A Mimic
A mimic is like a parrot
and likes to repeat words.
They will take words or a phrase
that you have spoken once
and make it sound like
that is all you can say.
A suggestion of a quick snack
is then used for every meal
that you want to have.
“Oh, I thought you wanted…”
and so it goes on and on.
In the end, you make it clear
you have your own mind
and hope that will sink in.
However, you know it won’t
and the mimic starts all over again.

i can never say more beautiful words as you
for i am but your shadow

My Thoughts
Thought in the eyes,
The ears.
Thought in mind,
The brain,
Thought in heart,
The soul.
Great thought is great
when it becomes great deeds.
With my thoughts within
Building my world within
Learning with thought;
Is great learning wisdom.
Learning without thought,
Is opportunity lost.
Thought for others
Thought for God
Thought for good
Thought for God’s blessing
Thoughts teach me,
Thoughts educate me,
Thoughts clarify me,
Thoughts enlighten me.
Thoughts make me wise
Thoughts make me patience
Thoughts make me trust others
Thoughts make me clam.
Thoughts before act
Is smart and wise
Act before thoughts
Is stupid and foolish
That’s my thoughts
They make thinking clear
They make belief deepen
They make confidence high.
In thoughts, my world
In my world, make my thoughts.
In thoughts, my words
In my words, make my speech
It’s my thoughts count
Counting my thoughts
To endless counting thoughts
Thinking the thoughts endlessly
My thoughts and thoughts again.

The effect of words
Her words stung like a wasp
Their effect had me in a sad grasp
I never knew words hurt so much
Those words postulated a form of retouch
You see;
Words make you
Words break you
Words can set you free
Words can let you be
You see;
Words tend to hurt
When dished out carelessly without effort
The right choice of words can give hope
The wrong choice of words can take away hope
And make someone tie themselves with a rope
Words can make you love
Words can make you hate
Words can encourage
Or set you on a stormy rage
Words need to be sensitive
Words can be expensive
When constructively comprehensive
If you dismiss words saying they don't hurt
You are wrong my dear, so wrong
Then why do we have courts?
Saturated with overpriced lawyers
Confusing us with grammer
Abusing us with grammer
Reducing any chances of freedom if you stammer
As you stand before that vicious unpredictable hammer

Words are a powerful tool
Words can be cruel
and they can be kind
words can touch the heart
and invade the mind.
Words can be a weapon
as sharp as any knife
they can bring despair
and ruin someone's life.
But words can bring joy
and hope and cheer
words used wisely
can wipe away fear.
Words, words, words,
created in the mind
used to be nasty
or to be kind.
So watch your words
there a mighty tool
they can make you look smart
or an insensitive fool!

Play, Book, Poem Or Song
Sometimes little snippets
from our life gone by
can fire our imagination
and make our words fly.
A certain song can evoke
a memory of yesterday
and we will remember a bit of life
that has gone away.
Different scents and aromas
can do the same thing too
and make us travel back
to the days of our youth.
The harshness of any pain
we may have suffered yesterday
time has diminished it slightly
as it moves along its way.
However, with each memory
and inspiring thought,
from it grows into words
for a play, book, poem or song.

Talk To My Heart
I found a friend someone to help me
And a place I can be myself when Im in trouble now
Ive lost it and I dont know how
I come to you cause you can show me
Get me back to the me I know with a remedy
Baby I need your therapy
With your healing kiss you know how to make my mind relax
I will listen to the words you say and just lie back
Chorus
Talk to my heart thats where real talkin starts
Words of love that cut straight to my heart
Reach out and touch so few words say so much
I can hear you when you tell it like it is
When you talk straight to my heart
I guess it shows I need attention
Somehow youre asking all the right questions and Ive gotta say
Whats been on my mind these days
And I know you know just how to make my mind react
When its coming straight from you thats my first point of contact
Chorus
Talk to my heart thats where real talkin starts
Words of love that cut straight to my heart
Reach out and touch so few words say so much
I can hear you when you tell it like it is
When you talk straight to my
Im bad at making decisions
But being alone with you just feels so right feels so right
Im losing my inibitions
With every minute I share with you tonight share it with you tonight
Repeat chorus

The Value Of Words
Words what value words
when spoken in haste
what is their worth
words spat in spite
or an envious game
false words meaningless
what value words
a trusting word
honest and open speaks
volumes when listen to
without agenda given
with care and thought
placed into its being
what becomes its worth
words in variety
of context and meaning
fill blank spaces
where sometimes silence
is a more welcome sound
where nothing is better said
words have a value
consider their worth

Beauty
I could say she’s very lovely
Her complexion as smooth as silk
There’s no doubt in its verity
but she’s of a different ilk.
No words can express her beauty
To try would be a futile whim
The words would be a blaspheme-
To parrot them would be a sin.
Frenchmen would say vous êtes beau
A hackneyed phrase she heard before;
Italians, siete bello
Same old phrase from a different shore.
The fact is, her” beauty is truth”-
An ephemeral time of youth.

Words spoken
Words are spoken from the depth of the soul
Sometimes these words can be so cold
Like rotten cheese turning to mold
They come from a soul that we have sold
Sometimes we sound really bold
When kind words are never told
With nothing good to say
To make someone`s day
All we do is speak words that scold
So much so our soul grows old
Speaking from emotions uncontrolled
Breaking someone`s heart
That was once made of gold
So as we grow old
May you be foretold
Don`t leave a kind word untold
For a word is spoken from the depth of our soul

Ready & Willing
CHORUS
Girl it ain't no thing
If you're willing, we can't swing
I'm ready and willing
I hope you feel what I'm feeling
I want you here tonight
Cuz you got just what I like
I'm ready and willing
I hope you feel what I'm feeling
Seems, you been looking 'round my way
I can't hide it, I'm here to say
I been feelin', feelin' quite the same
And it seems strange
That we've had no exchange, of words
And I've had ?
We were meant to be
So let's throw the dice and we will see
Girl, I'll give you all that I have
We'll take things slowly, let's not move too fast
I'll make sure there's nothing you need
And I'll promise you baby, that I'll always be
CHORUS REPEAT
Girl, you know you got me in a daze
I won't lie, it's just your ways
That's got me feeling
Your actions ?
And, your love is blowing my mind
And your body's proving so kind
Girl, you consume my every thought
Baby come with me
Ready or not
Girl, I'll give you all that I have
We'll take things slowly, let's not move too fast
I'll make sure there's nothing you need
And I'll promise you baby, that I will always be
CHORUS REPEAT
SPOKEN: Yo, what's up baby? You know that's the reason I pulled you over here
right? Yeah, I'm ready, I'm willing, for whatever.
Gonna put you where you wanna be
I just wanna be your fantasy
Got me ready and willing
And I'll show you love, show you love
REPEAT X3
CHORUS REPEAT

Make A Play For Her Now
(v. peterson/v. vincent)
Vicki
Words of comfort and love
Spoken in design
Turn cruel unkind
You have your ready treasures or sin
And it all begins
With an innocent smile
Go on, make a play for her now
While Im standing here
I bleed so slow
You may never know
Whisper she is safe
That you sympathize
The darkest lies
When you know right now youll be gone
At the kiss of dawn
Your conscience runs clear
Go on, make a play for her now
While Im standing here
I bleed so slow
You may never know
And I wont make a sound
Who am I to lay the blame
When its all a game to you
You and I misfired
Left me cold and tired
Hey love its alright
Go on, make a play for her now
While Im standing here
I dont keep score
No not anymore
And I wont make a sound
Hey, who am I to lay the blame
When its just a game
In the back of your mind
The patterns starting to unwind
And you know youre alone
Oh, but you smile anyhow
When the moment allows
Make a play for her now

Words
we open the doors to worlds unknown
when we sit and read.
words help us to travel
this earth far and wide
even makes us soar high into the sky.
words can tell us of the past
the present, and even the future.
if we only look
inside a book.
words to make a contract
words to make a vow
all these words
we can use right now.
words tell your feelings, your thoughts, desires, passions
likes, dislikes, fears, joys
but most of all, love can express the love you have within.
for a mother, father, sister, brother
for a man or a woman.
your chest becomes overwhelmed
with the feeling that you have inside.
a love that you can not hide.
a love so strong that it consumes your soul
a beautiful wonder to behold.
for it rises higher than the highest mountain
and deeper than the deepest sea.
when you say those special words
'you belong to me'.
words sharpen the mind to all that is done
like the rising of the sun.
if we could not see or hear words,
it would be like living in darkness.
and never learning to appreciate
what we was given.
so these words i write today
expresses what i want to say.
without words we could not live
and that my friend
would be a down right sin.

who will write
echoes of others
to write self
is to know self
to mimic others
is to dilute self

In Other Words
Youve got my heart in unfamiliar territory
Its never been out here on my sleeve
Here tonight with you its quite a diffrent story
You bring out a side of me no one has ever seen.
Theres somethin Im afraid to say to you too early
But Id be a fool to wait too late
My mind is cautious but my heart is in a hurry
Which ones right is really hard to say
Chorus:
In other words
I cant put I love you
In other words
When I look into your eyes
No other words
Can capture what Im feelin
My heart tells my head
Some things cant be said
In other words
Better men then i, have tried to find a better phrase
Still I love you has a ring Ive never heard
In other words
What we got here is a touchy situation
You smile as if you read my mind
Pair of I love yous gently ends this conversation
cause matters of the heart cant be defined
Chorus:
In other words
I cant put I love you
In other words
When I look into your eyes
No other words
Can capture what Im feelin
My heart tells my head
Some things cant be said
In other words
Better men then i, have tried to find a better phrase
Still I love you has a ring Ive never heard.....
In other words
Better men then i, have tried to find a better phrase
Still I love you has a ring Ive never heard
In other words

Take You On Peak
There are so many things besides
Deep meaning and insight provides
Flowers and their fragrance spread all over
Even if provided no cover
Do roses need any introduction?
Do the words need any recognition?
Absolutely no if they are properly conveyed
If not then people may guess and stay dismayed
Words have power and strength
It has variety and can cover any length
Spoken or silent carry same meaning
Where it goes then there is point in winning
Words are reflection of stable mind
No where you may have deviation to find
The work is done as per promises made in words
There is no going back but only to look towards
It may have desired effect
Even if not put into act
There is somewhere hidden fact
Words make it forceful with tact
Rest of the things eyes score
People can read clearly therefore
Face and mouth may act together
There is only adding of feather
Love the words as they are spoken
They are not mere gesture or token
Once out then can't be taken back
As there may be lot more at stake
Think and then speak
It may otherwise make you weak
Speak firmly and then stick
These all quality may take you at the peak

So Much More Than Words Can Say (best love poems)
I'm trying to write a love song
But the words won't come out right
My heart is breaking painfully
Yet I'm lost for words tonight.
I'm trying to find some lyric
That would make you turn around
My heart cries out in agony
But my voice makes not a sound.
I'm trying to say I'm sorry
As I watch you walk away
My heart hurts so unbearably
So much more than words can say.

Words between words
Words between words
~
I try and say most things subtle
To slip words between words
In the hope you will read and hear
Sometimes I speak with blunt honesty
Sometimes wish I just didn’t speak
Sketching in secret characters
Telling stories built on fantasy
When a subtle look reveals
The obvious biography
Those words between words
What I write, what I speak
I understand words more than people
Words always seem easy
We all have things we wish to say
Some are said, others kept
All that is written then spoken
Are words between words

What My Heart Wants To Say
you're amazing
so amazing
have I told you
enough
you're my angel
guardian angel
god knows I've been blessed with love
but if I been gone tomorrow
would you know how deep my loves goes
have I ever told you
you're the one
if the words don't come my way
hope its still love
hope it still shows
if the words don't come my way
hope you still know what my heart wants to say
words so tender
I surrender
to this feeling
so true
my affirmation
my inspiration
darling I have been blessed with you
if the words don't come my way
hope you still know
hope it still shows
if the words don't come my way
I hope you still know what my heart wants to say
but if I be gone tomorrow
would you know how deep my loves goes
if I was gone forever
would you know how much I care
you make me feel like flying
and failing all emotion
that everytime you look at me
you see it in my eyes
if the words don't come my way
I hope you still know
if the words don't come my way
I hope you still know
I hope it still shows
if the words don't come my way
I hope you still know
what my heart wants to say
if the words don't come my way
I hope you still know
hope it still shows
if the worst don't come my way
I hope you still know
I hope it still shows
I hope still you know
what my heart wants to say

Lunch With a Poet
I had lunch with a poet, just the other day.
A poet who has written fine and lofty verse,
Conveying his experiences, emotions and his ideas, in
Vivid, imaginative ways, condensed in simple language,
Choosing words for sound and power,
Rather than impressing readers with poetic adulterations.
Almost apologetically, he said he uses 'nickel words'
To write his inner thoughts. It was as if he were at fault,
As though he thought those simple sounds
Had lessened the intent of his poetic worth.
I emphasized how wrong he was, and tried
To make clear, a poet writes in sympathy with his reader,
Overleaping the barriers of understanding by the simplicity
Of his language, and of his words.
To write with words of misty meaning does not make
A mystic.
To write with vulgar words does not lift up the poem
On wings of song, it only floats as high as the poet's
Commonality who, mistaking flatulence for inspiration, becomes
Enmeshed in a literary byproduct of the foulest of excretion and Smells.
My friend failed to intellectually understand,
But spiritually Accepts, as his writings reveal,
That clarity of thought and mind is the poet's
Highest point of the poet's integrity.

Lovers In The World Of Words
we shall be lovers
in the world of the words
you can be a pronoun
not a name of a person
and i can be a verb
making love with you
in the world of words
you can just be a phrase
and i can be a clause
we can make a sentence
not a question but this
interjection but not that
loud but something so
discreet like a moaning
sound of a woman
titillated by a man inside
a scented room and then
for all we know in the world
of words we have become
a beautiful poem of love
insatiable desire, endless
quest of our real meaning.
