Follow your heart
Your intuition
It will lead you in the right direction
Let go of your mind
Your intuition
It's easy to find
Just follow your heart baby
You got something that you want me to sell
Sell your sin
Just cash in
You got something that you want me to tell
You'll love me
Wait and see
If you want me
Don't play games
I promise
It won't be in vain
Uh-uh-uh
Follow your heart
Your intuition
It will lead you in the right direction
Let go of your mind
Your intuition
It's easy to find
Just follow your heart baby
Just follow your heart

It will lead you in the right direction

Headed In The Right Direction
Chorus
Headed in the right direction
I can see the light of day
Ive got love as my connection
Theres an angel showing me the way
Been reaching for love all my life
I couldnt find it always one step behind it
Now I know it was mine all the time finally I am
Chorus
Headed in the right direction
I can see the light of day
Ive got love as my protection
Theres no need for me to be afraid
I spend so much time with my head in the clouds
Now that Ive got my feet on the ground
I found that I am
Chorus
Headed in the right direction
I can see the light of day
Ive got faith and intuition telling me that I will be okay
Down the path that I walked there was eyes
Somebody told me that I look like Im glowing
They just dried all the tears from my eyes now I can see that
Chorus
Headed in the right direction
I can see the light of day
Now Ive found my pearl of wisdom
Theres no need for me to be afraid
Headed in the right direction
Theres an angel showing me the way
I have found my inspiration
Headed in the right direction

Your Purpose of Living
The master of purpose does not
respect certificate or degree;
He only respect people
with purpose in life.
Purpose is the gate fee
to success land.
Purpose is your direction.
Purpose is an objective in life,
dream, and what you are here for.
You cannot move on in life
until you have discovered
your objectives in life,
which is your purpose of living.

My Direction
Perfection is my direction
Even if thats all I had
Its not like I need no correction,
I just know that lifes not so bad
Picture this, everyday,
Kids that just cant find a way,
Stuck in this erect,
Cant find hope for better days
Its our 2 generation,
Our child of frustration
In the last 30 years teenage suicide has increased 300% in north america & is the 2nd major continent attached to canada.
Perfection is my direction
Even if thats all I had
Its not like I need no correction,
I just know that lifes not so bad
When will all my problems disappear?
Am I just going crazy from the fear?
Oh why am I going far past the break
The bridge is like a way,
And I still cant think straight.
Perfection is my direction
Even if thats all I had
Its not like I need no correction,
I just know that lifes not so bad
I met my destination
Whats life to complain about?
All these aggrivations
Building till the sea fall out
Im running by, no lie,
When every time I lie,
(dont tell me without a doubt this new found luck has all run out [repeat])
Perfection is my direction
Even if thats all I had
Its not like I need no correction,
I just know that lifes not so bad

Stanzas In Meditation: Stanza XV
Should they may be they might if they delight
In why they must see it be there not only necessarily
But which they might in which they might
For which they might delight if they look there
And they see there that they look there
To see it be there which it is if it is
Which may be where where it is
If they do not occasion it to be different
From what it is.
In one direction there is the sun and the moon
In the other direction there are cumulus clouds and the sky
In the other direction there is why
They look at what they see
They look very long while they talk along
And they may be said to see that at which they look
Whenever there is no chance of its not being warmer
Than if they wish which they were.
They see that they have what is there may there
Be there also what is to be there if they may care
They care for it of course they care for it.
Now only think three times roses green and blue
And vegetables and pumpkins and pansies too
Which they like as they are very likely not to be
Reminded that it is more than ever necessary
That they should never be surprised at any one time
At just what they have been given by taking what they have
Which they are very careful not to add with
As they may easily indulge in the fragrance
Not only of which but by which they know
That they tell them so.

Wrong Direction Home
In a shingle covered cottage at the foothills of blue stacks
Near a mountain stream thats flowing crystal clear
Where the humming birds and honey bees feed on mamas roses
My memries just grow sweeter with the years
Memries of my childhood are as sweet as mountain honey
And as fresh as a dew on morning glory vines
I grew up surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature
And theyre forever present in my mind
But Im headed in the wrong direction home
Headed in the wrong direction home
Theres no place like home
But Im headed in the wrong direction home
Teardrops mingled with the summer rain that was a falling
The day I left my mountain home behind
With a suitcase in my hand and a hope in my heart
I was following a dream I had to find
In that shingled covered cottage at the foothills of the smokies
Waits a family hat Im longing to see
And mountain streams and fields of green
And rolling hills stay in my dreams
But Im many, many miles from tennessee
And still headed in the wrong direction home
Headed in the wrong direction home
But maybe Ill get back before too long
But Im headed in the wrong direction home

When we made that album with Gary Moore, I was still kind of searching for the right direction for myself. Although the music is quite good the direction was like a box of fireworks that caught light all at the same time.
I Should Go Out Into The Sun
I should go out into the sun
And walk in the direction of wherever I need to go
No matter how far-
And on the way find some other form of transportation
That will take me there.
Instead however I sit here and write my inane lines
As if whatever happened to me however small
Was worth thinking about by another-
A poem should not be trivial
But mine often are-
How much more patience will I myself have
Before I go in another direction?

The Connection
I stayed in town for a while
Watching cars pass me by
And I'm trying not to get too high
But then I realised
Is there only one direction
Is there only right from wrong
Got to make the right connection
On my own
I never said you would cry
But I lied, now I lied
Now he's crying just to get by
Just to find, find out why
There is only one direction
There is only right from wrong
Got to make the right connection
On their own
I stuck around for a while
Watch the grass getting high
And I try not to think for a while
But then I had to smile
Cos there's only one direction
Is there only one way home
Got to make the right connection
On their own

Beneath the Southern Cross
Beneath the Southern Cross
are two pointers that catch my eyes
and I wonder to where
their direction is taking me,
while the whole world
with time is estranging around me.
The Southern Cross is bright
against the dark sky
and I am trying to find direction
and see a bright light winking,
past and through the darkness
and this light draws me
like the wise men
that it lead to the child.

No matter how far you have walked in the wrong direction certainly you have to turn back and take the right direction.
We were grooving, at that point, in the same direction, but remember, Roy Hamilton and myself were going into a path and a direction that had no programming.

The older you get, the more you realize you're drifting toward a direction, and sometimes your significant other drifts into an opposite direction. You can't blame anybody for it.
Why can't we...?
River flows
Only in one direction
And knows its destination
Yet,
Those by the banks
Thrive and prosper
Why can't we be
Like the river?
Tree bears fruit
And gives shade
For none in particular
Yet
Knows not its fruit
Or its shade
Why can't we be
Like the tree?
Rain rains
For earth to regenerate
The seed to sprout
And plant to bear leaf
Yet
Knows not the life
It recharges
Too many hands
On too many things
Do we have desiring
Name, fame and bounty
And suffer
We end up in
Rain of tears
With no shade to protect
We flow direction-less
Allowing our core
To wash away!

Childhoods End (live)
Track 9 _Misplaced Childhood_
And it was morning.
And I found myself mourning,
for a childhood that I thought had disappeared.
I looked out the window,
And I saw a magpie in the rainbow, the rain had gone
I'm not alone, I turned to the mirror,
I saw you, the child, that once loved.
The child before they broke his heart,
Our heart, the heart that I believed was lost.
Hey you, surprised? More than surprised,
to find the answers to the questions,
Were always in your own eyes.
Do you realize that you give it on back to her?
But that would only be retraced in all the problems that you ever knew,
So untrue.
For she's got to carry on with her life,
and you've got to carry on with yours.
So I see it's me, I can do anything
And still the child,
'Cos the only thing misplaced was direction
And I found direction.
There is no Childhood's End.
There is no Childhood's End.
Cos' you are my childhood friend.
Cos' you are my childhood friend.
Oh lead me on.
Hey you, you've survived.
Now you've arrived,
to be reborn in the shadow of the magpie.
Now you realize, that you've got to get out of here.
You've found the leading light of destiny,
burning in the ashes of your memory.
You want to change the world.
You'd resigned yourself to die a broken rebel,
But that was looking backward.
Now you've found the light.
You, the child that once loved,
The child before they broke his heart.
The heart, the heart that I believed was lost
So it's me I see, I can do anything.
I'm still the child.
'Cos the only thing misplaced was direction, and I found direction.
There is no childhood's end.
There is no childhood's end.
There is no childhood's end.
I am your childhood friend.
Oh.. lead me on
