Brand New Day
Each petal of every flower,
from white to flaming red,
opens to greet each new day,
from their sleepy bed.
Every living creature,
whether it is large or small,
awakes from their slumber
as each brand new day comes to call.
As the world awakes around us,
all its wonders begin to appear,
as if someone has waved a magic wand,
when the sun begins to appear,
and a brand new day comes to call.

Brand New Game
Saw you talk near the slots
And I got a brand new game
Running down the alley with an hour you bought
From a man with no last name
Like an idiot animal
Too stupid to shame
Got a brand new game
Got a brand new, brand new game
Got a brand new game
Got a brand new game
Ape man in a cave
Painting on the wall
Nothings gonna keep the visions menacing glances
And nothing thats got it all
From gazing over to where hope sleeps
Artificially small
Like a beast to tame
Got a brand new game
Got a brand new, brand new game
Got a brand new game
Got a brand new game
Now monkey is alright?
Come on
Ones never enough, twos always a crowd
I got a mindful scoping the slide?
And a glass side nature mane?
Everythings impossible
Theres nothing to do
But oppose this road remain?
Push the point to oblivion
And keep turning the plane
Got a brand new game
Got a brand new, brand new game
Got a brand new game
Got a brand new game

New Day
The morning mist recedes
as a new day is born.
The sun sparkles on the dewdrops
and warms each petals head
as each living creature awakes
from its sleepy head.
A new day with new beginnings
for everyone and everything.
For some it will bring joy
in measures unbound,
while for others there will be sorrows
to darken their frown.
No matter what kind of day
it begins like,
it can always be worked upon.

Another Day
What seems like such a winter's tale
Lightening runs through the fallen flames
By kneeling down we're here to pray
At that point forsaken unafraid
I only wanna feel you being strong
I only wanna feel you being strong
Call me up and let's begin
Call me up and let's begin
Another day
Call me up and let's begin
Call me up and let's begin
You done that to me
Feel my breath go cold and calm
My pride is last and I sin again
And all the seasons change their scent
A year of hell they come against my head once more
I only wanna feel you being strong
I only wanna feel you being strong
Call me up and let's begin
Call me up and let's begin

The View Outside My Window
The view outside my window
Never stays the same
The picture is always changing
From dawn to dusk
And as each season come to call
Winter, spring, summer and fall
Winter with its blanket of white
That covers every living thing
Icicles sparkle like jewels under a cold days sun
Spring sees a sea of green
And with it new life begins to stir
From every living thing
Summer captivates with colours
The flying things are back
Flitting from flower to flower like a fickle lover
Then the autumn comes to call
Colours fade and die to dusky brown
The harvest begins in earnest
Bountiful food supply snapped up by hungry mouths
Before the chills of winter
Again begin to call.

Designer Brand
son asks father daily
for designer goods
from clothes to wallet
to shoes to his underwear
wise father decides
to teach son a lesson
about the most important
brand that one should have
'look at this shoe worn by
that famous author. every line,
every crease speaks of him.
the world flies here to breathe his things.
the simplest things come alive with
his aura, his unique brand'
son feels an emptiness in him
immediately. he starts looking at things
inside out rather than the other way round.
he begins to realise the artist has to shed his brand
on the canvas and that all the best colours wont
do him any good, if he is not foremostly
a brand himself.
he begins to cultivate the brand that has been
a slave to others, to free himself from being painted by others.
he starts to paint his life the way he wants to be, to be a designer brand himself

Brand New Me
(Kris Bergsnes/Lee Thomas Miller)
That morning sun was burnin' in my eyes
I could see a brand new day
And all the hurt and anger weighin' on my heart
Had begun to drift away
I saw it written on a church marquee as I drove into town
Said today's a new beginning friend
And I had to laugh out loud, 'cause there's no doubt
I'm a brand new me
I've been shattered by the storm but I survived
I'm a brand new me
I found a revelation in the tears I cried
I opened up my eyes
Oh, what a change I see
I'm a brand new me
There's a warrior and a victim living deep
Inside all of us
We have to choose to fight or surrender
When the world beats us up
I know where my weakness lies,
but I know it's a fight that I can win
I may get broken trying to get up
But I can't wait to start again, I'm gonna start again
I'm a brand new me
I've been shattered by the storm but I survived
I'm a brand new me
I found a revelation in the tears I cried
I opened up my eyes
Oh, what a change I see
I'm a brand new me
Days come and go, yeah they come
and go like a road with no end
Hope fades but never dies
Just look at me catchin' my second wind
I'm a brand new me
I've been shattered by the storm but I survived
I'm a brand new me
I found a revelation in the tears I cried
I opened up my eyes
Oh, what a change I see
I'm a brand new me
I'm a brand new me
I'm a brand new me
I'm a brand new me

When something in the dark depths of your eyes smoulders (Terzanelle)
When something in the dark depths of your eyes smoulders,
burning like a living thing
while you pull your blouse over your shoulders
making a scene of the undressing
a flame awakes in me
burning like a living thing
and in your beauty I see
your humanity that shines through.
A flame awakes in me
and in a way every lovely girl is perfected in you
and when passion awakes in your heavy nipple
your humanity that shines through
makes tender feelings of protection ripple
with their own heat
and when passion awakes in your heavy nipple
you make my life complete
when something in the dark depths of your eyes smoulders,
with their own heat
while you pull your blouse over your shoulders.

Spring (Double Rondelet Triolet)
With a deep touch,
The red poppy awakes the grass.
With a deep touch,
Red wants green's vibration so much,
The sun awakes the sky's watch glass.
The sky vibrates like a string bass,
With a deep touch.
The red flowers bloom in the Spring
When the time of the green grass comes.
The sky vibrates like a bass string.
The red flowers bloom in the Spring.
I see the nature's purest swing.
The wind searches his bongo drums,
The red flowers bloom in the Spring
When the time of the green grass comes.
I see His love
Like a white lily among thorns.
I see His love
Like in clefts of the rock, a dove.
When red flower its grass adorns
And her dead Winter, Spring mourns,
I see His love.
Shadows are inlaid in color
When red poppy awakes the grass.
When the land is multicolor,
Shadows are inlaid in color.
When the cuckoo is a caller,
The sun awakes the sky's watch glass.
Shadows are inlaid in color
When red poppy awakes the grass.

A Brand New Day
(luther vandross)
Everybody look around
'cause there's a reason to rejoice you see
Everybody come out
And let's commence to singing joyfully
Everybody look up
And feel the hope that we've been waiting for
Everybody's glad
Because our silent fear and dread is gone
Freedom, you see, has got our hearts singing so joyfully
Just look about
You owe it to yourself to check it out
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Everybody be glad
Because the sun is shining just for us
Everybody wake up
Into the morning into happiness
Hello world
It's like a different way of living now
And thank you world
We always knew that we'd be free somehow
In harmony
And show the world that we've got liberty
It's such a change
For us to live so independently
Freedom, you see, has got our hearts singing so joyfully
Just look about
You owe it to yourself to check it out
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Everybody be glad
Because the sun is shining just for us
Everybody wake up
Into the morning into happiness
Hello world
It's like a different way of living now
And thank you world
We always knew that we'd be free somehow
In harmony
And show the world that we've got liberty
It's such a change
For us to live so independently
Freedom, you see, has got our hearts singing so joyfully
Just look about
You owe it to yourself to check it out
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?

Brand New Days
At the end of the day you are worn, and too tired to sleep
But then you do dream of wonderful things
That you might do, right on through to the next day
And then you wake up
The suns on your face
Youre stretchin while youre sayin
Its a brand new day!
Its a brand new day and the sky is clear
So lets come together, everybody cheer
Come out people from everywhere
Lets see your faces, the day well share
Celebrate a brand new day everyday!
Call out to the workers and the children in the schools
Its a day of celebration so put down your tools and
Celebrate a brand new day everyday!
Come see the mountains and come see the shores
Mother nature is calling so come climb aboard to
Celebrate a brand new day everyday!
At the end of the day there is no doubt you are worn out
But then you do dream of wonderful things
That you might do the next day
And then you wake up
The suns on your face
Youre stretchin while youre saying
Its a brand new day!
Celebrate a brand new day, everyday!

Morning Star
Little star you’re the last one
we see in the skies
as the morning starts to rise.
The last one to go to fall asleep
as the sun begins to wake.
Morning star as everything yawns a sleepy head
you smile before going off to your bed.
You are not the wishing star
whom everyone wishes upon
hoping their wishes will come true.
Morning star you’re the last one to go to sleep,
but the first one to greet us
as we wake in the morn
when a brand new day is born.
You’re the star we forget about,
but the first one we see each day.
You are always there
to greet us as we get out of bed.

Brand New Morning
It's a brand new morning of a brand new day.
It's a brand new chance to make it all work out some way.
Hey! It's a brand new morning and a brand new smile.
It's some brand new things you just might see in a while;
Then your life takes on a bright new shiny style.
Forget the past now, it's an ancient history.
It's a time to be reborn, it's a time for being free.
Someone might be waiting here outside where you can see-
And you just might see -
Yeah, you just might see -
That it's a brand new morning with a brand new sun,
And it's just as warm for you as it is for everyone.
Don't just walk, come on, get it on, get on the run.
It's a brand new morning, ooh, it's a brand new day.
Forget the past now, it's an ancient history.
It's a time to be reborn, it's a time for being free.
Someone might be waiting here outside where you can see -
And you just might see -
Yeah, you just might see -
That it's a brand new morning with a brand new sun,
And it's just as warm for you as it is for everyone.
Don't just walk, come on, get it on, get on the run.
It's a brand new morning, ooh, it's a brand new day.

Troth of the Heart
`
Love's illusion is
to believe the best,
to hope the best,
and to love the best.
Some call it foolish optimism,
some brand it the blindness of love,
and some condescend,
labelling it infatuation.
This fact escapes the skeptics-
What the heart chooses to believe
the mind begins to see.
The magic of love sets free.

The Sha La La Song
At last its over,
I knew I could not hold him,
His love for freedom
Was far too strong.
But though hes gone now
My life is just beginning,
Ill soon forget him,
Ill soon forget him,
I must forget him, lord!
Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la,
Theres a brand new day beginning.
Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la,
Theres a brand new love that waits for me.
Will I remember,
Will I still hear him whisper ?
Will I still feel his
Lips on mine ?
In dreams I see him,
Perhaps hell stay forever
And all Im wishing
And all Im hoping
And all my longing, too.
Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la,
Theres a brand new day beginning.
Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la,
Theres a brand new love that waits for me.
He made me happy
And though I suffered, too,
Theres no mistaking
Our love was true.
But such a sweet love
Just wasnt meant to be
And its all over
Yes, its all over,
And now its done Ill start anew.
Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la,
Theres a brand new day beginning.
Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la,
Theres a brand new love beginning.
Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la,
Theres a brand new day beginning.
Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la,
Theres a brand new love beginning.

God zooms into Me
as i walk
and think
i realise
there is
a thought
of a source
call it god
somewhere
looking at
his creature
reasoning
what a better person
he thinks
of me
than myself
god's values
plans
so utterly
unlike ourselves
i take life
as it comes and goes
living out
someone's else plans
someone
i hardly understand,
know
wonders
he zooms
into the prophets' world
the same way
all the words
that interpreted
the meeting of
great mind and the small minds

Sitting With Gran.
Gran half blind stares at the sky.
Her snow-white hair bushes out
In an explosion of curls. I used
To sit here with you on my lap,
She says, and rocked you to sleep
While your mother went to the shops
Or off to work. You sit beside her
In your brand new suit and short cut hair,
Listening to her words as they hang in the air.
Your father was never much good at work
Or things that mattered, she says, knowing
He’d let her down, despite her brand of love
And concern. Don’t be like him, lad, be one
To be counted on, to be aware of others
Than yourself, don’t be blinded by self-love
Or what counts for you or your own
Small world. She looks at you with her blue
White eyes wherein a long ago world slowly dies.

The Petal Game
pick a flower
to play the petal game
pluck a petal
he loves me
pluck a petal
I don't love him
pluck a petal
he keeps getting closer
pluck a petal
I keep pushing him away
pluck a petal
he is always around me
pluck a petal
I hide away from him
pluck a petal
he is always protecting me
pluck a petal
I just punch him in the gut
pluck a petal
he never seems to get it
pluck a petal
I really hate his guts
pluck a petal
he just really bugs me
pluck a petal
I need a new flower now
pick a flower
to play the petal game
