A simple act of kindness
can stop a million tears.
A little hug
can give so much joy.
A letter now and then to someone
can save so many wasted years.
We should hold every moment precious
and help as many as we can
with a simple act of kindness
every now and then.
The world would be a better place
if we all cared a little more.
Imagine how many smiling faces
would greet us at the door
if we extended that helping hand
with a simple act of kindness

Simple Kindness
I was walking to school in sunlight that normally
Felt like a child's smile and smelled like an adventure
Into the rainbow world of an education
Not today
Today I felt as if the world is upon my shoulders
I was so stressed and worried
Such as a person does when they are about to
Squat 400lb
With tears tumbling down my checks
Thinking why is life so hard
Why can't it be more simple
More rain falls on a cold April morning down my face
Taking the forbidden shortcut to school
For the sake of the tune of my stomach
Into a place where the sun never shines
A fire catches my eyes a fire that freezes my tears
As I blink I catch one in my hand a single tear that meant
Sadness, loneliness, and self abandon ness just seconds ago
Now means understanding, self motivation and the knowing I'm the one
That will feed the world its cold medicine
Only if kindness could be the cure
I was the one thinking why life is so hard
When there is a mother standing there with her child
Praying the cold would end
The mother wishing she had something that didn't mean
Crawling into the dumpster
To feed her starving five year old girl
The only thing she has left
Regretting experimenting with that one needle
That was just for fun
Well she's not laughing anymore
Now the jokes really on her
And thankful for her daughter
For her company all these years
But its not like she had a choice
Only if simple kindness could be the cure
To a mother's

Simple Words
Simple words are precious pearls.
When spoken true they mean the world.
They tell me that I'm speacial,
and that you really care.
They really are so meaningful,
a feeling that is rare.
When they come from one as you.
It makes me feel as precious few.
It's something so little have tried to do.
Such simple words with greatness spewed.
In my heart a loving burn.
It means so much for you to share.

The one that showed me kindness
Was the one that taught me kindness
Though I did not recognize it
Still I might have died without it
And when I awakened
It was too late to thank her

The Unanswerable Question
A simple gift.
Many things can be meant from it.
Love, friendship, kindness and caring.
All of these can com from such a simple thing.
A rose is such a gift.
But this can be used for many things.
A birthday, an anniversary, a holiday, a funeral...
How can a simple thing be so sad?
This is a question that cannot be answered.
For the ones that can answer are already in our memories,
waiting for the day that we will join them..
We live and learn,
trying to make the best of our lives as possible.
A simple gift to me only means one thing to me,
that the world isnt as great as we thought.

Kindness
GOD helped me, so i'll help you
now you know what you've got to do.
spread a little kindness and you will see.
your life turns around rapidly.
the LORD gave us a heart that we should use
it's not something that should be abused.
bringing happiness to your fellow man
and always giving a helping hand.
it does not matter, if you're a husband or wife
if you're rich, or poor, or if you're sick or well
we all must go through some kind of hell.
the world has gotten to a point
of fear to say hello
because we think that weakness will show.
strength lies in the tender heart
JESUS proved that from the start.
HE brought LAZARUS back from the dead
because in him he saw that his heart bled.
he walked with crutches most of his life
for he was born with a crippling disease
and cuts and bruises, he had many
but food he did'nt have any.
yet the little he had, he shared with the dogs in the streets
they licked his wounds
and kept him warm at night.
till he woke at morning light.

Time For A Little Praying
where could I go
now to find a prophet
who could explain
a brief simple literal
exemplified extended
a metaphor definition
of precious praying relative
to 21st century greed global
selfish inhuman indifference
hear main man told me
your praying every time
when you kindness stop
to help any stranger
struck by bad luck side
of life's lonely road

Simple Life
Imagine what it would be like
just to live the simple life,
a life with no electricity,
no radios, no TV and no music
blaring in your ears
twenty-four hours a day.
Back to the simple life
going to sleep when you are tied
and getting up when you want to,
work through the hours of daylight
on your own plot of land,
curl up with a good book
when evening calls.
Grow your own food
with no chemicals to help,
greet the morning sun
always with a smile.
